en though everything went smoothly thanks to all of our vendors—it was just a crazy day!). She always seemed to know exactly where to be at the right moment and kept everything moving smoothly. Before the wedding, she also shot our engagement photos and made us feel much more comfortable in front of the camera. She was incredibly accommodating and perceptive, which made the whole experience feel natural and easy. On our wedding day, despite the downpour, she found the perfect opportunity when the rain stopped to whisk us outside for some gorgeous shots around our venue—something I really appreciated. She also did an amazing job wrangling family members for group shots and stayed patient throughout it all. And, to top it off, when my mom had trouble zipping up my dress, Amy was there to help—something I wasn’t expecting but was so grateful for! What stood out to me the most was how, throughout the wedding, I barely even noticed where she was—yet she was always in the perfect spot to capture the moment. The candid shots she took are some of my favorites, and a huge reason why we chose her in the first place. Looking back at the photos, I can’t help but smile every time. Amy truly cares about her craft, and it shows in every photo. She’s a true professional, and we couldn’t have asked for a better photographer!

She is also incredibly prepared – through her intake forms and general questions to us and bride and groom, Amy collected a strong understanding of what we were looking for and how to prioritize our requests. In our pre-wedding interactions, we really felt as if Amy got to know us as a couple and appreciated what made us unique in order to reflect that in our photos. Day of, Amy was a true professional, providing clear advice on how to pose for group shots, especially to our friends and family who were not as comfortable in having their pictures taken, all without being overbearing or off-putting. Amy went above and beyond as a trusted companion by applying her experience and natural instincts to help us relax and enjoy each moment. Through a few stressors pre-ceremony, Amy was a calming presence and I am we were so grateful to have her support throughout the evening. Amy made our day into something truly extraordinary, and we couldn't be happier with the memories she captured for us!

exceptionally compassionate. When she could tell I was stressed when getting ready and running late, she promised me she had nowhere else to be and to not worry. When wrangling big groups of aunts and uncles, she was deftly able to have them shift in place, fix a tie, button a jacket, tuck their hair back, and more, without wasting time. And her communication is just as professional and prompt in the runup as it is on the day itself. We never had any doubts about what Amy would be providing, who would be coming with her, or when she'd be arriving, because she made it extremely clear from the get-go. There's so much happening during a wedding that can potentially keep you from enjoying it, but Amy was able to capture all of the important moments and some spontaneous ones as well without feeling overbearing or intrusive. She's great at directing awkward family members and has such an eye for color and composition, which was perfect for our tropical-themed wedding. We just got the final images back and everyone in my family is raving about them. Not only did Amy and her wonderful assistant capture everything we asked for, they also managed to showcase the fun and the love at our event. She's fabulous and gets our highest recommendation. She seemed to be everywhere getting every shot, I don’t know how she did it! Leading up to the wedding, she was so easy to work with and organized all our group shots so our wedding day was seamless. I woke up the morning after our wedding to a couple of incredible photos in my inbox and then the day we got back from our honeymoon, she sent us an album of sneak peaks. She can give direction with authority when needed (e.g. organizing family pics) but is never in the way of important moments. Her second photographer at our wedding, Justin, was also a complete delight. They both made us feel comfortable and contributed to the great vibe of our big day. We are incredibly happy with the pictures themselves and would hire Amy again without hesitation!

e interested in having a lot of "in the moment" photos from our wedding. She did not disappoint! We have so many fun and amazing pictures of us and our guests having a great time. The staged photos are beautiful as well. It's going to be difficult to figure out which ones to frame since there are so many great options! Aside from the photos themselves, Amy was great to work with. The worksheet she sent us in advance helped us think through all the family shots and made that part of the event run very smoothly. She was also good at instructing us on how to stand and position ourselves. To top it off, she even sent us our thumb drive in wooden box with our names engraved on it. We could not have been more pleased!

she got amazing candid shots at our wedding and absolutely beautiful portraits. For some of the photos we had no idea she had been in that location at that time--she thought of and captured everything! Truly an incredible experience with Amy and her team and I cannot stop gushing over our photos.

But in case you want to keep reading, we wrote this very long review because we feel so honored and truly lucky that she was part of our wedding: Amy approached our entire wedding process with a seemingly endless supply of care, sincerity, advice, patience, and humor, not to mention incredible talent and the utmost professionalism. Although we hired Amy to be our photographer, by the end of it all, she had also become our wedding planner (she had amazing suggestions for everything from day-of schedule to videography), our therapist (we had more than one panicked moment during planning and she was gentle, calm, and always available for a last-minute video call or email exchange), and our friend (she is such a blast to hang with, just an amazing human).   First, there are the photos themselves. They are incredible. Even better than we could have ever imagined. Authentic, beautiful, candid, warm, genuine, breathtaking, fun. My partner and I wanted to look our best, but also like ourselves. We can be goofy, but we also wanted beautiful photos that underscored the serious step we were taking. Amy brought all of this out in her gorgeous photos, capturing every moment and emotion. My partner and I were a little worried we wouldn't look or feel like ourselves in an atypical setting like wedding-day photos, but Amy made us so comfortable in front of the camera. She really has a knack for capturing real moments and getting people to feel like they can just be themselves around a camera. But she also has an amazing eye and the unique ability to capture small moments, ones that seem ordinary but are actually extraordinary, the photos that end up becoming your most cherished memories. Our wedding photos are such a gift because when we look at them, we're transported back to a really special day, one we'll get to relive again and again thanks to Amy. There's also the more logistical, managerial side of things, to which Amy also brought so much compassion and skill. She was wonderful at wrangling lots of people (and several canine guests), managing multiple schedules, and keeping everyone calm and in the moment and happy. Every single guest and vendor at some point has told us how impressed they were by both Amy's artistic style and professionalism. We're like, "We knowww, aren't we sooo smart for hiring her?!" (but really it's that Amy is incredible). We can't wait to work with her again someday. Lastly, we planned our entire wedding during COVID, and Amy could not have been more patient, understanding, or flexible with us—particularly when we threw some curveballs, including but not limited to: changing our date, doubling our number of guests with three weeks to go, and hiring videography at the last minute. Planning a wedding is hard and stressful enough, so you'll want Amy. Planning one during COVID is even harder and more stressful, so you'll really want Amy in your corner. Thank you so much, Amy! She even helped us stay on our timeline and was super professional throughout. As awkward and uncomfortable as my husband and I are, she helped us feel at ease. Amy is different from other photographers in that her photos feel natural and raw. You can see and feel the emotion in her photos. Our family and and friends were blown away just from the little preview we saw of our photos. We can not wait to see the rest. and to have her capture out next special event!!

nning my wedding, because I knew the photographs would be what I had to cherish once it was all over. I must have looked at a hundred different reviews and portfolios. I am very picky and wanted a photographer with a gift for catching candid moments while maintaining their eye for composition, but who would also know how to direct us to get great formal portraits. The candid aspect, especially, was important. I happen to know Amy's husband from a work project and when he told me to check her out I thought "sure, why not?" without any particular expectations. Then I actually looked at her portfolio and it absolutely blew me out of the water. A lot of photographers take good pictures, but none of them stand out and the photos blur together. Not so with Amy. She knows how to capture the individual spirit of each wedding, and how to visually tell the story of the day. I couldn't be happier with my pictures. Putting aside her technical skill, Amy is also just an absolute delight to work with. She was invested in all the details of my wedding (many of which were very unusual) and got super excited anytime I texted her a new picture or update on what I was planning. She offered excellent advice without being pushy and helped my photo-shy husband feel at ease in front of the camera. She also got us our engagement and wedding photos all within her promised timeframe, and all wonderfully organized and edited. She and her co-photographer were wonderful, grounded presences to have around on the big day and I truly felt there were invested in catching all the details that made my wedding magical. I would recommend her without reservation, and think it's a shame that not everyone gets to have Amy as their wedding photographer. Hire her!!!!

oney is there a lot to think about! Amy kept me cool and collected. She helped me focus on what was most important and worked backward from there to ensure we captured all of our favorite moments. Amy took our engagement pictures as well, and she was able to help my extremely camera-shy husband get comfortable with having his picture taken before the big day. The extra time and effort she took to get to know us and make sure we were happy before the wedding made all the difference in the world. During the wedding, she had contingency plan after contingency plan and was quick to solve problems before I even noticed they existed. She must have donned a ninja suit at some point during the reception because Amy was able to catch some incredibly sweet and genuinely hilarious candid shots without making anyone feel like they were "on camera." I cannot recommend her enough. 10,000 stars!

In particular, we loved her ability to capture the true emotions of the day through both the organized photos as well as, more importantly, through her candid shots. We searched quite a bit for someone who could realistically do that and I can tell you that it's very rare. We personally enjoyed her work and presence, but I think the true validation came from our guests who were impressed by how she actively got on the dance floor to get the best shots and angles. Once we received our photos, we heard, over and over again, just how impressed people were with how 'she truly captured the emotions of the day.' I can't tell you how many times I heard this from others! We firmly believe this as well and hope that others will have the chance for her to capture the emotions of their special day. Aside from being incredibly talented, Amy is an absolute pleasure to be around. Your photographer is the person you as a couple will undoubtedly spend the most time with throughout the day. Having a caring, fun, and personable photographer makes all the difference in feeling both comfortable and enjoying the day even more. We hope to work with Amy again for family photos.
