Amy is an absolutely amazing and talented photographer! She captured the energy and feeling of our wedding impeccably. There is so much to think about when planning your wedding so...
we were very grateful to have such a creative and professional photographer present on our special day. Amy was attentive, intuitive and had exceptional communication. We were married at City Hall and had our reception at another location so there was a bit of running around. Amy was very flexible and knew how to capture each moment elegantly. She has a real gift to capture people in their true essence through the lens of her camera and her warm personality made our guests feels comfortable while being photographed. We knew we could rely on her to catch all the special and funny moments. Amy was so fun to work with! She knew the best windows, stairs and hidden romantic corners at City Hall to capture the day beautifully. She suggested we get some shots in the park across the street and they turned out to be some of our favorites. We really appreciated her creative vision at moments like these! The photos really went above and beyond anything we could have imagined, including pictures of us getting ready, the dress, the bouquet, the love of the ceremony and our friends and family dancing. Amy is incredibly passionate about what she does and genuinely cares about portraying the true personality and style of who she is photographing. The final photos allow us to re-live the love, joy and romance of our wedding day. I can’t recommend Amy enough!! She is truly amazing!!
One word- AMAZING!! I feel that a photographer is a huge decision and investment that can either make or break a wedding day, and I know we made the right decision by hiring Amy! S...
he drove hours to do an engagement session in Santa Cruz (our hometown) and when the fog welcomed her arrival, she knew just what to do! As my hair flattened and I became discouraged, she kept us laughing and used her skills to scout out the best lighting and screneries. We ended up with the best gallery of pictures... absolutely blowing our minds!
On our big day, Amy and her assistant did a great job of working with our large guest count and LARGE FAMILY! The timeline of pictures went exactly as she had helped me plan and we accomplished everything on the checklist..plus some!
Amy is not just a hobby photographer, she is an extremely educated photographer who is willing to collaborate to meet your needs and wishes. We were impressed with her eye for exceptional photo opportunities. Her charisma among the wedding party and guests was like no other vendor I have encountered... We truly laughed all day!
The best part....We had our pictures (larger gallery than we expected) back in exactly 4 weeks!
I can't recommend Amy Thompson Photography enough..I wish there were a way to give 10 stars!
Amy is AMAZING! She has the uncanny ability to make you look great and feel effortlessly comfortable in front of the camera. I'm generally very camera shy and we had a very small...
wedding, yet Amy fit right in, was there to capture all the special moments and behind-the-scenes extras. We didn't make it easy (we were two hours' drive outside of town in the middle of a hot sunny day at an unusual venue) and she was not only a joy to have around, but full of great ideas on how to make beautiful photos. She even gave us a killer black and white polaroid the day of the ceremony so we'd have something to ogle while waiting for the final prints (which didn't take long at all). She's a talented artist, a warm spirit, and absolute professional. Can't recommend her enough. Thank you Amy!
Absolutely perfect from start to finish! Amy is hands down the easiest person to communicate with. She is fun to be around and of course very talented! We never felt like we were b...
eing photographed throughout the wedding night which was important, too. The finished product got to us very quickly and we love all of the photos, the first look shots and the candid shots are our favorites. I would recommend Amy to any couple who is looking for a very sweet, thoughtful, relaxed and professional photographer for their big day. Thank you, Amy, for everything! xx
We cannot say enough good things about Amy. Her communication skills, attention to detail, and passion for her work are the three things we love the most, but the list goes on and...
on. Amy was so pleasant from day one, and was consistently attentive and responsive through the entire 9-month process of our engagement providing guidance along the way. The way Amy tells a story via capturing the candid and joyful moments is unsurpassed. It was difficult to cherish each moment on the actual day, but Amy ensured that the precious moments were captured in the most natural and organic way. Not only is she easy-going, but is flexible and hard-working. We are so thankful we found Amy, and would recommend her to anyone. She is truly a gem!

hensive about this aspect of the wedding, but Amy made me comfortable and felt able to be myself in a way I didn't expect. And the photos look wonderful! Amy captured the whole event in a way that conveys not just who was there, but what it felt like - our joy, love, sense of family and community, and enjoyment of the venue we chose. Our families are so happy with the photos as well, and everyone is able to continue to enjoy the experience through the images. I cannot recommend Amy more highly!
Amy was an absolute joy to work with in every way; we had an incredible experience with her and would work with her again without hesitation.

feel comfortable immediately after meeting her. We had a quick meeting a few days before the wedding and we knew, even after the first few minutes, that we made the right choice.
It felt like we'd known her for years when our wedding day came. Having that level of comfort with someone brings an indescribable sense of calmness on what could otherwise be considered a stressful day. The photos turned out to be stunningly beautiful, perfectly capturing the happiness of our day in such a way that it brings a smile to my face just thinking about them.
Amy, thank you for being so easy to work with and taking such beautiful photos!!!

ork with so many different people and so many different venues was above my expectations. Amy really took the time to meet with my husband and I to find out what types of photos were most important to us and to find out the layout of our venue to assure vibes, lighting, etc.
The day of my wedding Amy was extremely punctual and really took the time to find the best lighting, location and angles to photograph me/fiancée, bridesmaids/groomsmen, wedding dress, etc. The pictures were fantastic!
Pre-ceremony and reception Amy took amazing candid shots, as well as more formal photos of me and my husband and others in our wedding parties. She knew we didn't want to spend a ton of time taking photos, but rather celebrate with our guests and she kept true to that. In all Amy really takes the time to get to know your wants and needs and really sticks to them. She is a fantastic persona and photographer. I highly recommend her!
Amy Thompson is truly an exceptional photographer and I am so glad we decided to hire her for our wedding in May. I was initially drawn to her photos because they felt so candid, o...
rganic, and natural…almost like I was at the wedding, which is exactly what we were looking for in a photographer. During my first call with Amy I was certain I wanted to hire her because not only is she very skilled at what she does, I also just really liked her vibe as a person and felt like she would jive with our group.
For the next few months she was in consistent communication with me to make sure we were both on the same page about the overall flow of the day and what shots we wanted to get. I spoke with her more than any other vendor and she was always prompt to follow up via email after our call. She even went out to the venue a few weeks before the wedding to stake out some good photo opportunities, which is such a strong testament to how committed she is to doing a good job for her clients.
We just got our photos back last week and my husband and I are both beyond thrilled with how they turned out. When I look through our photos I am instantly taken back to the best day of my life…the way I felt when I walked toward my husband-to-be with my mom and dad by my side, how much fun we had dancing with our friends and family, and how utterly in love and excited we felt about our future…I’m there again reliving every moment.
