An Elegant Affair

Lisa was amazing to work with! She is so knowledgable about her work and she helped me find exactly what I was looking for in my flowers! She was also very accommodating with adding pictures into my bouquet to make it extra special! I got so many compliments on my bouquet and the other floral arrangements at my wedding! I would definitely recommend Lisa to anyone!

Lisa did a wonderful job on all of our arrangements, bouquets, and centerpieces. I told her what flowers I wanted and gave her a general idea of what I wanted and the flowers were above my ideas...they were beautiful

Lisa was wonderful to work with, very responsive and helpful in guiding us to the types of flowers we chose for arrangements/bouquets. She delivered the flowers we had agreed to in lovely arrangements, bouquets and boutonnieres.

It was such a pleasure working with Lisa. She was so open to our ideas and so happy to be part of our day. She greeted me with a hug on the wedding day and everything turned out great. I expected flowers to be a great expense the day of the wedding but we stuck to a budget and Lisa really helped us do that. I would recommend Lisa to everyone. She was easy to get a hold of and was always very welcoming :)

Lisa is a be skilled florist. I loved all her pieces, except the two small flower girl bouquets were forgotten but we had a quick fix by using two pieces from the aisles at the church.

What to say about Lisa Monday? I started looking for florists a month prior to my wedding. I met with a few and was shocked and the exorbitant prices and lack of flexibility. Then I met Lisa Monday who not only is the sweetest, funnest person, but she is also very organized, a very good listener, she delivered exactly what I wanted at literally half the price of everyone else. On my wedding day she was there early to make sure everything was in order. The flower arrangements everywhere were fantastic, I got so many compliments and felt so happy. I thoroughly recommend Lisa to everyone.

Lisa was so easy to work with and was able to guide us (people who know very little about flowers) to pick the best flower combination. She was also able to use some flowers from a family friend's farm, which was great. She dropped the boquets and boutineers off at the hotel and was able to drop off and set up the large flower vases at the church along with having the flowers at the reception. The yellow and red flowers looked great together and lasted a long time. The bridesmaid bouquets lasted for about a week after the wedding and the table center pieces lasted even longer than that.

Overall I was pleased with an Elegant Affair. Lisa the owner, was very kind, warm, welcoming and relaxed, which was perfect for my simple elegant low key wedding. I chose an Elegant Affair because it was a recommened vendor at Morningside Inn, where my wedding was hosted. My flowers were beautiful. I used sunflowers and gerber daisys. My bridal bouquet used sunflowers and cream roses. It was exactly what I wanted! The only complaint I would have is that the bridesmaids bouquets were not exactly what I asked for. I wanted the bridesmaids to have sunflowers with red and orange gerber daisys. Lisa only used yellow gerber daisys. I was a little surprised considering my colors were red, orange and yellow but at the end of the day . . . it was more important that I was getting married and not about the flowers being perfect. Lisa stopped by a few times before I got married and was very kind. I would recommend an Elegant Affair but be prepared to go with the flow rather than having a particular vision in mind. Best of luck future brides and remember your wedding will go by faster than you know it, enjoy every minute of it and remember the real reason you are getting married, to share your love with your husband!

We could truly not have been more pleased with working with Lisa Monday to do the flowers at our wedding! Her prices were extremely reasonable and her patience with us was amazing! I can't tell you how many times we contacted her to have her tweak our order, and Lisa was always willing to accomodate us and go above and beyond to find the exact flowers that would complement our wedding colors. We received tons of complements (and continue to) on the flowers for our wedding. It truly was even more elegant than I had originally envisioned. I have nothing negative to say about working with Lisa, and can assure you that you won't have any regrets by working with her as well!

Lisa is the in-house florist at Morningside Inn, and she is wonderful! She knows her stuff, and has many suggestions and resources for those of us who, initially, aren't sure what we want. The bouquets, boutonnieres, and other decorative flowers (I had red and ivory roses with ferns) were perfect, flawless, beautiful. Even though I wasn't a "bridezilla" when it came to the flowers, they were absolutely perfect, exactly what I'd imagined. 15 minutes before the ceremony the groomsmen discovered their boutonnieres were missing - we think an employee of Morningside accidentally threw them away. No worries, Lisa had new ones ready to go in no time, and the ceremony started on time with no problems at all - and even after that Lisa sent an apology email asking how she can remedy this - of course we were not upset at all so we just gave her a huge thank you. I highly, highly recommend An Elegant Affair. Lisa rules!! :)

Lisa at An Elegant Affair is excellent! I started this wedding journey with Lisa through a friend's recommendation - sight unseen - and ended up with more than a florist, but a sounding board and a friend! We had a ball together and she executed the plan to a T. Lisa is honest - when you tell her you want X flower, she tells you pricing, availability, etc. Lisa is flexible - I think I sent her a million photos - my file was probably 3 inches thick, and we went back and forth on different things up until it was time to order - and even then we were able to talk about different ideas - just not different flowers :) Lisa is helpful - she has a great creative eye (has to!) and she suggested some things that worked out great. She made sure that all the special touches we talked about were incorporated into our floral decor and when I couldn't make up my mind and left it to her, I had total confidence in what I would end up with. (Oh AND she saved me when my headpiece ended up backordered and eventually cancelled!) Our bouquets were gorgeous, the pomander she made for our flower girl was stunning and she stepped outside of the box with several things while maintaining the look I wanted with unique touches. When we returned home (over a week after the wedding) there were flowers on the table from the reception that were still beautiful! Additionally, I had her do flowers for my (then future) in-laws 50th Anniversary dinner and they were beautiful and lasted a long, long time and my MIL loved them. (Last Minute!) Everything was delivered on time - actually early - as she and I had worked hard with the timing (because it was TIGHT with a noon wedding) to allow her to go to the reception and start there with the ceremony florals and not have to leave those to get the ceremony flowers somewhere. Lisa is wonderful, send her your ideas and listen to hers. Sometimes there is no amount of money that will get you the exact bloom you want - it happens - in the end, as with any floral designer, TRUST her to do what you are paying her to do and let her create a beautiful canvas for your ceremony and reception.

I met with Lisa and showed her a picture of the centerpieces my mom and I had made, and she used all the flowers that were in the centerpiece to create bouquets for all of us! There were as many colors as bridesmaids, so we did a different color for each bridesmaid, which turned out great! Everyone commented on how good they looked. I gave Lisa complete authority to decide what everything would have in it as well as the colors for the ties, just deciding what color flowers to have in each one. They turned out great!

Lisa did an amazing job with the flowers for my wedding! At the beginning I showed her a general idea of what I wanted, and she came up with the most beautiful arrangements. The flowers were perfect in every way, and I could not have asked for anything more. I highly recommend Lisa to any and all brides who want their special day to be truly remarkable.

Lisa did an amazing job with out flowers. From the beginning she was prompt and dependable. She listened to what we wanted and made suggestions to improve our vision. She delivered our beautiful arrangements to the church and waited until everyone was there to make sure we had what we needed. I absolutely LOVED my bouquet. I would highly recommend Lisa to anyone looking for wedding arrangements.
