An Elegant Touch of Strings

We had an Elegant Touch of Strings provide a string trio to play at our wedding at St. Mary's College in Moraga, and they were simply superb. From a medley of Beatles music as people were getting setup and settling in, to beautiful ceremony music, they also sounded wonderful. They were incredibly helpful and flexible in working with friends of ours who were singing during the ceremony, finding time to practice before our guests arrived to ensure they sounded like they'd been playing and singing together for years by the time the ceremony started! We've had numerous compliments on the music, and it's all thanks to Sherry and her fantastic team.

The name of this company is exactly what it is... an Elegant Touch of Strings to really add that special component to any wedding ceremony! My husband and I were married in an outdoor ceremony in April. We had the String Duo (cello and violin) for an hour before and during the ceremony, which was perfect. And very affordable! I submitted my song choices to Sherry a couple weeks before the wedding (they have lots of demos you can listen to on their website), and they played everything that I asked for no problem. The strings sounded beautiful and could be heard very clearly outdoors (without amplification). Would definitely recommend!

Yes, please! Inexpensive, professional, responsive, efficient and high quality! What more could you ask for? Sherry performed with one of her fellow musicians at my wedding 2 weekends ago and it was magical. They played all the songs we requested. The music was beautiful. I just wish I wasn't running around more so I could enjoy it. She's also by far one of the most responsive vendors I've ever worked with. Also, how many vendors in Sonoma can you get for under a thousand, and of this quality? I'd definitely hire her again should the need arise.

Our September 14th,2013 wedding at The Palm Event Center in Pleasanton was beautiful and romantic! The string quartet added that extra elegant touch to our ceremony and cocktail hour. The ceremony was a tear jerker with the string quartet playing some of our favorite songs. As The doors opened and I walked down the aisle, guests gasped as the song added that drama and romance we wanted them to feel. The cocktail hour was fun and played more contemporary songs. Sherry and her group were beyond wonderful! Even if songs were not in their usual repertoire, they were very accommodating in learning the songs. There was never any hesitation on answering questions or provide you information you may need. Thank you Sherry and An Elegant Touch of Strings! Job well done!

My ceremony was so beautiful especially with the trio playing music. They did such a wonderful job and the music was beautiful. I am so happy I went with them. Everyone loved them.

Sherry Lewis is an amazing violinest and our song choice sheet makes it simple to decide what you want to play during what times. She also has samples on her website. The price was very good and we definitely got what we paid for.

sherry lewis was very helpful in finding the sheet music we wanted for certain parts of the ceremony. the musicians were amazing. we had a violionist and a cellist play outdoors. since we didn't have the umbrella set up on time for them (our fault entirely), they started a little late, but pleasantly surprised us by playing the allotted 2 hours that we signed the contract for - during the cocktail hour too. they went above and beyond, moving their entire set up from the ceremony site to the indoor reception room. what a bonus. having an elegant touch of strings at our wedding added the perfect touch.

An Elegant Touch of Strings (string Trio) played at our wedding on 10/01/2011. They played so beautifully, we were very happy with everything. Sherry was great to work with, everything was very easy and went smoothly. I highly recommend them!

I would highly recommend An Elegant Touch of Strings to brides considering string music for their wedding. They were very easy to work with and a great value. And the music at the ceremony was great - I didn't get to hear anything except when we started walking down the aisle and my music but I did hear from guests that they loved it. And, of course, I absolutely loved walking down to string music and it was gorgeous. I felt like a princess.

Not only were they professional and very talented, but their prices could not be beat! They were an inexpensive way to add quite a bit of class. We used them for the ceremony only, as out venue did not allow amplified music outdoors, and I am so glad we did. There is nothing like walking down the aisle to Pachelbel's Cannon in D played live. All of our guests were very impressed as well!

The music was outstanding; absolutely beautiful. Sherry was so easy to work with, and handle my somewhat last minute change with ease. They arrived well in advance and just sounded beautiful. They have quite a large selection to choose from as well.;I can't really think of anything.
