I found an expensive bouquet that I wanted to recreate. Katie was able to recreate it within our budget, and it looks amazing in my pictures!

I'm so happy I found Katie. I'm from a very small town with no flower shops. Those nearby were outrageously priced and the quality was not what I was looking for. My makeup artist recommended Katie and I'm so glad she did. Katie put together the most beautiful arrangements, full of the flowers I was looking for. She was also very patient with my very specific vision (I may have sent her a few powerpoints). On my day, she traveled nearly two hours to my hometown to set up and ensure everything looked perfect. I'd absolutely recommend her to anyone!

An Occasional Florist surpassed my expectations with the flowers and arrangements for our wedding earlier this year. We had a winter wedding at the Franklin Park Conservatory, and Kate's arrangements stood out beautifully among all the flowers and greenery at the venue. I didn't know much about flowers - specific types, seasonality, etc. - and Kate spent as much time as I needed to ensure I understood my options and helped me choose the perfect combinations. My bridal bouquet was absolutely stunning - huge white gardenias, pale lavender roses, softly tinted hydrangeas, purple lisianthis, and deep purple stock. In addition to the corsages, boutonnieres, and incredible centerpieces (tall, rectangular vases filled with dark purple delphiniums and natural stones), Kate also provided rose petals for the aisle, as well as gorgeous roses and ribbons to decorate our wedding cake. Her prices were great - we truly got a lot for the money spent. We could not have had a better experience with An Occasional Florist!

We chose the Occasional Florist after seeing Katie and her staff's work at some social events. The flowers were always fresh looking and arranged very nicely at these events. We were not disappointed with the flowers Occasional Florist provided for my daughter's wedding. We met with Katie and had some vague idea of what the bride wanted. The bride was able to describe some ideas to Katie, Katie made some suggestions and in one meeting the bridal bouquet, maid of honor bouquet, five attendants' bouquets, groom's boutonniere, best man's boutonniere, five groomsmen boutonnieres, flower girl wristlet, ring bearer's boutonniere, mother corsages, grandmother corsages, father boutonnieres, a grandfather boutonniere, and two large alter flower arrangements were planned. The venue provided hurricane candle holders and mirrors so we did not need any other table arrangements for the 25 guest tables at the reception. The bridal bouquet was exquisite. It consisted of ivory roses and bling arranged strategically throughout the bouquet. The bridesmaid bouquets were well constructed with beautiful, fresh looking flowers. All the boutonnieres were made with very nice flowers. The groom's ivory rose boutonniere was very elegant looking. I had a couple of last minute adjustments needed and Katie was very gracious in making the changes. Her prices are very reasonable, the service is excellent, floral material selected was elegant, and delivery to the venue was very smooth. I would highly recommend her and her staff for your wedding floral needs.

I was not very pleased with this service. When we met I was pretty clear about what colors we wanted (blue, darker) and specifically that I didn't want the stems wrapped up like traditional bouquets but rather tied together so they fan out. When the flowers came, the ones in my bouquet were much more purple than blue and the ones in the bridesmaids were light blue rather than darker blue. All the bouquets were also tied with ribbon, which I very specifically asked not to happen. Additionally, some of the leaves and flowers were wilting in my bouquet - we actually ended up cutting a few off. Also the boutineers were pretty whimpy and wilted - my husbands actually broke and (luckily but unluckily) we had a grandfather not come so my husband used that one instead. Overall cheap price for what we got but I was pretty disappointed overall.

Kate did an absolutely amazing job with my flowers! An Occasional Florist is very reasonably priced and provides beautiful bouquets. I wasn't really sure how I wanted the flowers to look and provided pretty vague descriptions of what I wanted for my bouquet and those for my bridesmaids. Kate managed to take the few specific details I gave her and turn them into absolutely gorgeous bouquets for my girls and me. She also made nosegays for the moms which were beautiful and delicate and really made the moms feel special. I would highly recommend using An Occasional Florist for all your floral needs.

When we met with Katie I really had no idea what flowers I wanted. I just wanted something that looked good and didn't cost a fortune. After sitting and talking with her, she somehow picked my brain to come up with something. So on my wedding day, I didn't know really what to expect. I was so impressed with how beautiful everything turned out!! I got so many compliments on them! I absolutely loved what she did. We were able to get my bouquet, my 2 bridesmaids & matron of honor bouquets as well as 3 mother's wrist corsages (and all had roses in them!) for $425! Katie was great to work with and I was extremely happy with her work!

Originally, I was hoping to do my own flowers because I didn't want to pay over $1000 for flowers. A neighbor of ours told us that Katie from An Occasional Florist was able to do all of her flowers for around $500, so I was intrigued. I called Katie, and we met at a coffee shop. We brought sample pictures, and Katie was able to calculate all of our costs right there. There were no hidden fees, and the contract was very clear. We were able to get my bridal bouquet, three bridesmaids bouquets, four corsages, five boutonniere, two altar arrangements, a mini bouquet for a presentation to Mary, three cake flowers, a bag of flower petals, a parents table arrangement, and delivery to two locations for under $600. Then the wedding day came, and the flowers were GORGEOUS. My bouquet was everything I wanted, and the flowers were incredibly crisp. Almost all of our flowers were white roses, and they weren't at all yellowed or drooping. The best part is that since she works out of her home, she only orders the flowers she needs for each job. She doesn't have leftover flowers she needs to use up, so everything is very fresh. I'll definitely consider Katie for all of my flower needs.

Beautiful flowers!!

I had a small budget, and I wasn't going to do real flowers. My mother offered to pay! So I decided to do all the bouquets and boutonnieres only. Katie gave me a real low price at fisrt and I was so happy. I changed a few details and the price went up substantially! But she along with my maid of honor took some time and we got the price down a little ;) I loved the flowers in the end, she really had the same vision as I did. My husband is from Brazil and the boutonniere ribbons were the color of the Brazilian flag (Katie did that for me).

Katie was absolutely wonderful - I had met with other florists before her but she was the only one who really worked to give me beautiful flowers while still staying in my budget. I had no idea what I wanted or anything about flowers and she helped me pick just what I needed. Everything was delivered on time - she even got some flowers done early for our pictures two days before the wedding! I would highly recommend her to anyone, especially if you're working on a tight budget.

Katie St. John was truly great to work with throughout the entire planning process and on the wedding day. The first thing that drew us to her were her ridiculously competitive prices. She was able to price out our flowers during our initial meeting with her (we didn't have to wait to hear back from her) and we were so thrilled with the reasonable pricing. There is truly no need to pay out the wazoo for flowers! Secondly, we had a pretty significant change to our alter flower arrangement a couple of months before the wedding - instead of one large arrangement we needed Katie to turn it into two smaller arrangements. She was very understand of the situation and agreed to change her plans for the arrangement with no additional cost to us or an alterations fee. Lastly, I was so happy with my bouquet, which is the only flowers that REALLY matter on your wedding day. They were fresh and bright and beautiful white roses and the perfect size. I would highly recommend Katie - I already did actually, as my brother & his fiance are using her!

Kate did a remarkable job setting up my center pieces and stage flowers as well as putting together my bouquet. Her website truly does her no justice. Ask to take a look at her books of photos to get a better idea.

The red roses in my bouquet was perfect! So bright and vibrant.

Over all the flowers and rentals were beautiful, however, our florist was late to drop off my bouquets (20 min) and to the venue (1 hour and 15 min). The location of the bouquet drop off was 5 min down the road from my venue so where she went for the additional hour I have no idea. She ended up arriving with my guest so my Wedding Coordinatior was scrambling to get the centerpieces set.

Kate was a great florist. She fit perfectly into our budget and was very helpful when we were trying to decide what we wanted. My flowers turned out beautifully, I am so happy with them. She was even willing to meet with us on short notice -- and in the middle of a snowstorm!

Our experience with Katie was wonderful. She was attentive and did an excellent job of helping me stay focused and timely while working within a 3 and a half month planning window. The bouquets were gorgeous!
