The Anchor Room at Wando River Grill, is a waterfront venue located at the Wando River Marina in North Mt. Pleasant. With its beautiful second floor marina setting, the Anchor Room offers spectacular views of the Wando River. The Anchor Room has 3,000 sq ft indoors with Cypress floor, plus two outdoor cocktail balconies. This special event space has fully adjustable lighting to fit any mood, with multiple video screens and audio-visual equipment. We are one of the only Charleston-area reception venues where the wedding party and guests can arrive or depart by boat. Our room rental rate includes cocktail tables, dining tables, and seating for banquets. We also offer a waterfront gazebo for outdoor ceremonies as well as a dressing suite for the wedding party to get ready!

The Anchor Room was a beautiful venue for my daughter’s wedding and reception last week. Stacy and her staff were wonderful. They were professional, friendly and courteous. The food was great and the value was exceptional. Thank you for making Jennifer and Matt’s special day even more special.

Our first impression was incredible! I appreciate that everyone listened to what we were looking for and are solution-oriented. We have not yet booked our venue, as we still have a few more to check out. I can not stress enough how amazing it was to speak to people that are passionate about what they do and want to deliver what I want! Never did I hear them say no. When I asked about something, they wanted to find a way to make that happen. I appreciate that Leisl, Andy, and Erik are so personable. Currently the front runner, and we'll update when we make our decision.

I recently toured the Anchor Room with Liesl Westbrook, and I was delighted with the beauty of the venue itself and the waterfront view. Liesl was very accommodating to my questions and concerns, and I was also able to look at the Catering menu during my meeting and plan a tasting. They have so many delicious looking options on their catering menu, it looks as if they have something for everyone. I can't wait to do the tasting at the Anchor Room with my fiancé and move forward with the wedding planning process! I believe the Anchor Room will be the perfect spot to host our fall wedding!

I had my wedding ceremony and reception here. The ceremony was outside with a spectacular view of the river behind us. The reception was up on the second floor above the restaurant. Everything was absolutely perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better location to have my special day. The staff was attentive and helped set up everything. They were quick with any questions we had. They catered our dinner and the food was great! Grilled chicken and beef with gravy. Beef was to die for. We had a lot of very last minute requests, but the staff stuck with us and did a great job getting everything we needed. If you have any kind of event I suggest getting with them and doing it here because everything was awesome! Everyone had a great time.

We love this venue! Liesl and Andy have been more than accommodating. The entire venue is great! From the wonderful ceremony spot to the beautiful reception area all to the tasty food! They have answered all of our questions (there have been a lot!) and given suggestions for things we haven’t thought of. We are excited about working with them for our wedding next November!

I am excited to have recently toured the Anchor Room with Liesl Westbrook! The venue is waterfront, and we were lucky enough to experience a beautiful sunset overlooking the water during our tour. Liesl was lovely and extremely informative about how we could make the indoor and outdoor spaces work for my daughter's future wedding. I look forward to working with the Anchor Room team in the future!

It's sad the the previous reviewer had that experience. Not sure who she spoke with....maybe it was a miscommunication. I would suggest she try reaching out again, because they are awesome people. 2nd chances are good...we all deserve it. I am having my wedding reception there. It should have happened on September 15, but because of hurricane Florence, it was canceled. The communication with the team is great....they never tire from talking with me. Had our food tasting and it was a first class experience. Not to mention, the food is amazing. Had our meeting with them at my event planner and it was wonderful. They all worked to put my vision into plan and even did a floor plan of our layout. My wedding will now be held December 8, and they were more than willing and very accommodating to help us with a new date. I cannot say enough about them, and this is an honest review. Can't wait for my big day and this lovely venue overlooking the water....beautiful view. I will come back with another review after December 8th. I am very critical of everything, and they have been awesome. I highly recommended this place. They are good people, the entire team!!

Reached out to get info on this venue and like any other bride- I had a list of questions to make sure it fit what we were looking for. The employee that responded to my questions was more than rude, condescending and extremely unfriendly. It was as if I was such a nuisance to her even though I was just asking simple questions. Such a turn off and shows up front how much of a nightmare it would be trying to work with this people for your special day... I do not recommend.
