EXTRAORDINARY CAKES!!! Outstandingly beautiful. Jackyln’s cake was everything I wanted and much more! It was aesthetically gorgeous and had the fall, modern, elegance beauty that c...
ompletely went above and beyond my expectations.
I would give way more than 5 stars!!! The level of customization and attention to detail is so impressive. She helped guide me to certain things I loved and what I envisioned in the style and design.
The design was perfection and catered to the design of our venue. She asked us pictures and designs of our sweetheart table, the floral arrangements at our table and all of our guests centerpieces to get a cohesive design of the cake to the entire ensemble. She also paid attention to our wedding invitation and color palette! Please mind that I did not want an all white wedding cake. I wanted some color to add a unique flair to our elegant fall wedding color palette. Please check out ALL of her beautiful white cake designs on her site if you are looking to do an all white cake. They are extremely gorgeous!!!!
The flavors and taste of the cake was DIVINE!!!!!
It has a high level of standard to the level of texture and smoothness of the buttercream. ALL the flavors we had were so unique! Dark Chocolate with Raspberry buttercream on the bottom tier, Oolong Tea Cake with Oolong Buttercream, and Earl Grey Tea Cake with Salted Caramel Buttercream!!
The flavors were customized to what I liked. Jacklyn walked us through flavor samples and really engaged us in the process. It was an amazing experience to build a customized cake together with my fiancé.. now husband!
I am 100% satisfied and extremely happy to share this review because this cake was epic. All my families and guests loved it.
Our wedding cake was a huge hit and exceeded our expectations. One of our main focuses for the wedding was to make sure the food and desserts were amazing. Jackie's cake was the be...
st way to finish off a great meal.
When we met with Jackie, she asked questions to get a feeling of what we liked and our style for flavor and design of the cake. The tasting was so fun mixing and matching flavors that I almost forgot We had to choose our flavors. Jackie was so accommodating and allowed us to have different flavors for each tier (4 tiers)! As for the design of the cake, we only gave general input of what we liked and let her run with the rest. Gradient colored cake with a rustic modern touch.
The cake looked and tasted amazing! The only thing I wish was that everyone could try each flavor. But, I guess that's just part of the fun of which flavor each guest gets. We also found out that Jackie does cookies (cookies by Jackie Chan) and were equally delicious.
Jackie was a pleasure to work with and went above and beyond for our wedding. We will definitely be contacting her again for our future events!
Wonderful cake! Our guests loved it and some people specifically came to tell me how much they enjoyed the cake! We did a cake tasting and we’re deciding between matcha or oolong o...
r earl grey initially and we ended up choosing matcha with fresh strawberries. It was delicious and the perfect amount of “not too sweet” haha. Jackie was great to work with! We had our florist save some flowers for Jackie to arrange. The cake was beautiful. Highly recommend!
Jackie is literally the best cake vendor you could ever work with! She is so sweet and really cares about catering to your personal tastes. We had a Hispanic/ Asian wedding so it w...
as really important to us that the cake not be too sweet so our guests would enjoy it. Not only did they enjoy it, they LOVED it! A lot of people commented that it was easily the best wedding cake they had ever had and even our pickiest guests had seconds! Especially black sesame, that is definitely the Asian crowd or the red velvet with a cream cheese filling. Cant ever thank Jackie enough for her tasty work, but we will be sure to order more cakes for all our events. :)
Best wedding cake ever!!!! We had an amazing time working with Jackie and our guests LOVED the cake. Highly recommend DARK CHOCOLATE + GREEN TEA. HONEY LAVENDER. Jackie is the ...
best!!!!
Jackie was one of our most important vendors for our entire wedding. As a couple we prioritized every aspect of the meal and Jackie absolutely smashed it with the dessert.
First,...
Jackie offers a wide-range of flavors that most other local SoCal vendors don't offer. For our cake we choose to come with an Oolong Tea cake with a Black Sesame buttercream, flavors we couldn't find anywhere else. The cake was an absolute hit and wowed every single guest in attendance.
Second, Jackie was incredibly thoughtful through the whole process. First she was very flexible with arranging a time for us to pick-up our tasting set of cakes and buttercreams. Second, she made sure to help us accurately plan out the amount of cakes and desserts we would need to keep our guests satisfied. Lastly, she arranged for desserts to be kept aside for us on the big day to make sure my wife and I would be able to taste each of the desserts we ordered (cheesecake, cookies, and brownie bites).
I've already recommended Jackie's services to friends and would do so again in a heartbeat. Thank you Jackie!
Best tasting wedding cake!
I sampled many bakeries in SOCAL when choosing my wedding cake, and Jackie’s were clearly the best! We went with a marble with chocolate ganache fillin...
g on one layer, then a vanilla cake with raspberry cream type of filling on the other- both turned out DELICIOUS. I was especially impressed that the marble cake was not dry, usually that’s the case when it comes to marble! The ganache was perfect for chocolate lovers. The raspberry vanilla one was my favorite though- incredibly moist and so yummy. Besides the beautiful and tasty 4 layer cake, Jackie was so sweet and friendly, easy to work with, and very accommodating throughout our various COVID postponements and last minute guest number changes! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! ❤️
Jackie is the best! She was so accommodating and sweet. She helped us make a custom black and white cake and the cake itself was so delicious! We got a lot of compliments on the ha...

finding our perfect cake vendor so easy. She really listens to you and does exactly what you want! She is super nice and accommodating to all your needs and explains everything through so you understand exactly what you need. Not only did the cake turn out exactly how we pictured it, but it also tasted extremely delicious. We had so many people tell us how good it was. We picked Lavender with Vanilla buttercream. It is something different than your traditional cake but that is exactly what we wanted. It was delicious and we are so happy we went with Jackie. I would recommend to anyone!
Jackie was a pleasure to work with, and baked an amazing cake that all of our wedding guests raved about! She was flexible, kind, professional, and knew exactly what we wanted. We ...
had an unorthodox cake topper idea, and she helped us figure out the best way to incorporate them without messing up the cake. And, having just passed our 1 year anniversary, I have to say that her cake is still delicious, even after being frozen for a year! We definitely recommend Jackie, and are thrilled that we got the chance to work with her.
If you are looking for an AMAZING and show-stopping wedding cake, Jackie is your girl. My husband and I were absolutely amazed and the quality of work she puts out. She listened to...
everything that we wanted and took into consideration our likes/dislikes and produced this beauty!
Her responses were always prompt which I appreciated and she worked with us when we had to downsize our wedding due to COVID. We couldn't be happier with the result.
I just need to talk about her variety of flavors for a bit. Something that I was looking for in our wedding cake was being able to incorporate Asian flavors, and if you know, you know... uncles and aunties will always say American desserts are "too sweet". Well, we didn't get any of those comments from my family, just how absolutely delicious the cakes were. Our cake layers were Matcha cake with vanilla buttercream, oolong tea cake with honey buttercream, and marble cake with hazelnut buttercream. I must say the Oolong cake was the standout. We were completely blown away from the flavors.
All in all, we will definitely be using Jackie again for future events. If you are looking for a unique and beautiful wedding cake from an honest hardworking person, this is your place to go.
Jackie did an amazing job creating the most dreamy cake and desserts for our wedding reception! The communication and professionalism was on point and with our wedding plans changi...
ng last minute she was able to accommodate what we wanted in a short time. We are so grateful for that! I had a vision of how I wanted our 6" cake decorated and she made it even better than we could have hoped for! Not to mention it was soooo delicious! The organic chocolate hazelnut buttercream is to die for, seriously do not hesitate to add it. Everything was set up so amazing and made our dessert display so beautiful!! Not to mention she added a last minute request to have a small birthday cake for my dads 60th and we brought it out and sang hbd to him at the end of dinner which was a huge surprise success! We highly recommend Sugar Salt & Crumbs for all your dessert needs! :)
After a couple of tasting sessions, we decided Jackie's dark chocolate cake was exactly what we wanted for our wedding cake! So delicious and the perfect texture- not dry or crumbl...
y at all, but also not gooey. She was very attentive to our preferences for both taste and design of the cake. We specifically asked for our cake to not be super sweet, and she got the balance just right. Our wedding venue also did not have any kind of refrigeration on-site available for a cake, and Jackie readily advised on what kind of frosting would still hold up well on a warm day. When we had to postpone and downsize our wedding due to COVID-19, Jackie was extremely accommodating and flexible and took a lot of stress out of this aspect of our re-planning. We needed to change the size of our cake and even the design with pretty short notice, and she did everything she could to get everything just right. Very grateful we found Sugar Salt & Crumbs!
I found Sugar Salt and Crumbs while searching online. Due to COVID, we had to cancel our dream wedding and rearrange our plans to have a civil ceremony in a few short weeks. I foun...
d Jackie’s site and immediately fell in love with her work. I reached out to her and she contacted me immediately. She was able to help us with a custom cake just for us. She even took the time to use flowers that matched my bouquet and floral crown. Jackie was super helpful and checked in on me several times and even reached out after my ceremony to make sure everything was great! She accommodated us every step of the way and truly went above and beyond to make our day special!
Jackie was simply amazing! She was very patient and gave great advice, especially since my fiancé and I had no idea what we wanted for the design of the wedding cake. Just by talk...
ing to us, she figured out what we wanted and the cake turned out to be exactly what we were looking for. The cake itself was delicious and really beautifully designed. Also, since we were on a tight budget for the wedding, I can assure you that her prices are the MOST reasonable out there. Jackie was definitely one of the best choices we made when selecting our vendors and we wouldn’t change a thing!
In the months leading up to our intimate February 2020 wedding we spent a good amount of time researching various bakers as we knew we wanted a cake that would be both undeniably d...
elicious and beautiful. We found Jackie on The Knot and were immediately drawn to her work. When we reached out to her, we were sold - she was so kind, responsive, and excited to work with us to create a cake that captured everything we were looking for. She also gave us the option to develop completely customized cake flavors. We were impressed that she took into account the flavors we liked and our design ideas/wedding themes. Jackie provided us with wonderful feedback and ideas, and remained in regular contact with us throughout the process to realize our ideal cake. We decided to have a two tier cake - the top was a vanilla cake with chocolate ganache and raspberry filling, and the base was an espresso/coffee flavored cake with chocolate ganache and toffee bits. We were blown away at our tasting - the cake was so moist and the flavor was absolutely amazing. We were even more blown away when we tasted it again and saw her beautiful design on the day of our wedding. Our whole wedding party was in love. One of our friends, who typically eats vegan, even broke from their traditional diet to eat a piece and said it was the best cake they ever had! We had leftover cake and nothing made us happier than enjoying the leftovers for the next few days. The cake remained moist for a surprisingly long time, and the flavor was so, so good. We have already decided that we will reach out to Jackie for all future events. Jackie is the best - we cannot recommend her highly enough!
“CENTERPIECE" - that's what comes to mind when we think about a word to describe the beautiful wedding cake that we received from Jackie of Sugar Salt & Crumbs!
After some pleasan...
t brainstorming calls with Jackie, who patiently took in the ambiguous and scattered ideas that we had floating in our heads, what we ultimately received on our wedding day, to put it simply... the cake of our dreams.
If the cake stood alone on aesthetics, that would have been enough. But countless guests couldn't stop remarking on its unforgettable green tea and honey decadence. If this was a dessert available at anyone one of the fancy dessert and bakery shops around Los Angeles, I'm sure lines would follow.
Thank you again to Sugar Salt & Crumbs, you've outdone yourself!
Love Jackie from Sugar, salt, and crumbs! Jackie is professional and a great baker. She made choosing our cake vendor really easy.
The tasting was simple and loves the variety of...
cakes Jackie had available.
We loved that Jackie was willing to work with us on what we wanted. She didn't try to upsell us on something we didn't want.
We loved our cake that had fresh raspberries!
Jackie went to our florist and picked up flowers to decorate our cake. She helped us choose designs and cake stand.
Jackie is responsive and an absolute pleasure to work with! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
I was referred by a friend and Jackie was great to work with!
After inquiring, we scheduled a phone call to discuss what my husband and I were looking for for our wedding cake. We...
had our first tasting but wanted to adjust some flavors, so Jackie was kind enough to offer us a complimentary second tasting!
The cake was flavorful, moist, and so yummy! We ordered a two tier cake, one was pistachio with honey lavender buttercream and the other was earl grey with earl grey buttercream. She also does paper flowers, which were a great keepsake.
Most amazing cake and cupcakes!!!
I found Sugar Salt & Crumbs scouring through Yelp and I'm so happy I did! Talking with and meeting Jackie was great, and she really delivered on the tasting. (Her chocolate chip co...
okies would blow you away). Her cakes are so pretty, but they're even more delicious! My husband and I ordered some brownies and two-tier cake, with the top being matcha and the bottom layer was lemon. Truth be told, my sweet husband only let me get the matcha because I love that flavor even though he doesn't, but when we took a bite of our wedding cake he was totally blown away. My friends on the other hand were telling me how the lemon layer was the best they've ever had! Now we're trying to find excuses to order more from Jackie... so maybe we'll just order a whole other cake for our anniversary instead! She's easy to work with, her work is artistic, and best of all everything tastes amazing!
Jackie was amazing! She responded quickly to our inquiry and immediately set up an appointment to have us go through a cake tasting. The cakes she had us taste were amazing and the...
cake turned out incredible. We couldn't have imagined how big and great tasting it would have come out. Thanks again Jackie!!!
