And Now For The Vows

I found Tyler here on the Knot. His was one of the last profiles I looked at, after sifting through hundreds more. Something told me he was the officiant for us. I am SO glad I trusted my gut, as he gave us an incredibly beautiful, personal, and meaningful ceremony. There were a couple of things about Tyler's approach that I REALLY appreciated. One, he told us up-front that he preferred we not hear his final words until our wedding day, during the actual ceremony. This ensured we would be as attentive and appreciative of his words as each of our guests were. Two, he told us he'd be contacting our closest friends & relatives, asking them to describe their relationships with us individually and as a couple. Both of these tactics are brilliant. Our ceremony was a beautiful surprise to us both. He captured the essence of "us" so perfectly, and wove our words, our friends and family's words, and his own together so seamlessly. I can't even describe how powerful it was to hear our friend's and family's touching testimonies, immediately before my husband and I poured our hearts out to each other with our own vows. Tyler also managed to sprinkle some good (non-cheesy) humor in there in just the right spots...he got some genuine laughs and made us feel really comfortable right off the bat. Nearly every guest I spoke with commented on how beautiful they ceremony was. Even my father, who would have loved to see us married in a Catholic church, said he gave every bit as thoughtful and touching a ceremony as a priest would have. The entire ceremony was really quite above and beyond our highest expectations. The love and happiness it conveyed was palpable, to us and everyone witnessing. I cannot recommend Tyler highly enough. He is such a pleasure to work with...by the end you'll feel you have a dear new friend.
