After speaking with her about her style and goals as a photographer, we knew there was no other option for our wedding photographer - her attention to detail, intention with what she captures, and personality was just such a great fit. We first got together for our engagement photos and from the first impression we knew we had made the right choice, 100%. Andrea led us through a gorgeous few hours around sunset, where spent time exploring and galavanting outside, and she was able to connect with us and make my husband (!) and I feel so comfortable to be photographed. We didn’t think there could be any way to top this, but boy were we wrong. Come our wedding weekend Andrea Marie was our photographer yes - but she was also our friend, our organizer, our crew wrangler, our timekeeper, our dance buddy, fellow-nerd, and just so so much more. I could fill a book with how incredibly talented she is, how she is the most warm and kind and energetic human, how supportive and encouraging she was throughout the whole wedding process and day, and how she becomes an instant friend the second you meet her, but here's just a little sneak peek. We met her through a mutual friend and after seeing (gawking at) her work, immediately knew she was the right person to capture our big day. We did an engagement shoot with her and she helped us pick an amazing location that perfectly fit our personalities and relationship. Although my now-husband and I felt like we were the most awkward people in front of a camera, Andrea made sure we felt comfortable and had fun the entire time. Come wedding day, I was pretty anxious and stressed about everything going on. Andrea calmed my nerves, assured me that everything would be perfect, asked me to trust her experience, and reminded me why I was there -- to marry my best friend. Everything else was just a cherry on top. And she was right. Once we let go of the notion of perfection, we were able to experience the best day of our lives and we owe so much of that to Andrea. Andrea's God-given talents of photography, acting as a calming force, and being an instant friend translated into us having the most epic, memorable, fun-filled day ever. It still blows me away that she was able to single-handedly manage our very packed schedule and photo timeline, quickly pivot and be flexible in situations when needed, help calm our nerves and anxieties, and remind us to enjoy and soak in every second of our special day. On wedding day, I swear she had clones of herself because she was everywhere -- jumping between multiple areas to capture all the getting-ready shots, taking beautiful flat lay and detail shots, capturing the candid and in-between moments that so often get overlooked or forgotten, snapping our first looks, corralling the bridal party and family for group shots, being an absolute ninja during the ceremony, and running around on the dancefloor during the reception. It was our favorite day, and Andrea was such an integral part of helping our vision come to life. As if she hadn't already blown us away enough, she sent us more than 150 SNEAK PEAKS, THREE DAYS AFTER THE WEDDING. WHAT. It's clear she loves and takes pride in her work. We got our full album a few months later and we truly don't have the right words to convey how astounding our wedding day photos are. How many emotions they stir. How we can't help but smile and laugh and cry a little while looking at them. How we can confidently say that we feel and look like our true selves in every. single. photo, because Andrea has such an eye for authenticity and showcasing the rawness of every moment. All of our photos bring such a sense of overwhelming joy and peace and true happiness we can hardly describe. s and I knew she was who I wanted to capture our wedding. Our engagement photos were exactly what I imagined and more, even in 98 degree weather! I had no idea we could look so cool! Andrea was above and beyond on our wedding day, acting as basically a second coordinator and the BEST hype woman. The morning-of, Andrea prayed over my MIL in the bridal suite after she fell and had a major nose bleed and helped us make sure she was okay. We've only gotten sneak peek photos from the wedding day back so far (but the "peek" is basically an entire album all on its own)! We are obsessed!! She was extremely warm and supportive in our initial calls to discuss working together, and she honestly made the entire process a breeze. For our engagement photo shoot, she offered us fun outfit ideas and personalized recommendations. She was super flexible and understanding in selecting the perfect location that worked well for us. Andrea arrived excited and with a plan to capture beautiful photos for us. She instantly felt like a friend and managed to have my now husband saying "This is so fun!!" even though he was pretty anxious about getting pictures taken on our ride to the location. She went above and beyond, traipsing through waterfalls in the middle of winter just to get the perfect shot for us! All in all it was an INCREDIBLE experience! On our wedding day, Andrea overdelivered. She was much more than a photographer. Her experience with weddings really showed. She helped us stay on schedule, coordinate with our guests for photos, and was a calming presence on a day with lots of emotions. She made sure to understand my specific requests for wedding pictures ahead of time and delivered the most beautiful photos of our special day. All of our guests absolutely loved her and were excited to be a part of our wedding day photo collection. When planning my wedding I said that having amazing photos was the thing I cared about most, and Andrea made that dream come true! With me being on the other side of the United States, communication was so important to make sure that we were all on the same page. Andrea was direct, kind, understanding of unforeseen changes, she responded promptly, and was extremely easy to work with. The first time we met Andrea was for our pre-wedding photos (two days before the wedding). She scoped out spots, even without knowing the area. She found us an epic location to shoot, made us feel so comfortable, and even gave us a sneak peak of the photos quickly so that we could see something before the wedding day. We are no models by any means but Andrea made the whole thing SO easy. Come the wedding day, she was everything and more that we wanted. She had wonderful ideas, a go with the flow attitude (while still helping the wedding run on schedule), she worked well with all our venders, family, and friends. People came up to me all day saying how wonderful she was. She captured candid moments as they were happening between guests. She coordinated wonderful moments between everyone that made the day so special. She gave us space to enjoy our day while still being involved enough to capture our day. That is a very intricate balance that she has mastered. She went above and beyond the whole time she was with us. She left not just being our photographer, but a friend. Despite us being states apart I wholeheartedly plan on her coming back for shoots in our future. She was bubbling with energy which helped us open up. She gave the perfect amount of direction while also encouraging us to do what felt natural. Our wedding was postponed due to covid and Andrea was amazing and did some pictures for us on our actual wedding day as well as for our postponed wedding reception. She was so kind and flexible which I truly appreciated. On our actual wedding day she was not allowed to be in the church for our ceremony, however she found a peach orchard for us to take pictures in afterwards. She called around to multiple parks and orchards until she found one that was willing to let us take pictures in. The pictures from our wedding day were beautiful and it truly made the day feel special even though we were only allowed to have 10 people attend. Finally, she took our pictures for our wedding reception. She did an amazing job of organizing our timeline and keeping everyone on task for family photos. We did sunset photos which I can honestly say was one of the highlights of the day. The lighting was insane and Andrea knew exactly where to go and how to pose us so we got some amazing shots. To top things off, we ran through a field, laid in a meadow of flowers, and chased some geese. It was a blast and our photos turned out better than I could have hoped for. If you are looking for a wedding photographer then you will not regret hiring Andrea. She is an amazing photographer but also an amazing person.
