This was such a neat experience! Nic has a huge variety of dresses from every era and price range. She was excellent and made sure not to show me dresses that weren't my size or budget. She also has a stellar eye for potential alterations and personalization opportunities!
Nikolina was amazing! She helped me find the perfect dress. I'm a size 12/14, and I never felt like I had limited options because of my size. I worked with Emily, the seamstress Nikolina recommended, and everything went very well. I'm so happy!
I visited a few places before going to Andrea's and, while the dresses I tried on were beautiful, I was still unsure if I had found "the dress". Andrea's has a huge selection of vintage gowns dating from the early 20th century to more modern selections from the 80s and 90s, all of them stunning and utterly unique. They were extremely helpful in making sure that once I had found a dress it was tailored perfectly to match my vision.
When I went to Andrea's, I actually already had a dress! But I found THE PERFECT dress for me! It was a dress from the 70's that was a remake of a 20's dress and it was amazing! You could never find a dress like this in a modern dress store with so much character and history. It was interesting and non-conventional, yet classy and timeless. Highly recommend. Nik is great at judging what will look good on you too!
Going to Andrea's was my first wedding dress shopping experience. I walked in and had a dress picked out and purchased 45min later. Nik picked out amazing dresses that were in budget and was able to really describe and make me understand the potential that each dress had. They are not your typical wedding dresses, but if you are looking for something a little different but still classic, they are wonderful
My experience with Andrea's Vintage Bridal was top-notch. From the moment I walked in, they were dedicated to finding me my dream dress. The dress I found had the lace I wanted, but not the skirt length or sleeves. I worked with Emily, who used lace from the skirt to create sleeves and made a dress that was uniquely my own and exactly what I wanted for my big day. I could not be happier with my dress! The price was very reasonable too; with the price of the dress itself plus the alterations, it came in at just a little under what I wanted to spend on the dress. A nice bonus to a dress I already adore so much! I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a vintage or unique bridal gown - you won't be disappointed!
I should've thought in my head that I was buying from a vintage shop, and to be more careful, but I was in love with the dress that I bought. Since vintage shops have lower lighting, I did not notice the stain that was on the thigh of the dress that was very obvious when I was in sunlight. There wasn't a way to cover it up, so I wasn't able to use the dress, and all sales are final.
Andrea's Vintage Bridal was my one-stop-shop for both my dress and my headpiece. I made an appointment to come in and look at dresses; once arriving, Emily the seamstress met me and told me I had two hours in the shop to try on any and every thing I wanted! Emily was great to work with, and as the idea of what I wanted my wedding dress to look like evolved throughout the morning, she helped guide me to find the perfect dress! As soon as I put it on and saw all the sparklies, I knew that was the one!
The wonderful thing about Andrea's Vintage is that they can custom tailor just about every frock in their store so that you get exactly what you want: changing neck or back lines, making them shorter, etc. My dress originally had lace sleeves, but as we were planning for a warm late summer day, I did not want my arms covered in heavy beading and lace (plus I didn't quite fit into that part of the dress). :) Emily removed the sleeves, incorporated the beading into the other parts of my dress, and then made my headpiece from what was left! We were going for a 1920's Art Deco sort of theme, and my dress was the perfect centerpiece.
Andrea's Vintage is a little pricey - the dress I ended up choosing had to be the most expensive one I had tried on all day - but I wanted a local vendor and was willing to pay to NOT go to David's Bridal. All in all, the dress, alterations and headpiece came to around $1500, but honestly, the quality of service and attention I received was worth it.
Awesome experience!
