Hiring Andrejka Photography was the best decision I made for the wedding; I might need to plan another party just to have her take more pictures!

They managed to take great portraits and candid pictures of our families, including many toddlers and many dogs! They were great with the kids and somehow even managed to take amazing shots during kid meltdowns! Of the THOUSANDS of pictures we received, somehow there was not a bad one in the bunch. They all turned out so beautiful, and Andrejka and McKenna made it look effortless. We have gotten so many compliments on all of the pictures, and it's been so hard to pick our favorites. A wedding on Mackinac Island, wether large or small, includes several unique working parts, along with a community of amazing people. Getting to any location on your day, for example, requires a horse and carriage! Andrejka has been a part of this community for over 15 years and knows everyone that is a part of making your day run flawlessly. Even better, she has the perfect locations for every portrait. My favorite saying of hers that brought me great comfort was "I become your brain so you can enjoy the day". I planned in detail the perfect intimate wedding. Being the bride, I needed a community of people to pull it off. I even had a surprise dress change. With all little details thought about and talked about before hand, she went above and beyond meeting my expectations. Every guest and family member commented on the amazing job she was doing. She gave not only my husband and I confidence in the day but also everyone who attended. She made us feel like movie stars. To say I ugly cried when I got my gallery from her is an understatement! We will forever have the joy and love of the most important day in our lives captured because of her. She also was able to capture the magic of Mackinac Island. Thank you Andrejka for your talent. perfectly. The day of the wedding, I went to get my hair done, and my hairdresser that I'd done a trial with had gotten the flu. They had to modify my original hair because the new hairdresser wasn't sure how to get the look we had decided on before. By the time I got back up to the Inn at Stonecliffe, I was so stressed out. Thankfully, Andrejka was there when I got back and immediately started to take action getting all the pre-wedding photos, helping with the boutonnieres, and just generally helping anybody with anything that needed to get done before the ceremony, so I didn't have to stress about it. She was basically invisible during the wedding, and she was super helpful in keeping us on schedule so that we could get all the pictures we wanted. We rode a tandem bike from the Stonecliffe to Downtown Mackinac Island, and Andrejka rode her bike ahead of us having us stop at several very nice places to take pictures. She was super helpful in navigating the Island since we wanted a nice variety of locations. I couldn't be happier with the results. I got so many great pictures. Get your photos done by Andrejka. She makes everything go so much more smoothly, and her photography is amazing.

In addition to being our photographer, she was our carriage ride director, my dress floofer, veil straightener, tour guide, and a whole mess of other things that all somehow just blended together to make everything go far more smoothly than I had any right to have. She was an incredible light and presence on what can be a very stressful day (not for us - between Andrejka and Marty at Grand Hotel, we didn't have a care in the world!), and I cannot thank her enough for sharing her tips and expertise with us. Andrejka has an aura that just projects joy, and it's truly something that needs to be experienced. Obviously, in addition to being a wonderful human, Andrejka is also an unparalled photographer. I don't want to say much here because her photos speak for themselves (as they should - they're why you're hiring her!), but her style is absolutely stunning. We told her what we loved about Mackinac Island, and she captured all of those things for us, in addition to the ridiculous list of formal pictures we requested. When I first started looking for a photographer, I noticed that a lot of their styles make the photos immediately look dated and forced. That's absolutely not a concern with Andrejka; she's unspeakably talented at both candid and posed photos. If you're looking for an award-winning photographer who you actually want to spend the day with, Andrejka's your girl. I cannot wait to find excuses to go back and work with her again, and again, and again.

ad excellent ideas of places where we could take pictures outside while staying dry. Andrejka and Mary B. were so pleasant and very flexible with where we wanted to take pictures. Also, they were very creative with suggesting certain locations for pictures, for example: a coffee shop. It’s somewhere I would never have thought of, but it had a beautiful vintage looking love seat with a nice painting hanging above, and that combined with the elegant way she posed us lead to some of my favorite pictures. Andrejka has such an intimate knowledge of the island and a creative eye for photography. She knows all of the best spots on the island and can ride a bike next to your carriage to take pictures. It doesn’t get much better than that. They say the biggest thing bride’s regret is not getting a photographer/a good photographer- With Andrejka photography you will never have to worry about that! She will capture every moment of your special day so you will have pictures and memories that last a lifetime.

Fast Forward to the Wedding Day, and Andrejka arrived, fit right in with everyone, and did her thing, we barely knew she was there, and I'm the type of person that freezes up when my photo being taken on a normal day, but Andrejka moves stealthily and the end result is amazing-we had so much fun with her. Wedding Day: Andrejka met us at our hotel on a pretty crappy Chicago day, cold, windy and rainy, not the most ideal wedding weather especially for bridal party photos. Wow did she turn it up. She scouted around the hotel and found the prettiest spots for us to get some photos, she really did her best to make the best out of the weather we were dealing with. Her photographic perspective is amazing, she does it all, candid’s, posed(as required by our parents). She can handle a crowd like no one else, she got our family photos done in record time and they were fabulous. I think I'll call Andrejka the "Wedding whisperer"! . Personality-wise, she brought out the best in our wedding party and wedding guests. I’ll end with this, when we got engaged, I spent lots of time on wedding websites, lingering over the fabulous wedding photos people had, and hoping my wedding could be captured as beautifully. Well Andrejka captured it beautifully and beyond words and I can’t say enough great things about her work, her personality, her ability to bring out the best in everyone and the fun in all those around her. My heart is full when I look at our wedding photographs and I think of Andrejka and the wonderful way she captured who we are as a couple and our day. I hear some photographers are pushy, but she made us feel relax and the experience fun even though both my husband and I feel awkward having our pictures taken. Also her photos are very imaginative, so you feel like you not looking at the same image over and over again. The quality of the photos are also excellent. The biggest compliant I hear from other brides is that their photos didn't turn out how they hoped especially since photography tends to be very expensive. We didn't feel that way at all.
