Working with Andrew Roby and Andrew Roby Events to plan our wedding was nothing short of extraordinary. From the very first conversation, it was clear that Andrew wasn’t just a pla...
nner, he’s a visionary, a storyteller, and a deeply thoughtful collaborator. He took the time to understand who Donald and I are as individuals and as a couple, and he transformed that understanding into an experience that exceeded anything we could have dreamed.
What stood out most was Andrew’s intentionality. Every detail, no matter how small, had meaning. Every decision was made with purpose. He anticipated needs we didn’t even know we had and guided us with a perfect balance of expertise, creativity, and calm reassurance. His communication was seamless: clear, consistent, and always grounded in care. We never once felt lost or overwhelmed because Andrew held every piece with such confidence and clarity.
And then came the execution. Our wedding was breathtaking. Truly breathtaking.
From the moment we walked into the venue, we were stunned. The floral arrangements were lush and elegant, the candles created the most romantic glow, and the décor felt like stepping into a world crafted entirely for us. Every transition, every room, every element was orchestrated with precision and artistry. Friends and family are still talking about how beautiful and seamless everything felt; and that is 100% because of Andrew.
He didn’t just plan our wedding. He brought our love story to life. He honored our vision and elevated it. He created a space where we felt celebrated, seen, and completely held. What Andrew delivered wasn’t simply an event — it was an experience, a memory we will carry for the rest of our lives.
If you want a planner who is thoughtful, communicative, imaginative, meticulous, and genuinely invested in your joy, there is no one like Andrew Roby. We are endlessly grateful for him and for the magic he created on our wedding day.
Not quite a year ago (August 2023), Niema and I began our wedding planning journey with Andrew and his team as well as his network of vendors. From the moment we started working w...
ith Andrew we knew we pick the right wedding/event planner!
From the start, there were two major themes Niema and I wanted:
1) The "WOW" factor
2) That our wedding and reception is not seen as only our marital union but rather as a union and reunion for our families and friends
On the "WOW" theme, Andrew and his team more than delivered. They transformed the rooftop and seventh floor of the International Spy Museum into a wedding wonderland. Here are a few quotes from some of the 200 plus guests:
"... I now have a new standard for what a wedding can be - just perfect" [Note: the sediment of this quote was echoed dozens of times.]
"The wedding was beautiful, the food wonderful and the band! The band was outstanding! However, the best part was when I asked the bride did she like it, "It was like a fairytale! I'm so happy!". That's a win in my book."
""Music is the divine way to tell beautiful, poetic things to the heart. ~ Casals" The performances of D. Wolff, pianist, N. Korsakova, violinist and R. Sill soloist serenely carried the emotions of the night. Captivating lovers and rejoicers alike."
The "WOW" environment that Andrew's team and the vendors created for the rehearsal, the rehearsal dinner, the ceremony, reception and after reception lovingly fostered hundreds of "union" and "reunion" connections.
With everlasting love and appreciation to Andrew and his Team ~ Niema & Bill Craig
Over a month has passed since our wedding- yet Kevin and I are still stumbling, trying to find the words to express our gratitude to Andrew and his team for giving us the best day ...
of our lives.
Before Andrew, we were wracked with anxiety. There was so much that we didn't know, and yet there was so much that had to be done. Immediately. And while we knew that we needed help, we did not know where to turn.
So as one does, we picked up our phones and looked towards Google.
Andrew Roby Events ("ARE") was at the top of the list for event planning services. After scrolling through ARE's website, reading articles about Andrew's background, watching his inspiring videos and - most importantly, looking at photographs of his work, I just knew that he wouldn't be available or would be out of our price range. After all, it was clear that he was a giant in the industry. There was just no way! But I crossed my fingers and sent an inquiry anyway. I was gobsmacked to receive a positive response and to hear of his willingness to scheduled an exploratory Zoom call with us to discuss our needs and wants.
Things changed after our first meeting with Andrew. My fiancé and I had been lost in a thicket, but Andrew took our hands and led us to our destination. Not only were we granted complete access to a wedding database (that helped us track deadlines, our budget, and guest list), but to Andrew himself. He coached us and helped us to formulate our vision for the wedding. We told him our dream, and he not only designed, orchestrated and executed every detail - he exceeded every element our fantasy.
Kevin and I will forever be grateful to Andrew. What he did for us, our family, and our friends can never be repaid. He is, by far, the best.
Andrew Roby truly outdid himself for our wedding. We came into this experience not knowing what to expect; Andrew provided his guidance and expertise throughout the whole process. ...

ing. Andrew was prompt and professional - he helped us select and connect to talented vendors that swiftly and tastefully brought a previously non-existent vision to life. From invitations to reception, everything was taken care of! Wedding planning is notoriously stressful, but Andrew's expertise kept the process moving smoothly. Our day was genuinely relaxed and joyful! Andrew was hands on the day of the wedding, coordinating vendors, decor details and event timing with patience and skill - even helping me manage my bouquet and train of my dress. We loved our wedding - we've already re-watched our wedding video and shared it with friends and family in over a dozen countries. We are so grateful to Andrew Roby Events for everything he did to help us have such a wonderful day!

as emotionally exhausted. A Google search for “elopement in DC” brought me to his Micro Wedding page. He thought of everything! All I had to do was make a few basic choices and he took care of the rest. Andrew and his team of vendors are amazing: professional, responsive, compassionate, and so, so patient.

iful. We had so much fun within that hour it felt as if we had a larger wedding- it didn’t feel like a micro wedding. Our virtual and in-person guest are still complementing how everything was beautiful, classy, and very well put together for our ceremony. Thank you for creating an amazing vendor team and for a wonderful job and experience Sunday. All
of vendors provided excellent service and were very responsive and knowledgeable to any questions I had. They were professional, kind, and patient with us throughout the entire process. On the day of our ceremony it was a great joy working with Trene’ and her creative photography skills to capture our special moments including Chip’s exceptional videography services that allowed us to stream our ceremony. KUDOS to you and your amazing team with Andrew Roby Events for providing great service on our special day. I will personally thank each vendor for an amazing job and experience.

t leave any details unturned and he couldn’t have chosen better vendors to work with. It was perfect. We had all the feels of a large wedding in a more intimate setting and I wish I would have thought of it sooner. If you want an event done right big or small Andrew is the man.

Unflappable. That's the word I would use to describe Andrew - he was as cool as a cucumber under all of the pressure and the stress of the big day and being an out-of-town bride, A...
ndrew worked hand-in-hand with me for months to make sure every detail was perfect. Andrew and his staff are as attentive as they are courteous and offset any possible problems with solutions. Things WILL go wrong your wedding day, and you want someone like Andrew and his team there to make sure those little bumps are things you laugh about later. This review is long overdue but incredibly well-deserved. You have enough to worry about on your big day as it is -- let a pro like Andrew steer the ship and make sure it's an unforgettable day. Thank you Andrew!
So where to begin?! We had the pleasure of working directly with Andrew from the beginning to the end. We initially started interviewing wedding planners about two weeks after our ...
engagement period. While interviewing, we noticed that most of the companies were offering the same packages, so we decided to ask, "What makes your company stand out than the rest?". Most companies were unable to answer this question, but, Andrew was able to respond. While we are unable to state his answer verbatim, he did state he was fun and interested in building meaningful relationships with his clients. That he sure did!
We have grown to appreciate Andrew, the business of event planning, and has labeled him as our family event and decor planner for all of our needs. The planning process for the wedding was a breeze because we were able to trust Andrew fully and was able to build a relationship with him.
The day of the wedding, Andrew was always near or had someone near us while he put out other fires. Andrew assisted us from the wedding planning, day-of coordination, decor, and so much more. We were blown away and left with a sense of knowing each and every penny spent was well worth it. The reception decor was so glamorous and exceeded all of our expectations.
We appreciate Andrew and the team and wish nothing more but, for God to continue to bless him and his team with an abundance of favor, divine creativity, and prosperity over every area of his life and the business.
Thank you, Andrew,
Morgan and Quacey

sh, Andrew was organized, flexible and truly easy to work with. He helped us bring our space to life and we’re so very grateful for his partnership.
I have never hired and event planner for previous parties. With this being a milestone birthday for my mother, I wanted to make it extra special. Andrew made the entire process so ...
easy! He has the connections in the DC area to recommend the best caterers, entertainers, and bakeries to make sure that your guests will have a great time. He uses technology to make communication, contracts, payment, and planning very easy. On the day of the party, he did not interrupt our visiting with guests with any issues. He only checked in to make sure we were having a good time! We will definitely be asking him to help us with any future events, and we have been recommending his services to anyone that asks. Thank you, Andrew for all of your work and for making a memorable evening for our family and friends!

nd getting contracts in place. He listened to what I wanted in terms of decor and made great suggestions and created a stunning setting for the ceremony and a gorgeous reception. He was available to handle even the smallest detail. Most importantly, on the day of, I was able to relax while he coordinated with the venue, the various vendors, and my wedding party to make sure that things ran smoothly (and that I never found out if things were NOT running smoothly) and according to schedule.
