About this vendor
Awarded Top 10 New England Wedding Photographer & Top 100 In The World.
YOUR GOAL for your wedding is to throw an amazing party, in an amazing location, with your closest friends and family. You don't want all those obviously posed pictures. You want someone who can capture who YOU are...but also make you look like a badass. Think champagne spray, epic landscape, etc.
HOW MUCH TIME DO I NEED?
You get me all damn day. I want you to be fully present at YOUR WEDDING. I want you to live in those moments, savor every ounce of the day. The last thing you should have to think about is how much longer the photographer is there for..
DISAPPOINTED IN SPENDING A TON & ONLY RECEIVING AN ONLINE GALLERY?
All my couples receive an heirloom album, documenting the the entire wedding day. This is not your parents wedding album, these things are BIG, BEAUTIFUL & FULL of the emotions of your day. Seriously, be careful swinging this thing around, you could knock someone out with it.
WANT YOUR FRIENDS & FAMILY TO BE ABLE TO RELAX ON YOUR WEDDING DAY?
A quote from a past client: "Andy has a quality that made us feel at ease -- present and positive, yet unobtrusive." I've seen the dog eat the cake, the wind knock everything over, rings almost fall off the back of the boat.....there is literally nothing that can rattle me at a wedding. Long story short, I can bring a sense of calm to any situation that may arise.
NERVOUS ABOUT POSING AND BEING CANDID IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA?
Another quote for you: "We didn't want to spend a lot of time lining up, posing, and missing out on having a good time with our guests. Andy captured ALL of the emotion (and there was a lot), fun, and love without seeming like he was even there at all."
This is YOUR WEDDING DAY, not my photoshoot. We will absolutely capture stunning portraits of you two, but they will be full of fun and love between the two of you.
WANT TO KNOW HOW THIS ALL WORKS FOR YOUR WEDDING?
You deserve someone who is going to care about your experience as much as you do and actually deliver on it when it matters most.
Let's capture all those belly laughs, the happy tears and in-between moments. When that groomsmen rips his pants wide open on the dancefloor, you better believe it'll be caught on camera.

Let me just say we forgot everything about our wedding, all that remains is Andy!
We met with multiple wedding photographers before choosing Andy. What stood out about him, beyon...
d his raw talent, was that he really connects with the couples he works with. Other photographers were booking several weddings per weekend. Andy doesn't do that, even in the post-Covid wedding frenzy. He only does one wedding per weekend, and that's YOUR wedding. We were planning on having an event the night before, but it got rained out; still, Andy came down early to make himself available. His work is exceptional and speaks for itself, but what you can't appreciate until you work with him is his character, professionalism, and reliability.
His artistic shots, unexpected angles, use of dramatic lighting, and superb editing skills will stun you as you review the photos with friends and family. In reality, you might remember very little from your wedding. All those months of planning go by quickly on the actual day. The photos are what will last. We can't wait to host our next wedding with him. ;)
Andy did an amazing job with our wedding photos. He really made us feel as ease and captured the spirit of our wedding. I felt like he really got to know us as a couple and there...
fore was able to capture photos that really feel like us. Our wedding album has the perfect mix of posed portraits, wedding party and family photos, and fun candids from the ceremony and reception.
My husband and I got married in September 2020 and while the wedding planning was made more stressful negotiating Covid, Andy was such a pleasure to work with throughout the entire...
process. Even before we officially hired him he was thoughtful and answered all questions related to photography and even general wedding planning. Both he and Ryan (his second photographer) were friendly and respectful during our wedding day and navigated the added restrictions from Covid like the pros they are. On top of all this our wedding photos came out amazing and we have gotten non-stop compliments from guests and those who couldn't attend on how stunning they came out. I cannot recommend Andy enough!
We got married in October 2018 and had a great experience with Andy (and Ryan). Andy took the time to talk with us before the wedding to get an idea of what we wanted. Him and Ry...
an were prompt, friendly and professional the entire day. I could tell that the photos were going to turn out great, but I was completely blown away when we received over 500 (!!) gorgeous pictures from our day. It has been extremely hard to choose which ones to print, which in my opinion, is a great problem to have! You can tell that he genuinely loves what he does and we would not hesitate to hire him again in the future.
Andy is an extremely friendly, professional, easy going photographer who is very quick on his feet. My husband and I got married in August in Vermont on a day filled with all kinds...
of weather adventures. Our guests were so impressed with his ability to seemingly catch all the big moments without feeling intrusive. He is very creative and offered great suggestions for our couple photos that truly highlighted the beauty of our venue. He is also a really nice guy! We loved our final results and which allowed us to relive our day all over again. We would recommend Andy Madea Photography to anyone!
Andy was a really great and professional photographer. He was prompt on the day of our wedding, and he and his partner, Ryan, were genuinely excited about shooting our day. Despi...
te the crazy weather we experienced on our day, they were able to capture some really captivating pictures of the mountain backdrop, bright greenery, and the unique skyline that was a result of the clearing, inclement weather in Stowe that day. It did take a couple of months to get our photos back, but that seems to be the norm in the industry! We were pleased with Andy's enthusiasm the entire day and night that he and Ryan were on site shooting. They were both very attentive and listened to exactly which shots we wanted to take and when. Overall, an A-Plus experience!

Andy (and Ryan) were amazing. Andy is an artist, he takes amazing pictures that not just capture moments, but tell stories. He combines a great ability to capture emotion in candid...
s, with great organization for portraits. He is professional, clear, and on time. When he takes photos you not only get great photos of the people in them but also stunning views of the landscape around you. I received almost 500 photos of my wedding and I would print and frame every. single. one.
We couldn't have asked for a photographer more suitable for our wedding. Andy had the perfect balance of professionalism and creativity and carried himself in such a positive, easy...
going manner. He was very accommodating in planning engagement photos and working around our schedule the day of the wedding. He also gave some great suggestions for where to shoot some first-look and family photos after he made an effort to scope out the grounds in advance of the wedding day. We appreciated his thoughtful approach to his work, and our pictures came out beautiful! Thanks again Andy!
Andy - by far has captured beautifully the most special parts of our day. From start to finish he was there to answer any and all questions we had. He was a joy to work with on all...
aspects of our wedding. He calmed my nerves with the stress of planning a wedding and turned our day into memories that will last a lifetime. He jumped at the idea to include my husband’s grandfathers 1953 Studebaker in our wedding party shots and they are amazing. Andy is a joy to work with!
Andy was our photographer for a June wedding at the Old Lantern Inn in Vermont. We were from out of town, so weren't able to meet with anyone beforehand. He was so accessible and e...
asy to talk to from day one. We are a very relaxed couple and wanted a photographer who was also relaxed, but reliable and able to give us a little bit of direction. Andy was definitely all of those things. He was very creative in his shots and scoped out our venue and other places in the area in the days prior to see where he could get the best pictures. We ended up taking pictures on an old ferry in Lake Champlain with the Adirondacks in the background. I could not ask for more beautiful photos and a more professional, laid back but organized photographer. Highly recommend!
Andy was an amazing photographer to work with for our wedding day. He met with us a few weeks prior just to meet us in person and to figure out the style we wanted for our wedding ...
photos. Andy is extremely personable and was able to make the wedding day as stress free and smooth as possible. We were able to get all of our family photos done with minimal wrangling and were able to spend most of the cocktail hour with our guests. The photos turned out even better than we could have expected. We are so happy that we picked Andy Madea Photography for our special day and will look forward to revisiting it through his photographs for years to come.
We chose Andy to photograph our fall wedding in the Mad River Valley this past September. Leading up to the wedding Andy was easy to talk with and responsive, and met with us a f...
ew months before the wedding to plan. He was friendly and personable, and shared some great ideas with us. He also was totally on board with our vision for the day, and did a fantastic job capturing the important moments, in addition to catching all sorts of candid and fun shots during our reception. We threw a few surprised at Andy (like hiking down to a river and having him chase us around the reception for fun fast-paced group shots) and he was great and really seemed to be enjoying himself! Andy is a great guy who we would recommend to anyone looking for a photographer!
Andy photographed our October 2016 wedding in New Hampshire and we were so glad he did! Andy was available throughout the planning process to answer any questions that we had. We w...
ere looking for somewhat of a relaxed experience and he was able to accommodate that for us while still capturing the important moments. The final product helped us to relive the day and will continue to do that for years to come. We have many great candid pictures and Andy was able to suggest some really beautiful posed pictures as well. He is truly artistic. Andy was flexible and accommodating as it rained throughout the day. Our outdoor ceremony quickly changed to an indoor ceremony and he was able to adapt quickly and get some beautiful shots. I received many compliments from guests about his demeanor on the day of and received more as we shared the pictures with our friends and family. We can’t thank Andy enough for all that he did to make our marriage special and something we can continue to celebrate forever.
