Andy was our photographer for our engagement and wedding photos. He was absolutely amazing, he was flexible when we had to change our date for engagement pictures multiple times. At our wedding he was the best! We had multiple compliments from guests on how great he was, his ability to blend in with the guests in order to get the best photos possible was incredible. Not only were the photos fantastic, he was incredibly personable and made the process relaxed and fun. We highly recommend.

Besides for my groom, Andy was easily the best decision I made for our wedding! Finding vendors and planning for a 2021 wedding was entirely a ***t show, but starting with the engagement shoot and how funny and personable Andy was, and then how beautiful the photos turned out, I knew I didn't have to worry about our wedding photography. Like another reviewer said, he has a a knack for making everyone feel like a model and then look like it too. He was so great at going along with the poses that we wanted to do, and then suggesting his own shot ideas that would then turn out amazing (like nighttime shots on the deck at our wedding). I could keep going, we got our sneak peak the following day and I look at those photos all the time--I can't believe those are OUR wedding photos! Don't second guess, just hire Andy.

We can't say enough how wonderful Andy is. We had to change our big wedding plans to an elopement type of wedding due to COVID. After the ceremony, we went to take bunch of pictures around Tucson with just us and Andy, and he made us feel so comfortable and captured so many beautiful moments. He is so personable and easy to work with, I am so glad he was part of our day and that we chose him as our wedding photographer. From the engagement photo shoot to wedding day, he accommodated to our needs, communicated with us, and helped us plan our day. As a bride, I just felt like I could just trust Andy to capture me at my best, and I gotta say he gave us photos that are gonna be an ode to my youth when I look back on these pictures years down the road. He seriously has a gift for making you look like a model. 12/10 would recommend.

Andy was actually recommended to us by my now brother-in-law who is an amateur photographer. He sent out a Facebook post to one of the groups he was in to ask for portfolios and Andy’s made a huge statement. Before meeting Andy, we interviewed two other photographers – both had great portfolios but we didn’t quite click. In meeting with Andy, it took us less than 10 minutes to know that he was our photographer, because not only were his photos amazing – but he is super personable, friendly and just all around fun to be around. In just our quick meeting over pizza and beer, he was able to write down a rough timeline for the day including who would need to be where and when they needed to be available. We had previously had no idea what we were doing, and Andy swooped in with his professional experience to help guide us. Fast forward several months and our April wedding got cancelled because of COVID – however we knew that whatever we were going to do in place of that day, we wanted Andy to be there to take our pictures. He was so gracious in working with us amidst ever changing plans and health policies and was game to do whatever worked. After what felt like a million date changes, the day came and Andy made sure that everyone felt safe according their own personal preferences and needs. He also used all of his creative knowledge and expertise to create photos that reflected closeness with friends and family, without the actual physical closeness. Nature was kind to us and we had some great views from Mount Lemmon and we were excited to get pictures back. And what we got back from him was stunning. Absolutely amazing. Worth every single penny. Months later, I still cry looking through the photos. But here’s the best part – after the ceremony, and after the reception (in our backyard) – he stayed to help us clean up. He was the last to leave after putting the card tables away. Much of the day was a blur – but we’ll remember that act of kindness forever. So hire Andy, because not only will you get fantastic pictures, but you’ll have a great time together becoming friends. PS. Did you know he was published in NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC?! WHAT.

Without that connection, we never would have met the most professional, charismatic, friend-at-first-email photographer that is Andy. From our first interactions, Andy was warm, fun, and on top of everything. We loved corresponding with him before we met him, and it felt like seeing an old friend when we met for the first time. He flew across the country to shoot our wedding. Need I say more? From the moment he arrived, Andy was a hit with my bridesmaids and family (they asked if he would start a podcast/be their hype man for life after the wedding). He was flexible and adapted to both our wishes and the best lighting (thank goodness he was there to recommend "golden hour" photos vs sunset photos because there wasn't any visible color for the sunset). He captured the best and funniest moments of the evening. His photos were incredibly timely and exceeded our expectations. He is a true professional, a master at his craft, and one of the most amiable people you'll ever meet. Claim him as quickly as you can. You will not regret it!

We are so happy we chose Andy to capture our wedding. We knew we loved his work before we met him but we couldn't have known what a delightful person he is to be around and how much he would add to our wedding day. He was super patient with us as we acclimated to being photographed a lot (probably not one of our major talents beforehand!) and actually made what previously seemed awkward or uncomfortable really easy and natural. His easygoing and festive vibe meshed perfectly with our friends and family the day-of; he was totally our advocate the whole day of and made us feel super relaxed. And, yes, the photos are stunning and we can't wait to make an album and frame every one. There are so many "candids" that actually perfectly capture a whole relationship or moment. Andy did an amazing job at our wedding. I am not a huge fan of getting my picture taken and generally just feel awkward in front of a lense. He took both mine and my wife's considerations to heart and made the whole process extremely natural and fun. He has a great personality and would recommend him to anyone looking for a photographer, I imagine for any occasion. On top of all that, the photos he produced were incredible and he perfectly captured the event for us.

From the moment we met Andy, we knew he was something special and that he was the perfect fit for our wedding. This quality of his work speaks for itself... Just look at his portfolio! Words can't describe how happy we are with everything Andy was able to capture... Higher quality doesn't exist. But he's more than just an incredible photographer. What really made it such a special experience for us was how amazing he was to work with, how professional and knowledgeable he was about how things needed to flow on our wedding day, and how personable, genuine, and fun he was as a person. He found the perfect moments, engaged our guests in the most natural way, was communicative, creative, and just an all around great guy. We'd recommend Andy to absolutely everyone.

Andy was a dream to work with. We hired him for our engagement photoshoot, and he did such a stellar job we hired him again for the wedding! He is a super down-to-earth, kind, and clear communicator. He really made all my friends, family and fellow wedding guests feel like superstars, and as the bride I felt like a real celebrity the whole night. Even my usually painfully shy puppy loved him! We received the sneak peak photos literally the day after the wedding and they were just stunning. Every image brings me back to that day - they overflow with joy. I could not have imagined a better photographer to capture our wedding, and am so grateful for Andy's support, artistic eye, and true talent. I couldn't recommend him enough!

Wow, just wow. I had a day off today but haven’t been able to get anything done because I’ve just been pouring through our engagement pictures over and over. My fiancé and I were definitely awkward in front of the camera at first, but Andy’s easygoing and personable demeanor somehow transformed us to get the most amazing photos we could have imagined! Not to mention, my fiancé is quite anti-photoshoot, but after our session with Andy, he is already planning our next one with him! Honestly, we would have been happy if a few photos came out great, but we are in love with literally every photo and are going to have a hard time choosing just a few to display at our wedding. If only we had found him before we chose our wedding photographer!

Funny. Down-to-Earth. Creative. Classy. Adventurous. Professional. Incredible. Those are a few words I would use to describe Andy after an amazing engagement photo session on Mt. Lemmon in Tucson. My fiance and I met Andy before the session to chat about ourselves and what kind of photos we wanted. The conversation went on for about 2 hours because he's just so personable and friendly, has lots of cool stories to tell, and wants to hear yours. When we got to talking about the shoot, we asked if he could do a some starry night photos and he was really excited by the prospect. He suggested we start off at Windy Point for some sunset photos which was totally the right call! During the shoot, he made sure all of us (including himself) were having fun doing things we all wanted to do. We took some serious photos and some goofy ones, some posed photos and some candid ones. When our poses were getting too consistently serious, he would tell a joke or be silly (while still being professional, of course!) and get us back to a relaxed pose and laughing. After sunset, we moved up the mountain a bit to a spot where Andy thought we could maybe get some good long exposures for stars. Well we did and they came out far better than my fiance and I could have ever hoped. He even managed to get a piece of the Milky Way in the photos. Simply perfect. Of course, the entire time, he's telling jokes, being goofy (again, still professional), and just having a fun time with it all. It also took him less than a week to get all of the photos edited with a 2-day time period for the sneak peak (though I think he said it was a pretty low-workload week so that may not be typical). Seriously, we'd give Andy more stars if we could. He gave us hundreds! ;) We can't wait to get our save-the-dates out and show all our friends and family these amazing photos. We are forever thankful, Andy!

Andy’s photographs of our daughter’s and her fiancés engagement portfolio are breathtaking! The composition highlights their love of the mountains around Tucson, astronomy, and love for each other. I cannot begin to express how amazing our experience was with Andy. He instantly makes you feel calm and like you’ve been friends forever. He was definitely a highlight of our wedding. He has great energy and everything he shoots is absolute perfection. We didn’t have to worry about anything with Andy there. He made my husband and I feel so special. I would recommend him one thousand times over.

Andy was one of the BEST decisions I made regarding our wedding!! From the get go he was responsive, personable and immediately grasped the unconventional vibe I was looking for. Due to logistics, we didn't actually meet until a few days before the wedding but I felt like I had known him for years. Even with a last minute venue change due to weather, and *slight* chaos the day of, Andy was still professional, fun, and got some AMAZING shots. I didn't have time to cry AT my wedding, but I did when I looked through our gallery!! He perfectly captured everything we wanted, and picked up on the love and laughter that is at the core of our family. I would recommend Andy Shepard over and over again!

Andy was absolutely amazing. When we first met with him, he was incredibly organized and helped us to set out a timeline for the big day. You could tell he had a ton of expertise and had done his homework - he had already looked up the location, sunset times, and had a plan in mind. For somebody who knew nothing about wedding planning it was so helpful and comforting to have such a knowledgeable person to work with. The day of my wedding he was like my personal cheerleader, hype team, and photographer all in one. He was professional, funny, and so kind. The unconditional positive energy he brought while shooting helped to calm my nerves and let me just focus on the joy of getting married. He really listened to what I wanted (not a ton of formal family/group photos but more candid shots) and helped shape the day to reflect that. I was super impressed by all the spots he had scouted out and taking photos became a fun adventure instead of another task to complete. And the PHOTOS! Absolutely breathtaking - every darn one of them. Every single person who has seen the photos has been floored by how beautiful they are. The quality of his work is so strong and you can tell he has an innate talent for getting the perfect shot. He was truly a joy to work with from start to finish, could not recommend him more!

Andy was a phenomenal photographer and blew away every expectation that my husband and I had. From day one when meeting Andy for coffee at a coffee shop to discuss the wedding he was personable and made me feel comfortable right away. Which is so incredibly important with the person who is going to catch the most intimate wedding moments. He immediately put me at ease as well as made the planning before the wedding easy and seamless. In the couple of weeks leading up to the wedding he was very responsive and helpful with last minute updates and changes to the day as well as provided amazing feedback and advise based on his experience. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding day photographer. On the day of the wedding Andy made not only my spouse and I feel comfortable and laugh but he also made the entire bridal party laugh, have fun and everyone felt comfortable in front of him taking the photos! Every single bridesmaid and bridal party member told my husband and I how awesome they thought Andy was. We've only seen a few previews of the photos as the wedding was last weekend and of the few we've seen the photos are beautiful! We can't wait to see them all and have no doubt that they will be amazing.

The closest thing to a compliment I've ever heard from a photographer is: "For a pretty girl, you're not very photogenic." So I have a bit of a complex (aka - I avoid at all costs) having my picture taken. I'm not comfortable in front of the camera. My now-husband is even more camera-averse than I am: I can manage a forced smile when I have to but nearly every photo ever taken of him involves his middle finger. So we aren't exactly "model clients" for a wedding photographer. I'd picked my wedding photographer before I even met my boyfriend-turned-husband, having followed Andy on Instagram for a few years. When Chris and I started talking seriously about eloping, I called Andy before I even told my best friends. It took us awhile to get serious, but when we did, we met up with Andy for a beer. Meeting Andy helped my husband-to-be get comfortable with the idea of a camera and another person being involved with our very intimate ceremony plans (just us, two witnesses and their spouses), and we planned our court date making sure he was available. Andy managed to negotiate about an hour of time for portraits near the courthouse with my husband-to-be (when prior to meeting, Andy and I figured we'd be lucky to get 30 minutes out of my dear fiance). Did I mention, we chose November 6th for our court date, which happened to be within a couple of days of the fall-back time change, making it nearly impossible for us to really plan light and conditions? Before the ceremony, my husband and I were both totally at ease despite the presence of the camera. Andy managed the magical balance of directing us and letting us engage with each other naturally. He worked with some not ideal lighting, a fair amount of wind. and was a very welcome "third wheel" for the hour before our ceremony. He also knew the routine at the courthouse, and through a combination of luck and his experience we landed a slot on the marriage roster at just the right time to have a sunset ceremony on the roof of the courthouse. With photography, the proof is in the pudding (or rather, the photographs). Andy's photographs so far exceeded my expectations I'm still giddy every time I look at them. I'm an amateur photographer, and a typical, self-critical woman, so I'm hard on photography. I liked every frame he sent; and loved so many it was hard to choose which to share and print with friends. I am neither a girly-girl, nor a wedding person, and I still find myself just goofy with romance and happiness when I look at our pictures. Both of our witnesses made his photos their profile photos; they both asked for his contact info for family shoots when they saw our photos. His work is technically excellent; but aside from the mechanics, he's also just a true joy to have around on a special (or normal) day that involves having a camera around. My biggest fear, having experienced weddings that seemed to happen for the photos, with the photographer running the event, was that having a photographer present would have a negative impact on our day. It was quite the opposite. Andy was a welcome and joyful part of our festivities, and I feel so lucky that we chose him to join us that day. Thank you so much, mister.
