Anemone Chicago is an eco-conscious boutique floral and event decor studio. Inspired by fine art, we create customized designs for joyous occasions. As the owner, Jessica is inspired by your story and vision and weaves both into the celebration. We take our commitment to your special gathering seriously and artfully.
Jessica’s background in art history informs her designs. Her passion for both present and historical pieces of art inspires her to produce one-of-a-kind botanical compositions. The Anemone studio is dedicated to preserving the environment. A core value of Anemone is to practice sustainability by composting floral waste, buying from local growers and suppliers, repurposing vases/candle wax/fabricwork, and using reusable packaging for deliveries. Our design versatility ensures that we can accommodate your unique style and desired aesthetic. Whether designing romantic flower walls with cascading blooms or rustic arrangements of local blossoms nestled in custom made reclaimed wood vases, our team of design pros creates unique events tailored to our amazing clients.
Anemone is focused on the details that matter the most to you. We prioritize individuality and customize design elements and budgets to align with your specific needs. Team Anemone produces events both big and small, ceremony structures, suspended floral installations, chuppahs, centerpieces, bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres and flower crowns. We have rental items such as pipe and drape, uplighting, lanterns and pedestals. Our team also manages the delivery and setup and event strike so that you can enjoy your time with your friends and family with minimal stress.

essica spent on Zoom calls and emails to help us understand the pros, cons, and practicalities of our ideas. Working with Jessica and Anemone Creative was one of the easiest parts of our entire wedding planning process. We shared our vision and budget, and she made it into a beautiful reality.
Our wedding was an Indian-fusion celebration, and we needed a large Mandap (altar) for the ceremony. We told Jessica we wanted bright florals but weren’t too picky about the types of flowers. Two of our "nice-to-haves" were the inclusion of marigolds, as they are traditional flowers for celebrations and ceremonies in India, and some blue/indigo/violet flower colors. Jessica delivered a gorgeous, flower-covered Mandap that included marigolds! It was truly the centerpiece of our ceremony photos. The bouquets included the vibrant blue colored flowers, as well as roses that matched the bridesmaid dresses, which was a lovely addition. On top of this, Jessica/Anemone Creative had the vision to repurpose several florals from the Mandap for our Sweetheart Table, which also included a simple but creative flip of some hanging flower garlands. During the ceremony, the garlands hung from some open windows in the ceremony space. During the dinner reception, they flipped them the other way, to provide a colorful backdrop for our Sweetheart Table.
The personal florals—bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages—were equally stunning and perfectly matched the vibrant, joyful, multicultural vibe we aimed for with our wedding flowers.

It took just one phone call with Jessica at Anemone to realize she was the one. Trust me, we had intro phone calls with a handful of florists who couldn't remember our names, seemed disinterested, or treated us like we were just another paycheck. Jessica, from phone call #1, was interested in our story, took copious notes, was HONEST... and REAL, and funny! ... she was also really sensitive to our budget, and even improved our vision. Our wedding looked BEAUTFIFUL ... like the kind that takes your breath away. Some of our guests said it "looked like a movie set", and "everything felt so warm."
Plus, the communication to get there was perfect. Jessica always had an idea and always quickly responded to our questions.
Basically, "the florist" was the area we were the most concerned with...and after one phone call with Jessica ... it quickly became the part that we were most comfortable with.

It is hard to find a florist who is able to use as much color as I dreamed of, and Jess was excited and helpful from the beginning. She provided many inspiration pictures along with the proposal, and she brought samples to the final walk through at the venue, so we could really get a sense of her ideas. It was also really convenient to be able to rent most of our wedding decor from her too, instead of having to find another company. Her team came and set everything up. And they were so quick and efficient when our ceremony had to be moved inside due to lightning. At the end of the evening, they came and picked up all the rentals, which made things much easier. We took home my bouquet and several of the table centerpieces, which lasted over a week!

She decorated the venue beautifully with fresh leafy vines. The backdrop to our ceremony were fresh leafy vines, and an assortment of candle lanterns. They looked amazing. Before the ceremony, she met us in our ready room, and she placed the boutannieres on us. This was so appreciated. After the ceremony, Jessica discretely moved the lanterns from the ceremony area to the reception venue. Our guests loved the beautiful centerpieces. The flowers exceeded my expectations and it brought together the vision I had so well. Then we had a zoom meeting and Jessica shared her suggestions with pictures and her ideas, based on I requested. The zoom call was very productive as I was able to see additional pictures of her work and just by talking to her things would naturally fall into place. I was amazed by her work. She had several ideas and options. You can tell that she love what she does. The floral arch for me was very important. I was much more than pleased with the arch. It was just stunning. Throughout the process, Jessica was very direct, flexible and patient at the same time. I connected really well with her style. She worked with me on many changes and adjustments. We went from doing the wedding ceremony at the church followed by dinner; to having the ceremony and then flipping the room to dinner at the restaurant. I would not have done it without Jessica. What I love the most about Jessica is how straight forward she is. She focuses on what you desire and enhances it at all times. The end result was just perfect. If I were to go back in time, Anemone would remain my number one option. She is a true talent. I look forward to working with Anemone in the near future for other events.
