o set up engagements was near impossible, and we were waiting 2-4 weeks to get an email response back at times, and could never get any clear dates that might work despite sending a list of ours over. To be completely fair, one of the longer periods was due to a 3-week vacation we were told about after the fact, but there were other periods of waiting on a response just as long both before and after that. We also signed our contract at the end of October, and when we cancelled on December 16th, she had still not signed her portion of the contract though we had emailed three separate times asking for that so that the contract could be uploaded to our wedding planning portal with our coordinator. We tried to be understanding with the response times since it is busy season, but when we eventually got a response about engagements after the vacation, it was as if we were back at square one with where we would take engagements, though we had already agreed on a location prior and talked about it in detail, all in the same email chain. It was those missed details that were the final tipping point for us, where we knew we had to give up the deposit and find another photographer in order to be confident that we would have someone we could rely on to be fully prepared showing up on our wedding day. Angela was very nice, and I never doubted she would no-show us on our wedding or anything, and we are assuming she just has a little too much going on to manage it all as well as I’m sure she would like to. We debated for a while posting this review, but as a bride that went through all the reviews and only saw a handful that mentioned something like this, I didn’t expect the communication issue to be so extreme, and I hope others are able to take this into consideration before signing and paying, as we wish we were able to.

I understand being busy and tried to be patient but the unresponsiveness is very unsettling. I ended up finding a new photographer- but was of course not refunded for the deposit, which is not right considering I never signed a contract. quickly she was emailing me back when I was getting prices and everything. Communication is KEY to me, so I loved that. Unfortunately, right after booking with her, it was near impossible to get in touch with her. I would have to send emails multiple times to attempt to get a response from her. At one point, I resorted to texting her because I still couldn’t get her to answer my emails after multiple attempts. She then explained to me that she really only handles scheduling through email, which would be understandable if I could’ve gotten an answer through email.
I also had to make the very tough decision to reschedule my wedding due to COVID. None of her available dates for the remainder of the year matched up with my wedding venue, so obviously I had to cancel with her and find a new photographer. I was really disappointed that she would not give me at least a partial refund of our deposit. I understand that this is her business and part of her contract states that the deposit is non-refundable. However, this was completely out of our control due to the pandemic. We would’ve appreciated a little understanding and help during this time even if it were just a portion of our deposit.
We cannot say enough good things about Angela! She has the sweetest soul and is the absolute best to work with!! Highly recommend for all your photography needs 💕

Her husband also came out and helped her for the day of the wedding, so we had more than just 1 coverage! The only thing that I would have changed, was I would have paid to have more time because i feel that we did not get all the pictures that we wanted. However, that was due to running out of time and the weather also made it hectic. But nonetheless, I would recommend Angela over and over again to anyone! g, however, it was almost impossible to get in touch with her to discuss timing, request pictures etc and I felt like I was always having to re send emails, texts etc. However, we did get married during prime wedding season, so to say she was busy is probabably an understatement. As far as the pictures themselves the ones we got are absolutely perfect. However, I do feel like we are missing several moments throughout the day and throughout the reception that should’ve been captured between two photographers. One of the reasons I hired Angela was because I love spontaneous, carefree pictures where we aren’t looking at the camera. She does such a good job at these and we got so many great ones! However, for pictures sake, there does have to be a balance between those and the classic traditional wedding pictures and now, looking back I wish Angela would’ve taken the time to say “hey let’s get some close up pictures of just the two of you smiling”. Overall Angela is a very talented photographer. She works so well with natural lighting and her pictures turn out fabulous. As a newer photographer, I feel like the issues we had will iron themselves out as she continues to gain experience working full time capturing the memories that people can never go back and do again.

After looking at previous weddings she has done, I definitely was a little disappointed in the performance on my wedding day. I also signed a contract that said I would receive my photos within a certain amount of time and it was at least a couple of weeks after that contract date that I actually received the photos. Overall the photos were great but definitely had some issues.
