Angela and her team were absolute angels on my wedding day! She made us all feel very comfortable and beautiful. My friends and family loved her and her team and I will be recommending her to all my future brides!
Angela did my bridal make up and duputta draping. She encouraged me to try new things and ultimately also wanted me to be comfortable.
I hired Angela’s team for my wedding in November. I absolutely loved how I looked at my wedding and my bridal party was extremely pleased with their hair and make up as well. Everyone stayed on schedule and met our timelines. My favorite aspect was how Angela took the time to make sure I was as relaxed as possible throughout the morning and kept reminding me to delegate tasks to the planners and others so I could just enjoy my special day. We had a beautiful 1920’s themed wedding so hiring Angela was the perfect choice to execute a vintage glam look. Everyone in my bridal party had different hair lengths and textures and they all got different hairstyles to both suit them and look on theme.

I couldn't be happier with how my makeup turned out! I shared a few inspiration photos with Angela, and she absolutely nailed the look. The natural makeup she created looked stunning in all the photos, capturing exactly the vibe I was going for. Angela worked with such precision and care, and I truly appreciated her gentle touch.
She even went the extra mile by helping me secure my crystal crown perfectly in place. My hair stayed flawless throughout the entire night, which was a huge relief. Angela's calm demeanor and sweet personality made the experience so enjoyable. Chatting with her before the wedding helped me feel relaxed and confident.
My bridesmaids and I were all thrilled with our hair and makeup, and Angela’s team was just as amazing. They went above and beyond, offering great advice and even helping me with my sticky bra insert. The entire experience was seamless, and I can’t recommend Angela and her team enough!
Angela did my hair for my wedding day and I was overjoyed with the outcome! I felt beautiful and the hairstyle held up the entire night. I also had a veil and flower hair piece that she made sure would be secured until after the ceremony when they were to be removed. It looked amazing!
She was professional in organizing a bridal hair trial and scheduling the day of the wedding so I would be ready in time. She also did my sister’s hair and she was so happy with how it turned out as well! I would recommend Angela and her team to anyone looking for glam for their wedding day!

Angela and her assistant, Melissa, were so wonderful in helping my husband and I look picture-perfect for our wedding reception. They both brought such a good vibe, helping us to relax and laugh our nerves away. Not only did Angela help us look amazing, she also worked with us to stay within our budget. Highly recommend!!!

I wanted very simple wedding makeup and hair, didn't have a bridal party and it was just my mom and I who wanted services. I reached out to tons of companies in the LA area and they had crazy minimums or didn't want to take me seriously because it was just two of us. Luckily, I found Angela and her team and am so thankful! I was very nervous about getting my makeup done because I don't wear much makeup on a daily basis, and have worn lashes only a few times in my life. On top of that, I was changing from a white long sleeve lace dress to a pink and blue lehenga, and really wanted to make sure my makeup worked for both outfits. Angela was super patient, she spent lots of time with me at my trial figuring out exactly what I wanted, how my veil would work with my hair, which extensions were the right ones, if we should go with top liner, etc. I got home from the trial and the lashes were really irritating me, so she suggested a sensitive eye lash glue for me to buy, which she used on the wedding day and worked fabulously. The morning off, Angela was on time and super communicative, and she honestly worked so quickly I was done with plenty of time to relax before needing to head out. My mom is equally indecisive and had lots of ideas for her hair, but she worked with Joanne to narrow down what she wanted, work with the hair accessories she'd brought, and create a gorgeous hairstyle. She was also really hesitant about her brows that day, and Joanne was really good about adjusting and lightening so my mom was super happy. My only (very minor and silly) complaint was that my hair was half up half down, and the twist in the back that held my veil did come slightly undone in the second part of the evening. Nobody's fault (and I was too busy partying to bother going to the bathroom to fix it, we did actually have hairspray in our bathroom baskets lol) and it was great for photos so truly did not matter. Absolutely expect things like that on your wedding day!

What a great experience! Every time I have gotten my makeup done they manage to make it cakey. I was very scared to have my make up done for my own wedding because of this. I booked Angela about 2/3 months before my wedding. We spoke on the phone and I told her all about my cakey fears! I have never had my makeup done so well the day of my wedding, I couldn't have been happier! Not only was my make up great (and cakey free) but she also did an amazing job with my hair and my moms, sister and sister-in-laws hair/makeup too. My flower girl had her hair done as well and she felt so beautiful with the updo bun they gave her. Angela also showed up right on time and was done before the time that was promised. Thank you so much for making me feel so beautiful for my wedding!

I'm so glad to have booked Angela Tam for my wedding! She was able to incorporate looks that I had shown her during previews and I was extremely happy with her work. As a person with really long, thick hair, she was able to pull off an updo that was very secure without any pain. She also used the hair accessories that I requested to use and she made my hair stunning!
She was very communicative and well-organized during the planning process. She set up an entire schedule and allowed time intervals between each person which I thought was extremely thoughtful! She and her team got to the setup area right on time and was able to finish earlier than the expected time which allowed my bridesmaids and I to shake all the nerves out! My bridesmaids enjoyed Armie's and Melissa's work as well! They were very easy-going and their work made my friends feel gorgeous! I recommend Angela and her team to those who are looking for makeup and hair vendors as she's very professional and kind-hearted!

“It’s amazing what unbridled joy and a hair and make-up professional can do!” This was my answer to every “you look so beautiful” on my wedding day. They truly went hand in hand. I highly recommend Angela Tam and her team.
I was not looking forward to wedding pictures – I’m not photogenic, my hair never stays put (no matter how much hairspray is applied), and few can apply make-up in a way that is flattering and boosts my confidence. So, I waited as long as possible to find an HMUA, nearly convinced it was an impossible quest. But from my very first query, Angela was kind, patient, responsive, and knew just what questions to ask.
On Wedding Day, they were true partners. I immediately felt calm, confident, and heard. They didn’t try to sell us anything and listened closely to each member of my I Do Crew: what we wanted, what we were concerned with, what had worked in the past, what hadn’t worked, etc. And integrated it all beautifully – even amidst the chaos and shenanigans our personalities threw at them. We were quite a rowdy bunch, and they rolled with the punches and fit in beautifully. Not only did they finish early after juggling schedule changes, they did so after squeezing in a last-minute addition (did I mention their flexibility?)!
Our hair and make-up complemented each of us beautifully and lasted the whole day. Even though I forgot to use the touch-up kit at my outdoor July wedding, I LOOKED WONDERFUL (as did the others) throughout the night! It all stuck.

Day of wedding, they were punctual, and even finished way ahead of the schedule considering there was me and 12 ladies to service. I've used Angela twice now for 2 separate events and love her, I would not hesitate to reach out to her again for another gala event. She was easy to work with, very pleasant and definitely took pride in her work. I highly recommend Angela, loved what she did with my hair and make up.
Angela and her team were so great to work with! I sent her some photos of what I wanted to look like, and Angela replicated exactly what I wanted on the first try. It was literally perfect! I have thick, red curly hair, which is very difficult to work with, but Angela was able to work with it so easily and give me exactly what I wanted. She also used some of my own products that match my red hair and fair skin.
On my wedding day, Angela and her team showed up on time, and we even finished early, which allowed me to relax a little before getting dressed. She even gave me a touchup kit that I could use later in the day to make sure my makeup stayed flawless for all my photos.
Armie and Kasie did hair and makeup for my family members, and they were also amazing to work with. We all ended up getting false lashes because they looked so great when Angela put them on me!

I booked Angela Tam and her team for my October 9th wedding and she was fantastic! I can't recommend Angela and her team highly enough. I'd originally booked them for my March 2020 wedding (THAT didn't happen...), and they were super accommodating, working through multiple reschedules with me in order to make sure me and my bridesmaids would feel beautiful on my eventual wedding day in July 2021. The team was fantastic, they finished with plenty of time to spare, and they even accommodated a last-minute addition when my sister-in-law wanted makeup done as well!
Angela and her team were quite impressive! First wedding I’ve been in as a bridesmaid where hair and makeup were completed with plenty of time to spare. Didn’t feel rushed at all and the artists were happy to make any changes or additions requested.

If I could give no stars, I would. I hired Angela Tam and her team to do the make up of my bridesmaids and extended family for my wedding last month. I provided pictures of neutral make-up looks with a simple half-up half-down look. Let's just say that the tiktok "This is what I asked for... and this is what I got" is basically what happened.
3 of my bridesmaids cried the morning of my wedding at the hotel because of how horrible their hair/make up looked. I was told that Angela's team member "Wendy" was especially awful and after the first girl got her hair done with her, the others tried to avoid getting theirs done by her.
I felt awful when my bridesmaids told me this. I was unaware of this on the day of the wedding because I was getting ready in a different room so we could have a first-look together later. I was not told by my bridesmaids that day because Hair/Make-up was my gift to them and they did not want me upset the day of my wedding. But to find out that this happened is heart-breaking. I wanted the women who have been with me through thick and thin to feel beautiful on my wedding day. They have helped me so much and deserved to feel beautiful. They are not ones to complain either so for them to say it looked bad... it. looked. bad.
To make matters worse, apparently, for a full glam look, there are "a la carte" charges, such as hair accessories/jewelry in your hair and lashes. I do not know ANY hair and make up artists that say they will do full hair/make up and then charge additionally for lashes. The extra charges were sent after my wedding and despite my request, don't even show details of who got what.

Let me start with, I sincerely am sorry that you are unhappy. I wish we would have know the particular styles your Bms and Family were looks were. From the start your wedding planner Baalika told us your group is looking for a ver...
y simple natural makeup look, and just half down with wavys hair styles. She said it is very simple, can your group work with this minimum rate. Originally, I had requested for more time I know my artists are very keen on very demanding on themselves on getting the styles just right for our clients. But Baalika assured us that they are simple looks, they just want 30 mins each person, as they don’t want to wake up extra early. Base from your planner and family member request, we timed as requested. My artists are very self driven perfectionist and will not depart, they stayed until everyone that wanted rework were complete to the way they preferred and feel beautiful. All my artists would stay to make continues adjustments until everyone gives a final approval of liking their styles before my artists would depart. I was there early in the morning for 2 hours to make sure everything ran smoothly, and my artists were in constant communication with me thru out your entire wedding services, about reworking makeups and hair styles.
Lashes has always been separate, as we don’t want to add to service rate for those that doesn’t faux lashes.
I have followup with your event planner by text, but unable to get a response of your contact cell or email. I wish you would communicate back to me, so we can work on a solution to resolve this in an appropriate manner. Please call, text or email me 6265246210, angelatam.design@gmail.com

Angela and Rosemary were amazing. They were punctual, friendly, helpful and most of all, really talented. They knew exactly what I wanted (really light, natural, romantic vibe) and did a perfect job. They even did my groom's hair at our last minute request (his hair had grown long during the pandemic and it was a windy day) and made him look great! Highly recommend!

Anglea and her team were amazing to work with. All my bridesmaids, my mom, and myself loved our hair and makeup. Angela was also great at creating a day of schedule despite starting so early in the morning. She also accepts various forms of payment which was great.
Angela did SUCH AN AMAZING JOB! My wedding hair and makeup came out WAY better than I expected.
After my preview session with her, the pandemic hit. Long story short, me and my hubby eloped but still postponed our wedding for the following year. So, I decided for our first anniversary I would surprise my husband with a boudoir photo shoot and asked Angela for help. Well, my hair and makeup were stunning, and my husband was a big fan ;) so I decided to do it again but for the wedding we had to postpone. I got SO many compliments, I felt so beautiful! I definitely recommend checking out her insta (@angelatamteam) for ideas on what to do when you book her. She also has hair extensions if you want those, and they actually worked really well...even with my balayage. For my wedding, I had 13 gals that needed hair and makeup including two flower girls. She originally had 3 gals to help her, but brought on another just to make sure we were all done on time. Everyone looked SO good, but most importantly felt so beautiful. <3

After finally deciding to get hair and makeup for my engagement party, I went on a search to find someone who would do natural, but elegant work. Angela had done my sister-in-law's H&M when she got married, so I knew she was a trusted source. Angela was not able to make it, but she sent Daisy to be the HMUA for both myself and my sister-in-law. Daisy was very punctual, friendly, and organized. She listened carefully to help us achieve the looks we were going for. I stressed that I wanted a elegant and classic look, and I wanted to make sure that I looked like myself! Daisy was very patient, as she could clearly tell I didn't wear a lot of makeup. We were both really pleased with how our hair and makeup turned out, and got numerous comments throughout the entire night.
She was very professional and came to the venue really early in the morning to help us get ready. She did hair and makeup for three people including myself. She was able to replicate the hair I asked for and the makeup was very beautiful.
I had my wedding last year October 2019 and this month marks my one year wedding anniversary. Looking back at my wedding day, the one outstanding part of my decisions was choosing to work with Angela and her team for hair and makeup. I hired Angela on to do mine, my mother's, and mother-in-law's makeup and and Angela for my sister's (matron of honor) and her team for the bridesmaids' hair and makeup. That day, we were on a tight schedule since there were so many activities to be packed in and key family members were running late.
Under all of those pressures and time constraints, Angela and her team completed everything to perfection. In fact, at the end of the session, my mother-in-law, who is a beauty professional herself and very attentive to detail, loved her makeup so much that she would not stop complimenting Angela on it the entire session lol! Rosemary, who deserves a shout-out on Angela's team, worked on my bridesmaids' hair and makeup and each came out looking naturally and beautifully.
As for my makeup, Angela worked with me from the get-go! We began the planning process for my wedding makeup with a trial-run with hair and makeup during my engagement photo shoot. Angela was such a pleasure to work with and so understanding. I brought a few pictures I found over Pinterest and ran it by her as well. I wanted a more intense look for my wedding day photos, since I wanted something that was memorable and apart from my everyday look. I was very pleased with my makeup; not only did I look flawless, but the makeup lasted the whole day and night aside from the lips which I did touch-up after eating and prior to photoshoots. Angela was amazing, I swear I looked perfect to the tee on my wedding day! The proof is evident in the photos.
Overall, I would highly recommend Angela. Pricing was also very reasonable to cover costs for all members of my bridal party and my mother and mother-in-law. She is top-notch through and through if you want high quality performance. Thank you, Angela and team!
Angela was very helpful and flexible throughout this whole COVID wedding process. When COVID hit, my original makeup artist couldn't help me on my wedding day, which we had shrunken down to 10 people. I quickly found Angela and she was ready to help me even though I only had given her two months notice. She brought all of her own makeup and had sanitized everything beforehand. She wore a mask and face shield the whole time to keep everyone safe. Angela helped my mom and me out with our makeup and she did a wonderful job. I was so thankful that she was able to help us out as much as she did on my wedding day.
Angela’s talent for finding the best style and look for each client amazed me. She also listens to her clients’s requests and makes suggestions when asked for advice. She’s so patient and pleasant to work with.
It was a month or less before my wedding and I didnt have anyone to do my hair. I wanted someone that has done similar styles to the one I wanted and comfortable doing my bridesmaids' too. I looked on TheKnot for awhile and contacted 2 vendors. The first one sounded promising but couldnt work with my schedule and I felt pressured into signing with them. However when I communicated with her via email I got a response really quickly. She was able to give me a quote and a contract within the same night. It was such a great deal and i didnt feel pressured. She was very accommodating and kind. I am so lucky my date was available. When Angela came to do my hair on my wedding day, my makeup was still being done. She was able to with around it very professionally and was not annoyed or mad in anyway. I didnt have a hair trial so that was my first time meeting her and getting my hair done by her. She is so adorable, sweet, and kind. My hair was exactly what I wanted and more. I loved it so much and everyone did too. I felt very pretty and highly recommend Angela.

Angela came to my hotel for a special Disney event. She worked with me closely before the event to figure out exactly what I wanted and made it happen. I never could have achieved the amazing retro/pin-up hair and make-up style without her. It lasted all day and evening including some serious abuse on rollercoasters. I could not have been more pleased with my experience and would recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing hair and make-up artist!
I cannot praise Angela enough! She saved me for my wedding! My original hair and makeup person backed out at the last minute so I was desperately searching for anyone who was both available and would be in my budget. Angela came to the rescue and shortly after I was having my trial done the morning of my bridal shower. She was so absolutely wonderful and so very sweet as well. I looked wonderful for both my shower and wedding, the makeup lasted all day on both occasions even through sweat, tears, and lots of hugs and kisses. No fading or anything! I bought the lip product she used so I could do touch ups and its now my favorite shade to put on when I want a little bit of color. My girls looked wonderful as well for the wedding, they were able to get anything adjusted the morning of which was very helpful, I wanted them to feel pretty. I would recommend her for anything and everyone- she is WONDERFUL! I look forward to using her services in the future for other events.

I wanted to look natural but slightly more dramatic eyes and Angela was able to create the look during our Preview Session 2 months prior to my wedding. On the day of my wedding, Angela had recreated the same exact look. Angela and her artists also listen to all my bridesmaid's preferences, and they look amazing. Angela really was an answered prayer. My photographer double booked so I had to change my wedding time, canceling the makeup & hair appt I already had elsewhere. With two days to make all these changes Angela responded to my email quickly, offered a great price and was able to work with my limited time frame. According to gps I arrived on time but couldn't find the location exactly. Due to this, we lost a little bit of time but she worked efficiently with every level of kindness, warmth and professionalism. I looked beautiful for my wedding and could've have imagined that day without Angela. You won't regret choosing to go with Angela.
Angela did the hair/makeup for me and my party for my wedding reception. After searching for makeup artists on yelp, I was lucky to find Angela. Despite not having a trial session (due to poor last minute planning on my part) Angela gave me the exact hair/makeup look I wanted. Additionally, she did a splendid job with my party. Her patience and professionalism throughout the process was commendable, and she really does know how to take care of a bride on her special day!

Angela was great! She made my mom and I look amazing for my wedding. She's great at both hair and make-up! It's great that she travelled to me the morning of my wedding, which greatly helped. She was flexible when the "morning of timeline" changed only a few days before the wedding. She's also very personable and we had good conversations during the preview and "day-of" hair and make-up sessions.
This review is way over due. I can't express how lucky I felt to have stumbled upon Angela Tam Makeup Team on yelp page 4 months prior to my wedding. She is by far one of the best makeup artist I have had do my makeup, she is very talented and pays close attention to details. I've had four different makeup artists do my makeup and hair for my Indian Wedding with South Asian Bridal Makeup. The makeup from the other artists were either too dark and bold for my taste or they were too muted and seemed like something I can do. Angela Tam really listened to what I had to say about the look I was going for and truly delivered. Angela created just the perfect Smoky Eye with a hint of Color to created the perfect look for all three events over 2 days, Sangeet, Hindu Ceremony and Reception. She designed just the perfect combo for all 3 of my wedding dresses.
I got married on Sept of this year, and was one of the hottest day of the season. My hindu ceremony were outdoor at noon under the hot sun. I was beyond concerned that the makeup would melt away before I even had a chance to walk down the aisle. But this didn't happen, the makeup stayed the whole day, until Angela came back to create the 2nd look for my Reception.
Angela's has the best technique in Indian Bridal Hair Styles. She created three very different hair styles for all 3 of my events, each has a unique element to enhance the dresses. Angela was able to create a beautiful hair design that really hold up the Extra Heavy Indian Dupatta Veil for my Hindu Ceremony, AMAZING!
I also to mention, that Angela's Makeup Team had also done an excellent job on all 8 of my bridesmaids, and 5 family members. Every one was very beautiful and very satisfy.

I found Angela Tam while searching on Yelp and am so glad I went with her. I needed my hair and makeup done for a photo shoot I was having the following day. She gave me EXACTLY the look I was going for and knew what she was doing. I have never had a great experience getting my makeup done and wish I'd known about her for my wedding day. Aside from being talented, she is super easy to talk to and made me want to hang out and chat with her for hours. I will definitely be contacting her in the future when I need to look my best again. I chose Angela Tam for makeup and hair styling for my daughter's wedding and it was a decision none of us would regret. After interviewing other vendors for this I specifically chose Angela Tam for her professional and creative attitude and ability, her attention to details and needs and her calm and knowledgeable demeanor in handling a bride, her mother and bridesmaids without losing focus. Despite my daughter's skin problem with facial rosacea and my 50+ wrinkles, we both looked beautiful and picture perfect throughout the wedding and reception photography which means so much. I would definitely use Angela Tam's services again for myself and friends.

If I could give 6 stars, I would! You cannot go wrong with Angela Tam and her team! I am not just saying this because I just got married and still going through wedding high. When I got engaged 1 years ago, the first and only vendor that I knew I wanted to lock down for sure was Angela Tam. I used her services for my sister's Indian Wedding and I absolutely loved the results. My makeup was flawless and my hairdo actually stayed intact the entire day, which is impossible for my pin straight coarse South Asian hair. I booked her way in advance for my big day and throughout the 1 years of planning, I made several changes to the contract ( adding a lot of people, changing the timeline..etc) for my 3 days of Indian Wedding Celebrations. At no time did she seemed frustrated or made me feel uncomfortable, even though I personally was annoyed with myself for submitting her through those changes. She is always very professional and prompt to reply to any questions you may have. On the day of the wedding, she showed up early and was all ready to go and deliver the service within the agreed time frame ( actually, with some time to spare!). It was the same way for my sister's wedding, so clearly that's just how professional she is!
Some reviewers say that she is pricey but I actually disagree. If you ask around, professional makeup artists charge a lot more and that's not including hair. I find her price very reasonable in comparison to other vendors and it is a guaranteed satisfaction! I know for sure that if I just tell her to surprise me with a makeup/hairdo, she will do an incredible job.

I must admit, when I first came to see Angela, I was a skeptic. I didn't understand WHY anyone would want to spend so much money on hair/makeup, so I did my share of "shopping" around. I talked to various other makeup artists, and even booked a trial with someone else, and I was just not sold by any of them. Then I remembered Angela. I reached back out to Angela about 5 months prior to my wedding day and needless to say, since Angela's so popular, she told me she was already booked :( However, she told me a few of her master artists were still available, and sent me their portfolio. I looked thru all the photos and decided I wanted to book with Denise and that was honest to God, the best decision ever.
I did my trial with Denise not long after I found out she's available for my wedding day and Denise was really sweet :) I even invited one of my friends who is a makeup guru to join me at the trial...she had a lot to say, lol! Denise was patient with the both of us - she offered her advice as a professional but really listened to my wishes as her client. She made me feel at ease - she was good at both hair and makeup, which apparently is really hard to find, but a common skill set for Angela's Team :) Needless to say, I was super blown away by Denise that I booked her right away!
On my wedding day, Denise and her assistant arrived on time at the hotel and went to work. Both Denise & her assistant made me and my bridal party feel at ease :) I felt like a beautiful bride and was also very happy to see all my girls and my mom so done up and radiant! I cannot thank Denise enough for coming through for me!!!
Somehow amidst all the wedding planning to dos I somehow ended up without a make up artist with less than two weeks to my wedding. As complete panic set in I was desperate to find someone but I didn't want to sacrifice quality. I came across Angela Tam's information on yelp and after a satisfying perusal of her portfolio I emailed her hoping with fingers crossed that she would be available. Contrary to all odds she was available and I had a make up artist. I was very nervous despite the rave reviews she had and her beautiful portfolio. Due to my last minute booking I wasn't able to have a trial and we were only able to communicate via email and pictures prior to the wedding day. I do not wear a lot of make up on a regular basis and was a bit intimidated by the large rolling case she brought with her. However, I should have never worried. Angela is a true professional fast and efficient she had me looking my best in an hour flat. Once everything was done and revealed I was SO happy with the result. I've never looked better. She gave me an amazing look that was elegant and natural and beautiful. She even convinced me to do fake eyelashes which I didn't think I needed but after seeing them I can't imagine my look being complete without them. I am truly grateful to her for the amazing work she did and for making me look the most beautiful bride on my wedding day.

One word to describe Angela - "AWESOME". Angela did my bridal party's wedding makeup as well as my mom's for my Sept. 9 wedding. She was amazing from start to finish. She was very professional and came on time. She came with another makeup artist. Everyone looked beautiful afterwards. What I like about Angela is that she really cares for her clients. She gave me a good suggestion of booking the room overlooking the ceremony site so that I can see the guests when they arrived. It was the perfect location. I didn't feel like a missed much before the ceremony because I could here the prelude music and see the guests arriving beforehand. Angela is also flexible. Two weeks before the wedding, I had to add 4 bridesmaids to get their hair and makeup done and she accommodated them. Everyone was complimenting our makeup. We all felt beautiful that day. My hair and makeup was different from my preview but she didn't miss a beat when I asked her to change it on the wedding day and it came out exactly how I wanted. She was easy and fun to work with. Such a nice person! The perfect makeup artist for any bride who wants to have a stress-free wedding day. She stayed throughout the ceremony and reception to take some shots and even helped me change my hairstyle for the reception.
