I first reached out to Stephanie before the Covid-19 restrictions began. I really loved the portfolio work I saw from her and the rest of the team, and Stephanie reassured me that she and another artist could do not only my hair and makeup, but also the rest of my bridal party and 3 guests. Reserving and booking my date only required a small deposit, and so we were all ready to go! That is until everything was turned upside down... Being a Covid bride, my fiancé and I were hopeful that we could still have our wedding in October. However as the months progressed and the number of cases were obviously getting worse, we finally made the tough decision to postpone our 150+ guest wedding. Angeleno Beauty was absolutely understanding and accommodating to our postponement decision. After some time and patience, we finally agreed on the new 2021 date and Stephanie was completely accommodating and understanding to it all at no extra charge. My fiancé and I then made the last minute decision to still marry one another, but keep the big wedding celebration in 2021. Stephanie was more than understanding and down with our new plan despite not being available to provide the service herself. She introduced us to Emerald, who also shares years of hair and makeup experience, and immediately organized and booked a hair/makeup trial before the elopement. Having met and worked with Emerald, I can confidently say that she is one of the most friendliest, accommodating, and talented artists I've ever met. Emerald was very mindful about Covid-19 restrictions and work a mask throughout the entire service, sanitized everything, and kept at a safe distance. Her professionalism, kindness, and talent reassured me that I made the right decision in hiring Angeleno Beauty. On the day of the elopement, Emerald arrived right on time and immediately got to setup and work. Emerald used the entire time to get my MOH and my hair and makeup done. I absolutely loved how my hair and makeup turned out for our wedding! My fiancé kept telling me over and over again how beautiful and gorgeous I was the entire day and the hair and makeup lasted all throughout the day and night. I'm very much looking forward to hopefully work with Stephanie and Emerald again at next year's wedding celebration and thank them SO MUCH for all they've done thus far!!!

d that although the deposit is non-refundable, we could move the date without penalty. Today we made the difficult decision to postpone our wedding to 2022. We are set on having a spring wedding and our venue let us know that they likely cannot accommodate us in the way we would hope this spring. Every other vendor, including our makeup artist, graciously accommodated the change and honored their promises to not charge us an additional fee. Stephanie insisted that this was unreasonable and quoted us a cumulative $300+ to keep with current prices. When we asked her to honor her promise she refunded our deposit instead. I understand the financial pressures of the pandemic, but she made a promise and did not honor it, which is a deal-breaker for me on such an important day. I understand there are other considerations on her part, but as a bride reliability is the most important thing. She made a sad and stressful day for me even harder. I would recommend finding another vendor that keeps their word (like my other wonderful vendors did).

hristy Y. as my hairstylist. Both are so down to earth, very attentive, and made me feel so at ease! I feel like I’ve known them for ages. During my trials, Vanessa and Christy asked me lots of questions about my personal style and what I’m comfortable wearing—both on my face and in my hair. Plus, they answered any and all of my questions and really got to know the look I was trying to perfect with my dress. And they totally nailed it! They also took lots of photos/videos and made sure I wore everything for the rest of the day—to ensure I was okay once everything was settled and “worn in.” They were also totally open to any changes I wanted to make. Our wedding landed on March 14—literally the day before the nationwide COVID-19 shutdowns. As you can imagine, stress levels were off the charts (not just between us, the bride and groom, but guests as well), and everything was just utter madness. Vanessa, Christy, and Amber took care of the whole bridal party (plus, my mom!) that morning to make sure we felt beautiful. Throughout all the mayhem, they were calm, cool, collected, professional, comforting, and so, so friendly. They’re the kind of team you want on your side when you’re a complete mess—or going through the onset of a global pandemic. Plus, they gave us all little kits so we can touch up our makeup. My bridal party and I looked FANTASTIC the day of and in our photos. Our makeup and hair literally lasted for over 12 hours—from the morning and until the afterparty. My own bridal makeup didn’t even smudge throughout my happy tears. And my hair lasted through over 8 hours of lots and lots of dancing. Huge thanks to Stephanie, Vanessa, Christy, and Amber for keeping a gorgeous smile on my face on my special day!

I didn't know what to expect the morning of my wedding (if I would be cool, calm, collected, frantic, crazed...) and when I was in Stephanie's chair she helped me sit in my thoughts and just take it all in, while making me look absolutely beautiful!! I really appreciate that I still looked like me at the end of the day, not overly done-up or fake-looking and you can really tell in my photos. She is also experienced in doing makeup for all ranges of skin tones which was very important to me (I'm Filipina, one of my bridesmaid's Chinese, my mom-in-law and other bridesmaid are African-American). Stephanie wasn't available to complete our makeup, so Veronica stepped in. I wear make up daily, but keep it super simple. I was so happy about the trial look and I didn't think it could get any better, but then the wedding happened (: Day-of was insane with all 7 bridesmaids, my mother, my grandmother, etc. getting ready and hanging out in the room but Stephanie didn't mind one bit (or at least she didn't show it). She did a unique look on each one of my bridesmaids while still keeping with the theme that I wanted. Even when I had last minute additions or requests, she handled them with ease. She is amazing! In fact, one bridesmaid was skeptical of having professional make-up, but after seeing Stephanie work, she asked to be added in and have hers done too!

Getting ready rooms can be stressful but this one was so chill, due in large part to these ladies exuding a capable air and just being cool to hang out with, and receptive to what each of us wanted. Stephanie impressed me with the gorgeous, dramatic eye makeup for my friend who loves a bold look, and she also made my elderly aunt look and feel beautiful as well. And I loved the vintage inspired look she created for me—it was just want I wanted (with the perfect amount of lashes that looked striking but not unnatural, something I appreciated in my photos). Very importantly, we all looked polished and special but still like ourselves, our best selves, which is key. My hair and makeup stayed on point from noon until I got back to my hotel at midnight, too (and she provides you with a touch up which is so helpful). As someone who retouches wedding photos for a living, I can tell you that my skin didn’t need much post production work largely because the makeup was applied so well. Being creative, on time, friendly, able to think on their feet and delivering long wearing looks that were unique to our personalities are just a few things that make me positive it was the right call hiring Stephanie and Dominique for my wedding. I would absolutely call again for any upcoming events I may have in the future.

It was an extra $100 flat fee to have a second make-up artist, which was worth every penny. Beth assisted Stephanie with the make-up, and Dominique again was point for everyone's hair. We've all had bad experiences with wedding hair and make up (you know, those experiences where you after you're done, you wipe off all your make up, re-do it yourself, and then fix your hair). And with Stephanie, Beth, and Dominique, my friends and family raved about how attentive they were to everyone's needs, how fast they finished, and how beautifully they felt. My make up stayed on the entire night, she gave me a touch up kit, and I received many compliments about how wonderful my bridesmaids looked :) Stephanie even paid a visit to my husband's suite for a few minutes to touch up an overnight breakout. I did a make up and hair trial with Stephanie and Dominique a few months before the wedding - that was very helpful as we got to know each other, played with looks, really got to spend time and figure things out. This helped calm my mind about the day-of as I knew they would be able to make their magic happen within all of our timelines. I wanted a more natural look that wasn't so natural that it didn't look like I was wearing any makeup at all, and I also wanted to recognize myself in the mirror--nothing so drastically different from my usual makeup style. The day of the wedding she was able to not only replicate that make up but even enhance it based on some follow-up conversations which left me looking even more beautiful. She also did a very good job making sure my girls had a similar look too each other while still keeping it unique for their distinct skin tones and facial structures and made sure the make-up fit their individual unique personalities. As many brides know, these days can get overwhelming, so when I had a little stress attack with all the attention I was receiving and the appointments I had to keep (hair, make up, first look, bridal picture, walking down the aisle, etc.), she was able to give me a little breather, move the schedule around for me so that I got a break (causing her having to stay a little later) and move me into a private room so that I could get my hair done in quiet and calm me back down. Stephanie listened and helped me create a look that was special but still looked like me, and I'm so grateful. I did my makeup trial pretty early on. I thought I would change the look closer to the wedding, but I actually loved what Stephanie did from the initial trial . She came to my hotel room on time and ready to go – complete with her own special makeup chair! I especially loved her joyful attitude during the process. She chatted and laughed with my bridal party and was more than happy to accommodate requests from my girls getting ready with me. Stephanie and her team took care of a total of 11 girls without a problem and kept us on schedule. I cannot recommend her enough.
