Angelika Johns Photography

sociate captured our wedding day beautifully. She also helped us design and print our wedding album, which we absolutely love. Throughout the entire process, Angelika was incredibly thoughtful and helpful. She guided us in choosing locations, photo style, and even our outfits. As a couple who felt pretty nervous about being photographed, we really appreciated how she helped us feel confident and at ease. Her guidance made such a difference for us! We love how our photos turned out – Angelika and her associate captured not just the big moments, but all the little details that made our day so special. When our album arrived, we were amazed by how different and meaningful the experience was seeing the photos in print compared to viewing them digitally. The album is breathtaking in person, and our families couldn't believe how beautiful the photos turned out. Thank you so much, Angelika, for creating something so meaningful that we'll treasure for years to come. Your work captured our wedding day perfectly, and we're so grateful to have these memories preserved so beautifully. We recommend Angelika to anyone looking for a photographer, especially those who know they value beautiful photos but might need a little more help coming up with concepts or need a confidence boost during their sessions!

mired your work for years, dreaming of having you as her wedding photographer. It was truly a dream come true to finally work with you! From the very first call, even before Katie and Jon's engagement photoshoot, we knew you were something incredibly special. You possess a unique gift and warmth that made Katie and Jon (all of us!!!) feel completely at ease and comfortable in front of your camera, which is no small feat! Your coverage of the wedding day was simply flawless, and the sneak peek you sent exceeded our wildest dreams. No detail was left uncovered; you captured every smile, every tear, and every joyful moment organically and beautifully and all while blending in with our guests in a completely non-obtrusive way. You truly brought all the special moments to life with your incredible talent and artistry. Our entire family will treasure these images forever, and they will undoubtedly be cherished by future generations to come. Thank you for perfectly preserving the joy of their wedding day. We wish you continued success and are thrilled to be able to support you and your business in the future!

emorable. From the first photo to the last, she brought such a positive, uplifting energy that made everyone feel comfortable and at ease. Angelika was incredibly professional, kind, and thoughtful, while also being hilarious and such a joy to be around. Her ability to balance being both organized and spontaneous helped make our day feel effortless and full of natural, candid moments. You could also tell that she was very passionate about capturing all the moments with us! The photos she delivered are absolutely stunning—chief kiss. Beyond her amazing talent, Angelika is just a truly special person, and we’re so grateful we got to work with her. 100% recommend!

t is her incredible personality. She's genuinely someone you WANT to spend one of the most important days of your life with. Her positive energy is infectious, her ability to make everyone feel comfortable is remarkable, and her talent behind the camera is unmatched. She had this magical way of making us feel like our most authentic selves while also guiding us to look our absolute best. The morning after our wedding, my phone was buzzing with messages from family and friends specifically raving about how awesome Angelika was. And when we received our sneak peek photos? They exceeded all expectations—even better than my Pinterest inspo board! From our very first call, Angelika understood exactly what we wanted and delivered above and beyond. I cannot recommend Angelika enough. She's not just an incredible photographer but a remarkable human who brings the perfect energy to one of life's most special celebrations. Hiring her was easily one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.

ce after 5 min of talking with her. She makes you feel comfortable and like you’ve known her forever, which is SO important if you’re shy in front of the camera like myself and my husband. She made our engagement session and our wedding SO MUCH fun by hyping us up and really making us look and feel beautiful. The finished album is amazing! We have received SO many compliments on both our engagement photos as well as our wedding photos—they are truly magazine worthy due to her talent. I would recommend Angelika to anyone for any occasion, but especially for your wedding. Having her by our side on our wedding day was truly a pleasure and I wish we could relive that day over and over again. Thank you Angelika, from the bottom of our hearts!!

e the shoot, we connected to align on vision and inspiration for the shoot, and WOW she delivered a gallery better than I ever could have imagined. Everything about the shoot felt so custom and specific to us. She makes you feel like you're her most important and only client. Shooting with Angelika felt like a date night for my fiancé and me. She captured our love so perfectly and naturally. Angelika made us feel so comfortable and it really shows in the photos. Her energy and warmth made it so easy for us to just be “us.” We are so lucky to have her artistic vision and extraordinary talent to savor these special moments, and we cannot wait to work with her again on our wedding day. Let the countdown begin!! Thanks again for everything, Angelika—we are so thrilled!!!!

ight and the change of settings (from outdoor to indoor and vice versa). Professional and fun to work with. Easy communications.

pher, skillfully and gracefully capturing both our engagement and wedding day with her incredible eye for detail, candids, joy, and special intimate moments. Her positive energy and calm professionalism set her apart. Angelika went above an beyond to support us throughout the process - I was initially very overwhelmed by choosing a photographer and had no idea what to do for an e-shoot or vision. From sharing inspo photos and suggesting outfits to proposing fantastic locations for our shoots, she played such a critical role in making all our choices easier. The questionnaires she provided before both the e-shoot and wedding day were invaluable, helping us clarify what was most important to us as a couple. Communication was consistent, positive, and timely. She not only addressed all of our questions but also alleviated any concerns with brilliant strategies and contingency plans for unexpected situations, such as snow, wind, or even 60mph winds for our February wedding! (Turned out sunny and gorgeous!) The day-of, we felt confident Angelika could handle any hiccups that may arise, though, truthfully, we were blissfully unaware of any issues if there were any! :) The sneak peak photos were mindblowing, and she's helped us narrow down to create our wedding album, too! Our family and friends also loved working with Angelika, and we all said we felt an instant connection with her. Having Angelika Johns capture such a special time in our lives was truly a blessing. We are eternally grateful for the memories she helped us to create. You absolutely want to choose Angelika for your own special day!! Hands down.

ys close attention to detail, effortlessly captures every second of the day, beautifully poses you in a way that isn't stiff or out of style, and delivers a gallery FULL of images to relive the best day of your life. She is so good at capturing the perfect mix of candid and in the moment photos, but also capture the classic portraits with all your favorite people. Not only is she an incredible photographer, she truly becomes your friend too! She is so kind and full of life, makes you feel so comfortable in front of the camera, and helps with any questions you have on the wedding day and in the planning process. Angelika is one of the most amazing people I have ever met and I quite literally tell all of my friends about her. I could rave about her for days! If there's one right decision to make for your wedding day, it's to hire Angelika to capture your best day. 1000/10 recommend!

otography is a high level of expertise and creative problem solving both ahead of and day of an event. We ended up choosing a cherry blossom engagement photoshoot in DC (which was understandably very chaotic with the crowds) and also had a non-traditional wedding (right as a Hurricane Ian hit) and both photographers navigated some challenging circumstances with a lot of grace and professionalism. They both also have a very calming presence and are able to offer very helpful direction and feedback for those of us who are not as used to being in front of the camera. The day of our wedding, my mom couldn't stop talking about how great Jenny was and we both agree that we were lucky to have her on the big day! Both photographers were able to capture some very special and cherished memories for us, and we'd 100% recommend and work with them again. Bride, Groom, and Mother of the Bride Approved!

s, Kelsey, who was personable and detail-oriented, and made our photo process very easy and fun. Throughout the process, we had great communication from Angelika and we appreciated how thorough she was in getting information from us about our desires for what we wanted to capture at our wedding. We are in LOVE with our wedding photos and are so grateful that Kelsey captured our day as beautifully as we remember it. Angelika had a huge hand in coordination, editing, and communicating with us prior, during and after our big day, and she is just fantastic to work with.

gement/wedding and we had no idea how to pose or do anything. Angelika removed that awkward feeling of posing and made it feel natural. Once we saw the photos my husband and I were shocked at how awesome we looked haha! On wedding day - Angelika and her team were so efficient and so kind. They took all of the pictures (from posed to candid) and captured every moment. I would highly recommend hiring Angelika for her photgraphy skills. She made sure we took plenty of family photos (it was a key thing we wanted) and of course plenty of bridal/groom party photos as well. Thank you Angelika! We love you and your work!

chable, and kind. We were able to do our engagement photos with Angelika before our wedding which gave us a chance to be comfortable with taking photos. She told us exactly what to do with such care and helped us have fun in front of the camera the whole time. This continued the day of our wedding and taking these photos were some of my favorites parts of the wedding day. I am so happy she was a part of our wedding and couldn’t have asked for anyone better.

dding album back, and the photos breathtakingly bring back every emotion from the day. They are stunning. Along with producing high quality photos, Angelika was a huge help with ensuring our wedding timeline had the perfect balance of natural picture time, while also giving us plenty of time to be present with each other and our guests. Angelika truly puts her all into her couples. We felt loved and supported at our engagement session and on our wedding day. We could not have imagined our day without her.

re talking with a long-standing friend. She made us feel comfortable and confident at our engagement shoot, which was a fantastic foreshadow to the wedding day. Angelika is the most wonderful person to have at your side all day on your wedding. She takes the time to understand what is important to you as a couple, and captures shots that portray the natural fun, emotions, and beauty of the day. She is genuinely excited to learn more about your culture and traditions, and celebrate those moments. Everyone in our bridal party asked for the name of our photographer because she is so much fun to work with! And now to talk about her work - Angelika's photos are stunning and vibrant. She always seemed to be in the right place at the right time to capture a moment, even though my husband and I swear we never noticed her standing there. She was flexible when the schedule changed on the day of our events, and checked in with us before leaving for the day. She got us sneak peak photos the weekend of our event, and sent our incredible gallery within 2 months. Do yourself a favor and choose Angelika to capture your day!

nervous. But Angelika was super professional, kind, easy-going, and took the lead while also taking some of our ideas into consideration. She made the process easy, effortless, and fun. From the beginning, Angelika was extremely helpful in giving us ideas for finding a location to shoot, fun props to bring, and even took a look at our outfits to give feedback beforehand. She was flexible when we had to postpone our shoot due to the rainy weather. When Angelika sent us our gallery only one week after our shoot (she had originally told us it would take up to three weeks), we were so happily surprised not only with the speediness of her work, but also the quality. The colors, backgrounds, poses, and angles she captured were truly beautiful. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. We are so happy with how she was able to make us feel and look our best during this exciting time in our lives.

a great job working with us to get the types of photos we'd been dreaming of! Working with her was quite seriously one of THE MOST FUN parts of the entire wedding planning process! She really took the time to get to know us as a couple and every part of the process with her felt so organized, intentional, and fun. She is a JOY to have around the day of the wedding which is so important on such an emotional and intimate day. I could not recommend her more, she is truly the best at what she does!!

job at capturing the tiniest details and is so flexible and adaptable to what your vision is. She's also very friendly and makes you feel comfortable. Highly, highly recommend! You won't regret hiring her.

ly flexible, organized, and has a very calm presence on what can feel like a very hectic and fast-paced day. She understood exactly what we were looking for as a couple, and I am so happy with the photos she took!

ights the sentiment in each wedding day. Having seen an array of different brides I can promise each wedding Angelika has captured is uniquely in light of the client. Angelika is a must hire for your wedding photos if you value authenticity in your photos. Her kind spirit, calming nature, and presence on your wedding day will only elevate your experience.

glad we did because it led us to finding Angelika and we absolutely LOVED working with her!! My husband and I were both nervous about having our photos taken since neither of us have ever had professional photos taken before. Angelika made us both feel so comfortable and we actually had so much fun taking photos. She went above and beyond for us - at one point I’m pretty sure she was holding my wrap, my facemask, and my husband’s keys all while still taking photos. We only had immediate family at our wedding, but every single person there has mentioned to me how awesome Angelika was and how gorgeous our photos are. Highly recommend!

nd accommodating throughout the process. She made us feel at ease throughout the day—it felt like she was just an extra friend there to cheer us on. The pictures were more than we could have asked for, and she even delivered a gallery of beautifully edited "sneak peaks" the DAY after our wedding. Just incredible!

absolutely gorgeous. We loved that she offered an engagement session so that we could get comfortable with her and know what would work for us on our wedding day. On the day of the actual wedding, Angelika and her second shooter had such wonderful energy and they were a joy to work with. They did a wonderful job of capturing both the traditional and the beautiful candid shots from the day. Cannot recommend Angelika highly enough!

ures, but Angelika made him feel super comfortable throughout the whole process which was awesome! She was very easy to communicate with and delivered on everything she promised! We would absolutely work with her again!

that really helped capture the emotions and bring us back to that day. I especially wanted this one certain capture and she took such care in making it happen! Our only regret is that we where not able to book an engagement session with her as well. After all of this planning, your wedding day goes by in a blink and I am so happy we choose Angelika to be our photographer! THANK YOU ANGELIKA!!!

ere very pleased with our engagement photos that we took in the beautiful Shenandoah mountainscape. She took her time to ensure that we took pictures in all of the places that meant most to us. When it came to our wedding day, she made sure everything went smoothly! When it was time to cut the cake, I realized I had no idea where my expensive BEAUTIFUL cake cutter had gone to, but in a literal instant Angelika took my hands and said most sincerely, "Don't worry! I'll be right back!" And within a minute, she brought to us 3 back up options to choose from. She saved me from panicking about such a small detail and gave us a funny story about our wedding instead. Angelika was such a fun addition to our wedding day. She made our family and friends feel welcome, and we couldn't be more in love with the pictures!

picking a photographer that would be able to capture not only the events at our wedding, but the feelings we had that day - towards each other and towards our loved ones. Angelika was able to do this and so much more. The pictures that Angelika took show our love story and have allowed up to relive the memories of our wedding day over and over again. Angelika was absolutely incredible from the very start. At our engagement shoot, she took the time to get to know us as a couple. All the little intimate details that she remembered about us (and our wedding party) made it feel like we had a friend behind the camera the day of our wedding. She did an incredible job of making us feel comfortable, so the photos were truly genuine. Angelika is extremely artistic and willing to push herself creatively. Before the wedding, she scoped out the area and found a few places to do our portraits as a couple. Along with our traditional wedding portraits, Angelika took us on a little adventure to take some pictures that were so unique to anything I’ve ever seen. From a little lake near the property of the vineyard, to a gorgeous field hidden down a long dirt path that no one else would have been able to find, Angelika was able to capture the intimate moments we first had as husband and wife with the most gorgeous landscapes behind us. Angelika is extremely professional and has an unmatched attention to detail. She helped me plan out everything from the details we wanted pictures of, to our family formal schedule, and the timeline for all other important moments weeks in advance so I didn’t have to worry about anything the day of. Her bridal guide was a lifesaver! Honestly, I don’t know what I would have done without her. You would be foolish to choose anyone other than Angelika! I cannot wait to work with her again!

and windy on the day we chose, and my husband and I were really struggling, but Angelika produced photos that made it look like a warm happy day. Our wedding photos absolutely exceeded my expectations. I saw her portfolio of previous weddings and loved her bright, happy photo style and that is exactly what we got. It is no exaggeration to say that I loved every single photo that she took. She was lovely to work with and I absolutely recommend her. As someone who is still young, I know she will be doing incredible things in the future.
