h our wedding. We are SO happy we booked her! She books up really fast though so I wouldn't hesitate! We wanted a journalistic quality to our wedding photos and she more than delivered with just the teaser album! She got every photo we wanted in a way we didn't even know it was being taken. We booked our wedding at the Lightner Museum shortly after getting engaged, and I knew that I wanted to book our photographer as soon as possible. Lightner constantly posts photos by Angel - it looked like she photographed there all the time! I was completely blown away when I saw her photos online. When Angel said she was available for our wedding date, I felt like I won the lottery. From our first conversation with Angel, we knew we were in great hands with her laid back personality and confidence. Angel is not only extremely talented, she is also very knowledgeable about lighting and technique - which is so SO important in this industry when lighting can change at a moment’s notice and you can’t redo your wedding day. Her attention to detail is incredible, and she will fix your fly away hairs or make sure to always highlight your “good side” ;) We were blessed with beautiful Florida weather on our wedding day, but I am confident that she could make even a stormy afternoon look stunning. Angel’s photography style is timeless - Even in fifty years we’ll look back and continue to love our wedding photos and laugh at all the candids. These are the kind of fine art photos that you can print and hang all over your home as art. Angel is such a sweet and genuine person. It’s been so nice to get to know her a little bit more, and I find myself smiling at photos of her son and her dog when she shares glimpses of her personal life online. On our wedding day, it felt like Angel was a loving family member taking our photos - she and her assistant Mai managed to capture every single special moment without “taking us away” from those moments. What I especially appreciated was that despite the fact that she often photographs weddings at Lightner, Angel always works with passion and challenges herself to try new things. The most important thing I feel I should lead with is while she was on a couple list provided to us, we had no other point of reference or recommendation as to who we went with for our wedding photographer. She happened to be the first one we interviewed with. Angelita was amazing both times we spoke to her, very attentive and detail oriented. She was the second vendor we hired after booking the Treasury and we hired her almost a full year in advance of our wedding. The other important item to note is I am very uncomfortable in front of the camera and am not photogenic at all. Our big day came and the photos were just the most amazing thing I have ever seen. She is so much more than five stars and I am going to be putting this review everywhere I can. I know how scary picking a photographer can feel, especially for the cost of a quality professional.I can 100% confidently recommend her and could not be more grateful to her for how she captured the greatest day of my life. end (besides the memories) are the pictures. I legitimately can not put into words how amazing Angel is. I actually found one of her albums while I was searching my venue with no intention of booking a photographer yet. It took me about three pictures to be lured into her amazing photography. I called Angel to find out more information. Angel was so sweet and warm, she answered all of my questions and concerns and we agreed on a time to meet. We started off with an engagement photo session. Angel helped talk me through ideas such as props, photo spots and even outfits! She laughed and joked with us and we were totally comfortable the whole time. It was very apparent that she knew what she was doing and had a lot of experience. We had our entire album of 244 photos in three days. I was so in love with the photos that we used them for showers, our engagement party, our house decor and even used them to decorate our wedding! I am a very strong type A personality with a side of indecisiveness. Angel answered my millions of phone calls and text messages almost immediately and every single time was very sweet, pleasant and helpful. She is organized, she listens and she is a very hard worker. On my wedding day, she remembered poses I had talked to her about in our initial meeting (a year and a half prior) that I had even forgot about, and made sure we shot all of those pictures. The day after my wedding, I had 30 sneak peaks to swoon over. She made us look like we belonged in a bridal magazine! I cant say enough about Angel. She is worth every single penny... and then some. Her work is amazing and she is so enjoyable to work with. Her smile never leaves her face. Hiring Angel was BY FAR the best decision I made during my entire wedding planning process. We set up an engagement shoot (i highly recommend meeting your photographer before the big day, helps get rid of any nerves, and makes you all more comfortable together) and she did an amazing job. She offered the right amount of suggestions/poses and captured some stunning candid and staged photos. From that shoot she was able to create great cards to pass out to guests at our wedding so they could access our photos online. Fast forward to the wedding day and we saw one of Angel's best strengths as a professional photographer - her patient and flexibility. Our venue is known for it's outdoor spaces (including our entire reception being held outside) so of course it decided to rain ALL afternoon, throwing off timing and shoot locations Angel had planned to use. But none of that mattered. Angel (and her assistant who was also amazing) stayed calm and led us through some incredible moments, including a very meaningful first look in the rain. From there Angel fit in seamlessly with the ceremony, capturing some of the best parts without interfering at all with us focusing on what we were doing. During the reception Angel was able to quietly steal us away for a private photo shoot during the sunset and was able to capture some absolutely breathtaking photos of the sky and rain (we keep looking at the pictures and can't believe it's actually us). Angel also captured our friends and family having a great time out on the dance floor, including staying way past when we thought the night would end in order to capture our sparkler send off. As if she couldn't get any better, Angel was already editing and uploading photos the next morning for us to share with our friends! She went so far as to try and erase individual rain drops off my jacket! We really wanted a photographer that could capture the story of our day and Angel did that beautifully. We can relive the day start to finish, with some incredibly dramatic photos in the mix. Angel also put together a book for us to keep, incorporating our feedback instantly on photo choice and layout, and is something we will enjoy for many years to come. When it comes to photographer options, I fully believe that Angel will provide you with incredible care, joy and artistic skill that will help you and your family remember you big day forever.
