I bought a beautiful dress that I loved from Ania bridal. My experience with trying on dresses was great but the rest of my experience was not. After ordering my dress, I received it with a stain on it along with a broken hook in the back. I to...ok it back and they said it would be fixed. I was told my by consultant that she said she would be with me for my alterations and tell the seamstress “exactly how I wanted it.” I spent almost an hour with the seamstress by myself, who would not listen to a word I said. The bust on my dress was too big. After speaking for a little while trying to explain why I needed alterations, the seamstress said “okay but if there is any problems with the dress, come tell me, don’t go complaining to anyone else”, a weird comment to make but I decided to forget about it because the consultants said she was at her job. 2 weeks later I go for my final fitting and it did not look like my dress anymore. My cups were taken out of the dress, the entire lace top was detached from the lining, and the lace was ripping. The dress was sagging, as before, it fit almost perfectly. I asked “why isn’t the lace attached to the dress anymore?” The seamstress response was “oh honey, it was never attached” After arguing about it, I ask to get the sample to compare and she realized it was suppose to be attached. She told me that I could add cups in it if I wanted to make it feel better and she turns around and grab two cups that were laying on the floor with all of her scraps and unzips my dress and begins sowing cups into my dress while I am wearing it (there was cups in it when the dress first arrived). May I mind you that these cups were D cups, I wear a B cup. A supervisor came in and told the seamstress what she needed to do with the dress and the second the supervisor leaves, the seamstress says she is not going to do that because "it won’t look good". I left obviously upset and was told that I would get a call in the morning. I got a call from a supervisor saying that the seamstress has been talked to and that the dress was not finished as it should have been. My consultant/supervisor said that that she tried looking for the same dress but could not find it anywhere, and obviously if the supervisor is trying to find another dress, the one they had was pretty messed up. She said that “the dress was going to be fixed, but it wasn’t going to look the same”. I took the dress home to get another opinion of another seamstress also said “the dress would not look like it once did”. I was very upset. I told the company that either they needed to get me another dress in the same size or be financially responsible for what has happened. They said the only option they could offer me is to take it back in to their seamstress to get fixed and finished and that they would cover the alterations. At this point, I don't care if the alterations are covered, I do not trust taking it back to them as my wedding is 2 1/2 weeks away and they said “well sorry, you aren’t giving us much options”. Thus, I am left less than 2 weeks away a ruined dress that even if it was fixed, “would not look like the same dress”. I would not recommend this place to anyone for their unprofessional and unwillingness to take responsibility for what has happened. I would not rely or trust them for anything especially your dress for your big day. I am now left with anxiety and worry trying to figure out what I am going to do before my wedding day which is in 13 days.
