Aniu Salon SPA

I had my nails and hair done by the staff and Aniu and I can not say enough positive things about them. Barb created a wonderful simple and elegant look for my nails and DeeDee worked actual magic on my hair. Everything looked amazing and stayed put all day. I couldn't be be happier with the way I looked on my day thanks to these wonderful people.

Andrea (make-up) and Lacey (hair) did a wonderful job!! They were both willing to make tweaks during my make-up and hair trials so that we achieved the exact look I desired. Both make-up and hair were replicated perfectly on our wedding day! Only downfall was that many of the bridesmaids' curls quickly came undone and my updo was slipping early on in the day so required lots of extra bobby pins throughout the day.

I brought my large (me, 7 bridesmaids and 2 moms) bridal party here for the wedding day morning. It's great that they can fit everyone in and I like that they set up a little table where we could bring in snacks and drinks. I was excited for some fun girly together time with my bridesmaids! Unfortunately it didn't really feel like that. Everyone was brought to their own chair in various areas of the salon even though all the seats next to me were wide open! I don't understand why they don't group the bridal parties next to each other especially when there are plenty of open seats! Hair was all fine- I didn't end up loving my hair but that's probably my fault for not really knowing what I wanted. I also think it's silly they charge for an updo if there are any clips used. We had some very simple half up styles that were charged the same as if we'd done complicated updos! The makeup was my bigger issue. I'm not sure anyone who had their make up done was very happy. Several of the party said they don't really wear makeup daily so wanted to keep it subtle and felt like they were overdone. I felt like my stylist wasn't really listening to me when I expressed my dissatisfaction. I also found it weird that me and my sister were offered different options for fake eyelashes- I wish I could've had the individual ones instead! When I said I thought mine where uneven rather than being patient she got frustrated with me and reapplied them hastily to get me out of there! I ended up having one of my bridesmaids reapply the lashes once we were at the venue.

Overall, we were satisfied in the end but the experience was expensive and stressful. Macy, the bridal coordinator, is great and organized. She sends out a contract that describes prices and styles (updo versus just styling). The trial alone was $75 and does not include a shampoo. On the wedding day, the bride and 2 bridesmaids were not seated/styled together so there was no way to talk between us. Since one was a teenager, this was very silly, especially since I had asked that we'd be nearby to each other. Neither bridesmaid was happy with their styles and had to be adjusted. I was happy-ish with my style but it did not hold up in the winds of the day. Oddly, my stylist told me not to comb or brush my down-do but instead to adjust it/fluff it with my hands. Worst advice ever, so some of our pictures are pretty bad. When we checked out, they overcharged us an extra updo, so an extra $40. When I corrected them, they had to call over a manager to confirm the hair was actually down, who took one look, agreed the hair is down, and instructed the cashier to correct the bill. Macy emailed to ask how our experience was and I essentially told her all this. No adjustment, no apology, no response.

I went to Aniu because my usual hairdresser (who also does wedding hair and makeup) was unavailable. They easily accommodated my group of 4 with a team of people that got us in and out in an hour and a half. We each got exactly what we wanted and had a great time. (Note: This was after the summer 2018 flooding in Middleton so they were in their temporary location. Unfortunately that meant they were small individual rooms so we weren't able be together as we were having our hair done. But they made the most of a bad situation and we were all brought back together for makeup.)

The staff at Aniu is so helpful and friendly! They have everything - nails, make up, hair - anything you may need for your big day and do an amazing job! Lexi did my bridal hair and was awesome! Deb did my mom's and was so helpful with the entire process! Totally recommend everyone, but especially Lexi & Deb!

Aniu Salon did my hair and makeup, all of my bridesmaids, my mom, and mother in law day of my wedding. they were fantastic to work with. emailed back quickly and answered all of my questions. my only criticism two is my trial hair and makeup cost the same as day of, but over all they were reasonably priced and I wish we all would have been able to sit together while getting our hair done instead of spread out across the huge salon. two very small things in the grand scheme though. they set out a table for us to bring food and drink in and also provided us with coffee, tea, and water. Winona my hair stylist was amazing. At my trial she was able to take a couple photos and build exactly what I wanted. I think my trial turned out ever so slightly better than my day of, but both rounds turned out amazing. When my mom's hair was finished the day of, she wanted to make a quick change, and they accommodated her until her hair was exactly the way she wanted it. I would definitely recommend this salong to anyone looking for hair or makeup for the wedding or event.

Aniu was an incredible choice for my wedding. They handled my party of 5, my mom, my mother-in-law, and myself in an hour. I did a hair trial and ended up choosing to do something completely different the day of, and the woman who did my hair was super flexible, listened to me, and gave me EXACTLY what I wanted. All of the staff gave my party a great experience, and the ability to sip some bubbly and snack while we waited was a plus too. Highly recommend. Oh, and I got married in the middle of August, OUTDOORS, and my half updo stayed all afternoon and night - even with the humidity and the dancing.

I can't say enough great things about Aniu! The salon is so well organized, they accommodated me and my 9 bridesmaids, all in under 2 hours! Lacey did an unbelievable job on my hair, it stayed in place all night and I have a ton of hair and Harlow did a great job on my make up! I couldn't be happier!

ANiU did a beautiful job for my wedding! They gave me, the bridesmaids, and my mom the perfect hairdos, and we all wanted something different that fit our own style. Worked great with all hairstyles, textures, ages of women, everything! They were super flexible on the day of (which for a Saturday, I was not expecting them to be able to accommodate us) when a couple ladies needed their nails done or wanted to get their makeup done with me as well. Jemree was really fun to work with and totally took my feedback after the trial to give me the perfect updo for my wedding day! It stayed in place for two days! Zach is amazing and not only made me look gorgeous--it was so fun to be called that all day--but made the process fun. Joked around with my aunt and helped set the tone for the rest the day: to have fun and enjoy the moment! ANiU also provided a table for us to set out breakfast and mimosas that we could swing by between appointments. I highly recommend them for your event.

Anui did a great job on my entire wedding party. I have recommended them since my wedding to others! Great job!

hair was amazing

I loved my experience at Aniu. Both the hair and makeup artist were professional and friendly. I had a hair and makeup trial ahead of time, which were helpful to define the look for my wedding day. I also got a manicure and pedicure, both of which looked fantastic for the wedding. I was thrilled with all the services here. My bridal party loved the atmosphere of the salon on the morning of the wedding, and were gushing over their own hairstyles. It may be a bit pricey, but trust me when I say it's worth it! You will look beautiful.

I had Renee to my hair and Paige to my make up. With out their help, I would not have looked so gorgeous. They knew exactly what to do, absolutely no complaints. My husband even made a comment of having them do my hair and makeup was one of the best decisions we made throughout our planning process. Thanks a million girls! P.S--My hair stayed up so well, it wouldn't have come down if I didn't take the pins out to wash my mane.

The bridal party had a great experience at the beautiful Aniu Spa. As the bride, my hair and make-up were amazing - no complaints at all! If anything, brides should be aware that the salon charges higher prices ($70+) than other salons, and price-sensitive brides/bridesmaids may cringe.
