I had an amazing experience with Anjelica. She was SO helpful when it came to planning beauty and helping us set up/stick to our timeline for our wedding day prep. She was very responsive when I had questions and always put my worries to rest. She made sure all of the bridesmaids felt comfortable and everyone looked beautiful and natural. One of my bridesmaids even said this was the first time she didnt have a complaint when it came to her makeup! I cant rave enough about Anjelica and how beautiful I looked/felt for my wedding.

Anjelica was the make-up artist for my July 2019 wedding and I honestly can't say enough good things! Lucky for me, she was recommended by my hair dresser and was very quick to respond when I reached out. From the first initial call, she was incredibly easy to talk to and reassuring that I would still feel like myself at my wedding (I usually don't wear much makeup at all). At the trial, she was able to create exactly what I was looking for on the first try, something very natural that didn't cover my freckles, but still done up enough to look great in photos. She did my bridesmaids', mom's, and aunt's makeup as well and they all loved their final looks!!! Her prices were very reasonable compared to other Chicago make-up artists and it was an added bonus that everyone could choose to have false lashes for no additional cost. In short, I'd highly recommend Anjelica to other brides!

Anjelica’s abilities are so amazing - my makeup looked flawless and help up through all my happy tears. She was GREAT to work with and I can’t say enough about her skills. I honestly do not even know where to begin with how much I loved my bridal look by Anjelica! She made sure to work with my hairstylist to create a perfect schedule to work around our busy morning. Each bridesmaid was OBSESSED with their makeup and so happy with the outcome. For me as someone who is not great at doing her own makeup, Anjelica made me feel like the most beautiful woman in the room. It was the perfect blend of camera ready and a natural look. Working with Angelica is a dream! From the very beginning of the process, she was thoughtful and took the time to listen to what I envisioned. During the trial and wedding day, Angelica checked in with me throughout the process, to make sure I was happy every step of the way. Not only did the makeup turn out beautifully for myself and my bridesmaids, but Angelica has a caring, outgoing personality. She made the entire day fun and upbeat. She made everyone feel and look beautiful and natural. She even helped out with some dress/veil drama, and calmed me down (and opened our champagne)! Anjelica was referred to me because she did makeup for a friend of mine who got married a year before me, and did an amazing job. I loved how she looked beautiful and the makeup the enhanced her features but wasn’t over the top- you know how that can go!! Anjelica and I chatted before I decided to book her, and I was hooked by how easy it was to connect, and how she immediately got my vibe. She did my trial in my apartment with my mom the first time we met, and made me feel sooo comfortable. I don’t usually wear a full face of makeup, and I loved how I looked, and it made me amped for my wedding plus able to relax about something that can definitely cause lots of anxiety!! Day of the wedding, she did a beautiful job on my makeup, my mom’s makeup, my MIL, and bridesmaids. I was SOOO impressed with her timing and working with my other vendors. Plus she’s amazing to work with- so kind, so easy to talk to, and super stress free. Witnessing some of my friends get married and having major opposite experiences made me SOOOO thankful for Anjelica and the other people I worked with who rocked it on my wedding day. Please work with her!! I can’t tell you enough how awesome she is and how great she was to work with, plus she made me look and feel great.

Anjelica was perfect in every way! She was professional, supportive, kind, and so much fun! My photographer referred me to Anjelica, and I am so glad that she did. I loved her from our first phone conversation! I don't really wear much makeup on a daily basis, and so I wanted minimal, natural looking makeup on my wedding day. Anjelica delivered just that! I live in San Francisco and got married in Chicago, and Anjelica was very accommodating with my crazy schedule. She came to my parents' house for my makeup trial on the date that worked best for me. I hired her to do my makeup and my two bridesmaids, but everyone loved it so much, that she ended up doing ours, plus my mom and my two aunts!! From the very get-go, I knew I made the best decision going with Anjelica for my wedding makeup. I was looking for someone who would make me feel beautiful - enhancing my features in an elegant and natural way. I also wanted someone who would keep me calm knowing my wedding day would be exciting, yet I'd probably be full of nerves. Anjelica did all of this and more! From the moment she finished my makeup to the end of the night, I left like a princess. Everything stayed perfectly in place and it wasn't because it was caked on. My face felt fresh and my makeup looked that way, too. She understood the vision I had and brought this to life, which is now beautifully captured in photos. On top of it all - Anjelica is truly the sweetest person ever! She was kind and personable and put us all at ease both leading up to the big day, and on the day-of. I so appreciate her attention to detail, the way she answered all of my crazy questions and how she listened not only to me, but also my bridal party - bringing out the best in all of us. I will undoubtedly recommend her to anyone, and am beyond thrilled that she was part of my wedding day.

Anjelica did a wonderful job for my wedding in September. My makeup was the perfect balance between natural and “special occasion” and stayed put all day and night (even after lots of dancing!). I received many compliments on how beautiful and natural all of the bridesmaids’ makeup looked. Anjelica is clearly a skilled makeup artist, and she was great at listening to my desires and making it happen. She communicates well and is very pleasant to work with. Anjelica did the makeup for my wedding and she is the absolute best!!! I had been in so many weddings the year before and never loved my makeup which made me super nervous to pick someone for my own wedding. We talked on the phone about my makeup fears and she totally understood exactly what I was looking for - natural but a more made up version of myself. She totally nailed it and all of my bridesmaids loved her as well! She was so easy to work with and even sent me amazing recommendations for my honeymoon!

I don't think I can put into words how amazing Anjelica is. I did 3 different makeup trials for my wedding, and left feeling just ok after the first 2. Anjelica was the 3rd, and she made me feel beautiful and confident, and totally exceeded my expectations. For the wedding, I felt beyond amazing and was so happy with how it turned out!

I can't believe it has taken me so long to write this review! Working with Anjelica was wonderful from start to finish! Her work makes you feel like an enhanced version of yourself. I never felt like I was wearing too much makeup which is exactly what i was hoping for. Every one of my bridesmaids was so happy with their makeup that day also. Not only is Anjelica amazingly talented at what she does, but she is also so great to talk to and really knows how to calm a brides nerves. You will want to hire her and be friends with her! :) One of my favorite touches of hers was bringing me lipstick so that i could touch up my makeup all night and use the same color she used on me that day. I think about that every time I get my makeup done now for other weddings. All in all, Anjelica made me feel like a beautiful, modern bride. You will not regret choosing her for your wedding day.

When I started looking for a make-up artist, I wasn't really sure what I wanted since I don't really wear make up in my every day life. I wanted it to feel light and look natural. Anjelica was the only artist I talked to that immediately calmed my nerves about not putting on too much and making sure that at the trial I would feel completely comfortable in the make-up she put on me. The day of in addition to making me look naturally fabulous, she did a fantastic job with the bridal party as well. She also made the day of stress free by making a schedule for the bridal party. I first met Anjelica when she was the makeup artist for my good friend's wedding. As a bridesmaid, Anjelica was fun to work with and truly listened (and delivered) to what all the girls wanted for their look. I first met Anjelica when she did my makeup at my best friend's wedding, and I was completely blown away by her work. My makeup was light and beautiful! So I decided to ask if she would do my makeup at my wedding, and I am so grateful she said "yes!" Not only was my makeup EXACTLY as I wanted it, but she made all my bridesmaids feel special as well. She took the time to figure out what look every girl was going for, rather than quickly giving everyone one look. She did a beautiful job with everyone, but beyond that she was just a really great friend to have along the way. I met Anjelica after my sister did a thorough search online for a makeup artist for my wedding. From the first conversation over the phone with Anjelica, I fell in love with her. On that initial call, she told me how excited she was to be part of this journey with me at this happy time in my life, and I could just tell that she really meant it. We did a trial for my engagement photos about 9 months before our wedding. She traveled to my apartment to meet me, where I told her about my plentiful makeup allergies. From then on, she was super careful about every single item she applied to make sure I wasn’t allergic. For those pics, she made me feel so beautiful....but not overly made up. My then-fiancé, who is always honest, loved it too! During the course of the 10-month engagement, Anjelica and I were in touch and she continued to look for makeup that would not make me break out from my allergies. Then, the wedding day finally arrived. Anjelica put us—a few of us with a lot of pre-wedding nerves—- at ease. Besides my own bridal makeup, she did make up for all the women in my bridal party, from the two moms to a grandma to three sisters...all different ages with very different looks, personalities and needs. Each one of us felt SUPER beautiful—and yet still like ourselves. As the bride, I felt like a princess for a day! I would recommend Anjelica to any bride and for any other dress-up occasion as well. I now count Anjelica as my friend!

She made me feel and look my most beautiful on the best day ever! Anjelica is not only professional, she is the MOST fun to work with. Everyone in the wedding party felt comfortable and beautiful, we stuck to our getting ready schedule, and we had a great time doing it! Anjelica was amazing! I don’t usually wear much makeup, so I was very nervous about this particular portion of the wedding day. Anjelica made me feel comfortable and beautiful, and her airbrush makeup was so good that many of my bridesmaids told me that it was the best they’ve ever seen! Highly highly recommend.

I cannot recommend Anjelica highly enough. From the first time I contacted her to the wedding day, she was kind, professional, and easy to work with. I am pretty clueless when it comes to makeup, and she patiently answered all my questions. During the makeup trial, she really listened to what I wanted - a clean, classic look, and most importantly, to look like myself- and nailed it. Her kit included many high quality and organic products. She also provided recommendations for myself and my bridal party to prep our skin for the big day. On the wedding day, Anjelica had put together a makeup schedule, which made the process run smoothly. Again, everyone raved about her professionalism and kindness. Everyone - from my sister to my very picky grandma - were thrilled with her work and looked beautiful. When it was my turn, Anjelica’s chair was a calming and fun spot during a hectic part of the morning. The final look made me feel confident and beautiful, and looked great both in person and in photos. It also held up all day in 100 degree heat! Anjelica’s prices were comparable to or lower than many of the other artists I considered. If she is available for your big day - hire her!

Anjelica does the most natural, flawlish make-up! I was so happy to see my final look on my wedding day. I really have never felt so beautiful. She is very professional and so fun to be around on your special day. I HIGHLY recommend her as a make-up artist. There was absolutely no regrets!

I could not say nicer things about Anjelica! I met Anjelica when I was a bridesmaid in one of best friends wedding. I loved the makeup so much that I referred her to my twin-sister, and she did our makeup for her wedding as well! She's so talented and such a genuine person. I consider her a friend now!

What chance did Anjelica and I have against kismet? The way that the two of us connected is a whole other story, but I am so thankful our paths crossed. Anjelica is unbelievably talented, a master of her craft. She made my bridesmaids and I look and feel like absolute royalty. I'm not a big makeup user, and Anjelica was extremely receptive to that. She knew that I did not want my wedding party to look artificial, and made-up. Anjelica was able to make my bridesmaids, mother, mother in law, and I look absolutely flawless. Her movements were confident, decisions sound, conversations hilarious - I wish we could do my wedding makeup every day so we could just hang out. I would recommend Anjelica to anyone. Commercial / Television makeup, advertising, wedding, engagement photos, birth announcements - anything. Anjelica has the chops and experience for it all. You will NOT be disappointed.

I'm kind of a makeup minimalist, but when I have an all-day event like a wedding, I want to look natural and last all day. Anjelica did our makeup for my friend's wedding, and she TOTALLY got what I was going for. I felt like a prettier version of my normal self! I had the pleasure of working with Anjelica on my wedding day in July 2016. The special thing about Anjelica is not just her beautiful artistry and her incredible skill at making everyone look and feel gorgeous, the special thing about her is the ease and confidence she brings to her work. I think I threw her every curve ball in the book on the morning of my wedding such as, a miscount of women thus adding two more people for her to do (in a total time crunch!) and I also completely changed the look I wanted from my trial to the actual wedding day. She did not even bat an eyelash. I honestly don't think I even saw her breathing change. She just said, "Okay!" With a giant smile and rolled with the punches. Her calm amongst chaos is contagious. Every single person that sat in her chair that morning looked in the mirror and said, "Wow!". She nails it every time and she exemplifies the kind of person that loves what they do. When Anjelica left and she finished up my bridesmaids makeup, I wanted her to come to my wedding. Working with her was a dream. She was extremely professional in the months leading up, but not in a cold, all business kind of way. This is what I mean, I don't know how she does it, but I respect the heck out of her craft and how she runs her business, and she also just a really nice person as well.

Anjelica made my whole wedding experience fantastic! She was so very professional and impressed both myself and my family. She made my problematic skin look flawless and my makeup stayed on all day... which is the first time that has ever happened for me!! I absolutely loved the natural, but picture perfect look I wanted. Her makeup artistry took years off of my 70-year mom in photos. Everyone at the wedding commented on how stunning our makeup was... even after a whole night of dancing! Anjelica is the best in the business and I could not have been more pleased with her service.

I almost never wear make-up. Mainly because I'm pretty inept when it comes to putting it on but I'm a believer! Anjelica is amazing! She made me look beautiful in a subtle way. I was particularly wary of the fake eyelashes which is included with the bridal trial and day of make up, but I gotta tell you, it's worth it! It was like they weren't even there after a few minutes. Although after our ceremony I may have cried a corner of one off. Easily fixed with help from my maid of honor. If you're a crier or even have potential, I would recommend some extra glue in your bag just in case. The air-brush machine? Can I just say, if I could get that for my home use, I would just apply it all the time. Going to Mariano's? Airbrush! Going to walk the dog? Airbrush! All imperfections literally disappeared in a minute or less. Anjelica was wonderful about staying on schedule too! As someone who doesn't like to be late, I really appreciated that we were done when she said we would be. Oh last thing, whatever that spray is at the end...it basically shellacked the make-up to our faces. It's amazing. Like Anjelica.

Anjelica did the makeup for a wedding I attended in August. It was amazing! It is an art to "makeup' a bride To look natural, enhance her beauty, making her camera ready as we ourselves could never do! Anjelica has that talent. I also had the pleasure of meeting her and she is a sweet, easy going person. Just the person you want taking care of you. I no longer live in Chicago, or I would go to her for my "special night out" makeup.

I've always wanted to be the "best version of myself" when thinking about the gown and the make up for my big day. What I loved about Anjelica was that she used the same motto in speaking with her for first time about her make up philosophy. Because of her motto, she truly tries to make brides feel and look their own best. I was hesitant about the airbrush make up, as I typically only wear bronzer. I was worried it would be heavy and fake. Anjelica took the time to explain the texture and the benefits. She also made sure to explain that my make up was a collaboration, so if I didn't feel comfortable, she would use something else. Upon trying it during my trial, I loved the make up! It was light and long lasting. Best of all, my fiancé said that it looked very natural. Anjelica definitely looks out for what her brides want. I was able to show her photographs of what I wanted for my eye shadow and she followed what I was looking for, while still making it her own and personalizing it to my skin color and type. She is knowledgable about the products she uses and believes in everything she applies. Not only is Anjelica professional and knowledgable but she is also friendly. I loved talking to her during my trial and know she will be one of the girls during the actual wedding day. I can't wait for my bridesmaids to meet and work with her! Overall, I fully recommend Anjelica for any special event. I LOVED (more like was obssessed with...!) my make up during my wedding trial and it photographed so beautifully during our engagement shoot! Anjelica does an absolutely wonderful job!

Anjelica was referred to me by a friend of mine when I was looking for a make-up artist for a wedding. I was the matron of honor, so I needed makeup to last me the entire day. She had responded immediately when I called her, and she is nice to work with. On the day of the wedding, she was very prompt and even confirmed the day before on the arrival time to my house. She comes with all of her supplies and is overly prepared. Once you sit down with her, she LISTENS to what you are looking for and then talks you through her steps before application. The final results were incredible, and she happens to have the warmest personality. Needless to say my makeup looked amazing the entire day, and the compliments were through the roof! Anjelica did my makeup for my wedding and it was better than I could have ever expected. I am not a makeup wearer normally, and I have very sensitive skin, so i was a bit nervous to get my makeup done. I told Anjelica my concerns and the look I was going for (in very few words!), and she worked her magic. It was like she was inside my head creating the exact look i wanted! :) It stayed on all night too which helped me just enjoy the day and not stress about the small stuff. Anjelica is totally laid back, flexible, and easy to talk to. But she has the attention to detail that takes her work to another level! I also used her for my maternity photos and will continue to use her for all of my events.

I started to get frustrated because I was finding too many artists whose portfolios were not what I was looking for (80's make-up, yikes!) or they charged an arm & a leg (I really didn't want my bridesmaids to have to pay oodles of money). I found Anjelica's ad in Chicago Social and the picture was lovely. After looking through her website and some pictures of her work, I was very hopeful. After receiving a prompt, friendly, straightforward response from her, I was sold. So I used Anjelica for both my engagement pictures and for our wedding and seriously, SHE IS AWESOME. I was so pleased with the way my make-up looked on our wedding day and so were each of my bridesmaids. It was the perfect blend of glowing, but still done up. It looked fresh and natural but stayed on all night! In addition, Anjelica is such a nice person and a calming influence, so she's was extra handy to have during the stress of getting wedding prepared. She really listens to the look that you are going for and interpreted it well for each of us. When I shared that the lashed from our engagement shoot felt a tad heavy on my eyes, she came up with the perfect alternate plan for the wedding day. Both times she did my make up, she extremely prompt, set up quickly and worked efficiently. Anjelica is a true pro! I am now working to convince my husband that I need her to do my makeup for other things... so, obviously, I recommend her services for anyone looking for a make up artist that will make you look fresh, glam, and glowing. Anjelica came recommended through a family friend. She was incredibly responsive, professional and did an amazing job. She did my make up for my wedding and I didn't feel over done or unnatural in the least. As well it lasted throughout the night and even through a few tears. Didn't have to worry about it at all, touching up lip gloss was the most I had to do. She did a trial run and was very accommodating about locations and travelling. Wouldn't hesitate for a second to use her again or recommend her to friends.
