We looked through probably 30+ different photography websites and spoke with 3-5 photographers via phone / FaceTime, and I'm confident she is the best photographer we could have had for our wedding. Here are the top reasons why! #1 The outcome: phenomenal photos — We are absolutely thrilled with Anna's photos. She covered all the categories we didn't even know that we wanted - beautiful shots of the empty space, formal couple photos, getting ready photos, family portraits, etc. These categories are probably quite common among wedding photographers. What makes her unique is the way she captures emotion and experience in her elegantly exquisite photos. They immediately transport us back to the weekend and have us reliving the feeling of being on the dancefloor, the laughter at a joke in a toast, or the happy butterflies as I walked down the aisle. Additionally, she captures wonderful elements of our weekend we didn't get a chance to see - fun connections among different friend circles, families meeting and mingling. The pictures bring to life how our guests enjoyed themselves, helping us appreciate just how wonderful the weekend was. We struggled when trying to decide which ones to frame because there are hundreds of truly stellar frame-worthy shots. #2 The experience during the weekend — Part of why Anna was able to achieve such phenomenal photos is her cheerful, encouraging, and efficient attitude, demeanor, and personality. This is critical! With her commentary and instruction, I felt like I could relax even during a weekend when I was constantly on display. She's so much fun! During bride and groom portraits, which could have felt forced, she helped us feel comfortable and captured such lovely connection between us. She also seamlessly corralled lots of different family and bridal party members into the necessary configurations to get the shots we wanted, all while enjoying ourselves. Multiple bridal party and family members specifically emphasized to me how great she was. #3 The experience during planning — Wedding planning is an undertaking and you want someone like Anna as a partner through the process. She is a wealth of knowledge and experience, and a fantastic counselor - offering guidance from her experience when asked, her gentle yet honest opinion when requested, and always enthusiastic about whatever choice you ultimately make. We agonized over whether to do a first look, for example, and Anna was exactly the counselor I wanted: she walked us through the logistics of what each would look like, the pros and cons, what she often sees others decide, and then was fully supportive when we decided not to do a first look, and helped us make sure we could still capture all the elements we wanted. #4 Cost / contract — Weddings are expensive and Anna's contract terms were quite favorable for the experience and result we received. She was flexible to some of the adjustments we wanted to make, and she provided free digital access to all the photos for us and our guests, which was a necessity for us. Having actually done the whole wedding now, there are lots of things I would change or tweak if I could go back in time and do it over again. Anna, though, I would pick each and every time. She's superb!

dea what kinds of photos I wanted. Anna made the classic suggestions, cute suggestions, and followed up with a comprehensive family list. Whenever I came up with an idea during our sessions she jumped right in to take the photo! She was responsive to every email, helpful, the perfect hype-girl [without over doing it :) ], and was incredibly efficient on the wedding-day, giving us the perfect amount of time with our guests. Most importantly she got my now-husband comfortable with taking photos!

Anna was so amazing at making him feel comfortable and he was laughing and having a great time shortly into our session. The pictures were absolutely gorgeous! She was so supportive and checked in with me throughout the whole process. I cannot recommend her enough.
