Anna's Marketplace Bakery

The cake was delicious but the filling was unevenly distributed. Also, they failed to include a box for the top layer to take home. The frosting from the tasting was far less gritty than the frosting on the actual day and there could have been more roses added to the cake. However, they were far more friendly than any other place in town I contacted and I really did have a good experience with them.

I was not that impressed with Anna's Bakery. They were not ready for us when we came in for our tasting, and made us come back later so the samples could thaw.. first red flag. The cakes we tasted were good but didn't quite have the diversity or flexibility we looked for. Assured by the owner that they could make my vision a reality, we booked them. I wanted a colored cake, and because they were skeptical it would work, they baked a sample layer, just to see. the color was perfect and tasted loads better than the tasting cakes we had, so i got really excited. The wedding day brought disappointment though. The cake itself looked nice enough, but the detail work looked unprofessional and amateur. We wanted simple a simple two-tier cake with wavy lines along the bottom, but the lines looked haphazard and just randomly squirted on there, inconsistently and messily. It was a DIY wedding, so people just assumed that I had made the cake, which is NOT what I wanted when hiring a professional baker! I was not given what I expected, and wouldn't recommend them to another bride.

Yum Yum and so easy to work with. Great price and it looked perfect. Your local neighborhood bakery but with the elegant cake you want for a wedding.
