Alexa took the general color scheme and listened to how the general feel of the wedding we were aiming for and absolutely killed the design of our day. who had interviewed well but turned out to be extremely disorganized, so we fired our original planner after about 5 months of underwhelming services. With 8 months to go before our wedding, Anne & Alexa agreed to take over for us, and they did an absolutely phenomenal job from day 1 through the entire wedding weekend. Our planned outdoor wedding had to be moved inside at the last minute due to a huge thunderstorm that rolled across DC and they totally saved our day. The storm likely would have caused a total crisis with our original planner, but this team handled it like complete professionals and everything went flawlessly. Alexa was our primary planner & coordinator, and working with her was always a pleasure. My wife’s maid of honor leads marketing & events across North America for Porsche, and even she was impressed with Alexa’s work during the rehearsal & wedding. After we signed our contract with Anne & Alexa, Alexa promptly took over communications with our existing vendors that we had hired (photographer, venue & band), and helped us with selecting all the rest. She also did a thorough review with us to go over our budget planning, timeline for various decisions like invitation mailings, etc. Neither my wife and I are very artsy so we were happy to let Alexa and our vendors take charge on the design process with a bit of input around our preferred colors and a general aesthetic. They presented a draft option based on my wife’s Pinterest boards, we provided a little feedback and they nailed the final design. They were super accommodating to our busy schedules as we both work and had a lot of personal events going on during this time. Alexa & Anne coordinated with our vendors to schedule calls at convenient times and always be respectful of our busy calendar, which was very much appreciated. We had selected an outdoor venue in DC, and about an hour before the ceremony we got hit with a Noah’s Ark biblical-level thunderstorm. Alexa and her team coordinated a rain flip from outdoors to indoors that went flawlessly at the last minute. They cleared out our entire tented dining & reception space of the dining tables, bars, etc., and then set up theatre-style seating for 200 attendees, all the florals, the string quartet, and audio system, all in about 25 minutes. They also ushered our guests inside from the dropoff point and moved the outdoor happy hour setup inside the building and kept guests entertained with a few drinks downstairs while the rented rooftop was flipped for the rain plan. The team absolutely nailed the transition and the ceremony went off perfectly. We are so glad we had Alexa running our wedding weekend in light of how the weather upended our original plans. Alexa was so helpful, organized, made awesome vendor recommendations, always available for questions, responded to emails promptly, coordinated everything, was extremely attentive on the BIG weekend, making sure every detail was taken care of and our needs were looked after. We couldn't be more pleased with how AKE shepherded us through the wedding planning and execution. So many times I would say to Alexa, "I think we should...." and time after time the answer was "I got that, don't worry about a thing." What a relief that we could enjoy the wedding weekend without worrying about all the little details that are necessary to have an awesome event. They are worth every penny of the fee...in fact their value far outpaced the cost. I could go on and on. Anne and Alexa were simply fantastic.

She is extremely well networked in the industry so had great recommendations on vendors. She brings a really refined eye and a lot of great ideas for decor/design for the event. Her team that was with us on the day of the event were total pros. They handled EVERYTHING for us. I was able to be totally relaxed the entire day because they had all of the details totally covered and kept me out of things I didn't need to worry about. Our Rabbi who was from out of town even commented on how great they were to work with and he has worked with a lot of planners in the past.
