Annette is hands down one if the most talented photographers I know. Our photos are AMAZING and beyond anything I could’ve hoped for! She did both our engagement photos and our wedding (which we discussed our wedding date with her first to make sure we could use her as our photographer). She captures moments that you don’t realize are happening, but they’re the moments you want to remember. The moments that are subtle, candid, organic, authentic, sweet, and simple. Not only are her photos some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen, but she is a JOY to work with! She is sweet and thoughtful and funny and professional. Very easy to work with and feel comfortable with even if you’re uncomfortable in front of a camera. She makes fun and easy and was honestly such a steady presence to have around on such a big day. Not only that, but she was so kind and encouraging and considerate when COVID happened. We didn’t know what to expect having a COVID wedding, but we knew that we could count on her. Annette is truly one of the very best in both talent and in heart.

I'm honestly not even sure where to begin. We happened across Annette a few years ago. She was visiting Portland, OR and needed couples to go hike with to add pictures to her portfolio. My husband (then, boyfriend) and I are both nervous in front of the camera, but love hiking and needed some nice pictures. On that hike, it felt more like we were out with a friend rather than a photographer. As soon as we said our goodbyes and sat in our car, we both turned to each other and said "She's going to shoot our wedding." We hadn't even seen the pictures yet, but her energy was awesome. She made us comfortable and kept us laughing the whole time. Once the pictures came back, we were floored. They were absolutely gorgeous. She captured not only our faces, but our personalities, our relationship, and the overall mood of a spring hike an old growth PNW forest. A year or so later, we got engaged. Annette was the first person we told our date to - cause if she didn't have it open, we were going to pick another date. Another year passed, and COVID hit. Annette worked with us as our venue changed and things became more and more uncertain. She kept us reassured that our wedding would still be just as wonderful and beautiful as we'd hoped pre-covid. At our wedding, we got multiple compliments on how nice our photographer was. Our wedding party all said that they liked how easy her directions were to understand ("walk like you're depressed... but laugh.") The table she sat with all said she was super cool and they had great conversations with her. She has this way of being everywhere at once, and finding those little moments. I'd be in the middle of a conversation with someone and think to myself, "this is a nice moment" and then hear her clicking away behind me. She delivered a BUNCH of pictures for the preview, two days after the event. I couldn't believe how quickly she'd gotten to work on our photos. The whole family was stunned at how beautiful they were. Some even said right there and then that they were going to hire her for their future weddings! Today we got back the rest of our wedding pictures. Annette took SO many beautiful pictures of us, our family, our friends, our decorations, our venue (which was my husband's family home), and the food and drinks. There's pictures of laughing, of happy tears, of dancing. There's pictures of holding hands, big hugs, toasts, rounds of applause, and kisses on the cheek. She got EVERYTHING. Flipping through the pictures is like reliving the entire day from start to finish. Hire Annette. Her pictures are perfect, and she's overall just a wonderful person. Thank you, Annette. I haven't even had my wedding yet, and I have to write a review for Annette. She is incredible. Her work is fantastic. Her professionalism is amazing. She is so quick to respond to emails or texts. Rescheduling with her during Covid has been so easy and stress-free with her. With Annette, I don't just feel like a client, but I truly feel like she actually cares. She flew to Denver to take engagement pictures for my fiance and I, and I can't get over how beautiful her work is. I was so nervous for the pictures, and she put us so at ease. I can't wait for the wedding date and to see all of the beautiful pictures that she captures!

I will never recommend a photographer before Annette. Her expertise in this field are unmatched in my experience – from her customer service to her contagiously positive attitude, she is sure to surpass your expectations every time. When my husband and I asked her to travel with us to Utah for our engagement shoot (a bit far-fetched, I know), she was onboard and had the trip mentally planned out within a matter of minutes and without hesitation. When our wedding day itinerary kept changing and I was calling her several times that wedding week, even though she was shooting other commitments that week, she still made sure to make time for my texts and calls to ensure everything would work out smoothly and my nerves would be calm. Throughout the entire engagement process, she took the time to understand our needs and our personalities which assisted her in capturing moments that felt joyous, natural and tailored to us – a deep, interpersonal skill that you cannot guarantee in every photographer. Beyond her role as photographer, you can count on her throughout your entire working relationship to be tirelessly committed to positivity, support, adventure, timely communication, on-time delivery, creating a safe and judgement free zone, etc. etc. the list goes on. I highly recommend including Annette in your special day, whatever the occasion may be. When my daughter booked Annette a week after she got engaged I thought she was crazy. How is the world could you make a choice that quickly. After seeing their engagement photos I realized I had misspoken. This was reaffirmed after working with Annette on the day of the wedding. She was so kind and happy to be apart of my daughters day. This was my third child's wedding so this was our third time working with a photographer. Annette was different in the sense that she was so intentional about helping capture my daughters day. She was constantly moving around taking photos of everything she could! Right before Annette left I pulled her aside and thanked her for all her hard work. She is a great photographer and an even better person. I am very grateful she took part in the day!

Annette was the perfect choice for our day. She was so organized. She put up with my groomsmen's antics, laughed with us, and kept us on track while taking some amazing pictures. We received the previews the next day so that we could share some samples out with friends and family. They looked incredible! Annette is the only person I could imagine shooting our wedding. With her free spirit and go with the flow attitude, she was able to give us photos above and beyond what we expected (and we've only gotten sneak peek). There should be higher options than 5 stars, Annette is such an incredible person to work with. I met her only 2 months prior to my wedding, and I am forever grateful that she still had my date available after another photographer cancelled. Annette felt like a life long friend while shooting my wedding. Not only did she photograph my wedding, but she helped with so many other things and there were so many points during the day that I was just so glad to have her there with us. I have received endless compliments on how sweet my photographer was and how beautiful my pictures look. Everything with her went so smoothly and I would absolutely recommend her to anybody! Absolutely one of the best decisions we could have made was having Annette take our engagenent/wedding photo's! She went above and beyond, even as far as having her assistant go pick me up gauges because I had forgotten mine at home! Mind you she never did charge me for then either. As far as day of she captured every moment we asked her to and more. Very thorough and breathtaking images that we love going through even 3 years later. Would highly reccomend Annette to anyone who is looking for not just great images but great integrity and great personality.

This girl is a dream to work with! As a bridesmaid at a wedding she shot for one of my dearest friends, she completely made us feel relaxed and natural while we got ready. I was super impressed by how she listened to my friend the Bride’s vision, and carried it out without adding any extra stress on the day of the wedding—in fact, honestly she made everyone’s day easier by making sure we were hydrated out in the crazy August heat and just being so thoughtful and gracious in a dozen other small ways.
