We had the immense pleasure of working with Annie Bang and her incredible team for our marriage celebration, and we cannot recommend them highly enough. We hired Annie Bang Photogr...
aphy for both photography and videography services across three days of events, and from the very start, Annie took the time to truly understand who we were and what we were hoping for. Her attention to detail and her genuine interest in capturing our story set the tone for an amazing experience.
Annie’s work speaks for itself—the quality of her photos is absolutely stunning, with a photojournalism style that captures the real essence of each moment, giving us a window into interactions and reactions that we may not have otherwise known. But beyond her immense talent, Annie was an absolute joy to work with. She and her team, including her second photographer Brett, lead videographer Ailin, and second videographer Michael, brought a relaxed yet highly professional vibe that immediately put us and our guests at ease. Their kindness, warmth, and thoughtful approach made it feel like we had long-time friends behind the camera. In fact, several guests even asked if we had hired a friend to be our photographer!
Ailin's videography work also blew us away. She is so sweet and had clearly put a lot of thought and planning into how she was going to capture video and audio of our weekend to weave together her final product. The final products (1 long video and 2 shorter videos) so perfectly captured the essence and energy of the weekend, in a way that we would not have been able to envision for ourselves. Her thoughtful storytelling and artistry brought us and our loved ones to tears.
Despite the high-stress nature of wedding photography and videography, Annie and her team never let it show. Their clear communication and teamwork were evident, yet their presence felt natural and celebratory. They came in with a solid plan, but their flexibility and easygoing demeanor made the whole experience enjoyable and stress-free. We were not only comfortable with them—we felt incredibly lucky to have such kind, competent people capturing our most precious memories.
What really stood out was how Annie’s warmth extended beyond us. She easily befriended other vendors and guests, creating a sense of camaraderie and comfort that was so special. It meant a lot to us when we saw that Annie and Brett had taken beautiful photos of our other talented vendors as well—photos they could use for their future marketing as well as remind us of our special day. It’s just another example of Annie and her team's thoughtful and generous spirit.
If you are looking for a photographer (and videographer) who is not only immensely talented but also incredibly kind, genuine, and a joy to work with, look no further than the team at Annie Bang Photography. We feel so fortunate to have had Annie and her team capture our weekend, and we will forever treasure the stunning photos and videos they created.
Thank you, Annie, Brett, Ailin, and Michael for capturing our memories so beautifully and for being such an integral part of our special weekend!
I wish I could give Annie 10 stars. She and her team are not only extraordinary professionals, they’re amazing, genuine people. They seamlessly blended in with our guests, and it r...
eally felt like they were another one of our close friends at the wedding. We truly cannot recommend Annie and her team enough.
Our photos are jaw-droppingly beautiful, and we’re obsessed with them. It looks like we simultaneously booked a studio session for Vogue, had a field assignment with Paper Magazine, pulled out retro photographs from a dusty album in the 60s, got caught by TMZ at a red carpet afterparty, I can keep going. We absolutely love them and couldn't have imagined them any more perfect. Not to mention how much emotion and authenticity she was able to capture. They look like stills from a movie and looking through them made us feel like we got married all over again. We can't give high enough praise and are so taken aback by how she was able to capture our spirits, the essence of our relationship, the love we felt for each other and felt from our friends and family. We don't want anyone else to take photos of us other than Annie for the rest of our lives!!
We met Annie at the wedding expo and so glad we did!
We couldn’t be happier with Annie as our wedding photographer! She took the time to get to know us and that made us feel so c...
omfortable from the start. She also has a team of the photographers and videographers. Their photos and videos captured our wedding day story and we love how they show full of raw emotion!
What stood out most was Annie’s ability to capture the little candid moments that really made the day feel personal. She has a way to connect with people and it was really helpful since I can be a bit camera-shy.
We’re so happy with the memories Annie and her team helped us create and couldn’t recommend them more!
We met Annie at a bridal expo and immediately loved her personality and photography style. When so many wedding photographer's work look the same, Annie's stood out as unique and d...
ifferent, really capturing the event and it's unique moments. I am so glad we chose her! Leading up to the event, she was great with communication. Because we hired Annie before we chose the venue, it ended up involving travel, and Annie made that process as straightforward as possible. On the day of, Annie and Brett were fantastic. They were fun and fit in perfectly with our energetic family. It felt more like they were friends with cameras than hired photographers, so they were able to blend in with the guests without everyone feeling awkward. Even when we did the formal photos, they made it comfortable for everyone, which isn't easy! Our guests all commented that they loved Annie and Brett, and how well their energy mixed into our celebration. When we got our photos back, we were thrilled with what they had captured and the quality of the photography overall. The prints we received as part of our package were great quality as well. I could not be happier with Annie and we would highly recommend her and Brett for any photography needs!
We were looking for a photographer who could really capture moments as they happened, with very little focus on the traditional style of staged photos. So we were very lucky to fin...
d Annie!
She is super easy to work with. Before the wedding, she was communicative and professional, and guided us in creating a timeline that was perfect for us. On the day of our wedding, she was a fun and joyful presence, putting everyone at ease. We barely noticed her once she got to work, yet the photos show she was right there for all the best moments. And now we have so many wonderful photos to treasure and share.
Annie put tons of talent and care into documenting such an important day for us. She has a real gift for capturing movement, energy, excitement, humor, love, emotion, and everything that makes a wedding special. We are grateful that Annie is a part of our wedding story, and highly recommend her!
Annie (and Brett) exceeded our expectations. The photographs were exactly what we wanted, something that captured the feel of our wedding without coming off staged or cookie-cutte...
r. She captured a vibe that brings that day back to life every time we look at our album. Can't recommend her enough.
Annie and her partner, Brett, did an amazing job shooting our Oct. 2020 micro-wedding. When we first reached out to Annie more than a year before our wedding, we didn’t even have a...
date yet, but we had seen her work online and wanted to meet with her to see if she would be a good fit. After chatting with us in a coffee shop for more than an hour, we left not only certain that we would love Annie’s work and approach, but also that we would really enjoy spending our wedding day with her! Although we initially hired her to photograph our wedding pre-pandemic, when we needed to make changes to our wedding date, location, and size, Annie was more than willing to still work with us, which was really important to us, because we definitely wanted Annie to be our photographer! Annie and Brett were so much fun to have around on our wedding day, and I think part of why our photos came out so great was having them there felt like being with just another friend or family member—but ones that so happen to be able to take amazing photos! They really captured all of the love and emotion of the day, and we are so glad that we will always be able to look back at these photos to remind us what a truly special day it was.
Annie is the absolute best! Her work is incredible, the moments she captured were amazing and we had so much fun working with her. Annie took the time to get to know us beforehand ...
and learn about our story which I feel really helped us connect with each other. She was so easy to work with, and even in the rain, captured the best moments and made our wedding day stress free. We didn't feel like she was our photographer but just another close friend at our wedding...(who just happens to take incredible pictures)! Seriously, all our friends and family loved her too and would not stop talking about her. I highly recommend her, you will not regret it, and we would not hesitate to hire her again for any events!
Just hire Annie. If you have doubts at all, let this assuage them all. Hiring Annie was the best decision we made throughout the entirety of wedding planning. I honestly can't even...
express how thankful I am that I found her. We ended up getting married in the Bev Hills courthouse about a year before our actual ceremony was booked and Annie showed up within only a week or so request to photograph that for us, as well! She helped keep everyone cool, calm and collected throughout the entire day. And the pictures we will treasure forever. They are ASTOUNDINGLY AMAZING and I truly don't think anyone else could have captured such candid, raw joy the way Annie did. I'm honestly crying just writing this review because those pictures mean so much to us. We ended up not even hiring a videographer at all because her photos tell such an amazing story of the entire day themselves. Anyway! Hire Annie! She's truly worth everything.
Annie captured our wedding day brilliantly - couldn't recommend her more highly! They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and every time I look through our wedding photos, I f...
eel all the joy and richness of our magical day flooding back. I have Annie - and assistant Brett (who we were lucky to have) - to thank for that!
My husband and I agreed that we wanted our wedding day documented, but we didn't want to spend the whole day posing for formal, stuffy photos - we wanted to have FUN. Annie's documentary-style was the perfect solution, allowing us to enjoy our day, while she captured candid moments, details and shenanigans that ensued. When we shared the photo album with our guests, everyone commented on how excellently the photography reflected how gorgeous, beautiful and fun the day was.
I can also recommend Annie as a good communicator and real professional, with clear pricing, contracts and payment reminders (helpful when you're planning so many things). She brought warmth & laughter on the day-of (we had fun!) and has a great ability to problem solve on the spot (for example, when we were running behind schedule). She put everyone at ease, and our photos speak to the fun we all had!
Words cannot express how happy we were with Annie and her work. During our first meeting, Annie truly wanted to get to know us, and her unique approach to tell our story through ca...
ndid photos is what set her above the rest. On the day, she and her team made everyone so comfortable that it was as if she wasn't even there. This made each and every photo so priceless as she captured the purest energy of the moment. Annie, we will cherish these images forever. Thank you!
The moment we saw Annie's photos, my husband and I knew that we wanted her to capture our day & I can say without a doubt, her work was perfect. Annie will be your cheerleader thro...
ughout the process. By the time we got to the big day, I felt comfortable in front of the camera, but tbh half the time I wasn't aware of the camera being around. She's that good. ;-) Her photos will show your day - the sweetness, the love, the fun, the laughs. I am so happy we found Annie. Real talk - my husband and I were on our honeymoon in Rome & both thought "Ugh, wouldn't it be great if Annie was here & we'd have these amazing photos in Rome?" So, in short, hire her. You'll love her, her work and will want to work with her again.
From start to finish, getting to know Annie has been a pleasure. She is kind, bright and a joy to be around. My family still sings her praises and are all in love the moments she c...
aptured. Before the wedding she was always available for emails, phone calls and even person to person meetings.
During the big day she was a member of the party who made work seem like fun. She even tagged along to the afterparty to catch my new husband literally dancing on bar tables (hello coyote ugly). The photos of our big day are timeless and radiate the authenticity and joy of each person in them.
I consider Annie to be a creative genius, loving person and dear friend.
Annie is SO AMAZING. I will be singing her praises for the rest of my life. No joke. Her talent is next level and her warm spirit is out of this world. We never once felt unsure ab...
out choosing her as our photographer for our wedding. She tells this story with her photos that you don't normally see when it comes to traditional wedding photography. Her photos capture so much feeling and energy and love! They told not only our story, but the stories we shared with friends and family.
We met with her a LONG time ahead of the wedding and she was so helpful and upfront about the whole process. She told us to make sure we shopped around before just going all in on her and I really appreciate that she encouraged that. (I'll be honest that after seeing her work and meeting her, there was no competition.)
She is SO professional and so easy to work with. We trusted her to do whatever she wanted and she delivered and then some. She got along great with all our vendors! All of our friends and family were seriously amazed with our engagement and wedding photos. Our photos were so vibrant and full of energy and they had never really seen photos from a documentary style photographer before. We had a blast working with her and wish we could have a whole other wedding just to find an excuse to hang out with her for 12 hours straight.
Annie Bang is the best. Not only a fantastic person, but an artist who will capture your day as it happens like no one else could. Honestly, we found her on this very site before a...
venue was picked or anything. We knew right away we loved her way of seeing the world through her lens. You cannot go wrong with her. She is gave us the gift of not only the wedding, but engagement pictures that capture a specific time in our life together that will forever be treasured. She is highly creative, but also documentary style. Do yourself a favor and reach out to her. You will be grateful for it.
Annie Bang! Is not only a fantastic photographer, artistically, she’s also a fantastic person! She is so personal. Even before we booked her, she met me in person for a consultatio...
n. She asked about me, my now husband, and my vibe. It’s important you like your photographer who will be all up in your ugly cry face and following you in various undressed states. We definitely like Annie Bang! If you’re looking for amazing, fun, and emotional photos, then book Annie. Some guests didn’t realize Annie was even taking photos of them until they saw finished photos. Annie is so covert and quick. She’s probably a ninja or spy on the side. We also had posed family photos per family request,so, she can do those traditional ones too. But her candid documentary style is the best!
Annie Bang was the best wedding photographer for our wedding! My then-fiancé and I were searching for a photographer for our wedding last year. We wanted images that were going to...
be artistic, beautiful, and most importantly, be capturing real moments. I came across Annie on one of the wedding websites and her work online exemplifies all these qualities and much more.
We love her documentary-style approach. I didn’t want anything too staged or formal. So I reached out to Annie and we met for coffee. She has a great personality and I could clearly see she loves her work and weddings! In addition to creating great work, Annie, herself is a warm and genuine person.
Annie laid out exactly what the costs were and what it could potentially be, so there were no surprises. But the biggest surprise (which it shouldn’t have been — if I think about Annie) is the presentation, professionalism, and handling of her business.
We ordered pictures as well as a wedding album. And I was blown away by her care and attention to details. Annie is a truly thoughtful and loving person who is on top of things and that permeates throughout in her work! Thank you for all you’ve done Annie!
One of the best decisions we made was hiring Annie as our photographer, from our first meeting to final product she was fabulous! We are so thankful for her artistic eye as well as...
her professionalism. She was fun and friendly and made us comfortable with the process as she shared our vision of not having overly posed and staged photography. Her candid photo journalist style completely resonated with us and she helped tell the story of our day through photos. The end result was breathtaking and we are forever thankful for Annie. Many of our guests commented that they didn't even notice us having a photographer, the end product showed, Annie was everywhere! Thank you Annie for truly capturing our day!
I would give Annie six stars if I could! Our wedding was made so much more perfect because of Annie, and we're left with priceless photos that perfectly capture the uniqueness of u...
s, our wedding, and our guests. We still talk about how hiring Annie was the best choice we made for our wedding.
We loved Annie from our first conversation with her. She was fun and friendly, while impressing us with her professionalism -- she was so organized and patient with us! We also found her to be very experienced in so many ways. She had photographed in so many locations and venues including ours (La Venta), and had great suggestions for us without coming across pushy at all.
Artistically speaking, we loved the candid style of photos that Annie takes. She'll of course take the shots that you request, but she also adapts to the environment and the people. She'll blend into the crowd so that there isn't any chance of guests being awkward or camera shy. The result is an amazing set of photos that really capture the feeling of the day.
Thank you Annie!!!
Annie Bang is THE BEST. Her work is amazing, she's the perfect combination of funny/sweet/sincere, she commanded my unruly family like a boss and made my large family photos happen...
, and I would trust any important event in my life to be captured perfectly by her.
The Beginning - I found her randomly online at the WPJA after I had already hired a different photographer that my venue recommended, and after seeing her photos, called my photographer and broke up with them. As an architect bride (let's just say bridezill-architect), I have a very specific eye for what I like in photography and I had plans for engagement shots and our wedding happening at beautiful pieces of architecture. I also had no plans for hiring a videographer because to me photos are everything, so I knew I needed someone that would be able to capture moments while being able to frame and photograph these architectural pieces of art in a way that they deserved. A tall order... So after a handful of emails (through which i fell in love with Annie) we met over ramen (so dreamy) and talked food, turkeys, and photography. We hired her for an initial test engagement session at the Los Angeles Walt Disney Concert Hall by Frank Ghery and The Broad Museum by Dillar Scofidio + Renfro to test out her architectural engagement photography. A couple weeks later, she sent the images and I almost left my fiance for Annie right then. I couldn't believe she was so cool AND so talented. The real package. The images were GORGEOUS. She did a mix of photos focusing on us with the architecture in the background and ones focusing on the buildings that "just happened" to have us in them. AMAZING. (sorry for so much CAPS). After this, we hired her for our wedding day and no longer questioned her capabilities.
After a few work visits to scout the locations, and multiple friend food dates, we fast-forward to W-Day. She's a photographer ninja that you hardly see and can also be commanding like a 4 star general when she needs to be. She outdid herself. She captured moments of friends, my family acting a fool on the dance floor, me looking like an elegant goddess (which is kind of hard to do), so much laughter, so many smiles, the Wayfarers Chapel the way Lloyd Wright (maybe even Frank Lloyd Wright) would have wanted, the beautiful grounds and views of the La Venta Inn, details, scenery, and everyone having as much fun as I remember. After our wedding, our family and friends also fell in love with Annie.
Since then, my brother hired her for his wedding, my friends hired her for theirs, and my dad is planning on hiring her for his party. Like I said before, If you have an event that you need to put your trust into someone to make sure they're capturing it so you can be worry free, trust Annie Bang. I trust her with my photography life forever.
Annie is absolutely amazing. She's extremely responsive and helpful in the planning phase, and is super friendly to boot! My husband and I are both pretty awkward posing in front o...
f a camera, and she was able to capture such beautiful candid photos of us and our guests. She really is a ninja, which we loved, since we absolutely hate the "stop what you're doing, now smile!" experience we've had with most photographers.
I could not recommend a photographer any higher than I recommend Annie. She makes the experience so personal; she became a friend. My mother-in-law even asked us if she was one of our friends she hadn't met before, because Annie made a point to learn our family members' names and used them to organize our (very few) posed family pictures.
Every time I look at our wedding pictures, I relive that amazing day all over again. Annie is the best.
We adored Annie. She was one of the first vendors we brought on for our wedding and she was helpful throughout the whole process. Always on top of everything and great to work with...
. Plus, and most importantly, the photos are great. She has a real sense of narrative and each picture really tells the story of our event. Since our own wedding was such a blur, we could look back on Annie's pics and finally know what happened. Pretty invaluable. We highly recommend hiring her for your event.
Annie is an amazing photographer and person! From the first meeting, Annie was warm, kind and professional. We sought her out because of her gorgeous portfolio of documentary style...
photography. We didn’t want formal portraits, but did want someone who could capture the story of our event. Her pricing structure was affordable and straightforward - especially considering the quality of her work. We were able to order a la carte based on the services that we needed and once I saw examples of the albums she had put together for other couples, we ordered one of those as well. Every step of the way, Annie was there to explain exactly what the services included and to show us plenty of in-person examples of her work.
Annie went out of her way to make every guest at our event comfortable and we received so many compliments about Annie from family and friends alike. She even came out with us to our after party at an arcade bar. We loved having her there and we can’t wait to see the results!
If I could give a million stars, I would. I found Annie Bang through endless internet searching for the perfect wedding photographer. My husband and I can be extremely awkward peop...
le, and neither of us particularly enjoy having our photo taken, so I knew I wanted someone with a photojournalist style that would capture us candidly without having to think about setting photos up. As one of my friends later commented on a photo she took, we found a unicorn in Annie Bang. She worked as hard as she could to help us feel at home both with her and in front of the camera beforehand, giving us tips, sending us articles, getting to know us enough to joke around and make us feel more comfortable. She is one of the kindest, most genuine people I've ever met, you just want to be around her. Her communication was always excellent and timely, she arrived early to the wedding, made all the obligatory family photos as quick and painless as possible, and in six weeks we got the most magical group of photos we have ever seen. Annie pours her soul into the photos, and it's obvious. She manages to see exactly what you want her to see but can't describe, and she captures it on film. When I look back at the photos, she got every one of the moments that my heart melted, and you can see it all over my face. The artistry is incredible, capturing moments where it looks like chandeliers are floating, or mid spin where it almost seems to move as you watch. We can flip through and remember every glorious moment of the night in perfectly edited technicolor. I can not recommend her enough, honestly. If you want someone who will capture your day not just the way you saw it, but the way you felt it, call Annie Bang. Best decision we could have made.
After meeting with Annie for the first time, my husband and I knew we had to book her. She has such a delightful personality - so energetic and kind. Working with her was such a ...
breeze! She always gave her honest opinion, which was so helpful because my husband and I had no idea what we were doing with the whole planning process. On the big day, she navigated my giant 270-person wedding with such ease. I was a little nervous that the family portraits would be hectic because I have such a large family, but she directed everyone so well and everyone loved her! Family portraits tend to get tedious and dragged out, but she kept people smiling and energy levels high.
We just got our photos back (so fast!), and we absolutely love them. If you go to her website, the photos speak for themselves. Annie is an amazing storyteller, and she captured our wedding day perfectly. My husband and I are able to re-live all the excitement, jitters, and moments of pure joy from her beautiful photos. She even captured some moments that we didn't know she was there for! We can't thank her enough for the great work she did and highly recommend her for any important event. We will be enjoying her photos for years to come!
Annie was really awesome! My husband and I decided to wed about 4 months before the actual date and because of our rush, it was a nightmare to find a wedding photographer. We were ...
so lucky to find Annie and we couldn't have asked for someone better. Even with our budget constraints, she was able to give us such wonderful photos. Not only did my husband and I loved her, our families did too. She is the type of photographer that wants to get to know you and because of this quality, she is able to provide you with what you want. My husband and I would definitely recommend her because not only is she an awesome photographer, she is an awesome person too!
Working with Annie as my photographer was one of my favorite parts of planning my wedding. From the beginning she was so sweet and easy to talk to. She offered to meet me wherever ...
was convenient for me everytime we had to meet up. She also was very descriptive in the style of photography she does which was very helpful to ensure we had the same vision(non cheesy!). The day of my wedding she was so comforting to me around and extremely helpful(as was her assistant). My photos and album came out absolutely beautiful. I feel lucky to have had her as part of my team that day!
Our experience with Annie Bang Photography was just phenomenal and far exceeded our expectations! We hired her to photograph our wedding on the beach. Quality is a rare gem and w...
hen you find it, you're so grateful to have been so lucky. We met beforehand to discuss our vision and to get to know her a bit so she could capture our personalities on the occasion. We felt so comfortable with Annie. She was easy to talk to and to discuss important matters with. She really wants to capture your event and make your day as unique and special to you as you know it should be. She was so lovely, very personable and friendly. She's got a fantastic eye and captured things we didn't even know she was seeing. Her professionalism made the process go smoothly. She outlines everything so there are no surprises and she is not the type that would ever try to spring something on you, without a doubt very trustworthy. We are a same-sex couple and needed to find someone of quality who was also comfortable with who we are. This was not a problem for her at all. Annie was very comfortable with us and sees love as love. She was even gracious enough to tackle the task of including pictures of our dogs on our big day. She was enthusiastic and you can tell how much she loves what she does. We can't say enough about her. She's flexible, a joy to work with, and creates a stunning work of art.
Annie was fantastic to work with and her pictures exceeded my (very high) expectations. When we started wedding planning, Annie was at the top of our budget (although she’s very re...
asonable for wedding photography) but we loved her work so much we went for it. She graciously worked within the budget we had and was really generous and easy to communicate with.
The day of the wedding she was prompt, personable and so much fun! I had multiple guests mention to me how hard-working and charming Annie and her assistant were. They were a perfect combination of keeping a low profile while somehow managing to be everywhere at once which is no small task for a wedding of 250. And the pictures! Out of this world. They caught REAL little moments that meant the world to me, like skyping with my grandfather or my parents cracking up at a toast. The pictures were all beautifully composed and full of emotion. Her fantastic eye allowed me to revisit the day and I think I cried more looking at the photos then I did at the wedding. Also, she’s just super fun and easy to communicate with which is huge. She really listened to me about my priorities and worked with us within our budget. I couldn’t be happier with her services.
Selecting Annie was probably one of the best choices we made for our special day. We had two ceremonies and a reception all in one day. She was there from the beginning (4 a.m.) t...
o the very end ( 11:00 p.m.). I could feel that she genuinely cared about my wedding, even though she probably does this every weekend. Photographers are with you the whole day and you don't get that interaction with any other vendor so having fun and feeling relaxed with them is so important. With Annie’s outgoing/bubbly personality it was almost as if she became a part of the bridal party. She caught candid expressions and was able to capture all the important parts of both ceremonies.
We had taken some engagement pictures before the wedding and during that time she did a great job of capturing our personalities and she remembered all the things that I had mentioned that were important to me. She remembered those things I was self-conscious about and was sure to pose us in a way which made me feel most comfortable... without me having to remind her! Even though it was a bit last minute, she made sure to edit some of the pictures for us very quickly so we could use them during the reception.
We liked her so much, that I've decided to have Annie do some family photo's for my sister. :)
You won't go wrong with making the same decision with Annie as I did.
Annie is a world-class photographer and person. It's rare to find that mix of incredible talent and a warm loving personality. As a coordinator, communication is critical and Annie...
was responsive, open, flexible, and worked incredibly well with my clients. If you want that documentary-photography feel for your wedding, you will not be disappointed when you book Annie!
Working with Annie Bang as a wedding photographer was truly enjoyable. From our initial discussions and interviews with her, to the several pre-shoot “get-to-know-you” chats we had...
, to the actual shoot itself, through to receiving our beautiful photos, Annie made us feel like we were in the care of a professional at all times. We did not meet in person until the day of our wedding shoot, but Annie made herself available through Skype. In fact, we spoke with Annie via Skype on two different occasions -- once to get to know her style, and second after she’d reviewed some of our proposed locations to go over the shoot schedule. Annie asked thoughtful questions about what we wanted and was open and truthful about what she could do. Annie also took a keen interest in us as individuals and as a couple, which we thought came through in the final product. Annie really does take care to get to know the people whose wedding she is photographing. We held a small outdoor ceremony near Santa Barbara, and we were looking for a photographer that would capture more than posed moments and provide us with an honest and fulsome account of the day and all of our guests.
On the day of the actual shoot, Annie and her assistant, Janey, did a great job staging some beautiful shots around Santa Barbara prior to the ceremony. To our pleasant surprise, Annie had also taken the time to scout the locations ahead of time and thus knew some of the best spots. Annie has a good eye and did not waste time trying this or that. When she saw something she knew could work, she put us into action! She is funny and calm, and not afraid to tell you when your pose is awkward. As a result, we ended up with several hundred beautiful photographs from a two hour shoot in three locations. Once it was time for the ceremony and reception, to be honest I forgot Annie was there. But when we saw the photographs afterwards, it was clear she had been very busy running around grabbing all of our guests in excellent candid shots - we have amazing photos from all different viewpoints and of all the guests present.
Annie got the final photos back to us with an excellent presentation, both online and with a special personalized digital media drive. This was a very nice personal touch!
In sum, we could not be more pleased with Annie’s photographs, her personal attention, and her professionalism. She made the wedding photo experience far more fun than stressful, and she is highly recommended!
Warning: I was born and raised in LA and I admit I can be a bit shallow at times. :)

l the actual wedding story; I'm a lot bigger than I'd like to be and my now husband really is getting older. When I first met Annie for a consultation, I told her that I was looking for a photographer that could tell the story I wanted to tell: I'm not overweight and my husband is not losing his hair. (Just being honest. Pictures are the only things that tell the truth in the end right?! LOL! :P)
When I got my wedding photos, I couldn't believe Annie's magic! She really made us look good without compromising the story of our wedding day. She was so easy to work with and seriously she's a lot of fun too. She is flexible with her style of photos. She took candid shots as well as "perfectly-posed" photos. I loved the mix of styles. I've been to a few weddings where the photographers were really visible and I was worried about that too, but Annie took great photos without being in the way. I didn't notice her or her team during the whole event. She is very friendly and easy going. All of my guests were raving about how good she was at getting the crowd excited and I felt the same way. I am totally planning on asking her to shoot family photos as soon as we are pregnant and when our baby is born. I would highly recommend her for any occasion and I would have paid double to have such an artist shoot my wedding!
