her photographs on my Instagram feed from a friend's wedding, and I'm so glad that we booked her for our special day!
During the planning process, Annie scheduled virtual calls to get to know us and our vision for the wedding. She also helped with planning our timeline and made two versions (one with the first look and one without the first look since we were still debating which route we wanted to go), and she recommended our day-of-coordinator, who was amazing and worked really well with all of our vendors! We also did our engagement photos with Annie, which I highly recommend since you get to meet her in-person and have a "practice run" before the big day. We loved our engagement photos so much that we actually used them to create the sign-in book for our wedding!
On the day of the wedding, Annie and her second photographer arrived on time and jumped right in to capturing all the details of our day. Annie provided pose suggestions and prompts, which helped provide direction for our wedding party, but also captured organic moments throughout the day. She also made a list of photos that I wanted (ex. At specific locations within our venue, certain poses, group photos, etc) and wrangled family members into huge family portraits (one had 41 people in it!). We also had rain on our wedding day, and Annie was on top of the hourly weather forecast and made timeline suggestions to make sure that we got the outdoor photos we wanted.
Annie brought a laid-back and calm energy to what can be a very hectic and stressful day, and she took everything in stride (ex. Day-of photo requests, inclement weather, loud bagpipers). Her team was also very efficient, and we ended up ahead of schedule, which allowed us to get a little break before walking down the aisle. A few days after the wedding, she gave a us a "preview" of some wedding photos to share and post while we waited for our full album. Overall, I was very impressed with Annie and would recommend her to future couples!

She was SO helpful, and my day would not have been smooth without her. One of my favorite things about Annie is she does not hesitate to tell you how to pose, or tell you when you’re posing wrong. She really knows her stuff and how to make sure she captures every photo you ask for. She met with us a couple times before the big day to make sure she got to know us (we opted not to do engagement photos) and know what was important to us. Annie is also starting wedding videography and we’re so glad she did our video. My husband and I had only ever wanted photos but Annie’s video truly blew us away! She went above and beyond. We loved that her photos and colors are so true to life and don’t come across as heavily filtered making them seem too dark or overly lightened as we saw from some others. Annie was totally flexible and adaptable as we, like all 2020 couples, had to re-evaluate our initial wedding plans. We changed our plans from a formal church ceremony and reception to an intimate ceremony in Hocking Hills. We had a blast hiking through Hocking Hills to find a good spot for photos and Annie was totally down with making a bunch of stops to get different backdrops from around the park. The day after the wedding, my sister asked me what my favorite part of the day was (umm…so many!) but one of my highlights was the time spent with Annie getting the shots from around Hocking Hills. I asked my husband the same question later that day and the photography was the first thing he thought of. Coming from him (who doesn’t like taking pictures), it says a lot about how much fun Annie is to work with and her passion for what she does. Annie took a leap halfway through 2020 and made photography her full-time endeavor.
