Just recently, we showed all our photos with family over the holidays and everyone relieved the happy times and everyone commented how wonderful the photos turned out. Annie has a way of capturing the best moments, to be everywhere all at once and yet be invisible at the same time! Her professionalism from the first day we met her until she delivered the photographs (and she delivered the photos much sooner than expected!), Annie Hall was one of the best vendors we worked with. She shared full galleries with us before making a decision, help us figure out the best photo package for our needs without, followed up with clear emails and processes throughout, listened to our needs and preferences, and on the day of the wedding, was one of the hardest working folks out there! She was everywhere and didn't seem to stop to take photos of all the moments. Annie worked very well with us, our families and friends, and other vendors which made for a smooth and fun wedding and it shows in the photographs! If you're hesitating because of costs, I highly recommend to cut costs elsewhere and hire Annie as soon as possible because she gets booked up quickly! My only regret was not having her at our rehearsal dinner and other pre-wedding events. Don't make the same mistake, get Annie Hall as your photographer today!

And she also was a pleasure to work with throughout the planning process—she’s responsive, punctual, and organized. We also highly recommend doing an engagement session with her. We never felt too posed, Annie just always seemed to be in the right place at the right time. She was flexible, helping us meet all our goals (so many family portraits!) but also have fun! My husband notoriously hates having his photo taken and even he had a good time with Annie at the helm. p of the process. This made it so easy and stress free. My (now husband) and I initially had a wedding planned 4 weeks after the first lockdown for Covid began. Annie was in constant communication with us and extremely understanding. She worked with us to reschedule after we finally realized lockdown was not going to be let up. Even though we had to reschedule after she adjusted her base pricing, she kept ours at our original quote. I can not say enough about our photos. If you want to remember all the details of your day as is I would not hire anyone else. I will get to look back and be reminded of all the small things that happened. I even have a picture of eating a slice of pizza with my dad after getting my hair done. I love it because this was a small moment he got to spend with me and tell me how happy he is for me and that knows my marriage will be better than pizza. He isn’t a sentimental man so it is a moment I will be able to reflect on every time I see that picture. Annie truly captures memories. I am beyond happy we found her.

She helped us a lot in making our timeline, was thoughtful about making sure we were never rushed, and ensured we had time to decompress alone which was very important to us. On the day she was calming, unobtrusive, and put everyone at ease. I cannot speak enough to how happy we were with the photos that she captured. She did a great job keeping track of and making sure we got all the posed family/wedding party photos that we asked for. They were really emotional for me to look at, and I knew that that same eye and feeling would translate to wedding photography...and I did see it when I looked! Annie's style is non-invasive and observational so that nothing is faked and everything is organic. and special moments, and a body of work that truly captured the way our day moved and felt. We knew we wanted a documentary-style photographer for our wedding and were considering a few when we came across Annie’s portfolio. One thing that stood out to us immediately is that her photos have a lot of energy and dynamism — they almost feel alive. We scheduled a consult with her and immediately felt comfortable with her and like we could be ourselves, even through Zoom. The only reservation we had is that she came across a bit quiet, borderline shy, and we wondered whether she would be able to corral people as needed on the big day. The answer was yes. She did a great job with the few (but important) staged group shots we wanted. And the rest of the time her quieter demeanor ended up being a major strength; in looking at the photos after the wedding, we (and our parents, wedding party, and some guests) said time and again, “I don’t even remember her being there in that moment!” She really blended in, in the best possible way. Outside of the formal portraits, not once did she stage a shot, ask people to pose, interrupt a conversation, etc. She just quietly watched and witnessed, capturing everything with a keen eye, excellent sense of timing, and a lot of patience. And I absolutely love what she captured: everything from tender, emotional, cherished moments to what other photographers might have considered “bloopers” and not even shown us (such as a picky eater perplexed by an appetizer, kids rolling around on the lobby floor, or my uncle dozing during the speeches). We will forever treasure the photos Annie and her second photographer, Mary, took of our wedding. They are more and better than our wildest dreams, and our only problem will be choosing which ones to frame! (What an excellent problem to have!) And she was just as great with the non-photo stuff: she was a clear and prompt communicator; booking, contract-signing, and payment were all through an easy online portal; and she delivered previews, a slideshow, and the full gallery way faster than we’d imagined. I’d hire her again in a heartbeat for any special-occasion photography, and highly recommend her to everyone.

Our photos are spectacular - everyone is blown away by them - they truly captured how the day felt to us and feel so true to us and to the event. I did a lot of research on photographers. My partner and I were not crazy about much of what we saw coming into the process --- we have low tolerance for posing or what we personally find to be excessive styling (though in the end we wanted to take a limited number of portraits and treasure them now - they came out beautifully and are really special which is in part because the process of taking them was fun and relaxing with Annie, so the short session felt like a sweet part of the day and is a nice memory now - the last moments before we were married); but overall we didn't want to spend the day thinking about how we / it was being captured. When we saw her photos we knew her style was what we were looking for both in terms of the documentary - style candids and her editing preferences in terms of color balance. We loved her style coming into the process but I can't even tell you how incredible and different it is to see her photos when they are *you*; reflecting something so personal to you. I am tearing up just thinking about how much I love our wedding photos. Also - Annie is incredibly professional; instantly responsive & communicative about various questions that arose leading up to the wedding; and she turned the photos around after the event FAST. She's remarkably stealthy - multiple friends and family mentioned that she was 'everywhere but nowhere' - she was definitely everywhere because it's ALL there, but she has an uncanny ability to camouflage into the crowd and it *really* comes through in the authenticity of expression that she captures - this is definitely part of her magic. And she's such a nice person, we just adored working with her on a personal level too. We feel so lucky that we were able to hire someone with such a distinct perspective as Annie's to capture our wedding and can't recommend working with her more highly!!

My husband does not like to be in the spotlight and can be awkward in photos. Annie made everyone feel comfortable and nabbed fantastic photos where everyone looked great--and she was very discreet while shooting. My family still talks about how great she was to work with. On top of all that, the photos she delivered were stunning! We got back so many wonderful shots. s that are delivered to you quickly, look no further! We were originally getting married in May but were forced to postpone our wedding after COVID19 hit. Annie reached out to us immediately in the spring to reassure us that she would be willing to reschedule to accommodate us during these trying times. When we ultimately canceled our wedding, Annie was again flexible and agreed to just a couples’ session for the two of us. A few weeks before the session, she reached out to coordinate the schedule for the day and the shooting locations. We really appreciated her expertise: she helped us pick locations based on our photo preferences while creating a schedule that wouldn’t be too hectic for the three of us to manage. The day unfolded perfectly. Annie has a really comfortable and unobtrusive presence, and it was easy for me and my husband to relax around her for candid photos. Occasionally, Annie would give some suggestions for poses and things to do while we were standing around, but it didn’t feel forced. In fact, thankfully they came when we were running out of ideas as well, and from the photos, it’s clear she knows what has worked well before! Though we only had her booked for 7 hours, Annie generously stayed for longer and continued taking pictures of us until dark and never focused on the clock during the session. My husband and I were so happy with Annie's photos – we ordered several prints from her and recommend others do the same. The quality is much better compared to your usual online printing services. Thank you so much, Annie, for being there that day. We can't recommend her enough!

A few things that really stood out: 1) Annie is great at making people feel comfortable taking photos. Neither my husband or I are naturals in front of the camera so it was really wonderful she was able to guide us through the posed shots. I always felt like she had a vision or ideas what she was looking for in the photograph and it was honestly a lot of fun. We had lots of laughs that day. 2) She puts in the effort and has great attention to detail. She actually visited the site before the actual day to scout good locations for photographs. That was deeply appreciated as she knew exactly where to go and we didn't end up wasting time wandering around. There were some really beautiful shots she got of the building's architecture from several floors up - the photography was vivid and highlighted the beautiful lines and curves the building. She has the eye for both overall shot but also smaller details - like ex: is there hair in your face that needs to be removed. 3) She's really fast. We were so impressed we got our photographs in less than week. It was a really nice surprise since we didn't anticipate being able to share them in person with my husband's parents who were still in town. She's also very prompt in email which is very much appreciated. 4) She's about the experience and not just the money. This is a loaded statement since I feel my experience working with a lot of people in the wedding industry is a lot of vendors seem more focused on the business aspect of it and forget the human component. I really appreciated about how Annie worked with us... ex: she wasn't counting the time to the minute. We paid for a certain amount of time but we actually met up a little earlier and she was willing to stay a little after to shoot some additional shots I requested outside of the building. She felt like a friend who happened to be photographing and we never felt rushed. Everything felt very organic and personal and it shows in the photographs. She got some really wonderful, authentic shots of our vows. I don't even remember her taking the photographs, but she captured all of the important moments and reactions.

Annie was efficient and professional, showed up on time, helped coordinate a "first look" that utilized her familiarity with the venue, and as promised, she was discreet yet managed to be everywhere at once. I look at some photos with surprise because I don't even remember her being there, but she was! My husband was also very impressed by Annie on our wedding day. After the wedding, she delivered a slideshow earlier than expected as well as the final photos earlier than expected. I look at the photos and I am able to relive the magic of my wedding day. I can see why she chose each of the photos that she did, and overall, the collection is magical. If you want carefully staged photos "for the sake of a pretty picture", Annie may not be for you. evoke so much emotion and take you back. Like many of you, we got many good recommendations, and it was hard to choose. Then, someone who coordinates weddings for a living said to make sure to check out Annie Hall because Annie's photos made her cry. And this woman has seen a LOT of weddings and even more wedding pictures. Annie was surprised when I told her who recommended her, so it was definitely an honest "I love her work" recommendation! What stood out in Annies portfolio was that that I could almost "feel" I was there too. We wanted photos that would transport us back to our wedding day many years from now. Plus, my husband and I are not big posers.There are so many good photographers out there who can take pretty pictures, but so happy I trusted my gut and went with Annie! I've seen our pics a million times, and I STILL notice a new detail or someone's facial expression that I haven't noticed before. I would love to find out to know how she knows when a beautiful moment is about to happen and press the shutter... without having to say to us to hold a pose or stage it. Now that is TALENT. She was just really a fly in the wall, but was always willing to be grabbed for a group shot too! Oh, and I highly recommend the storyteller album. The quality of the photos is just impeccabl! Worth the splurge :)

d peace of mind. Photographs are one of of the few takeaways from the wedding that will still be around 20 years from now, so we were very picky. We wanted photographers with a both a good personality (no drama here!) and good eye for style. (We definitely wanted to avoid the cliched, sepia-toned, off-centered, Instagram-filtered look.) Advice: Get the second shooter. You'll get much more variety in shots, particularly as groom and bride get ready in separate locations. We didn't get the album but it looked to be high quality. Before the day of the wedding, schedule a call with Annie and run through the day's events and layout of the venue. Communication is important and will help the photographers plan for shots in advance.

husband and I feel privileged that she was available and willing to photograph our wedding. Annie never once posed us or told us how to look, what to do, etc. This was refreshing and made the day seem like less of a production. We got to be ourselves, and our photos reflect events and moments that actually happened. Nothing was staged. We absolutely love looking at our photos and knowing that they are an honest reflection of our wedding day. Annie put together a great slideshow for us, just several days after the wedding, and we’ve watched it at least 30 times by now. When we share it with our family members they tear up because her photos do such a wonderful job of conveying the spirit and importance of the day. Though we had a tiny budget for our wedding, we decided we would prioritize the photography no matter what. We were referred to Annie by a friend, and I fell in love instantly with her work when we checked out her website. That’s when we threw caution to the wind and said screw the budget (which truly was ill-informed, anyway). We are so glad we made this decision and I urge all my friends now to splurge on a photographer whose work they love. Our photos are absolutely beautiful and we are very grateful.

Over time we became confident that a photojournalistic approach was ideal for our wedding and looked for Bay Area vendor that shoot in this style. After stumbling upon Annie's website, we were quickly enamored with her portfolio and knew we have found the right person! All of the engagement, wedding, and family photographs looked like timeless pieces of art, ones that we knew would retain their elegance many decades after our wedding. The final decision to go with Annie Hall came after meeting her over a video call and realizing that we had a lot in common in terms of temperament, age, and activities. We were certain that we could easily work with this person on the day of our wedding. This was further simplified with Annie's hands off approach -- we did not verbally interact with her during most of the events as she has the vision to capture natural moments of family members laughing with joy, a sneak kiss between the bride and groom, or a playful brawl at the cocktail bar between excited guests. They are the most precious to me because that day went by so quickly and I miss these moments running in between changing rooms and the dancing floor. Her work captured a lot of details at the wedding. A lot of wedding photos out there captured the bride and groom and their pose in beautiful scenery. Well, to me and my husband, we loved the "action shots" that Annie took because they don't look staged and shiny. Annie is based in California and we flew her to New York. Because of the odd time slot we have for the wedding and transportation logistics, she actually stayed longer than what's in our contract. We really appreciated her professionalism and enjoyed her and her boyfriend (the second shooter) being there. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who appreciates honest and simple yet elegant style.

Annie Hall is the very definition of professional. Working with her was like a dream. She is there to help with every question, and provide honest insight. She made the entire process simple and enjoyable. Prior to working with Annie Hall, I had a small wedding ceremony with immediate family, and there was a "professional" photographer present. He was incredibly awkward, forcing poses and he refused to turn his flash off even after the priest ask him to turn off the flash. Annie Hall was a breath of fresh air. She was very attentive to my needs after having listened to my horror story. She made sure her work was matching the vision I had for the wedding. The photos she captures show the honest emotions from the wedding, and they are inherently more meaningful. The candid nature of Annie Hall's work transports you to that special day and everything you experienced. Words can't describe how special that is. I absolutely prefer being photographed candidly. I'll be honest, I did learn I tend to make some pretty unattractive facial expressions when I'm not paying attention, but that's part of what makes the style extra special. It's honest, and you get to experience a wide variety of emotions. When everyone is perfectly posed looking at the camera and smiling nicely, you're missing so much personality, there is no sense of reality. It doesn't have that beauty from the authenticity that you get from candid photography. Annie Hall is hands down the best photographer in the cosmos!

She had an uncanny ability to capture every moment without getting in our way and asking us to repose, and when I received my photos, not only were they beautiful and flattering, but they also allowed me to relive every detail as it happened. She was also very flexible and in how she dealt with our wedding. My husband and I decided not to eat during our lunch reception, since we wanted to spend time with all of our guests. Annie likewise happily chose to starve (temporarily) as she followed us around the entire time. Also, she was very willing to provide us with an engagement session, a post-wedding bridal portrait session, and she was very accommodating with my family, who are not the easiest of people to work with. She really had an understanding of the feeling and mood we wanted for our wedding, and her photos reflected them perfectly. Also, my husband is normally very awkward in front of cameras, but with Annie, her cheerful personality made him very comfortable, and it showed in the photos that were taken. Needless to say, I was jumping up and down with excitement when I saw the first photos of us posted online, and everyone I showed the photos to also couldn't help but be amazed by the quality of photos. Annie is really a world-class photographer who is just starting out, and so she is worth every penny and more! I would recommend her in a heartbeat, and I will definitely give her contact to any friends of mine who will be getting married in the future! to hire a personal friend who is a professional photographer but she couldn't make it and after seeing Annie's work I'm almost glad she couldn't! The photos really show the nights the way they were meant to be remembered. She was very accommodating too! We had the wedding and reception on separate days, in separate cities and she had no problems with our schedule. I would recommend Annie to anyone looking for a photographer for any event.

The process was the most seamless relationship of all of our wedding vendors. Our wedding was literally the best day of our lives and she captured every special moment. Annie has an impeccable eye and really took the time to understand our aesthetics and capture everything we wanted and more. When we got our photos, I was amazed at how well she captured the mood of the night and so many moments that I missed! I would definitely recommend her to anyone-- although many of our friends/family took the initiative and asked for her information already!

e's newer to her career, but has a clear vision, an excellent portfolio, a clear perspective, and a mastery of her craft. Throughout the planning process, Annie provided useful information, and was very responsive to our questions, it was a breeze to do business with her. What we most loved about Annie's work, is her documentary style. She manages to capture the moments of the day, not just the events, but the feelings. You get a real sense of time, and place, emotions, and relationships from her photos. We liked her blend into the background approach - on the day of we almost forgot she was there. This is especially true with the "getting ready" part of the day, where she never interrupted, or tired to stage us, but still got all the good shots. Our photos are absolutely stunning. We've received so many compliments from folks, and we're beyond thrilled with the product. The only critical comment that I'd make, is that I wish Annie (or someone) had helped us to make sure we were not mussed during our formal portraits. There are a few where my husband's hair is doing something really strange, then mine in a few others. To be clear, these things would absolutely not make me hesitate to hire her again (something we've already discussed for future important events), but you might want to designate a family member, or bridal party member to give you hair and makeup checks.
