We came across Annie Hosfeld on the Knot, and couldn’t help but be impressed with her stunning photographs. But once we spoke with Annie we realized that, not only is she a talented photographer, but she is also a wonderful person as well! Annie is kind and thoughtful, and takes the time to get to know the personalities of her bride and groom. Annie makes it a priority to realize the vision of the couple she is photographing. She is very thorough and organized – on wedding day she exuded calmness and serenity to all in the wedding party, while still keeping our schedule on time and brainstorming creative photo ideas on the spot! We couldn’t have had a better person than Annie as our wedding photographer, and we feel so very grateful that she was with us on such a special day. Anyone would be lucky to have Annie as their photographer!

Annie is absolutely THE BEST! She was consistently professional, conscientious, and considerate of what was important to us. Her attention to detail helped us feel so comfortable and relaxed because we knew she was handling the timeline and what we said we are our priorities. We could not be happier with the results . She absolutely is the best. Our wedding was in March and she was so thoughtful as to where we could take the pictures outside so that we would have beautiful scenery despite the time of year; she went and checked out places on her own and got back to us. She’s obviously passionate about what she does, and it shows in her work. Best decision we made was hiring Annie!

Choosing Annie as our wedding photographer was probably one of the best decisions we made during our planning process. One of my friends had used her a few years ago and I just loved how she used the light in those photos. From the engagement session to the last shot of the night, Annie was a dream to work with. She finds the most beautiful locations in the most casual way. She makes you feel so comfortable and most importantly she makes what can be an awkward experience (I hate taking pictures) really fun. Her candid shots are my favorite and, true to form, the way she captured the beautiful fall light on our wedding day was worth every penny. She listened to every request and we couldn't be happier with the final results. I would recommend her enthusiastically to anyone looking for a great photographer.

Annie was really great to work with. She created a very comfortable ambiance, ensuring she captured wonderful memories. At the same time, she made sure we stuck to our itinerary since we had a lot of specific photos we wanted to get!

Annie was a dream to work with. My wife and I both weren’t sure what we wanted out of our photos, but Annie helped guide us through the process and the end result looks amazing. She provided us with a schedule before the day of the event and even called our respective parents to key them in on the process before the day of. Our wedding day ended up being extremely hot, making it difficult to walk around too far for our parents and a pregnant member of the wedding party. Annie was able to adjust on the fly to ensure everyone was still included. I can not recommend her enough!

I first met Annie as a bridesmaid in my friend’s wedding. When I got engaged and my husband and I started planning, I knew that I wanted him to meet her. He instantly knew she was a good fit as she helped us map out our day. We shared a love for taking pictures at Valley Forge after the ceremony. Annie was also extremely patient working with us in my childhood home, our church and our venue, all new locations for her! She was so patient and calm during every moment of the day. In looking at our pictures, we are eternally grateful for every aspect of our day being captured. The detail pictures are superior and nearly every person in our family and wedding party is smiling in all the photos. We are obsessed! Annie’s ability to identify the spots with the best lighting and capture it is just perfect! Her passion for weddings is so evident in every aspect of the day. Annie was terrific from Day 1 but when the pandemic hit and the world got turned upside down... Annie kept us going! She helped us think through our timeline... over and over again... as things changed. We ended up postponing our reception and just having a small ceremony and backyard wedding. Then our wedding coordinator retired right before our ceremony. No matter what popped up... Annie kept us on track! She made suggestions and was honest when she thought what I wanted was unrealistic given the timeframe. Since we will be having a 1 year anniversary reception this upcoming year, Annie worked with us to split our package so we could have coverage of everything! She is very knowledgeable and was a huge help with our planning. My husband is NOT a fan of pictures but she worked with him and we have some great shots that we will cherish forever!! I'm looking forward to working with Annie again in September 2021 to do it all over again with ALL of our friends and family!!

My husband and I got married in September 2020 and we are so thankful that Annie and her team photographed our wedding. We started working with Annie in September 2019 when she did an engagement photo session with us. The pictures were amazing and she really helped my husband and I become more comfortable with being in front of the camera. We were so excited and couldn't wait to work with Annie on our wedding day in 2020. Then Covid hit, and we weren't even sure our wedding would still happen. We kept in constant contact with Annie as the restrictions were changing week by week. By the beginning of August, we had a definitive answer and our wedding was on. From there, it was full steam planning ahead and Annie was absolutely fantastic. She gave us clear instructions on what we needed to do and what she needed from us before the wedding day. In that short amount of time, she created the most detailed timeline of the day, from who needed to be where at what time to what photographs were being taken when and where. On the day of the wedding, Annie and her team let the day unfold naturally but also kept everyone on track. They were calm, cool, and collected throughout the entire day/evening, captured incredibly special moments, and didn't miss a single detail. Not sure where to start....only to tell you that you were terrific!!!! Our few sneak peaks have already begun to capture the day!!! You were cool and calm and so pleasant to have by our side. Perhaps, the highest compliment of the day came from my son in law of 6 years - he told me you rocked! He said you were unobtrusive, gave instructions clearly and gently. We’ve all heard groomsmen complain about photographers being just the opposite and he has been in plenty of weddings! I knew when I met you, we had found the right one! Everything about working with Annie was fantastic, from our initial conversations to the day-of organization, and the ultimate product. My husband and I couldn’t have been happier with her and our families commented on how great she was with her very professionalism and tone. Annie is both committed to helping you have the pictures and event that you want (rather than imposing one on you) and is able to provide guidance and help based on her experience so you’ll get the most out of your time and pictures. She even quietly advocated for us with other vendors; for example, at a site visit when we were told we would not be able to enter the bridal suite until a time later than expected, she kindly and naturally checked if it was possible to get in earlier. I think Annie will work well with any couple, regardless of their style or vision; she’ll get it. Planning – Annie held a skype call with us to get a sense of what our style was, what type and who we wanted to focus on in our pictures. She assisted us in making a detailed timeline. Most vendors ask for a timeline, Annie’s was the one that was most useful and became our master. Her experience really shows and she’s able to help figuring out small details to make the most of your time. She attended our walk-through to get to know the place and asked questions of the vendor that I never thought about (and, as mentioned above, diplomatically advocated for us on occasion). Annie was always super organized and responsive. Day-of – Annie really stands out day of and many of our family members and guests commented about how great she was. She gets the pictures that you asked for (and the ones that she knows you’ll want) without being intrusive and is always friendly. She brought a second photography, which I believe is her practice, and he was great as well. Pictures – We are thrilled with the quality of our pictures. We looked at a number of photographers and really liked Annie’s style. She is serious about getting that quality you see in her portfolio at every event. My husband and I are not particularly into posed photos and Annie managed to get great shots of us looking natural, happy, and comfortable. Annie was so easy to work with, very responsive, and talented at her job. We were picky at the outset and were very happy with everyone we worked with, but Annie really stood out even among a group of great people.

Annie and her partner Devon photographed our August wedding. (We heard about her through the recommendation of another photographer - clearly she is respected in that circle!) We cannot praise her work enough. Our families and friends were absolutely "wowed" by the quality of, and moments captured in, her photos. She expertly navigated us through the pre-wedding planning to ensure that her time with us on the big day was maximized to capture the shots we wanted. On the wedding day, her professionalism really shined. She worked efficiently and purposefully while never becoming intrusive, letting moments unfold naturally while making sure to get all the shots we wanted. Quite simply, working with Annie was our favorite part of wedding planning. Aside from a few quick trips to Philly, we planned our wedding from across the country. After narrowing down photographers via their work, we went into the interview process looking for someone with whom we actually wanted to spend 9+ hours of one of the most special days of our life. (Indeed, some very talented photographers just won't jive with you, or leave you feeling that you're something other than a job). From our 1st hour-long video call with Annie, we both truly felt like we were talking with an old friend; she was warm, considerate, perceptive, insightful, attentive, empathetic and enthusiastic. She genuinely wanted to know who we were and what our aspirations were for our wedding. She immediately understood our vision for the lighting and mood of the space, and how that would be reflected in her photography. She was confident, caring, and invested in us. As our planning progressed we filled out some brief questionnaires, and discussed with her in person the types, quantities, and subject matters of the photos we most cared about for our wedding. She was extremely sensitive and poised about some possibly awkward group dynamics that we anticipated, and set up a clear plan for what we would do in best/worst case scenarios. And she was frankly the most reliable, upbeat, thoughtful and helpful vendor we had. She always went above and beyond for us. When we ran into a few challenges she was indispensable in helping us with some last minute vendor recommendations. We never felt like we were a number or just another client. And on our wedding day it was truly a joy to spend our time with her. She showed up slinging numerous cameras of varying types to capture different shots. She knew how to make us laugh, when to give us space, and how to gently but efficiently handle some of those weird dynamics and situations we anticipated might arise. She worked seamlessly with our other vendors and her incredible second photographer, Laurie. She worked tirelessly and presented us with an incredibly detailed reflection of our day- all that we experienced, and all that was happening around us as well! Annie beautifully captured our wedding, which we had anticipated given her talent. We never could have imagined, though, the magnitude of a gift she herself would be to us- before, during and after our wedding- and we are so grateful.

Annie was great! She was great to work with, well prepared, listened to all of our requests, worked seamlessly with our other vendors, and took great pictures! She was referred to us by about a half dozen other people that my wife works with, but what made up my mind was that you could see an obvious difference in her photos compared to the other photographers we were considering. There was just something about her style and technique that made me confident that her pictures would surpass our expectations!

If I could give Annie 10 stars I would. Not only is she the most talented photographer I've ever known, she's also one of the most detail oriented and organized people I've met which was super important on the day of my wedding! She really cares about making sure you get the most out of your wedding day photographs and it shows in all of her planning/organization that takes place before the big day. We had a bridal party that was hard to deal with at times (i.e., groomsmen not into taking a million pictures), but Annie didn't let it phase her and kept a smile on her face the whole time. She is so cool, calm, and collected and treated my husband and I like we were her old friends. She has a special gift and a way to see "good shots" and unique shots like no one else can. Her candid pictures are one of a kind and beautiful (and I usually don't like candids). She used creativity in getting the best possible shots she could throughout the day. I know I already mentioned this, but aside from being super talented, Annie is genuine, compassionate, and puts everything into her work. She's just the sweetest and has such a warm and calming nature about her (which for a type A/slightly spazzy bride really helped me on the day of my wedding). We've seen some "sneak peaks" from our wedding which are so gorgeous and can't wait to get the rest of our photos back. I know they will be great. Annie was nothing short of amazing. From the very first meeting with her she went out of her way to get to know us to help understand what kind of photography we wanted. She communicated clearly, was very organized and made us have complete confidence that we were going to get amazing photos of our day... she delivered! I highly recommend Annie to any one.

Honestly, I can't imagine having had anyone else but Annie photograph our day. ALL of our pictures are FANTASTIC and she captured *every* moment of the day. Our bridal party and family members all raved about her the whole day. The time she spent before hand making sure that she had the list of all the pictures we wanted made me feel completely at ease - and not one of those pictures was missed!! (She only gave me one sneak peak that day though, but it was of the one I wanted most ;-) ) I chose to make my own album and have been working on it off and on for a while - I am somewhere around 55 pages and still going because I can't pass up a single photo. The end of the night, my husband realized he never got a photo WITH Annie, and was wildly disappointed..."What if I can't remember what she looks like?" She only added joy to our day, and left us with the perfect pictures to help with the memories. One last thing, I got information and prices from 5-7 photographers in my area (I looked at people that had been to either my church or venue) and she came in as exactly what I wanted and at the best price, by a landslide. After working with her, the value was above and beyond what I imagined!

Annie is INCREDIBLE. She did our engagement photos last year, and we just had our wedding on 10/15. Her work is absolutely seamless. She was more than happy to help the clueless bride and groom with constructing a timeline, and everything was so organized from start to finish. Our parents and bridal party were also completely wowed by Annie and her assistant photographer, Laurie. Everyone felt at ease during the photography parts of the day because of their utter professionalism. My husband and I could not be happier. Annie is truly the best candid photographer I've ever seen, and, if that weren't enough, she is incredibly easy to work with and possesses an effervescent personality. Everyone in the bridal party loved her (as well as her amazing second shooter, Sapna). Annie's enthusiasm and carefree demeanor set the tone for the photo shoots and put all of us right at ease. In addition, she greatly aided the venue staff logistically in terms of keeping myself and my bride-to-be apart, even during outdoor shoots with the groomsmen. The photos themselves are incredible; they provide an excellent mix of traditional formal shots, serendipitous candids, and some truly creative and unique pictures that highlight Annie's more artsy capabilities. In short, Annie is a skilled photographer and a lovely human being with tremendous artistic acumen. I cannot think of a person I would trust more with the task of capturing important memories than Annie Hosfeld.

The photos were beautiful, many guests complimented her, and my husband and I know we made the best choice when choosing Annie. My fiancé and I were planning our PA wedding from NC, and we used the knot to find our photographer. From the very beginning Annie was extremely helpful and got to know us and what we wanted. We wanted to have a record of the day as it naturally occurred with a few traditional portraits of family. Annie was able to completely deliver. On the wedding day, Annie and her additional photographer were able to capture very genuine moments of the day. We have photos of everything we wanted, and I was able to really be a part of the wedding day- instead of posing for the entire cocktail hour, we got to enjoy most of it with family and friends. She was amazing at "troubleshooting". Even though I was running 20 minutes late, Annie kept me on track and I never felt any pressure or stress. She was able to read my husband so well during the traditional portraits and knew when he needed a snack break. She even was flexible about not being in the meetinghouse (we had a Quaker wedding) to photograph the entire ceremony. I was amazed that even though she was not in the meetinghouse for the whole ceremony that she captured amazing photos of my husband and I through the keyhole of the door. I never would have thought of that, and they as my favorite photos! Every couple that I know has already heard either my husband's or my recommendation for Annie. We love our pictures and we loved having her spend our wedding day with us!

AMAZING WORK!! I am so happy with our wedding pictures. Trying to find a photographer was hard for us because to me pictures mean a lot. Annie was so great to work and her work was nothing but exceptional. She is very organized and detailed and the day of our wedding I had nothing to worry about. She had everything planned down to the last minute and our wedding day ran so smooth. Annie loves her work so much that she makes it feel like our day was just as special to her as it was to us. She puts her heart into her work and it shows.

She is incredibly friendly, remarkably organized, and extremely talented - I have had numerous friends and family members tell me our wedding photos are the best they have ever seen. Most of all, she was a joy to work with on the actual wedding day.

Annie is simply the best! Wow - where to begin...her talent is incredible. The moments she captured from our wedding day were amazingly beautiful and I have many, many family and friends asking for copies for themselves! She made our entire bridal party feel so comfortable and at ease; she was truly a joy to work with! I would use Annie again and again for future family photos and I have already recommended her to several other brides. I could not imagine our wedding day without Annie and I am so glad we have her photography work to relive the memories!
