mes on the phone and once in person to go over details of what we were looking to capture on our wedding day. Once June 4th arrived, she was on-time, professional, but most of all, FUN! She mixed so well with our crowd that she could have passed as a family member or friend. She was so social and friendly that she put our guests at ease and captured really great shots of them. It was important to us that our guests be photographed, and Ann-Marie managed to capture practically every single person multiple times. We didn’t want to spend a lot of time missing out on our cocktail hour, so she made sure to make quick—but beautiful—work of the photos taken of our wedding party and me and my husband alone. She managed to capture all of the moments we wanted without keeping us from the party for too long. When we received our photographs, we were mostly very pleased with the results. However, some of our outdoor shots seemed a little too bright/washed out. For a blonde bride in a white dress, this was obviously a bit of a concern! When I brought the issue up to Ann-Marie, she couldn’t have been more accommodating. She worked with the files and adjusted the contrast on any that we felt were “off” color-wise. She really went above and beyond post-wedding, answering all of my calls and emails to put us at ease. The end result? Fantastic photos that we are 100% happy with. Our album is beautiful and vibrant with photos that completely capture our wedding day. I’d highly recommend Ann-Marie. She’s a wonderful photographer—and a fun person to be around!

as looking for for our wedding. I wanted something that really captured the spirit of the day and the emotion, rather than really cheesy, canned photos. And boy, did she deliver. Every single one of our photos, I can feel the love and emotion pouring out of them. She really captured the emotion and the essence of the day. Her photojournalism style really comes through, which is exactly what I wanted. If you want beautiful photographs, at an incredibly reasonable price, from someone with a great personality and lots of enthusiasm, then you should absolutely hire Ann-Marie!

e wedding photographs and the wedding in general. She is very personable and approachable and right off the bat we could tell that her style would meld with ours. A month or so before the wedding, she had us send her shot lists of groups of people that we wanted to make sure we had photos of following the wedding, and the day of the wedding it became clear what a great idea (if not necessary) these shot lists were. The post-ceremony family photos went by in a breeze, and she was able to refocus on taking more candid shots (an area where she absolutely excels). The day of the wedding, she met us at Meridian Hill Park to take shots of the wedding party. She was very enthusiastic in getting the shots, and the product turned out beautifully with many shots of me and my husband with DC in the background (just what I wanted!). Following that, she followed me, my husband, and the best men for a few shots around DC as we made our way to the venue, resulting in my favorite photo lovingly dubbed "The Wedding Entourage." Meanwhile, a second photographer was making her way to the venue to catch people as they were arriving. The photos of the evening turned out beautifully. There is a healthy mix of the venue, the setup, the accoutrements of the wedding (including a beautiful one of our rings), the ceremony, and the reception. Some of my favorite are the candid shots, but she told us beforehand to never hesitate to tap her or her colleague on the shoulder to get a picture with anyone. I took advantage of this option several times and ended up with some lovely photos of friends and family throughout the evening. If it weren't obvious, we highly recommend Ann-Marie. Make this choice and move on to the more difficult ones!

n the other side of the camera so she helped us relax and have a good time. For our wedding she was there all the time for everything! She captured us getting ready perfectly even though she had to run all over the house to capture us both! She did great during the ceremony I never even noticed her moving around! At the reception she took so many great shots I had trouble picking my favorites out. There are so many candid shots that put a smile on my face and allowed me to see all our guests having fun that I didn't get to see with how busy you are! The best was of my family - my parents don't usually get a lot of big smiles, but she got great photos of that! Priceless to me! She had lots of ideas for different group shots with the bridal parties. Again glad for that because none of us were use to having our photos taken for this so she steered us into the right direction! She was always on time, on point, and truly wonderful to work with. I can't wait to get her back to photograph my family as it grows because I know she'll get the best shots!
