h them for the wedding I started going to Brittany Sower to color my hair- I am naturally a VERY dark brunette but I have been working on getting as blonde as my hair will let me go and each time I left the salon Brittany got me closer and closer to my goal. The best part about my experience with her was her knowledge- this gal KNOWS her stuff, after our first session over a year ago she came up with an entire PLAN for my hair and how to not only get me to my goal color but keep my hair healthy. I will continue to trust her with my hair not only because of her talent but she is truly one of the sweetest souls I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. If I’m going to sit in a chair for 3-4 hours I want to be with someone who makes me feel comfortable and she does exactly that. Emily Hurst was amazing coordinating with me for our wedding day and responded to any request right away! Kate Cusamano was such a sweetie from the moment we met at my trial, she listened and truly helped me as we figured out my look for the wedding giving me sound advice. She also made me feel so comfortable as a skin care specialist- she knew how to handle my sensitive skin and didn’t make me feel bad about breaking out and assured me she will make sure to make me feel beautiful and protect my skin. I had a lot of people getting their hair/makeup done and these three FLEW through everything while also doing a phenomenal job. I am getting so many compliments on my hair/makeup and again I felt so beautiful. My husband was so happy because he said he saw “me” even all made up- and I typically do not wear any makeup. These three were also just so much fun to hangout with the morning of my wedding- joining in on conversations and laughing along with my crew. It felt like a bunch of besties hanging out- exactly the experience I was looking for. Thank you ladies from the bottom of my heart! Anyone looking for a salon that will help you look and feel beautiful the moment you book with them, Anthology is where to go!! oxox

Hair and makeup are not my areas of expertise, and they made the process easy and fun. Would recommend to any other Lancaster brides.

At least, that's always what's on my mind: I want to know that if something goes wrong–as it usually does–my chosen vendor will be able to problem-solve their way through the issue without bringing my emotions along for the ride. Because, let's be honest, planning a wedding isn't a stress-free affair. I actually did experience a miscommunication with Anthology. And it could've even been considered "last minute" (in the wedding world, 3 months out kind of is!). But I'm happy to report that Amanda, the owner of the salon, was a seasoned pro at smoothing things out. She was attentive, gracious, responsive, and able to show accountability and professionalism in the face of my big, big feelings. In the end, I could truly feel that Amanda's main concern was that I was happy; she really did put me before her business, which meant a lot. She even thanked me for giving her the opportunity to better her business and policies by bringing the issue to her attention. I did not end up moving forward with Anthology's services, which was purely circumstantial. But I do absolutely recommend them for the prospective bride/groom/spouse who needs a team that can put out fires if necessary, and who wants a vendor that will *actually* put them first and treat them like a human being.

I've been a bridesmaid many times and have never experienced everyone being happy with their hair - and it's all a testament to their talent and hard work! Also as a bonus - my fiance (now hubby) has long hair so they even went to the groomsmen suite to do a "man bun" for him and it looked amazing on him too! They were able to make each of my bridesmaids feel absolutely stunning as well as myself! All the stylists were so kind and made all my nerves disappear leading up to the big day!I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out and I am so glad we were able to work with the Anthology team!

n I told Chloe I was worried my tendrils would be long, she literally cut my hair on the spot! And all along the way, Emily was so helpful in coordinating and arranging all the details… even though a covid date change, and me switching up the schedule and the number of people getting their hair and makeup done. Everyone looked beautiful from the mother of the bride to bridesmaids. I’d recommend them any day of the week!!

so I was worried about the curls staying, but Amanda was able to keep my hair curled all night long! She kept everything running smoothly and on schedule the morning of the wedding. Also, her products are amazing - I love Kevin Murphy products! I cannot recommend Anthology enough!!

ID but I never felt like they didn't care about me. I was able to have a wonderful trial prior to our wedding day. However, our wedding had to be postponed from Dec to April. Anthology Salon had no issue with changing the date. When April came, Amanda and Emily promptly arrived at my hotel room to get to work on all of my girls and I. Both of these women worked their magic on several girls plus my mom and I in the timeframe given. None of the girls were picky but they also were not very descriptive and both Amanda and Emily were able to transform them with little direction. My husband was worried about how I would look and lets just say he cried when he saw me. Amanda and Emily transformed me into my own version of a disney princess. I could have not asked for a better beauty team for my wedding day!!! Thank you so much!!

Anthology was also very accommodating when I had to add a few extra people than originally planned and we are so glad we had Emily and Chloe there for extra time too for any touchups that we needed!

an apology, they simply left me with no other options but to find another salon. No courtesy call and no warning, and I haven't heard from their wedding coordinator since. Despite their portfolio and studio being beautiful and charming, The whole process of working with their coordinator felt very unprofessional,. If you are interested in booking Anthology, I highly recommend having as much as you can in writing or contract as soon as you are in communications with their coordinator. Any delay (if only for a few days) and they will not hesitate to book your date without letting you know in advance.

not just executing a hairstyle but about having a stylist who is approachable, friendly, easy to talk to and receptive of ideas outside of their own vision. Your day is stressful enough as a bride, having someone who enters your space with a negative energy is not what you need and despite the attempt of myself and my bridesmaids to be friendly, we were met with what I can only term as annoyed disdain. My hair looked great, her assistant Chloe was wonderful and eager and willing to provide touchups to everyone in the room while I felt that the owner Amanda was irritated and off putting to all in the room. I felt myself as a bride was more worried about making her feel happy and comfortable, than I did about my own experience. Amanda is talented unfortunately, her demeanor and attitude overshadows that.

my wedding day open. When they said they did I couldn’t be happier. Chloe was a breeze to communicate with and was on top of everything. I first went to them in August to have my hair colored and they killed it. I have never been completely in love with my hair. Also to add their salon is so beautiful and cozy. When I went back in October for my trial I showed Amanda my inspo picture and literally 20 minutes later she made it come to life and it looked perfect. Amanda and chloe were amazing on the day of the wedding also! They both got everyone’s hair done so quickly and beautifully. All of my bridesmaids kept telling me how much they loved how their hair came out. Even with two small flowers girls they got them to sit perfectly and their hair looked gorgeous. Anthology is very reasonable priced and are for sure worth every penny. I follow them on Instagram and every time they post a picture I would say to myself “I can’t wait for them to do my hair for my wedding”. They truly are a gem.

My hair was everything I could’ve asked for but waaaaay better than that! It stayed in all night-& into the next day. The whole bridal party got complements throughout the entire night on our hair & make up! Shelly is an artist when it comes to make up. These two were an absolute pleasure to spend the day with. I know I will be making the drive back to Lancaster from Philly just so I can get my hair done by one of these ladies again :)

w it would turn out on my wedding day. It was absolutely perfect, and I didn't even have a trial! Chloe tweaked my original inspiration by adding a braid, and it was just amazing. She also quickly understood how my unruly hair worked and made sure I had tight curls that would fall perfectly by ceremony and picture time, and they did! I also loved how my makeup was just enough to look like I had some on, but not overdone that I looked like a different person. Everything was just beautiful. Thank you, Anthology!

el very fortunate to have found her since I live out of town and wasn’t familiar with any salons in the area. She handled my large bridal party all on her own in a very quick and efficient way on the day of the wedding. All of my ladies looked AMAZING and they all loved their styles. I will recommend her to everyone I know.

My bridesmaids also looked INCREDIBLE - they all did their own hair look and Brittany worked pure magic. They were all so pleased with their hair, as was I! Doing a trial was so helpful because it helped me to determine what I really wanted for the day of. And Brittany was so flexible because when the day came, I went for a totally different look with hair! I started to describe sort of what I was thinking and she said “I feel like you’re going for an old Hollywood kind of look?” and it was so incredible how she could nail down what I was trying to imagine! I looked and felt so beautiful and LOVED my look for the day! We also so enjoyed hanging out in the salon while we all got our hair done - such a chill atmosphere and lovely place to hang out. I 10/10 recommend Anthology for bridal or special event hair and/or makeup - they were so easy to work with and the work was so unique and beautiful! Thank you Brittany for helping bring my bridal vision to life! :)

sweating! My MIL talks about how she can never get her hair to stayed curled when ever she does it, but when Amanda did it, it stayed curled for 2 days after the wedding (until she showered). I don't know how she does it, but she works magic! I wish I lived closer to her shop - I would 100% be getting my hair done there all the time! Also she is THE SWEETEST and so nice! I would HIGHLY recommend her

exact look i was going for (but didn't even know i wanted) without over spending. bridal hair and make up is pricey in general when you aren't used to pampering yourself like that so when i was searching i definitely had sticker shock but LET ME TELL YOU her work, and work ethic was worth every dime!!! she was so sweet and accommodating. we did a hair trial and i thought i wanted an updo but it ending up not looking like me, when i was lost on what i even wanted she knew exactly what to do to make me feel like me. now i will look back at my photos of myself and truly believe i looked the most beautiful on my wedding day. if you are looking for someone talented, easy to talk to, and totally sweet look no further, anthology is your salon, and amanda is your girl!!!! thanks for everything amanda!!!!!
