My husband and I got married 10/11/24 at the Anthony Wayne House. We fell in love with the venue a year prior, and knew right away we wanted to book with them. From the time we booked, to the very end of our wedding day, everything was smooth sailing. The day could not have been any more perfect. The property is spacious but cozy. Every guest raved about it and LOVED the food! The bonfire pit and yard games went perfectly with our laidback vibe. If you are looking for an amazing space to host your outdoor wedding, the Anthony Wayne House is it.
My wedding was 9/2024. When my partner and I viewed the venue, we loved the backyard type feel. We loved that everything was so close (ceremony to cocktail hour to reception). The planning process had its bumps, but it seemed like JAM was willing to work with us, especially with dietary restrictions. Our guests commented on the food quality and appreciated that the meals were warm.
Our planner, Heather, was very attentive, especially the day of the event. Her attention to us helped us spend more time together during the wedding- meaning we didn't get stuck at the bar because she made sure we had drinks throughout the day, informed us when there was a change in the timeline, and was willing to do tasks that may have been a bit out of the norm to help us out.
The reasons we chose AWH: the layout, the menu, a sound system where we could be our own DJ, the firepit, the availability of the museum, the willingness of the staff, the availability of games.
I am getting married here in September and have had the best experience with Heather and the whole JMC team! I can’t wait to do our tasting!
Any questions?
10/10 experience planning a wedding at AWH! Everything from the venue, to catering, to our wedding planner Katie has exceeded our expectations and made the process so easy and fun!
We are so excited to get married at AWH in October. We absolutely fell in love with the venue when we toured it. The venue was described by a vendor as a place that hugs you and they couldn't be more right about that! The set up feels so private and magical. We also couldn't be happier with AWH's contract with JAM Catering - the food far surpasses the quality of most wedding food! Highly recommend.
I'll be getting married at the Anthony Wayne House in September 2023, and I am unbelievably excited. I knew I was going to like this venue after finding it online and seeing the beautiful pictures and positive reviews from past weddings. After visiting the venue last fall and working with the AWH team on my wedding day logistics since then, I feel even more sure! The grounds are beautiful, and the JAM catering team has crafted menus and packages that are both affordable and luxurious. These pros know what they're doing, and it puts my mind at ease! Highly recommend.
10/29/23 Addition: When I wrote my initial review, I was still in the planning process of my wedding. Now, being married and done with planning, I just wanted to add that my wedding at the Anthony Wayne House was a dream as I thought it would be. The venue team helped make sure my day went off without a hitch, even with giant rainclouds threatening to downpour at any second. They helped to navigate that uncertainty with confidence and good judgement, and overall made my day an incredible success. Beautiful venue, with amazing staff!
We are getting married this May at Anthony Wayne House, but couldn't wait to share how happy I am that we chose AWH/JAM Catering. The wedding process can be so stressful, but they have made it seamless. First, Anthony Wayne House is a dream venue and JAM Catering's food is amazing...JAM focuses on farm-to-table and is cooked at the venue site. If you are contemplating on booking your wedding at AWH, I 100% recommend it!
We fell in love with the Anthony Wayne House from the second we walked onto the grounds. It was the first venue that we looked at and although we did our due diligence and looked at a few more we always compared them to AWH. The pergola is absolutely dreamy, and the option to have the ceremony in front of the historic stone house was also a bonus. The attention to detail by the staff including planners Heather and Lynn have been top notch. We can't wait for the lawn games, the fire pit, and dancing under the tent!
We are getting married at Anthony Wayne house on 6/9/23 and we cannot wait! We had our food tasting at the Aldie Mansion on 3/11/23. It was a great event and made us so excited for our big day. We were able to try the food that we could pick, we had cocktail hour food, different type of stations, entree options, cake, dessert, signature cocktails, etc. It was a great event and the staff were all knowledge and friendly. Highly recommend to work with JAM catering
My fiance and I are getting married in May and just had our menu planning call with our coordinator. They were so patient with us as we asked questions and helped us put together our dream menu! They had read all of our notes from our tasting and had great suggestions when we had questions. They also were willing to work with us on some different requests and were so accommodating! We can't wait for May!
My husband and I just got married in September at the AWH and it was absolutely beautiful. The whole vibe of the venue is magical and guests are still raving about how much they enjoyed themselves and loved the food. Everything from the apps to the desserts were spectacular. Lynn was our coordinator and she made sure everything went to plan and helped us set up all our decor as well as take it down. If you are looking for an unique and beautiful place for your wedding this is it. My husband and I are hoping someone else gets married here so we can actually get to come as a guest and get to enjoy everything to its fullest!! As bride and groom you tend to miss out on all the great things you pick a little lol
My fiancé and I are getting married at the Anthony Wayne House in September 2022! We are so thrilled and have had such a positive experience throughout the planning process. I attended a wedding at the Anthony Wayne House in 2021 and fell in love with the venue. I knew it was a perfect fit for us. Not to mention the food is incredible!
My fiancé and I absolutely fell in love with Jam catering. We got to meet Jeffrey Miller and he was so gracious. The food exceeded our expectations and our wedding planner Hannah was a dream. She took all of our ideas and suggestions and gave her helpful input along the way as we planned. Our overall experience has been so enjoyable and we are so thankful.
Anthony wayne house has been nothing but a
dream! their team is so friendly and on point. I live far away and they have been communicating with me no problems at all! we're getting married in September and the venue is just everything my fiancée and I have ever dreamed of. we walked in and fell in love instantly and signed the papers!
We are getting married at the Anthony Wayne House in October and we can't wait!! The entire process has been great and everyone has been super helpful. We just had our tasting and the food was delicious too!
We will be celebrating our wedding here in the summer of 2022. In the 6 months that we have been planning with AWH and JAM Catering, they have been nothing short of professional, informative, and respectful. Extremely experienced staff and provides ALL the information needed upfront. Looking forward to continuing working with the team and celebrating next summer!
I am so excited to say that I will be getting married at Anthony Wayne House this summer 2022. So far, the experience working with this venue has been absolutely wonderful! The event coordinators have been so communicative, clear, and full of great creative ideas for us! They are also kind enough to give recommendations for photographers, DJs, etc. so make vendor selection easier. We are counting down the days until our wedding and are so excited to celebrate at this gorgeous historical venue!
We just had our wedding at the AWH 11.6.21 and I can't say enough positive things about this venue! From the moment we toured the venue back in 2019 we knew this was where we wanted to get married as it is so beautiful and unique. Angela was very accommodating during covid and helped us easily postpone our 2020 wedding until 2021. Let me tell you it was worth the wait! The AWH staff went above and beyond to help ensure we had the perfect day. The grounds are so beautiful and the tent itself was breathtaking. I was worried about being cold because it was a chilly November day but Lynn easily switched cocktail hour to be inside with a few outdoor tables the morning of the wedding. The tent was so warm when we all entered for the reception and with the lights and candles it was the romantic vision I had always dreamed of. We also encountered a medical emergency during dinner with our grandfather and the AWH staff were all extremely attentive and 911 was immediately called and he was taken to the hospital. He is okay and was thankfully discharged the next day! Our captain and assistant captain were AMAZING and always made sure my husband and I were taken care of during the reception especially when we were shaken up during the emergency. The bartenders were on point the entire night and the servers were also great, I can't thank every staff member enough! The food was incredible and by far the best we've ever had at a wedding, and many of our guests complimented us on how tasty the food was as well. The day was such a blur and went by so quickly but I am so happy we picked the AWH to host our special day, don't hesitate book them today!
Highly recommend AWH!
- Beautiful venue that has a natural, romantic, and warm feel
- Food was delicious. Appreciated that their was a wide range of options available when we were designing out menu.
- Staff was detail oriented, communicative, and supportive throughout the process.
I was so happy we had our wedding at AWH it was a dream come true. All of our guests told us what a beautiful wedding it was and how obsessed they were with the place.
5 years ago I had attended a wedding at Anthony Wayne House and just knew I had to get married there. The whole property is beautiful and it is set up to really accommodate the guests. Cocktail hour was outside and it was gorgeous. The dance floor is huge and so is the bar. Guest were happy because they loved the food and never had to wait for a drink.
JAM catering was amazing. Their food was out of this world! Our favorite hors d’oeuvres were the lamb chops and the scrapple.
Angela DiLella helped us with all things wedding planning for Anthony Wayne house. She was so organized and on top of things. I never felt like I had to keep track or remember details or due dates. She was very informative and helped calm my nerves and stress that I would experience around planning. She also provided suggestions for other vendors- which we ended up loving.
I would Recommend Anthony Wayne house to anyone that wants a scenic somewhat outdoor wedding. The property is beautiful and the team that works there is so helpful. We had the best wedding ever!!!
I just got married here this past weekend and all I can say is this venue is an absolute dream! All of our guests could not stop raving about what a beautiful place it was. If you are still searching, or stuck between here and somewhere else, look no further!! Pure magic, I will be recommending to everyone and anyone I can.
We had our wedding at the Anthony Wayne House on 8/21/2021 and had the absolute best experience!! Not only is the venue stunning, but the team and staff were all AMAZING and kept everything running smoothly the whole time. The food/drink was all delicious - all of our friends and family raved about it. We highly recommend this venue for your wedding!
The Anthony Wayne house is beautiful and the food is delicious! We are so excited for our wedding. Our coordinators have been helpful from the start!
Can’t recommend Anthony Wayne enough!
We love the Anthony Wayne house and their supportive staff! We are getting married there at the end of the month and they have made the process so easy!
What a day! My daughter and now son-in-law celebrated their wedding on May 22nd. Everything was perfect and all our guests will have many special memories. The venue was perfect and the all the staff members made this day extra special. Heather and Dana paid attention to all the details and were very patient and kind. If you have an occasion to celebrate, The Anthony Wayne should be on the top of your list.
Bravo!
My daughter celebrated her wedding at the Anthony Wayne House on May 1st and it was spectacular! So many family members and friends commented on how fabulous it was from the gorgeous setting to the delicious food served by Jeffrey Miller Catering.
I’m so grateful for all the work, effort, and detailed planning coordinated by Heather McCarron and the JAM staff. They kept things running smoothly and truly gave us a memorable day and evening. We had perfect weather for the ceremony in front of the pergola followed by hors d’oeuvres and drinks on the lawn. Our guests enjoyed the beautiful evening reception under the tent with all the twinkling lights. It was all we hoped and envisioned it would be.
To anyone planning a wedding in the future, I would highly recommend this beautiful venue and catering service! I will certainly be singing their praises for years to come!
My fiancé and I booked our wedding at the JAM venue The Bishop Farmstead for August 2020, but then when the Pandemic hit we needed to change our plans! Erika the wedding venue manager and the other JAM/Bishop Farmstead staff have gone above and beyond to communicate and take care of every detail to make sure that you, your guests, and the event staff will all be safe during the wedding, no matter what challenges may appear. A wedding is stressful enough! Good to know that we can trust the JAM staff to take the pandemic seriously and ensure the safety of all. They are also very responsive with their emails and keep all couples up to date with the regularly-changing New Jersey Covid protocols and other updates about the venue. I highly recommend this venue! Not to mention the barn and grounds are gorgeous and the food is delish!
My husband and I got married at the Anthony Wayne House exactly one month ago today and it was phenomenal!!! It was absolutely beautiful during the ceremony with the light coming through the trees and at night with all the lights from the tent and big tree!! Our day-of coordinator was very helpful and made sure that we had all of our decorations ready to go the day of the wedding so we didn’t have to worry about it. All of our friends and family complimented so highly on all of the food!!! JAM catering was so amazing!! All the food and the set up of the cocktail hour was just beautiful. Highly recommend the Anthony Wayne House!!
We could not have picked a better venue for our June 2019 wedding - it was magical. One of the main reasons my husband and I picked this place was because of the historical significance, the natural beauty and the amazing catering by JAM. We had our initial tour in December of 2017 after a huge snow storm - Lynn walked us around and gave us the vision of what it would look like in the early summer. From pictures that I had seen I knew that it was exactly what we were looking for - Lynn even let us know that they had a special where they were giving away a s'mores bar for free with a deposit. We could not say no - after only touring one venue we knew this was the one. Lynn and the rest of the team were extremely helpful throughout our whole wedding planning process. The week before our wedding it had rained like crazy which meant there more bugs out than usual - the team was on it! They sprayed the lawn right before the ceremony to help decrease the amount of pests. My husband and I had no worries the day of the wedding - the team over at the Anthony Wayne House ensured our day ran smoothly and kept us on time for all our special moments. My guests were amazed at how beautiful the space was and that there were even free tours of the historic home. If we had to do it again we would choose the Anthony Wayne House over and over! I cannot recommend this venue enough - they made our day truly unforgettable!
Since the moment me and my fiancé (now husband!) visited Anthony Wayne House for a tour we knew right away this was going to be our wedding venue. Between the farmhouse tables and the mason jar lights that lined the top of the tent, it had our vibe written all over it. I remember remarking it had an Anthropologie feel to space, with its simplicity but also elegance.
Since we booked, I spent the next 11 months dreaming about walking down to the love of my life at pergola in the open backyard with the lush green trees in the background. Unfortunately, the day of it was raining on and off and the ceremony had to be inside. I have to say, I had a specific vision and when your vision is changed in just moments can be really hard(especially for brides who have given so much thought into it).
Angela calmly took me into the tent where the ceremony was going to be held and showed me how beautiful it was going to be.
I can honestly say, it was the most beautiful sight I’ve ever seen. When I walked down the aisle to the love of my life, the rain was coming down on the tent so gently and created a whole different atmosphere. The guests being inside the tent created a more intimate setting. The tent was open so you could still see the lush greenery in the backdrop. The leaves and trees were rustling giving the whole moment something you would see in a movie.
Booking AWH was the best decision next to saying yes to my husband! No matter the weather, they will go above and beyond to make you the happiest bride on your wedding day.
Thank you to the team at AWH and JAM catering, you guys will always have a special place in my heart!
I cannot give the Anthony Wayne House staff enough praise! We had the best time working with Angela, Lynn, Lindsay, and Cindy. We knew AWH was our venue the moment we took a tour with Angela, and were so happy to be matched up with Lynn to plan our day. Lynn was absolutely amazing throughout the planning process - she answered all of our questions and really helped us to understand how the day would come together. Lynn is such a calming force that we never once felt overwhelmed or that we had anything to worry about. We met Cindy and Lindsay the day of and had a blast with them! They helped keep everything moving smoothly. Every time we needed either one of them - and before we even realized it - they were already there to take care of everything! We had the best day due to these four amazing women and are so thankful to them and the rest of the staff! Thank you for everything!
The Anthony Wayne House is a perfect location for a summer wedding! As soon as my fiancé and I arrived at the venue we knew it was meant to be. It has the perfect combination of rustic elegance that we were looking for! Even though we were there a year in advance, we had to book immediately because there were only a few spots left! The property is truly a dream come true for a wedding venue, with beautiful flowers, trees, and architecture. AWH is one of a kind venue with flexible staff that allow you to create a one of a kind wedding. We enjoyed a delicious tasting and were offered a very helpful day of wedding planner, Lauren! I would highly recommend Angela and the AWH for a wedding venue!
I could truly never dream of a more perfect venue. Lynn is the best planner in the business, and she took care of our every need. The venue is naturally stunning, and the team behind the scenes makes sure that you don’t have to worry about anything during your day. Our guests were obsessed with the uniqueness of the space, and I could have never dreamed of a more perfect place to get married. You truly have to see the space to understand how gorgeous it really is.
My husband and I got married on April 27th, 2019. I heard about this venue through a coworker and fell in love with the venue. We had both our ceremony and reception here which turned out to be perfect despite the wind. Angela, Lauren (our wedding coordinator), and Cindy were all wonderful and helped our special day to go on seamlessly. We had our ceremony outdoors then transitioned to cocktail hour indoors because it was very windy. Then ended the evening under the stunning tent! I felt like we were well taken care of the entire night. JAM catering also did an amazing job on the food and cake. Our guests loved the cocktail hour and dinner. We were overall VERY pleased with the venue and would recommend it to others!
My husband and I chose the Anthony Wayne House for our April 26th wedding and we are so happy we did. Angela, Lynn, Cindy and the whole team at the Anthony Wayne House and JAM catering helped to make our day the best one possible. Even though it poured rain just as our ceremony was starting, everything was absolutely beautiful and we wouldn't have changed anything. The food was also absolutely amazing, JAM catering is the best!
My fiancé and I are so excited to be getting married at the Anthony Wayne House next month. We will be having both our ceremony and reception there. From the minute we walked onto the property, Angela greeted us with a warm, welcoming smile. We were able to have a private meeting with her and she answered all of our questions and then gave us a tour. We booked immediately! Aside from the wonderful first impression, AWH offers their couples a wonderful tasting where we were able to sample all of the dishes and deserts and choose our menu that day. We were stuffed by the end--absolutely delicious! We can't wait for our guests to eat the food prepare by JAM. Lastly, our day-of coordinator, Lauren has been absolutely wonderful. She has answered all of our questions, provided suggestions, and has definitely calmed my nerves! Lauren is extremely responsive and has made the wedding process much less hectic. Overall, so far, the AWH has proved to be a dream come true for a beautiful wedding day!
Anthony Wayne House. Wow. Historical, check. Outdoors, check. Private and accessible, check. My wife and I got married at the Anthony Wayne house on 9-15-2018. We wanted to incorporate the beautiful Fall weather and Autumn trees into our day while still having a rustic feel. This venue was perfect and all our guests raved how authentic and intimate the venue felt. The beautifully lit tree, fire pit and farm-style tables and chairs really gave us the perfect wedding day we wished for.
The Anthony Wayne house was the perfect Venus for us!! Angela was fantastic with getting us all the details and adding her special touch to make the tent look amazing! Dan and I knew this was the perfect venue as soon as we walked in. The grounds were beautiful, the tent was stunning and the food was fantastic!
The one thing you can’t control is the weather and it happened to rain all day and night on our wedding day. That being said the cocktail hour that wa sorigionally supposed to be outside was moved into the house. Our guests loved it, saying that being in a smaller space (vs. the sprawling lawn outside) presented opportunities to start conversations with people that might not have otherwise met.
The food was amazing! We served the gazpacho, brisket and salmon with a lemon cake and raspberry filling. The cake being included in the fee was great and another thing we could check off the long list of wedding to-do’s.
Overall, I wouldn’t change a thing at The Anthony Wayne House! It was PERFECT!
My husband and I were just married on August 11th at the Anthony Wayne house. I cannot even begin to express how wonderful everything was. Lynn Gluck was our wedding planner and she was fabulous. We were given the freedom to make our night our own with homemade decor and it was absolute perfection!!! It even poured with rain the entire night but the Jeffrey Miller Catering Staff and the Anthony Wayne House wedding planners made it the most beautiful indoor wedding you could imagine. It was romantic and intimate! Lynn, Angela, and Cindy were such pleasures to work with! The venue was perfect, and I had so many compliments on the delicious food! JAM and AWH really did make wedding planning so much fun for us!! Our wedding was absolutely incredible and it couldn’t have been made possible without the entire staff at JAM and the Anthony Wayne House. Thanks a million!!!
We recently got married at the Anthony Wayne House and very much loved our wedding. The grounds are stunning and the food was fantastic! I loved how the event flowed from the pergola ceremony space, to the lawn for cocktail hour and then the tent for the reception. Our guests came in and out through out the night to enjoy the fire pit and take photos by the tree lit with twinkle lights.
The only negatives I can say about wedding planning were the response time from our coordinator/everyone on the team. E-mails were answered generally 5-7 days after sending them which became frustrating and our walk thru/rehearsal felt unorganized and with our under-prepared coordinator, Lauren. She was lovely, but not as responsive and organized as I needed. The other issue we had was, while the food was very delicious and we received compliments all night, the catering team was unorganized and opened all the stations 20 mins late. No one seemed to notify our guests once the stations were opened and eventually they told our DJ to make an announcement. This ended up resulting in our guests standing in long lines while we sat and ate our food, not ideal. I e-mailed the entire team regarding these issues, but again, no response.
All in all, the wedding was beautiful and all our guests raved about the grounds and food. The area is also great for exploring and everyone seemed to have fun getting to know Paoli. I do recommend the Anthony Wayne House as a wedding venue, but suggest discussing your needs and expectations ahead of time to decrease stress later.
Jeffrey Miller Catering took this venue to a new level! It is a magnificent backdrop to any garden party. The restrooms are the best I have found for an outdoor venue. Highly recommend!
My fiancé and I toured Anthony Wayne house and knew right away it was the perfect venue for us. It has a beautiful outdoor ceremony location! Angela answered all of our questions and was a pleasure to work with. After booking Anthony Wayne house, we were invited to a tasting with JAM caterers. We were able to taste food, desserts and drinks. Everything was wonderful! Lauren is our wedding coordinator as has been very helpful throughout the planning process. We can't wait to celebrate our wedding in October!
We were married at the Anthony Wayne House in April 2017. The venue is beautiful even on a damp and rainy spring day! Our ceremony had to be moved indoors because of the rain but everything worked out perfectly. The tent is strong and durable in protecting guests from weather and, though it can accommodate many more guests, did not feel empty with the 130 we hosted. We were happy with the sound system and the warmth of the tent, too.
Some guests did complain that part of a connecting walkway from the carriage house into the tent was not protected from rain, so they had to walk through wet gravel to get to the bathrooms. Older guests especially had a hard time with that section.
A disappointment for us was that the lights on the larger tree in the yard apparently are not surge protected for weather, so they were not able to turn them on even after the rain stopped. It was a romantic element we looked forward to, so it's too bad that didn't work out.
The Anthony Wayne House also requires you to work with an exclusive caterer, Jeffrey Miller Catering, which is a downside. We had significant issues working with that caterer and would not recommend them unless you truly love the venue.
We loved our wedding at Anthony Wayne House! It rained during our ceremony but it actually turned out beautiful under the tent! All the lights really set the tone. Our guests loved the rustic feel of the farm tables and the outdoor setting! The staff and food from JAM catering were fantastic. Our planner, Barbara Ann, was there for us at every turn and helped to orchestrate the perfect day! My only complaint about JAM catering is that they do solicit reviews for free upgrades at your wedding, so I would disregard any reviewers who haven't had their wedding yet. The actual experience is so great they shouldn't have to solicit reviews!
The Anthony Wayne House was the most perfect spot for our wedding. Our day was truly perfect. We were married on 5.28.17 and did both our ceremony and reception at the venue. And we highly recommend it!
- Plan A and B are gorgeous - whether you are outside getting married or it rains and you have to go indoors, you can't go wrong. We were SO fortunate enough to get married outside; the rain held off literally until we walked into the tent for the reception. But the tent is gorgeous, it has a clear roof, and the "walls" can be moved, making it feel like you're outdoors. The greenery all around the venue is beautiful. The house is really nice, too, where you'd have cocktail hour if it rains.
- Food: JAM catering is so delicious. We still have compliments almost 2 months later on the food at the wedding. Just let them do their thing and don't worry about it!
- Convenience - the Anthony Wayne House does everything there - JAM handles all the food and even the cake (so good), they have most decorations on site that you could want, their recommended florist (Buttercup) made coordinating decorations and colors with the venue so easy, not to mention their flowers were out of this world. We planned our wedding from 700 miles away and it was EASY.
- Service - Angela and Lynn were wonderful to work with and made sure everything we envisioned came to life.
- Alcohol - Yes, you have to bring your own alcohol. But this allowed us to have what we wanted. Also, my husband makes beer and my dad makes wine. We were able to have homemade beer and wine, which added such a personal touch to our special day. We couldn't have done that anywhere else. It worked out great.
My fiancé and I knew that we wanted our ceremony and reception to be in one location and we visited several different venues in the Philadelphia area, one day I came across venues that were managed and catered by Jeffrey Miller. I looked at pictures of The Anthony Wayne House and fell in love and knew that I had to visit the venue in person. I instantly emailed the venue and received a response from Angela in a matter of minutes and we scheduled a visit for the following day. The venue it's self has so much character and is so well maintained that for us it was impossible to not book immediately. A year later the day of our wedding was here and I didn't think the venue could look any more beautiful than it did the day we visited, but it did, everything came together so perfectly. We got married at the Pergola and it was beautiful with the sun shining through the tree's right around 4:30pm. We had a 12 piece band and we were a little worried throughout the process that our band and guests wouldn't fit in the tent area, but Angela assured my fiancé and I that they would do whatever it takes and everything would work out. Turns out, Angela was right. Our band fit perfectly, we had fourteen beautiful farm tables filled with our family and closest friends. The food was delicious, our cake was beautiful and delicious, staff was great and a day of coordinator is included in the cost of the catering, which was extremely helpful. Cost for catering was reasonable, especially for the quality and quantity of food. Our wedding guests were raving about our cocktail hour and our entrees, Jeffrey Miller has unlimited options it felt like when picking our menu! Overall, the venue is gorgeous, really cleans up nicely, and staff are very nice to work with. One area where I struggled was finding updated pictures of the venue online, I would suggest to Jeffrey Miller or the staff of The Anthony Wayne House to take more picture of all of the gorgeous weddings they host! I stalked all forms of social media and found a lot of pictures from 2014, but nothing from 2016 or 2017, so I will do my best to share my pictures and tag the Anthony Wayne House when I get my pictures back!
We recently booked Anthony Wayne House for our September 2018 wedding! We went to see the space in early May and the grounds were perfectly kept, so green, and manicured - I think the first impression is what sold us. Angela was very helpful giving us a tour and providing as much info as we needed. It also sounds like we will be able to personalize our wedding day as much as we would like, down to the menus, schedule, etc. My friends who have used Jam Caterer before say the food is amazing, and already the menu options that i've seen look really unique and fresh. We can't wait to plan with Angela over the next year!
Though I realize I am likely biased, our wedding day was absolute perfection. The Anthony Wayne house was the first choice we made when planning our wedding and it was the best choice we could have made. The JAM team and planning team make sure you are informed of the many different options and cater a day around what you envision. Our planner Barbara Ann was a joy. She listened to us and advised and ultimately was a huge reason we were able to have the day we did. The food was KILLER - seriously, so unique and everyone was raving. I could go on forever about how happy I am that we had our wedding at the Anthony Wayne House but I will end with if you go to check it out, prepare to sign a contract. The venue's magical vibe is enchanting and it is what you make it so every wedding is different. Thank you AWH for the best day of our lives.
After seeing 5 venues a friend recommended Anthony Wayne House after she was a guest at a wedding. We met with Angela and she was great. She gave us a tour, explained all details and we felt like we had known her forever. She talked with us to be sure the venue worked for us including our budget. We fell in love with the property and Angela was very patient talking with our parents and answering all of their questions as well. We booked and can't wait for our wedding, 2018 can't come fast enough.
From the moment my husband and I set foot at Anthony Wayne House, we knew this was the venue for us. It is so naturally beautiful with the trees, the historic house, and the beautiful light-filled tent. It was rustic but in an elegant way. Not only was the actual venue amazing, but JAM Catering truly takes the cake! We had an awesome wedding coordinator, Barbara Ann, who helped us every step of the way. Buttercup Floral (JAM's floral division) blew me away with the seasonal, fresh flowers and stunning table design. The food was amazing too! Definitely not your typical wedding food - from the appetizers to the cake, everything tasted so delicious and fresh. Overall, having our wedding at Anthony Wayne House was the ultimate winning package.
My husband and I got married at the AWH early September this year and it was truly the most amazing day/night and experience we could've ever imagined. The only downfall was the heat, it was 95 on our day with clear sky's. AWH does not have an air conditioning option but of course my stubborn Italian father was going to find a way around that... he was able to rent a cooling system and generator from a local company to air condition the tent. Long story short, it started finally working about half way through the night and took the edge off, it was wonderful and possibly an option but at a cost (I would verify with Angela or someone else at the site just to be sure, there was no stopping my father so it may not even be an option for the future haha). ANYWAY.. the night went flawlessly, we worked with Lauren our wedding planner to hammer out all the plans in the months before. She was great, extremely helpful with suggestions and recommendations and would typically get back to us pretty quickly. Because of the heat we were able to utilize the carriage house for a lot of the cocktail hour which was so great. Everyone commented on how beautiful the grounds were, it's such a hidden gem! We got married on the property under the pergola which was beautiful. We also rented a dance floor for the tent which I think looked awesome and was a nice way to break up the room in the tent. The signature drink stations were great and a nice touch to have ready right after the ceremony. The food was UNREAL. We had he harvest table, BBQ station and buttered hors d'oeuvres. My husband and I unfortunately didn't get a chance to try it but everyone raved about it!!! We had the salmon pad Thai and the beef short rib, our guests could not stop raving about it. Most people said it was the best wedding food they've ever had and the best wedding they'd ever been to! I have to also comment on our band, they were incredible (Soul Patch Philly is their name) and fit perfect in the space of the tent, we had about 130 guests. Our event captains were amazing, Cindy was incredible! The night ran flawlessly. We didn't have to worry about a thing and the night flowed so incredibly. We love to dance so our night included a lot of it and it was an amazing scene dancing under the stars. All in all, it was the most incredible experience we could ever imagine and we have to thank JAM catering and the whole crew at the AWH for that. Lastly, we hooked up with the Desmond hotel for accommodations which worked out wonderfully for guest rooms and transportation. We Highly recommend this location for a rustic & elegant wedding feel with amazing food and accommodations.
So many of our guests asked how we found this place, as it was a hidden gem outside Philadelphia. It was truly an enchanted reception, even in the heat, guests had an incredible time and raved about the food through JAM catering, from the cocktail hour to the cake and even the chicken, which never receives positive comments at large events! The team at Anthony Wayne House was top notch, attentive, quick to respond and always accommodating to allow my mother and myself have endless creativity with our DIY wedding!
We just recently booked for next September and we are thrilled to have picked a venue that we know is going to help us every step of the way! We have had nothing but a pleasant experience these past few weeks and can't wait for the planning over the next year! We are lucky to have found such an beautiful venue!
We got married July 2nd, and had such an amazing experience at AWH!
The venue was even more beautiful than we remembered it - the grounds and house are impeccably clean and well groomed (so no bugs, weeds, mosquitoes!) and there are so many beautiful touches on the property that make it so special. From the farm tables, mason jar lights, string lights wrapped around the biggest tree on the property, awesome fire pit and quality.. EVERYTHING.. it looked so unique and lovely. Our friends and family couldn't stop talking about how gorgeous it was!
The team on-site was so wonderful and helpful. The food was fantastic.. we had the best day and couldn't imagine it being anywhere else!
We just got married in June and it was so beautiful! We searched for months for the perfect venue and as soon as we stepped foot at AWH we were in love and new it was the perfect place for us. And we were not disappointed! We received so many compliments about how beautiful the venue was.
My fiancé and I were struggling to find the venue that fit us. We are so happy to announce the AWH will be our venue. From the fire pit, moonlit dance floor, to the mason jar lights, the AWH screams us! We are so happy that we found this place and we are looking forward to our big day next July (2017). The venue is beyond beautiful and our coordinator is top notch. We cannot wait to have a tasting there!
My husband and I got married on April 16 (about a month ago) and held our reception at AWH. Words cannot do justice to how perfect and beautiful everything was. We lucked out with a gorgeous sunny day and our guests were just in love with AWH. We held a cocktail hour outside with live bluegrass music, followed by the dinner and dancing in the tent. Literally every detail was thought out and perfect, from the barn tables to the gorgeous cheese/fruit/harvest spread during cocktail hour (which I didn't even get to try aghhhhh), to the rustic handmade cake box, to the sweet and private bridal suite, to the beautifully landscaped but wild grounds, to the exceptional service and of course the DELICIOUS food. We got so many compliments from guests on the food from JAM catering (we offered beef brisket, salmon pad Thai, and black bean cake with veggies as our entree options).
We knew this was the place for us because of the outdoor/indoor combination. We really wanted something outdoors and natural, laid back but organized, which AWH provided, but they also have a backup rain plan in place just in case. Luckily we didn't need it. During dinner and dancing, as the weather started to cool down after sundown, the doors of the tent were closed to keep out the cold air, but guests still had access to the outside and bonfire (which I also never saw agh! Too busy dancing).
We had a very smooth planning process. We had our initial tour with Angela, who was so helpful and accommodating throughout the lead-up. At some point we were assigned to work with Lynn, one of the event managers for AWH. She was also wonderful to work with and took care of all the details and coordination leading up to the big day. Our wedding was the first of the season, and Angela even showed up during the evening to say hi and see how everything was going- so incredibly sweet.
We highly highly recommend this place, it was absolutely perfect. AWH's rental is not expensive; but as JAM Catering is the exclusive caterer, that is where it gets pricey. Just so readers are aware. Luckily, my husband and I had the help of both of our parents so between the 6 of us we could afford it, but some couples might be turned away by the catering price tag. With that said, relative to the wedding industry as a whole, it is not outrageously expensive. And I can say that it was worth it- from the quality and creativity of the dishes, to the impeccable service, I wouldn't choose anything else in hindsight. JAM also gave my parents and I a private tasting after our group tasting was rescheduled due to a blizzard, forcing my fiancé to miss it because he had to get back home (out of country).
Another noteworthy detail is the team's flexibility. As the couple has to provide the alcohol, you are able to return any unopened alcohol if you purchase from stores with a good return policy (Total Wines in Delaware). So just let the staff know not to open anything until it is being used. We were able to go back the day after the wedding to pick everything up (there were no events going on the next day).
In short: perfect day, great staff, amazing food, beautiful venue. Highly recommended!!!
The Anthony Wayne House is the best kept secret in wedding venues. From the moment we pulled onto the grounds of Anthony Wayne House, we were in love all over again. We couldn't believe that we didn't find this beautiful location earlier in our planning process. From our initial request for information, Angela and her staff were immediately responsive, scheduled a tour and provided us with all of the necessary information. After our first tour of the breathtaking grounds, we booked the venue for our May wedding. We wanted a venue that combined both elegance and a rustic appeal. Our ceremony will be held outside underneath the gorgeous pergola with the beautifully manicured landscaping as our backdrop. We are then going to move into the tent for our reception which offers lovely unique farm tables, open ceiling panels to dance under the stars and plenty of charm to our wedding theme. The venue is perfect but the food is going to be phenomenal. Jeffrey Miller Catering held a tasting last month and we were in awe with all of their creative selections and delicious pairings for every dish. The entire tasting was a wonderful experience and we left confident with our menu options. Throughout the entire process, Angela has been extremely helpful in making our dream wedding become a reality. No matter the amount of questions or ideas, Angela has guided us through with her expertise. The planning process has been flawless and stress free with Angela. As our wedding draws near, we know we are in good hands with Angela, Jeffrey Miller Catering and Anthony Wayne House. Highly recommend Anthony Wayne House & JAM!!!
So it happened. We were engaged, one of the most exciting moments of our lives! After we were coming down off cloud nine and figuring we ought to get to wedding planning, we knew the venue was the first thing we wanted to check off our list. We had a vision that we hoped and dreamed could be fulfilled. After searching throughout the city of Philadelphia, we were feeling discouraged. After all, we wanted a “Backyard BBQ wedding” or “Barn wedding”, but nothing we visited seemed to fit our hopes, outlooks, and needs! Everything we looked at was either too “ballrooms with chandeliers” or not the outdoor scene we were looking for… and quite frankly over-priced. My fiancé and I had started to doubt the possibility of being able to get married close to home (Fairmount area), and started to look at venues further and further from home. Until we came across a beautiful, picturesque, outdoor venue that was closer to Philly—The Tyler Arboretum. We immediately reached out toAngela Dilella to set up a tour of this beautiful venue! But oh no! The guest capacity was 150- and we have large families. Luckily, Angela could hear what we were envisioning for our big day and had asked us if we would like to take a look at The Anthony Wayne House. After talking to Angela about the Anthony Wayne House, we were thinking that we were already going to book the venue before we even got there. It sounded like everything we had ever wanted! And a venue that was so close to us! Farm tables, a big tent, a fire pit, an outdoor ceremony—this is it! Funny enough, my fiancé and I went to meet Angela to check out The Anthony Wayne House on one of the coldest days of 2015—Valentine’s weekend. Even though we were there during the bare bones of winter, we could totally imagine ourselves getting married there. Angela was so sweet and attentive; she listened to exactly what we were thinking and it felt like we were going to be able to have our big dream day after all. Even in the midst of winter, The Anthony Wayne House grounds looked beautiful. After Angela, showed us some pictures of what The Anthony Wayne House looked like “in season” with the beautiful green trees in bloom, we were instantly mesmerized! She left us with some yummy JAM sweets and told us to take some time to think about it and talk alone. She reminded us that there was no pressure to book that day, though told us of how popular of a venue The Anthony Wayne House had become over the past year. She left my fiancé and I alone and it was one of those moments where we looked at one another and both just felt that our search was over! This was the place! After a few months of searching, we had found our wedding venue—that had everything we wanted! Angela respected us throughout this entire process. She was such a pleasure to book with and just made us feel so comfortable about choosing this venue. We instantly knew we had made the best decision to go with the Anthony Wayne house and we can’t wait for our big day!
Our wedding is in May and we couldn't be more excited!! When looking for a venue we wanted something a little different. AWH is anything but cookie cutter! The outdoor space is beautiful for the ceremony, the reception tent has BEAUTIFUL farmhouse tables, there's even a fire pit on the grounds! Angela showed us the venue. Her genuine excitment to show us the venue made us fall in love even more then we already had.
We just had our tasting. JAM catering is going to elevate our event even more! The food was so fresh and not what you see at a typical wedding. There are so many options! We are having trouble finalizing our food choices because we want it all!
We can't wait until our special day and know it will be perfect at Anthony Wayne House!
Like most girls, My sister has been dreaming about her wedding day since she was a little girl. Once she was engaged, we immediately began scouting venues. The very first venue we looked at was The Anthony Wayne house in Paoli, pa.
Angela, the event manager, was there to greet us at the front door. She was genuinely excited to show us around. We were given a wonderfully descriptive vision of what my sisters big day could look like. One of the best parts about this venue is that there are so many creative options for laying out your wedding. Your vows could take place in the yard, on the patio of the historical house, in the tent or by the mantel. If you're looking for a rustically elegant wedding, The Anthony Wayne house is it!
Unlike a lot of venues, this one comes with everything. The catering is one of the best around. You really have everything there you, need plus more!
You can honestly tell that these people, especially Angela, care about making your day perfect. You realize that after spending time with her. What personally stood out to me were the unique and special pieces they had that most brides would have to purchase separately.
One of a kind bride and groom chairs
Engraved wooden cake stand
Barrels
Mason Jars
Beautiful Doors to walk thru
...and so much more! Angela also made sure to let us know of any requests we had and she would do her best to make it happen!
Our experience was so wonderful that my sister and her fiancé booked the place right then and there. Chelsea and Matt will officially start their lives together at this venue and we could not be happier with all the support we've gotten from their staff. Looking forward to working with them even more!
My step daughters wedding was at the AWH in November and it was fabulous. Our coordinator Angela DiLella worked closely with us to make the day smooth and memorable. The staff was professional and pleasant and the food was delicious. The venue was absolutely beautiful. We highly recommend the AWH to anyone planning a special event.
I got married this October. It rained but that didn't bother me! What bothered me was the fact that I had to have my family go to the venue the morning of my wedding because nobody knew where to put my decorations that I spent months making and organizing. That didn't help...
I walked in to start our photos and the bridal suite was full of my decorations. My coordinator was still not there. I was asked where I would like things to go....THAT IS NOT THE TIME TO ASK ME. How about COORDINATING this stuff a week before? 3 days before? NOT 2 HOURS BEFORE. All of my photos of me putting my dress on in the bridal suite have stuff in the background.
Before the ceremony started the girls went into the bridal suite to touch up make-up and hair. We hear the music start playing and see that our bridal party had already started walking out. We had no heads up that the ceremony was starting...everyone walked out of order. Groomsmen, parents, flower girls, bridesmaids, ring bearer, then me. At least I walked out last I guess.
Since it rained the staff had to transition the tent from the ceremony to the reception. I personally had drawn out the room layout and numbered the tables..pretty dummy proof, right? Well, that got messed up too. My parents were seated in the far back corner, furthest away from me.
At one point the bartenders told my guests that the bar was closed until after dinner. Uh what? I bought and brought all that alcohol. I HAD A TON LEFTOVER.
We also paid for a photo-booth. They were forced to set-up in the carriage house after cocktail hour. It wasn't worth even having. If I had known the photo-booth wasn't going to be in the main tent I would not have gotten one.
Reason #104 that I am disappointed- They ran out of food. I paid extra for a buffet. Some guests I paid for that did not show. Good thing they didn't because we really would not have had enough food.
My coordinator left after cake cutting.
At the end of the night the staff (backup coordinators?) were asking me where I wanted to put all of my stuff. CAN I ENJOY THE LAST 10 MINUTES OF MY ONE AND ONLY WEDDING PLEASE???
and I DONT KNOW. We had to ask guests that weren't taking the shuttles to take decorations and ALCOHOL home for us. Everything that we didn't take was put outside under a tarp that had to be picked up by 10. Why couldn't I just get it ALL before 10 the next morning. We get shuttles so people didn't have to drive to the venue...which means we didn't have cars there to pack our stuff.
POSITIVES- My coordinator was sweet. The venue is beautiful. They worked well to accommodate the rain. The food was delicious.
PS- From the start we got passed around to three different people. We didn't know who to contact. Eventually I had to reach out because we needed to start planning shuttles, hotels, decorations, etc.
The one lady tried to tell us the menu price we were given was cheaper because it came with plastic utensils, plates, and glassware. She lied.
In the end, a wedding is like wallpaper. No one else notices the mistakes.
"Best Wedding Ever" , family and friends can not say enough about the wonderful wedding we had at the Anthony Wayne house this past Saturday. The venue is beautiful, the food was fabulous and it all ran so smoothly because of our wedding planner Angela Dilella we can not thank her enough.
The AWH offers a total package. The location is absolutly stunning. The price and service are above average and the food...omg the food. The best wedding food I have ever had. We did Mahi and Short ribs.
Our guests were blown away. Our guests also made the wedding. We were a drinking, eating dancing crow and the AWH is built for that.
Things to remember though! Music has to be off by 11pm. Everything must go! you are not allowed to leave anything at the AWH or it will be trashed or eaten. Make sure you have a plan to get all of your personal touches out of there before you leave.
