We've been to quite a few weddings this year, I might be biased as this was our wedding - but honestly, the best coordinator, Melissa... the best food, and drinks... everything was top shelf and above and beyond expectations. I truly did not want to plan the wedding, I wanted to hire someone but this venue made it SO easy... they already work with a specific florist and bakery (both were just as great and easy) so it take a lot of stress out of the planning. The venue is gorgeous and the people who work there are absolutely spectacular. They even have a private area set up for the bride and groom to get away and take a break (plus it has a private bathroom and beautiful vanity). If you want your wedding to have incredible food and a great party atmosphere, this is the place. We had an amazing time, our guests had an amazing time. 11/10 would recommend!
We were just married at the Paxon Hollow last night and we couldn’t be happier with how everything went! First, Melissa was amazing work with – she was easygoing and professional from the start. We were originally scheduled to have our wedding in 2020 but Covid happened, and Anthony’s was most responsive and accommodating in every way possible. People told me all night how beautiful the venue was and how delicious the food was. I would highly recommend Anthony’s at Paxon if you are debating on where to have your wedding!
AMAZING. AMAZING. AMAZING. The team at Anthony’s took all of the stress and worry of our day away! Even when we hit a few bumps in the road they stayed calm and collected and offered their help in any way possible. The venue is BEAUTIFUL and the food was incredible! Our guests said it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding!!!!
Our wedding planning experience and wedding at Anthony's was everything we dreamed of and more. We were so lucky with the April weather and could take full advantage of the patio for cocktail hour, and our photos we were able to take on the golf course were beautiful. Melissa, the event manager/coordinator at Paxon, was great to work with, always responsive to communication, and put us at ease that all the little details would fall in place. The food was fantastic (it's been two months and there are things people are still talking about!) and the food/drink service was great throughout the cocktail hour and reception. All of the servers were so friendly, warm, and interactive which was great! We are so happy we went with Paxon as our reception venue! The recent renovations and upgrades they had done are beautiful!
Great venue and great people to work with! Melissa was a true pleasure to work with. The venue is beautiful, food and service was awesome. I highly recommend this venue for any special occasion!!
Our wedding day was an absolute dream thanks to Anthony’s. We truly could not be any happier hosting our family and friends here.
We asked for a million things during the planning process, and I don’t think we were ever told “no” to any of our requests. Melissa was incredible to work with, and every single staff member was friendly, attentive, and beyond amazing.
One of the reasons we selected Anthony’s was for how easy their all-inclusive package made planning which included a ton of food, 5 hours open bar, custom wedding cake, fresh floral centerpieces, uplighting, a roomy bridal suite, onsite ceremony option, etc. So worth it. The florist (The Bouquet Shop) and bakery (Bredenbeck’s) Anthony’s is partnered with were fantastic to work with as well.
All the reviews I found mentioned how good the food is, and you’re probably thinking “yeah sure it’s good, but it’s wedding food how good can it be.” I’m here to tell you it is THAT good. Guests are still raving, and I’m having dreams about the scallops at cocktail hour.
The patio overlooking the golf course was the most beautiful setting for our cocktail hour, and our photos from the golf course are dreamy. There are too many other small touches and pros to list here, so I’ll just sum up this review with a 10,000/ 10 star rating.
P.S. They host a ton of showers and other events too.
Anthony’s at Paxon Hollow was absolutely wonderful! Melissa, the banquet manager was fantastic! She handled all our questions and issues during the pandemic with compassion and professionalism. She exceeded my expectations for my daughter’s wedding! The food, service and atmosphere were exceptional! Look no further when booking your wedding because you cannot get any better than this. Thank you for such a special day
From the beginning of our wedding planning process, Anthony's at Paxon Hollow stood out. They were professional, endlessly interested in giving us exactly what we wanted, and made it all feel easy. I knew that having our wedding at Paxon Hollow Country Club was going to be the easiest choice of the entire year. Melissa, our point person and coordinator, was the most flexible and understanding person we worked with. Even when we decided to move forward with our wedding amidst the uncertainty of Covid-19, Melissa easily gave us small ways to make our day run smoother and make our guests 100% comfortable. She ensured safe social distancing, implemented well researched infection prevention on all fronts, and followed each mandated regulation without compromising the beauty of our event. The food was incredible, the new ballroom renovations were stunning, and each detail was perfectly orchestrated. Our guests were raving for weeks! If you choose Anthony’s at Paxon Hollow, it will be the easiest choice of your entire wedding process!
I would first like to start by saying that this venue is absolutely beautiful and it basically sold itself with its amazing golf course views and delicious food. Now with that being said, do not book this venue unless you want poor communication and promises that aren’t followed through. When we originally signed our contract there were two wedding coordinators. We really loved how outgoing and professional P was and we couldn’t wait to work with him. Months before the wedding I called with some questions only to find out from someone in the restaurant staff that P moved to their other location and would no longer be working with us and that it would now be just M. Not a big deal. Leading to the the weeks before the wedding, the communication was very poor. My MIL dropped off our final payment the Saturday before our wedding and M wasn’t there so she had to leave it with another employee which did not make us feel comfortable. We were not given a receipt so I emailed immediately telling her we dropped it off and would like confirmation that she received it. The first email was sat and multiple other emails were sent between then and the Wed before my wedding and all went unanswered. I finally broke down and called there (she had asked me not to call because she preferred email) and she answered the phone and all I got was “yeah I was about to call you, I’ve been so busy”. After spending the amount of money we did that was INFURIATING to hear but I decided to let it go. Now the day of our wedding, the weather was absolutely beautiful. The beginning of our day started out a little hectic as we got a little behind on schedule (not the venues fault). Nothing was more upsetting to me as a bride then preparing to walk down the isle and seeing a ton of my guests standing and without a seat. When we booked the venue we were told that the patio could hold a max of 200 people. Our final head count ended up being 165. 18 of which didn’t need a chair because they were the wedding party and we were all standing up front. I was heart broken to start my walk down the isle seeing how many of our guests had to stand the whole time. Following the ceremony the wedding party went for photos. A big reason we loved the venue was the amazing golf course and all of the photo opportunities that came with it. Upon booking we were told we would be given golf carts so the wedding party could take advantage of every location. As we were getting ready to head out M told us she could only give us 2 golf carts which really made me angry. Why promise things you can’t follow through on? So we ended up being able to get a few more golf carts but not enough for the whole wedding party to be able to use. With that being said we were unable to travel around the golf course for photos and could only use one location at the bottom of the hill. That was so upsetting to me. After the photos were taken we went back to the ballroom and had to go right to to the bridal suite for announcements. Once dinner was served and everyone ate it was time to dance. We had two bars set up. One was the main bar and one was a second bar that we had set up on the other side of the ballroom. That second bar was poorly stocked so a lot of guests ended up having to go to the main bar and they started closing it the second bar down before the reception was even over. Overall I was left with a bad taste and would have chosen a different location had I known the extra stress it would have caused
AMAZING! Melissa was absolutely excellent and so helpful throughout the process from start to finish, including the day of! We were surprisingly running ahead of schedule all day, we actually started the ceremony early. By the time we arrived at Paxon (at least 30-45 minutes early) the final details were still being put in place but the staff was super helpful and allowed us to drop our belongs and get a jump on photos outside. We actually were able to attend our whole cocktail hour. The day was gorgeous and all the guests LOVED the food. Good food and a great atmosphere were extremely important to me and Melissa and the Anthony's team delivered 110%. To top it off the new renovations to the venue are amazing!
Paxon was great along the whole way with my wedding. We were able to bring our own things for our candy buffet favors. They set everything up the way I had sent pictures. Two downfalls: while the bridal party waited in the bridal sweet, not every food item that we picked made it up to us. Also, DO NOT BUY the Viennese dessert table. There was desserts for about 1/4 of what we paid for it. Other than that, food was phenomenal and everyone had a blast!
9-9-2018 Lea B/H After visiting several other venues I was nervous, we'd never fin the perfect place for our wedding. However, Anthony's at Paxon Hollow was perfect! Melissa D helped us from start to finish preparing our special day. Beautiful decor, flowers, cake, the table settings and more. Even our taste testing of the food menu was incredible. The Bridal suite as to die for!!! On Sept 9,2018, it rained and was 59 degrees. This did not stop Anthony's from providing the best wedding ever! They set up for the ceremony then moved all the tables back for our dinner and dancing. As for our Wedding coordinator for our day Pat was literally our go to guy. From Changing our ceremony from outside to inside, to the bride and groom both being served by Pat, never having to leave our guest for a moment. I can never say enough good things about Anthony's/Paxon
Had our beautiful wedding yesterday with Anthony’s Paxon Hollow. We held our ceremony there as well and the view was breathtaking. As a highly anxious bride, Melissa would get back to me immediately when i had questions or to ease my concern. The bridal suite was newly renovated and was beautiful. They had set us up with mimosas, coffee and water prior to us arriving VERY EARLY that morning so that our beauty stylists had enough time to complete Hair and makeup on time. Melissa was familiar with all vendors i booked with and had a great networking relationship with them which made our lives easier when it came to the communication plan. The food was amazing and all guests raved about it - especially the cheesesteak bar! During the reception - my husband and I and our parents were waited on hand and foot. Anything we needed they were there. Melissa and Pat went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. It was the best day of our lives. Couldn’t be happier
After a disaster with our original venue (building a hotel in our ceremony space), we called Paxon to see if they had the same date available since the save-the-dates already went out. They were extremely helpful and reassuring and they did have the date available so we booked it immediately. Everything was amazing they were so accommodating!
We were extremely happy with our wedding at Anthony's at Paxon. We worked with both Pat and Melissa, they answered all questions that we had, helped us make sure all of the little details we wanted were taking care of, and kept us appraised of everything that was going on and made sure everything went smoothly. My wedding was everything I wished it could be and it was in large part to everyone at Paxon Hollow.
We just had our wedding here on 6-18-17, and it was absolutely beautiful and perfect in every way!
Melissa was our coordinator, and we began working with her back in 2016 - she was always responsive to our e-mails, and whenever we went in, she was more than pleasant and attentive.
Yes, they had been doing renovations, but they were 100% completed by the time we had our wedding ... and the wait was worth it!! The patio expansion was awesome - our guests sat in a half-moon around the pergola, so everyone had a good view of the ceremony (and the beautiful greens)! The flowers they have planted outside are a really nice touch and saved us from having to spend tons of money to decorate the patio with flowers ourselves!
Brides - the new Bridal Suite is POSH, elegant, and you may not want to leave it to get married! All my ladies LOVED it! We hung out there for a few hours before the ceremony - eating some light bites, drinking champagne, getting dressed, having our pictures taken ... all away from the eyes of my Groom. Perfect!
Jenna and John were our coordinators the day of the wedding (and the previous day for our rehearsal), and they were the best. Never intrusive, but always right there with a drink or to keep things flowing appropriately. They were really cool and a lot of fun! My mother even loved Jenna and my mother can be a tough person to please.
All our guests loved Anthony's - they commented on how beautiful it was, how good the food was, how EXCELLENT the staff was, and what a perfect perfect wedding we had.
When most people stay until 9:30/10:00 PM on a *Sunday* wedding (on Father's Day, no less!) ... you know the venue did a really really good job!
We had to leave some things there overnight, and when we came back the next day to pick them up, Pat (the owner - we'd met him on numerous occasions before, including our wedding day) was there to talk with us. All our belongings were safe and sound.
I feel badly that others didn't have a great experience like we did, but ... just ask my bridesmaids (all of whom are or have been married) - they were IMPRESSED!!
Thank you Anthony's! Thank you Pat, Melissa, Jenna, John, and everyone who had a hand in our wedding - you made our day!!!

BRIDES PLEASEEEEEEEEEE DON'T BOOK WITH THIS VENUE!! We booked with this venue in the beginning of my engagement after meeting with Pat. He spent the entire meeting discussing all the lovely renovations that would be done prior to our wedding taking place. Pat said that the renovations would be done over the summer (well before my wedding would take place in June the following year). A few months later (after little communication from my initial meeting with Pat) we had our food tasting. The food tasting was an absolute disaster. From the food being disgusting and bland and tasting like high school cafeteria food, to receiving a $60 check afterwards because our mothers came even though everyone literally shared the same plate of food. We were completely livid. But the icing on the cake was the zero renovations that still hadn’t been done, months after we paid the deposit (renovations that Melissa had no clue about). The very next day we spoke to Pat. He refused to give the refund of the $60 even after we provided emails of my correspondences with Melissa. Also, after first denying his renovations convo with my husband and I he then flat out said that no renovations would be done due to licensing issues. We felt like we were scammed. Based off how the venue actually looks, we would have never booked. The carpets are dingy and old, and the room where the wedding ceremony and reception are held looks outdated. And the prices aren’t even reasonable. We just thought that after Pats description of renovations that we would have a beautiful venue and it would all be worth it. We ended up immediately firing the venue and getting our deposit back. THE MORAL OF THE STORY IS DONT BOOK WITH PAXON HOLLOW. From Pat being a con artist, to Melissa they are just horrible and honestly seem as if they don’t fully comprehend customer service. Two weeks after firing Paxon Hollow, we booked with Regal Ballroom and we just got married on June 10th. They were literally the polar opposite of Paxon Hollow. Netty, and Chris were so amazing and attentive. The food at the food tasting was amazing, we were allowed to bring our moms, the entire venue was brand new and by the wedding day they had even made some tweaks to the bridal suite, we were able to keep the same date as before, had a million times better customer service, and paid a lot less then Paxon Hollow.
P.S. See Dan’s May 2017 review on wedding wire where he also outlines the poor customer service, the horrible food, and the “renovations” that Pat is promising to everyone
Don't. They double booked our date. Told us a month later after they cashed our deposit, after we started paying for dated wedding items. We had to change our date. It rained all day on the new date (thanks for that). From this point to 2 wks before our day there was little communication. Emailed questions were mostly answered eventually but not turned around in reasonable amount of time. They started an addition 5 mos before our date. It wasn’t fully completed by our day (unstained grand stair case, bridal suite had no furniture and 1 mirror leaning on wall). Were told repetitively it would be done before our arrival and still wasn’t. Stories changed depending on whom you were speaking with. At certain points we were outright lied to. Set up our own lanterns outside the night before. Asked coordinator (only request) if they could turn on, and attach the small lights that accompany them before we arrived. None had lights in them when we arrived. They blamed it on the wind. Lights were still in bag sitting outside on the balcony in the middle of the reception. “Her” drink was missing garnishes (slice of pineapple and a maraschino cherry). We even provided our own in case they didn’t have any. They just used a lime. Again, no effort or customer service attempt made. We provided signs for them to hang on the back our chairs before we arrived since “they set EVERYTHING up inside the venue for us”. Signs were still in the package when we left the reception. We brought painted initials to place around the cake table. They were falling all over each other when we arrived. Also provided 2 decorations to have on our table. One was missing when we arrived. Provided zero guidance at the cake cutting. Coordinators nowhere to be found, had to wait until MIL found one of them. Confronted and lied and said the photographer typically gives instruction. Photographer said he’d never done that before. If you want poor/sporadic communication and lousy customer service, choose AoP.
Our wedding on April 9th at Anthony's at Paxon was WONDERFUL! Working with Melissa over the year before our wedding was the easiest part of the process. She was very accommodating and answered all of my questions in a timely manner. When we had to relocate the wedding ceremony indoors because it was snowing and freezing instead of warm and sunny, the staff was on top of it and gave us our options at the rehearsal so that we could plan ahead. Everyone raved about how delicious the food was (in fact, they are STILL telling me how good it was!) We could not have ended up with a better venue. Thank you, Melissa, Pat, and the staff at Anthony's!
The Coordinator: Melissa helped us plan our medium sized wedding (79 people) from beginning to end. She was patient, kind, and quick to respond to my emails and phone calls. She was also very flexible with meeting with me in person to go over questions. Melissa was honest and I felt very confident depending on her. I trusted her with arranging the decorations, and when I saw the ballroom on the wedding day, everything was flawless.
The Ballroom: Anthony's ballroom has been renovated, and in three words, I would describe it as elegant, bright, and calm. I had my wedding in the afternoon, and the ballroom provided us with everything we ever wanted: bright, natural lights and neutral colored chairs and table settings. The space was perfect...not too big nor too small.
The Service: The service was good! I wished they had served our parents first, but that was an error on our part for not communicating that first.
The Food: We had a buffet styled lunch and everyone's favorite was the salmon. Chicken, vegetables, and potatoes were also fresh and tasty. Our cake was served with an amazing vanilla bean ice cream.
All in all, everyone had a grand time...especially me and my husband!
I couldn't have asked for more in a wedding venue! Melissa, our wedding coordinator, was extremely helpful, kind, and accommodating throughout all of the planning and during the entire day. The food was delicious, and the venue itself is stunning, inside and out. So many of our guests said it was the best wedding they've been to! The day was absolutely perfect, I would recommend Anthony's at Paxon Hollow to anyone planning a wedding!
I helped plan my sister's 2014 wedding and this venue was amazing. We planned it in 4 months and they were so easy to work with. The ballroom is beautiful, food and service are wonderful. Big thanks to Melissa and Pat! Not one complaint and highly recommend.
Promised one thing delivered another. Guests did not eat together. Some guests, the most important that were in the wedding party didn't get a meal at all.
My engagement was 2 yrs and 7 months before my wedding I was contacted that Paxon ha switched catoring companies. I must say I was slightly worried and anxious with the change but my day was more perfect than words can describe. The food was fantastic, the employees were always on top of keeping me, my husband and guests happy, content an with clean tables. The service was exceptional and the employees were so helpful and kind. Melissa was always available by email, phone etc leading up to our big day and especially the day of. More than happy!
Paxon Hollow Country Club was perfect for our wedding of 200 guests. The outdoor patio (with a brand-new awning) overlooking the golf course is breathtaking and the high ceilings set Paxon Hollow apart from other country clubs. All of my guests complimented the food and Joe Farrell was flexible and supportive of all of our needs. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue.
I can't say enough good things about our experience with Paxon Hollow. The setting was beautiful (I particularly loved the patio overlooking the golf course) and the food was great. Everyone there was amazing, especially the banquet manager Joe Farrell who made planning easy and bent over backwards for us, and he was a huge part of why our reception went off without a hitch. I would recommend Paxon Hollow to anyone!
The wedding coordinator walked you through the entire process. The food and service were excellent! Our guests were extremely satisfied. And the ballroom is just beautiful. High ceilings and light decor.
They really work with you in terms of pricing. Our package included over 12 items during the cocktail hour, open bar... at a very good price. Other places could not beat their package.
The dining room has windows on three sides that offer a beautiful view onto a large covered patio area for cocktails. Beyond the patio are sweeping views of the lush green golf course beyond and large old trees that provide just enough shade and a beautiful backdrop for photos.
