We received so many compliments from guests on how much they loved our venue! The water views and spaciousness of the lawn/tent are sublime. Everything looked just as I dreamed it....
We did have to do most of the planning, rentals, and finding vendors ourselves, but since we had people in mind we wanted to use, that's exactly what my husband and I wanted.
We did have a couple issues a few weeks before the wedding with the events coordinator leaving and some tables previously offered to us becoming unavailable. However, they were extremely apologetic and ended up providing us quite a discount to make it up to us.

y issue is, they provide nothing. Everything has to be rented from other vendors. And they charge you extra for removing the picnic tables in the tent! I didn't have great luck getting a hold of the events coordinator on site all through the planning process, although everyone else at the museum was very helpful. The museum required a lot of extra planning and organizing on my part, but in the end, it was definitely worth it! Use your resources and the previous vendors that have been used at the museum.
