My dress was complicated with many layers of fabric, lace and beadwork but she was able to take off the long train, even the length of the dress and use the leftover material to created custom sleeves in my dream style. In our fitting sessions she worked with me to design the sleeves to my specifications and she gave suggestions and design advice that helped make my ideas even better. The final result was absolutely stunning. I got compliments all night long and people thought I was wearing a vintage dress. You would never know looking at the skirt that it had ever had a train, so seamlessly did it come together and flow as I danced. Maria is a fantastic seamstress and designer and I highly recommend her for all of your alteration needs!

I brought my wedding dress to Maria three months before my wedding day, and she thanked me about three times for doing so! The shop was very cute, and everyone wore a mask which was great. Maria and her staff helped get me into my wedding dress and I stood in front of the mirror. Maria asked me to tell her what I wanted done, and she pinned/ made notes accordingly. Then, she asked if she could give me her suggestions. She did and they made such a significant difference- they were things I had not really thought of before. There was a small deposit required upon drop off, and what was great was that they broke down each part of the total cost- the transparency is always helpful and appreciated. She showed me the calendar and gave me a time frame in which I should come back and let me pick what worked best for me (two months from drop off, one month before wedding). At my next appointment, my dress had been transformed, and I was so happy. The only thing that wasn’t done was adding back my lace hem, because she wanted to double check that the length was going to be appropriate with my shoes. The alterations turned out beautifully and she was spot on with what she recommended. At that point, I was allowed to have another fitting if I wanted it, or I could just pick up the dress a few days before the wedding. I opted not to do another fitting but having that choice was nice. In the COVID era that we are in, I did not know if I would need a mask for my wedding, so I had asked Maria to make one for me. She said she would use scraps from my dress to make it, so that it would match. She fitted me for a mask, which I appreciated, because so many store- bought masks are ill fitting. When I picked up my dress, she had not yet finished the mask. Maria very kindly delivered it to me at my hotel, after her shop closed for the day. This kind of service and attention to detail is hard to find, and she really helped to make my wedding day special in a dress that I felt confident in that was really fitted to my body. Maria does more than just wedding gowns, there were other customers getting work done on other garments. I think that Maria also does custom jobs too, but you would have to ask her specifically. If I ever need a custom job, or other alterations done, I would go back to Maria right away and would gladly recommend her to anyone!

and then to pick it up. In addition to steaming my dress, Maria also did my veil so it was great to have them both together. Highly recommend Maria for any alterations you may have!!

But Maria was quick to correct the mistake, finding my dress and delivering it to my house only an hour later (and in rush hour traffic). After the consultation I was told that I needed more done than I thought, so I decided to pay the deposit and left my dress there. I looked at the receipt (which had no total on it) and it said my alterations would be $850. I was shocked and felt sick that my custom fit dress would necessitate such cost. I called Maria back who told me that if I did not get the alterations She suggested that I would look ugly. I was very upset and distraught because I had already paid so much to get a dress that would fit well. I ended up deciding to not have any alterations done except for the bustle and cups added in, which I think made Maria a bit upset. When I came to pick up my dress the buttons for the bustle were uneven and the dress was completely dirty covered in hair and threads all over it. I'm upset because of the great ratings she has and I trusted her work would be good. I recommend getting other consultations before if you have time.

My dress was a sample gown and wayyy too tight, Maria literally worked a miracle and my dress fit perfectly. Wedding dress alterations anywhere will be pricey, but she is well worth the price. Working with Maria will put your mind at ease so you can focus on other wedding planning.

After meeting Maria, I felt completely confident in her ability to do the alterations and she took time to listen to every one of my concerns (trust me, I had plenty). We loved Maria so much, that my mother (who lives in New York), brought her dress to Maria for alterations. The dress fit perfectly, was very flattering, and extremely comfortable. I didn’t want to take it off!

She could take the dress (about 2 or 3 sizes too small for me) and work it from very clearly a 1930s dress into a modern, elegant, 1930s-inspired dress which fit me PERFECTLY and was restored beautifully. Maria was prompt in responding via email, she was always on-time for appointments and kept things moving, and she just so clearly knew what she was doing that I never once felt nervous as she cut up a 79 year old vintage dress in front of my eyes! She was completely confident and not afraid to give suggestions which was super helpful to me, since I am NOT a seamstress and didn't always know how to explain what I wanted properly. Maria is reasonably priced for a super high quality service! I cannot recommend Maria and the Anytime Alterations staff enough - I'd trust that woman with the queen's gowns. Take your dress here, you will not be disappointed.

e body of the dress did not require alteration. My veil needed to be cleaned and Maria separated the "Juliet" cap from the veil -- a great move! I wore the veil for the traditional church ceremony and wore just the cap for the reception. I had to move one of my appointments around and Maria was very flexible. She was very responsive over email. I highly recommend her service! I felt so comfortable and beautiful on my wedding day!

s to make it a sweetheart top that was strapless. The dress came out beautiful. Maria is expensive, with everything it was $1750. I could have bought a new dress for that. The work and detail were great. The one issue I had was that Maria kept the material from my mom's original dress. When I asked her about it, first she acted like she didn't know what I was talking about, then she said she didn't know what happened to it. I am very upset about that. She basically stole the fabric and lied. That fabric was amazing quality and was preserved for 40 years. I am disappointed in what happened.

two months before my wedding date. I bought a sample size dress in Dec. that needed a hem and bustle. It was tight but zipped up. Maria told me it was too small and needed to be taken out. She ended up taking it way out. She didn't warn me that taking it out would remove the belt detailing and cause it loose the definition in my waist. At my second fitting, the waist was about two inches loose. She could fit her whole hand down the back of my dress and the belt did not go back around. She was concerned about the "dress pulling" around my waist. I went back the following week and told her to take it back in. She did, added cups, and a new zipper. She also didn't ask me how much I actually wanted to hem the dress and the first time she placed the bustle, it was too low. I misread her estimate of the cost b/c I didn't realize that taking out the sides and waist were two different charges. She also didn't double check with me about the new zipper or cups, for an extra $80. I looked beautiful on my wedding day, but I should have sought a second opinion. My advice: treat a tailor like a mechanic. If he/she says that you "need" something you had no idea about, seek a second opinion. I had plenty of time and the alterations that I definitely needed (hem and bustle) would have been about $250-300.

I wanted to be able to actually dance in it. She suggested adding two darts to the top and a wire to shape the bust flush to me. I couldn't have been happier with the results! The price was reasonable and results were amazing. Took about 8 weeks total for the alterations. I would recommend her without hesitation for any alteration needs. She is highly skilled and knowledgeable about her trade!

I knew she was going to do a fabulous job and she definitely did! Luckily for me my dress came out of the box fitting me like a glove, so she just did the bustle and a tiny repair job on the sparkly belt. The dress and veil were pressed and ready to go Friday afternoon and it was perfect for my Saturday afternoon wedding! The $50 discount from finding her at the bridal show definitely helped as well! I would definitely recommend Maria and Anytime Alterations to anyone needing alterations.

igh school and even sewed her own wedding dress, was very impressed with this woman and the way she measured us and pinned the dresses. Actually, I think this is the only vendor my mom was happy with haha. And the dresses did turn out perfect. My bridesmaid is almost completely flat chested (AA) but this woman was able to make the v neck dress not look gappy at all. Oh, did I mention I waited until the last minute and only gave her 3-4 weeks to do this? Of course I paid the extra rush fee (my fault for waiting so long obviously) but her prices were very very reasonable overall. And she made my veil for less than $100. Also, her unique bustle idea looked fabulous. She paid attention to detail and took her time to listen to exactly what I wanted and was very patient. I'm taking my dress back there to have it cleaned and preserved as well.

h vision! I came to Maria in under FOUR months before our wedding with a dress I adored & loved yet it truly needed alterations to compliment my body type. Having "heard online" that Maria would be the expert on bridal gown alterations, I scheduled the initial appointment and booked her to care for and "treat" the wedding gown so that it would be perfect for our wedding day. Maria did such a wonderful job with the alterations and providing a "double bustle" for the back of the gown (for after-ceremony festivities during the reception dinner, like, walking, etc.). Everyone adored the dress and I got so many compliments for it. I know the gown was beautiful already, but Maria made it look like magic on me: it fit like a glove and everyone noticed. Maria was so wonderful and even helped me place the dress in the car when I picked it up for the wedding and she's so personable that she even gave me a congratulatory hug and well-wishes. She may be a bit pricey on the alterations, but Maria truly delivers if you want a perfect wedding gown for your wedding day. Hands-down.

Maria to replicate the gown for me. She never even took my measurements -- she literally throws cloth over your head and starts cutting and pinning until you and she arrive at the desired shape. I purchased the fabrics for my gown online and Maria created a lovely dress for me. I thoroughly enjoyed working with her over the course of 7 months with multiple fittings and meetings to ensure that I was happy with the results of her expert work. The dress was beautifully made and I received a lot of compliments on it during my wedding. It fit perfectly, was comfortable to wear, and I really liked working with Maria. at the bottom and was only $100!), and the alterations people at DB said the bubble could be lost (which was the main reason I loved the dress) if they hemmed it a few inches. Maria was able to hem it (I'm only 5'1, so hemming was necessary!) and keep the bubble form perfectly intact/looking brand new! She also added in more material so I wouldn't have to wear a slip and it made the dress puff out more so less hemming was needed and held the bubble form. I also added small crystals and glass beads to the top part of my dress (it was simple with the top sweetheart cut rouched and the bubble train bottom) which was just perfect, and she didn't charge extra for that labor (I brought in the crystals/beads -- they matched what was in my veil). She is definitely honest and will tell you how things are, so be prepared for blunt advice/suggestions from her and try not to take it personally -- she is good at what she does and she certainly knows what works best for your dress! She also made a bolero for my mom's dress (my mom found the material and she stitched it for her) which was great; my mom was very happy. The alterations of course were more than what my dress costed ($180 for hemming alone) and I had her press my dress ($80), and the final price ended up about $500 - still, a bargain for a dress total price if you find a simple one you want to dazzle up! She may forget things that you discuss with her the first time you meet (we were supposed to avoid hemming, but she seemed to just do it anyway..) and she is usually pressured for time when you come in for a fitting. But I definitely recommend her for wedding dress alterations! She did a great job. *Happy Bride*
