My husband and I came across Apollo Fotografie online and we immediately loved their photojournalism style and their pictures, videos were stunning. Upon meeting Liv, we were so excited to work together—she is so wonderful, efficient, fast, and helpful, we felt at ease immediately and in good hands with her artistic vision and immense experience! Liv took our engagement photos at Lands End in SF, and they were absolutely stunning. She caught the golden hour and has wonderful experience with the best spots around to take pictures, posing us (two people who didn’t know what to do or how to take photos together in a non-awkward way), but she somehow made us look greater than we could’ve ever imagined! We had Liv and Shane for photo and Jordan for video, for our wedding and reception at Garre winery in Livermore and they were simply incredible! They all captured moments that we didn’t even know they captured, when we saw the pictures (super fast and only 2 weeks after the day!) we were stunned and so thankful we had them on board to capture our special day. The life, action, and moments they captured were amazing and we truly couldn’t have asked for better photos. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with a photo team either—Apollo is immensely professional, experienced for all kinds of weddings (especially cultural weddings, ours was an Indian Hindu wedding), they have incredible vision and art, are very talented working with people to pose them, thoughtful, efficient/fast, thorough, and organized. All the wedding calls before the day were very efficient, helpful for us to plan the day, and they raised incredible questions that improved our wedding day plan and made it even more memorable. Even when we were running late the day of, they were all incredible adaptive and helped ease us, and still take the most incredible portraits and all the photos we hoped for. Apollo is truly the best wedding photographers in San Francisco. They really took time to know us and work with our needs, in a very passionate and enthusiastic way. All of our family and friends were stunned with their work and their interactions with them the day of, and we were so lucky and happy with the whole experience and value they added to our special day! Would highly, highly recommend anyone to work with them—you will not be disappointed and you will be amazed with their work, personality, energy, flexibility, professionalism, and happiness they will add to your wedding!

Despite their rating, hiring Apollo was the biggest regret of our wedding. The owners did not shoot our wedding, and the photographer they sent was not the same quality as their portfolio. For our Sikh ceremony, there are multiple shots where one of our faces is out of focus. Family photos were taken in a parking lot, and you can tell. Most disappointing was the lack of accountability by the owners, who dismissed my concerns and made no good faith attempts at a remedy. Even the process of getting prints was a money hustle, where you are pressured to purchase more before even seeing proofs. We couldn't even look or share our pictures for months because we were so disappointed by the pictures and Apollo's response. Not worth the money.

We were so glad to have Apollo Fotografie as part of our wedding providing both photo and video services! Before our wedding we had the privilege of planning with our main photographer, Arlene, who was extremely thorough and gave us a lot of peace in our planning process. On the day of, Arlene and her photo partner Melania did an amazing job capturing special moments and guiding us along the day! I also have to highlight how patient they were with everything that popped up that day. We would definitely be thrilled to recommend Apollo to anyone looking for a photographer and think they really fit the bill as the best wedding photographer in San Francisco!

Liv is awesome and honestly the best wedding photographer in San Francisco! We had a Western-themed wedding at Longbranch Saloon & Farms, and had the honor of having our special day documented by her creative genius! The venue itself is so unique and cool- we wanted to make sure that we had a photographer that would be able to capture the magic of the venue and the fun vibes we were going for. Liv exceeded our expectations! She effortlessly captured the special moments between me and my husband as well as our guests. From tears on the first look, to the roller coaster of a ceremony and laughter on the dance floor- every emotion was carefully documented by her. What sets Liv apart is her ability to not only take perfect photos but also to make everyone feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera. For our wedding at Casa Real in Pleasanton, CA, we had the incredible pleasure of being photographed by Liv and Jasmine at Apollo Fotografie. Apollo was hands down the best photographers we could have asked for. We did our engagement shoot with Liv, Andra shot a pre-wedding party, and Liv and Shane joined us for 2 days of wedding ceremonies and receptions. We felt so unbelievably comfortable at very shoot... a huge accomplishment for us 2 awkward models! Liv told us their style was photojournalism so we shouldn't expect to be interrupted a lot during our events, and boy was that true! As we were reviewing the photos, we kept saying "Did you even realize they were there?" The shots were everything we hoped they'd be: artistic captures of the moment. Apollo Fotografie was on our venue's preferred vendors list, and they proved why they were at the top from start to finish. I would easily consider them the best wedding photographers/videographers in the SF bay area. Liv was our point of contact throughout the entire process and she was very responsive through email and was more than happy to schedule a call to go through logistics or any concerns we had. My wife was worried about potentially not getting everything she had in mind, and Apollo was more than happy to listen to all of our requests and concerns, and gave examples of exactly what she was looking for and how it would work out in the timeline. It was apparent from the very beginning that we had nothing to worry about and had full trust in Apollo Fotografie. They are all professionals and have a great history at so many venues within the bay area. Liv and Jasmine were our photographers, and Alexa and Reese were our videographers. They were all really accommodating and had great instructions through the whole day of the wedding. The entire day felt incredibly efficient as they knew the exact positions, angles, poses, and time things should happen. In terms of working with them, we heard nothing but praise from our bridal party. They were incredibly pleasant to be with and had fun. Even during the reception when everyone is out and about, there were a ton of great photos they took that I didn't even notice they were there for. And while I was talking to guests, I recall there were multiple occasions where Jasmine was nearby to take any requests I had. It goes without saying that I never had to hunt anyone down to grab a photo when I asked. After just a few days, Liv sent us a preview of a few photos which were stunning. We were actually surprised the fully edited video of the day was finished about 1 month after the wedding and it exceeded every single one of our expectations. It was done masterfully that we had no complains or requests for any edits. The full album of photos came a few weeks after and again, it was more beautiful than we could have imagined. Ultimately, Apollo proved why they are the best around in every aspect. The communication, professionalism, knowledge, coordination, photography/videography, and editing were all above and beyond. In addition, the album they provide was probably the highest quality printout I have ever seen and felt. The texture of the pages and the color of the photos is next to none. Apollo Fotografie is hands down the best photography company I have worked with! Andra absolutely captured the joy and magic of our wedding day. My husband and I are from the east coast and made the daring decision to fly across the county and elope in San Francisco. Once we picked the destination, our number one task was to find a photographer who would capture one of the most important days in our lives together. It felt daunting at first, not knowing from personal referrals who the main contenders should be. But with help from other reviews online, we found Apollo Fotografie. From the moment we happened upon their website, we knew we had found a special team. When we first spoke to Liv, we felt heard in what we wanted our vision to be. Liv listened and understood and was genuinely excited to help us curate the style. Liv paired us with a fabulous photo/video team. We truly loved working with Mikie (photo) and Jordan (video) the day of our wedding. They both made us feel so comfortable and at ease in front of the lens. The prompts they gave us were a great mix of serious and fun and the diversity in that really highlighted special moments of love. At the end of the day, our closest family who made the journey even mentioned how professional and non-invasive Mikie and Jordan were throughout the event. Our families have been to some weddings where the photo/video blocked everything; with our they almost forgot Mikie and Jordan were there during the ceremony! That being said, they still captured every small detail and brilliant moment. We recently received our photos back and when we reviewed them our jaws hit the floor. Mikie was able to capture such wonderful memories and it truly felt like we were being transported back in time. She knew all the right angles and spots in City Hall. Her skill is unmatched and provided us with breathtaking memories. We can’t wait to see Jordan’s film work when our video comes in. Can we do a 10 star review? If we could, we would!! Liv was our lead photographer and there honestly aren't enough words in the english language to do this review justice! The second we met Liv, we knew this was going to be an amazing fit. Every step of the way, from our engagement shoot, to our venue walk-through, and our wedding day, she and the entire Apollo team have been a DREAM to work with! The entire group was fun and easy to be around (which is VERY important on wedding day). We really only interacted with Liv from the jump and she helped us with multiple pre-wedding photoshoots, our videography package questions, getting us set up with a photo-booth (which was a huge hit during our reception), and SO much more! She was always professional and super quick to respond to our many (seriously....so many) questions and always did so with kindness and understanding. And then, to top it all off, all of our pre-wedding, and wedding photos are GORGEOUS!!!! Completely blew our expectations out of the water and we are so so so so happy we chose Liv and the Apollo team. Honestly could not be happier!!

My husband and I are so, so grateful to have found Apollo for our wedding photography needs. My husband initially booked them for our proposal (and did so last minute, when another photographer ghosted him) and they were super communicative and flexible leading up to the proposal and the day of. We decided after that to use Apollo and the same photographer (Terilyn) for our engagement photo session and wedding as well, which made us really comfortable with them and made communication and coordination simple. Terilyn is INCREDIBLE - she is fun, bubbly, comes with great ideas and produces gorgeous work. She was open to all of my ideas and brought some of her own as well. Communicating with Liv in operations was great as well, everything was super organized and clear and I was really grateful for the resources and timelines they provided. On the day of our wedding, Terilyn and our second shooter, Larry, helped keep us on schedule and everything ran so smoothly + they worked really well with our videographer (who was not from Apollo). Our photos are all SO beautiful and cherished and we couldn't be happier. Going with a videographer was a big decision for us, and Apollo hands down delivered an amazingly smooth experience the day of. The team was professional and friendly, and working with them made what should have been an extremely stressful day very easy. My wife and I cannot recommend Apollo enough for what they did for us. My husband and I eloped from Texas to San Francisco for our civil ceremony last March and I was initially very nervous about picking photography service in a strange city. Apollo Fotographie photographed our June 2022 wedding and they are the BEST wedding photographer in the San Francisco Bay Area. Liv and her team are an absolute pleasure to work with and they shot AMAZING photos of our wedding day, which included our getting ready, first look, couple, family and bridal party photos, ceremony and reception. First - the business side: Liv was very responsive and informative in all of our communications throughout the planning stages, and getting a contract set up with Apollo Fotographie was seamless. We also decided we wanted a Photo Booth (which was super fun and I highly recommend) at the very last minute and she set that up right away. Second - the photographers & the photos: we worked with Eliza and Brittani, who are two incredibly skilled photographers and also wonderful people. We could totally be ourselves around them - they were full of warmth, their focus was on us, and when we saw our album, we realized there were many times we did not know they were there snapping photos! As a result, we have some really heart tugging candid photos - like ones of us smiling at each other while bouncing down our ceremony stairs right after saying ‘I do’ and walking into our reception, and others twirling during our first dance - we had absolutely no idea that they were anywhere near us! Eliza and Brittani had fun being creative with our couples portraits and we got some incredible unique shots as well. Everyone was at ease (bridal party, families and guests) with Eliza and Brittani - no small feat as a lot of people do not like their picture being taken. The quality of the photos is incredible. Eliza and Brittani captured our love for each other and our joy as well as the joy of our family and friends truly resonates through each and every photograph. Third - timing: our full album was delivered less than a month after our wedding!! Truly exceptional. The only problem you will face is that you will get HUNDREDS of amazing photos and it will be almost impossible to decide which ones are your favorite to print!

We had the best experience working with Apollo for our recent wedding. Liv was extremely helpful in helping us stay on track with timeline. Very communicative and quick to respond on all questions. As for day-of, Carrie and Mickie were excellent! They made myself, husband, and entire wedding party feel at ease when taking pictures the entire day. We hired Apollo Fotographie for our January wedding for both photography and videography and were very pleased with the results. Pre-wedding day, Liv from the Apollo team was very communicative and helpful with deadlines they needed from us and she was always quick with responses to questions. The day-of team was prompt to our get ready location and the head photographer had some great ideas for a dress reveal with my bridal party that I had not thought to do before. The videographers were also amazing, and the video they did for us was absolutely incredible and fully captured all the aspects we remember of loving our day so much. We almost didn’t get videography and boy that would have been a huge mistake! Our only complaint would be our head photographer seemed not super prepared. We sent over our list of photo groupings within their timeframe but it seemed as though the formatting was off on our photographers copy. Prior to the ceremony when we were taking photos, she had to ask me what the photo groupings were because it wasn’t clear with the off format. It was something that could have been communicated prior to the wedding day and we could have worked to clarify everything, but instead we definitely wasted time retaking photos with the same groupings after the ceremony because no one could remember what we had already done before. The photos got more organized after our wedding planner stepped in and was being more assertive and providing the direction that the head photographer was not. This is very individualized to our experience and overall the photos were still great and captured the day!

We hired Apollo for video only at our wedding and they were so good! They were our most organized and responsive vendor. They asked for so many details and instantly assured us all would be covered day of wedding. We had some more unique requests (interview guests) and they did not hesitate to accommodate. We loved our videographer Ross and would definitely work with them again.

Thank the f*ckin photography gods I hired Apollo. 1) They provided photography, photo booth, and videography – all in one sweep 2) they are SUPER organized and make sure to check in / keep you on track for picture planning. They also offer recommendations when asked but aren’t pushy 3) obviously wedding photography costs some $$; however, this felt very very worth the money and they offer some payment plans which made it super easy 4) their photographers /videographers should be teaching graduate-level classes on reading the room and emotional intelligence. We had MANY formal group photos and I was really worried that it was gonna be like herding cats. It was still like herding cats; however, they kept us all moving, were extremely professional, and provided great direction. 5) according to my wedding guests, the photographers and videographers captured some prime moments and were moving no problem through the increasingly-inebriated crowd. Do yourself a favor, use Apollo for your wedding photography/videography needs.

I am so glad I selected this photographer. The process was a breeze. They had me prepared and organized. Every single person I came in contact with was amazing. My day of photographers were the best! My photos looked Better then I imagined. I loved them and would do it all over again just for them.

Jonathon is absolutely incredible! He's quick to reply back on all emails, shows up on-time, and has one of the best personalities of any photographer. He made us laugh by playing games in the middle of our shoot and we love this about him! It's so important to laugh and have fun in your photos and he makes sure that they feel and are REAL! We hired Apollo for our wedding and engagement shoot and we will update this review after our actual wedding date, but the engagement shoot was a huge success. Jonathon captured over 800 shots of us within 2 hours and every single one of them was absolutely stunning! We can't wait to see the final product! COVID has made things more challenging and despite Jonathon's personal plans, he took the time to fly in for our shoot at no cost to us and he did it with a smile. When the world shut down due to COVID-19, we were initially terrified we'd lose every cent we paid toward our many wedding vendors. With our original wedding postponed a year, Apollo Fotografie stepped up to the challenge of managing the date change. They not only transferred our original package without penalty, but also provided us the chance to hire them for our intimate elopement on the original date with just parents and witnesses present. Our photographer Abbie, was a dream! She knew exactly how to capture key moments while not being distracting during the ceremony... I forgot she was there! Then when it came to our couple's portraits, she provided the direction my husband and I needed to feel natural in front of the camera. Her energy was contagious and she was able to take beautiful shots, mask and all! We are so grateful to the Apollo Team, but especially for Jonathon and Abbie, but also Eliza, and Ross who we are excited to meet next year at the postponed wedding celebration. This company values its clients and is very ethical with its business practices. I can't recommend them more! They are worth the investment as photo/video will be the most tangible memory from that special day.

When we started planning our wedding, we knew that one of the most important aspects of the day would be a photographer who would not only be able to take amazing photos, but one who would also be easy going and fun to have around. We were so lucky to find that in Apollo Fotographie! The whole team was such a dream to work with, from Jonathon during our first call, to Michael & Jeremi who were our day off photographers. Everyone was attentive, responsive, and needless to say, extremely talented! The photos that Michael & Jeremi took of the day came out so much better than we could have imagined, and the editing was SO. ON. POINT. They took our vision of the day and produced such stunning masterpieces that look even better than what I remember in person! They were also efficient and effective, stuck 100% to my crazy timeline, worked amazingly with our other vendors, and honestly, you couldn't even tell they were there (mark of a GREAT wedding photographer)! Choosing a photographer is always scary because you never know what the photos will look like until the day they are delivered. Another thing we considered was whether the individual photographers would be able to capture the same essence of the sample photos you see on the website, which may have been taken by a different individual. All we can say is that the proof is in the pictures, and consistency is key at Apollo Fotographie! In summary, Jonathon, Michael, and Jeremi were by far one of our favorite vendors of the day and most definitely the best wedding photographer in the Bay Area. Would 1000% recommend!

They have a wonderfully organized system for capturing the details, what we wanted and what was important to us. Terilyn was the incredible photographer for both our engagement shoot and our day of.  When we met her at our engagement shoot, she brimmed with an energy and sense of humor that propelled us through, thoroughly loving taking pictures that my husband initially dreaded (he hates "posed" photos!).  She was always creative in getting us to truly smile and laugh, and this really shone through in the gorgeous photos- we displayed one as a large canvas at our wedding reception.  Same thing the day of- she and Sean were with me and my bridal party all morning prior to the wedding, and we had such a lovely time with them in such an intimate setting.  She did an exceptional job for it all, and we are lucky to have had her, Sean, Angela, and Stephanie as part of our day.  They were all so sweet and talented, and I must mention, braved the freezing winds of Treasure Island during our family and bridal party photos with nothing but smiles and cheer.  Our bridal party and our families loved working with them too- they felt like an extended part of our family for the day. Right from the start, we knew we wanted our photos to be one of the most important things for our wedding. After researching for a couple of days, I stumbled across Apollo Fotografie from The Knot. They were one of the top vendors labeled as “the best wedding photographer in San Francisco.” Their pictures were elegant, classic, natural and candid. After contacting them, we were happy and relieved to know that they were available and can travel to San Jose on one of the most popular wedding date of 2018. The owner, Jonathon, reached out to us and made sure we were able to express what we looked/expected for our wedding photos. We chose a package which included an engagement session. Booking and working with them was simple and easy. Our lead photographer was Alex. We were nervous during our engagement photo session, but we opened up because Alex was funky, energetic, and lively. He even went an extra mile on our wedding day. He told our limo driver where our hotel room was and told him to pull up in front of it, rather than having the whole bridal party walk out and meet him parked out on the streets. Our second photographer was Asia. The groomsmen loved her as well! She was down to earth and patient with the groomsmen as a couple of them may have a little something to drink. Overall, Jonathon and the Apollo Fotografie team are easy to work with, patient, organized, and they made sure your day was all about you. I found Apollo Fotografie by searching "best wedding photographer in San Francisco" on The Knot. I was amazed by all of their positive reviews, and beautiful wedding photos. Surely enough, they did not disappoint! We hired Apollo Fotagrafie to help us with our engagement photos, and wedding photos. Through the process, we were also provided with the opportunity to select a lead photographer, and the second shooter would be appointed based on best availability. I truly appreciated this ability to select a lead photographer, we were given the opportunity to review their portfolios, and interview the photographer based on their experience and style. Thru that selection process, we selected Abbie as our lead photographer, and Wayne was our second shooter. They did a fantastic job in our photos! What I truly enjoyed about the experience was: 1. Organization They were very organized, and punctual. They (Jonathon) provided clear timelines on when things needed to be submitted (such as engagement questionnaire, wedding family shot list, wedding timeline, etc). These necessary items, also better helped me with planning my wedding as well, so I truly appreciated their asking of these required items. 2. Professionalism Jonathon, the creative director, was also friendly and very timely to respond to inquiries and follow up requests. Abbie and Wayne were also fantastic on the day of the wedding coordinating and gathering all the folks together for photos, and adhering to the jam packed wedding schedule 3. This review is a few months overdue - but I wanted to really sit down so I could do the team at Apollo Fotografie justice. We used Apollo for our May wedding reception in the Presidio of San Francisco (and ceremony at San Francisco City Hall). They were, in a word, superb. FROM THE BEGINNING From the very beginning, Jonathon was incredibly organized. From punctual, professional meetings discussing my overall vision and plan for the day, as well as asking all the right questions (including some I hadn’t even thought of), Jonathon had this whole process down to a science. As time went on, he checked in on us to make sure that if we had any questions, he was answering them; and he also provided more information which helped us stay calm about all of the logistics and details of photography and videography for our wedding. DAY OF THE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY Flash-forward to the day-of: We met with Abbie and Terilyn first at City Hall, and they were so incredibly supportive and psyched for us (having never met prior to that day, it was fantastic having that energy!). They struck a perfect balance of professionalism and being the best pals you never knew you had (and not in a presumptuous way). I can’t speak highly enough of their demeanor at City Hall and at the Golden Gate Club. My husband’s family members were incredibly difficult to wrangle into photographs (some migrating into them even though they weren’t supposed to be in the shot), and Abbie was honestly a bona fide saint trying to herd them. I would have probably lost my mind, but the composure she kept was beyond the call of duty! Beyond their personalities, Abbie and Terilyn are exceptionally talented photographers. The skill-set alone that they bring to the table is worth every. Single. Penny. Combine their flair for visual artistry with being the hype squad you never knew you needed, A & T were seriously a gift to us on our wedding day. Not to mention, Terilyn knew all the quips to get us into the most natural laughter in our sunset poses - if I could be friends with her (along with Abbie and Sean) in real life, you bet your sweet booty I would. VIDEOGRAPHY Sean, who performed the videography at our wedding, was so lovely and un-intrusive. He made sure to introduce himself, took some great shots, and for most of the rest of the day, I honestly forgot all about him (in a wonderful way, because a great videographer doesn’t have to be all up in your business). As a result, he got some incomparable footage of our wedding, and our wedding video was honestly so moving and beautiful, that my husband and I cried (happy tears!) re-watching it - it instantly brought us back to the best day of our lives. His work is not stiff at all - it is high-quality but captures the day how it really was, in all its intricacies and little moments. I am still in awe of him, his humility and his absolutely understated ability. IN SUMMARY From beginning to end, Jonathan and his team at Apollo Fotografie have been such genuinely talented professionals, and personable individuals to work with. I can honestly say that half of the reason that our wedding went so smoothly was due to their involvement with it. If you’re on the fence between Apollo and another photography/videography company - go with Apollo. You won’t regret it.

I can only add more great comments to the already amazing reviews that Adam has received! Adam was undoubtedly fantastic and 100% reliable as both our engagement and wedding photographer. He was great at communicating throughout the year (leading up to our big day), he was open to suggestions and he heard our every request, even if/when last minute. Most importantly he takes absolutely stunning pictures and has them ready literally two days later!! My husband and I attended a wedding in September 2017, and that couple's wedding photos weren't ready until two days after our photos, which was also two days after our wedding (February 2018). What that tells us is that Adam is not only an expert in taking amazing pictures, but he also prides himself on having his work done and turned in almost immediately. He truly respected our time and he made sure to have our photo memories delivered to us as soon as possible. It was impressive!! Further, Adam was mindful of so many other factors and details, including his own outfit during the wedding (pink bowtie had everyone talking!!), and he also made sure to stick to our timelines to the T which at times can be challenging. Anyway, thank you Adam for being great at what you do, and for providing us with some fantastic photos that we will forever cherish.
