We had a wonderful experience learning our first dance with Kate! She was patient and encouraging as new dancers learning choreography. She even went above and beyond and cut our song as well as the mother/son song. We had so much fun and my husband said he would do it again!
We loved working with Applause Dance Academy (Miss.Kate!) for our first dance. As a dancer myself, had a big vision for our first dance. I wanted our dance to feel polished while also gentle and intimate, and Miss. Kate helped us do just that! She has such a wealth of knowledge and truly made us feel so comfortable on the big day. She is there to help your vision come alive. My husband is not a dancer, and Miss. Kate was able to give him tips and tricks to practice to help him loosen up and feel confident. I’d highly recommend Applause Dance Academy! If you’re looking for someone to give you choreography that matches your style, someone to truly care about how you feel during your first dance, and who takes the time to know you as a couple- Miss. Miss Kate
Studio Owner and Choreographer
Kate started dancing at the age of 9 in Brown Deer, Wisconsin. She studied Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop, and Modern in the Milwaukee area. Miss Kate is a member of Chicago National Association of Dance Masters. She is a Certified Master Dance Educator (MDE) through Chicago National Association of Dance Masters where she is on the Board of Directors. Miss Kate is also certified and licensed in Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT), the beginning and basic levels of Giordano Jazz Technique, Acrobatic Arts Modules 1 and 2, Alixa Flexibility Modules 1-5 and Contortion Training, and Sugarfoot Therapy. Miss Kate is also a Level 3 Certified Barre Instructor through the International Ballet Barre Fitness Association. She enjoys attending dance conventions and dance training schools throughout the year. Kate has been teaching dance throughout the Coulee Region since 2010. She has experience teaching all ages and abilities and hopes to inspire her students to love dance as much as she does.
