We came to Apple Acres with no expectations after a lot of disappointment in visiting other potential venues (too expensive, no personalization allowed, strict rules with no exceptions, wedding factories where they don’t care about us), but aft...er taking a walk around and chatting with Molly, we knew it was the place for us.
Throughout the entire process, Molly was our rock! Having patience with us when we were not the most proactive planners, she made it all work. With Apple Acres, we had our wedding exactly as we wanted, down to the last detail. The farm has a good vendor list, and we used their suggestion for florals, which were probably my favorite part of the wedding. Molly created beautiful lighting options for us with cafe lights and a luminary-lit path, as well as arranged the items we needed to rent. All of the other vendors that we brought in mentioned to us how much they loved working with Molly and at the farm. The tables we borrowed from the farm were handmade and gorgeous; they needed very minimal decoration and we used garlands of greenery to highlight their natural beauty.
On the music front, we really wanted live music and Molly and Bill helped in finding a band that was available on our date. This was not an easy task. When the band’s guitarist couldn’t play our ceremony music, Molly played cello for us (and it was amazing)! Everybody says that your wedding day will go by in a blur, and that’s true – but one very vivid memory I have is waiting with my father to walk down the aisle, watching dragonflies flit around, and taking a deep breath and focusing on the cello music before the big moment.
The setting is spectacular and at sunset the sky melts into oranges and reds, gradually fading out to a blueish purple that deepens as all of the stars emerge. A lot of our guests commented on the night sky and the mountains surrounding us; it was beautiful.
We are grateful for the help and care we had in putting together our wedding, and also believe in the ethos of the farm, which is earning its organic certification and has sustainable practices. Apple Acres is a very special place for those couples looking for a farm wedding high in romance and charm.
