Applehead Photography & Design

e in as friends and not vendors. They were friendly, courteous, and professional going above and beyond to help outside of taking photos during our wedding day. They are easy to get along with and if you’re not good at posing they help you as well as take suggestions on what you’re looking for. They make it fun and creative and they produce gold from any picture they take. They make every picture look like a portrait. They made us feel like superstars for our engagement photos and on our wedding day. I thank them for their hard work and support on our special day. And going above and beyond to get our photos back very quickly. I remember at the beginning of our search googling best photographers in Georgia and they were one of the names that came up. Once I click on their website I was in heaven. When we saw their work we knew right away they were the ones. I told my fiancée “I want to be featured on their website too !!!” But I will always shout from the rooftops in support of APPLEHEAD photography and design !!! They have friends for life in The Bryants. And I will tell everyone about them and show my beautiful pictures anytime I can.

now. 1. They are perfect for both, photogenic and non-photogenic — I am 100% non-photogenic and they made me look ahmazing!!!! They will direct you photo by photo, help you find your “model” pose and face and they do an excellent job taking candies and posed photos. Listen — I have one smile, one — where I show all of my teeth and gums — and they coached me on how to ensure I ended up with the look that WE wanted. 2. You will absolutely feel like the most important person, as if you are their only customer. 3. They are exceptional human beings. I can’t stress this part enough. Heather literally carried my wedding veil, made sure I had plenty of water, bustled my wedding dress (like, are you even seriousss), and the list goes on and on!! They are just phenomenal people. 4. They’re worth every penny. The people in the reviews are not exaggerating when they stress how good their work is — they edit every single photo - adjust the lighting, brighten what’s needed, sculpt your double chin… yep, all of it and there’s no additional cost of it — all included in the cost! We didn’t initially realize the value here until we spoke with more than a dozen other photographers and found, not only was this not included, but many photographers had a very hard (and small quantity) limit on the number of photos they would edit, retouch, and correct. And — if they did it, there was a whomping cost added. 5. Your photos will come back FAST! And there’s lots of them! The only problem you’ll have is selecting your favorites — they are all so so so good!! 6. Yes, they can shoot people of varying skin tones. My husband and I are black and we were intentional in searching for someone that would be skilled in shooting varying dark skin tones and they absolutely nailed it! 7. They communicate well and will ask all the right questions beforehand and as you move closer to your big day. They are absolute professionals! Clearly, this photography team made a great impression with us. We’re not “review” people, but as we were planning our big day, we leaned heavily on reviews. For that reason, we wanted to share our experience and hope you find this helpful in deciding on the best option for you.

ests LOVED them. This helped get a lot of fun shots of our friends at the wedding too. The turn around time after the wedding to getting the pictures is unreal and amazing. We love our photos so much we are having trouble deciding on our favorite shots. This is also because of the dynamic nature of the photographs is just breathtaking. An additional plus, Heather is very responsive to all messages no matter the platform. We want to throw another big event so we can have Philip and Heather do their magic again.

well! The photos themselves are obviously stunning, each one a work of art - they have such a clear vision and distinct style that was so in line with my Halloweekend wedding, nothing felt forced or awkward, and we have so many incredible photos of every moment. And they got them to us so fast we were still on our honeymoon! If I could rate higher, I would.

m photograph our wedding and it was the BEST decision. They were extremely organized and sent out a few questionnaires before our big day so that they knew exactly what family photos we wanted. This made the family picture taking so efficient and allowed for more time to get creative and gorgeous pictures of the two of us! We also got our pictures back SO quickly! It's amazing to have photographers that are just as excited to see the pictures after lighting and editing as much as you! In my opinion, their photography style and skills are absolutely unmatched. The uniqueness and moodiness that they achieve through their photography and editing is just stunning. We particularly wanted a very dark and moody feel for our wedding and they captured that beautifully in our photos as well. I have received countless compliments on my wedding photos and I truly owe it to Philip and Heather. They make the perfect team as well! I love the fact that Philip was able to capture my husband and his crew while they were getting ready and Heather was in the bridal suite capturing my girls and I! The creativity they have on the spot to make stunning pictures is just incredible! Did I mention they are SO FUN? We had THE BEST time while they were photographing us. It was nothing but laughs and smiles and we truly loved that. If you're looking for timeless, unique, photos that are far from the basic wedding style photos that you see everywhere, Applehead photography is where it's at. I will cherish my wedding photos forever and I could not be happier with how they turned out!!

heir skills and good vibes. Yes, they are great photographers and fun people! I highly recommend them to those who are craving something extraordinary. Pheather did our maternity and newborn photo shoot and we are so glad to have these memories!! Philip and Heather, you're amazing photographers and storytellers!!

ou’re able to form a friendship with not one, but two of the coolest yet super professional photographers in the game. You can trust that they’ll take the time the pose you and show off your best side while throwing in some edge. They’re fun so you know your smiles will be genuine and years ahead when you glance at your photos you’ll be so grateful those moments were captured by people who see the world through the dramatic, edgy lense that is Applehead Photography. Applehead Photography is my first choice to anyone in the southeast… or dare I say the world?

engagement photos, and this allowed two camera-shy people to open up and have engagement and wedding photos that they loved. Phillip and Heather provided a gorgeous product and an absolute ease of service. It was a pleasure to work with them and have them be a part of our big day. We are constantly receiving compliments on our photos. Phillip and Heather listened to our wants and we’re able to capture every moment we had envisioned. Their style allowed for unique and gorgeous photos that differ from the norm. I truly can’t recommend them enough for the love that they pour out into their work!

eir dogs! On our small wedding they still made me feel like a star! Their quality of work is incredible, and you still get a lot of photos from a day with them. I I have never been a fan of black and white photography until Philip gave us some for our wedding and they are my husbands favorite and I love them just as well! They have this gothic aesthetic but don’t be worried! If that is not your thing they will still shoot your photos with this lovely romantic style and you will be blown away! The turn around time was fast and they even mailed us a flash drive with all our photos! Me and my husband now live across the country and found ourself pregnant and we both said how said we were they couldn’t shoot our maternity shots. They will leave this long lasting effect on you, you will want them again and if you can you should!

in front of the camera, but they made it such a fun and enjoyable experience! Their content and photos are amazing and the editing is impeccable! Also, they are the coolest people you will ever meet. Book them asap!! 10/10

best photos ever. They were so fun and professional and it was a blast working with them. Not to mention their outfits were so cool. My husband and I could not stop talking about it ha! I had just learned that I would need a new photographer asap, and it was like the universe knew and sent Applehead Photography my way. Heather was so soooo kind, helpful, and patient with me throughout the whole process. They also asked questions about what moments I wanted to capture. They even found the most unusual spots to take the best photos (trust the process!). They have many packages that can work within your budget, and what is so great about it is that there were two of them to capture every moment and be able to get SO MANY pictures. We also go all our photos emailed to us so quickly AND they also mailed us the most adorable flash drive with all the photos on it. I want to have another wedding just so I can work with them again! Thank you so much again Pheather!!

They are so friendly, great at communicating, and take amazing photographs. My wedding guests also loved them. If I had a downside to tell I would share it - but I truly do not. I was hesitant because they were outside our budget - but so glad I did because they had a wedding package that ended up being perfect for us!

e did engagement photos about a year prior to the wedding day and I knew immediately that we had made the right choice. Every photo we have from them is a deeply cherished treasure and we are so glad to have gotten to know Phillip and Heather in the process. Not only did they match our desire to be out in the cold (January for engagement photos on a VERY windy mountain and January for the wedding in a historic downtown), they thrived in it! I swear you can see it in the photos. And they were always so sweet to our little pup who we just couldn’t be without! They fit in with our wedding crowd so well that they may as well have been a part of the family - we’ve gotten so many compliments on them as people before the photos were even back! And while the photos are the BIG thing here, I can’t believe how incredible they were to work with on the business side of things as well. They were helpful in picking a location for engagement photos and what to wear, they helped so much with working out a day of timeline and any other details for the day, and then after they were so patient and compassionate when our final check got stuck in the mail and worked with us every step of the way. Not only would I use Phillip and Heather again for my wedding day, I’m actively looking for reasons we may need photos taken again! I would recommend them a thousand times over.

er done. My husband is not comfortable in front of the camera, and they had him laughing, smiling, and relaxed during the photos of us together and the ones of him alone. I can honestly say the photos they produced are my favorite of any shoot I have ever been a part of (I model and have done a lot of wedding style shoots through the years). When we met Phillip and Heather through the styled shoot, we had already booked a photographer for our actual wedding in Sonoma in May 2021 (we were a covid wedding and original date was supposed to be April 2020). Our wedding finally happened, we got our photos back from the photographer we booked out there and while they’re beautiful, they don’t compare to what Phillip and Heather created during our styled shoot together. The creative eye and direction they give is what gets the incredible shots that make your jaw drop, and that is something that sets them apart tremendously. I was wishing SO bad that we had them as our photographers for our big day. So much so, that I’ve asked them to do a redo shoot for us in my gown and his tux so we can recreate the big day as much as possible and have the beautiful pictures they create to keep forever!! I just love them so much and cannot recommend them enough. We laughed until we cried a few times while we were together and created magic in between. They’re great people and the perfect duo. Anyone would be lucky to work with them. Pheather, y’all are the best <3

sides them being such great people, they are an amazing team! They are creative, artistic and just damn good at what they do. They craft the most unique pictures. They are everything you would want your wedding photographers to be. They are reliable, attentive, prompt, detailed, thorough, fun, exact, responsive...I could go on and on. Not to mention that they had our wedding photos back to us within a WEEK of getting married. I mean seriously, that's not going to happen with anyone else. The pictures were beautiful! So much more than we ever hoped for. They "moved around" without us ever knowing they were there. And that's exactly how you want your photographer to be. You want them there getting all the shots without knowing they're there. To say that we were blown away by them is an understatement!

eamless team and it is an honor to have them capture your life's most precious moments. When you work with Heather and Phillip, you gain not only stunning photos, but new friends. They will share stories with you and laugh with you all while making you feel comfortable in front of a camera. You will never forget the experience you'll have from getting to know them and receiving the most elegant photographs for your engagement or wedding. From their romantic, gothic photography style to their endless creative talent, Pheather is the best photography duo you'll meet.

e. As soon as I saw Applehead's work, I knew they were they ones I wanted capturing my wedding day and that was the best decision I made! They're work is edgy, creative, and unique to each wedding. From beginning to end both Heather and Philip were so helpful with everything; making the whole process fun and easy. From trekking through the woods with us, to helping reschedule events to fit everything in! Not only did they perfectly capture the feeling of our wedding but also got so many amazing, fun photos of everyone dancing and having a great time! I also cannot express enough how much of a benefit it is to have two photographers. You get so many more photos in a shorter amount of time, along with getting two different angles of everything! Not to mention that they get the photos back to you extremely fast; they had them done before we even got back from our honeymoon! I cannot imagine the day without them both, my only regret is that we didn’t have them there longer!

capture our essence as a couple, but they managed to make us look like we knew what we were doing. They made us feel so comfortable, and they captured every detail perfectly. I am in awe of how amazing our engagement photos and our wedding photos turned out, I was truly blown away by the end result! The thing I love the most is that my photos look like no one else's... what I mean by that is they captured everything with an artistic point of view. I recommend you book this amazing duo as soon as possible, you will not be disappointed!!

y better than these two! Their passion for photography AND PEOPLE shines through their photos. They truly want your day to be as magical as you plan for it to be and make that goal so easy! We had such a fun time with them & wish we lived closer so we could hangout with them more than just the one day we got HA! Their fluidity with each other while behind camera is most definitely telepathic! IT WAS INCREDIBLE! Every single moment was captured with so much emotion and so many angles, you will find yourself going through them for hours and hours like I did in continuous amazement. The turn around time of our photos was mind blowing considering the creativity and love so perfectly executed! & SOOO many of them at that! They’re a truly talented husband wife duo and I can’t wait to work with them again! You’re really missing out if you turn your head from these guys!

ra they were able to make me and my fiance feel comfortable while getting our pictures taken. On our wedding day it truly felt like we had 2 good friends taking photos of us and they really understood the overall vision I wanted for my wedding photos. We also received many compliments from our weddings guests about how nice, friendly, organized and professional Heather and Philip were on our wedding day. Heather and Philip are the most genuine, kind and caring photographers a bride could ever ask for. They truly go above and beyond to capture your most special moments on your big day and have a special gift of making you feel like a friend of theirs from the moment you meet them. Also not to mention they got all of our wedding photos back to us within a week of our wedding! I cant recommend them enough!

ind, and it was like having two old friends there with us, which made for such a wonderful experience on our big day. Their photos are absolutely stunning and every time I look at them I see an added layer of detail or emotion that perfectly captures how much joy and fun we had at our wedding. I had done a TON of research before choosing them for our wedding, and I absolutely *cannot* recommend them enough.

ith. They did my wedding and I can’t thank enough for my beautiful pictures. They did an amazing job, I was beyond happy and in awe of so many beautiful pictures to choose from. They are the most unique and best photographers I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting and working with.

g made every dream come true. From the first time we met with Heather and Philip we connected--it felt like meeting new friends. If you are getting ready for your wedding, you WANT people like Heather and Philip around you on your wedding day. They are kind, creative, organized, and so enjoyable to be around. As our photographers, they were with us all day, and they brought a joyful steadiness to the day that we needed, as well as making sure we savored each precious moment while they captured it on camera. My now husband and I aren't super comfortable in front of a camera, but Heather and Phillip gave great posing directions, and during our shoots we were laughing together and just having so much fun. They also helped plan the schedule for the wedding day, at no extra charge, and kept us on that schedule the day of the wedding. Every photo they capture and edit is stunning, and I cannot recommend Applehead Photography enough!

and I will enjoy for years to come. They picked some super cool locations for us to shoot in, and really just caught the whole vibe of the day. If you're looking for the most unique photos you've ever seen, don't think- book. I hope Eric and I get to work with them both again soon. PRE-WEDDING REVIEW: Let me just tell you- if you’re thinking about booking with Pheather, stop thinking and just do it. We had the absolute pleasure of hanging with them for our engagement photos and the entire experience was a dream. Both my fiancé and I have never really taken formal pictures and were pretty nervous, but Phillip and Heather made us laugh, directed us, and overall made us feel totally natural/comfortable. We shot photos in the Oakland Cemetary, and they fully brought my “spooky romantic” vision to life. I’m so obsessed with how our photos turned out, they caught our whole vibe, and every time I get to show them to people- it’s like seeing them again for the first time. I wish my wedding wasn’t so far away, because I’m so excited to spend time with them again!

ir quality is unmatched! We’re so excited to have them booked for the wedding next year! Seriously, book them. I cannot express enough how blown away I am with the quality. Update 09/17/22: We just finished our wedding with Heather and Philip. They are incredible! They captured our day so perfectly and the quality of their work is unmatched. They’re wonderful people, their style is beautiful, and they are a lot of fun to work with. They’re organized, great with communication, and dependable. If you’re looking for photos that will blow you away you’ve found the right photographers here. Seriously, thank you Pheather. You’ve captured our day even better then I could have imagined and created photos we will cherish for the rest of our lives.

sweetest humans! Our photos turned out amazing and I spent the whole day laughing during our wedding and our bridal photos afterwards! They are the BEST at dark + moody photos and we couldn’t have been happier! We have recommended them to all of our friends also planning weddings!

. We had to postpone our wedding and then we reduced it to less than 20 people and moved it to Gatlinburg and I told my husband I absolute refused to give up Pheather as our photographers. Thankfully they were able to travel to Gatlinburg and the pictures were a dream come true. Our pictures look similar to a stylized shoot which is what I was hoping for since my husband and I wanted ones that looked more like artwork than traditional wedding photos and Pheather absolutely delivered. They made us laugh the whole time and seemed to have the perfect thing to say when I got stressed and started to get overwhelmed during group photos. Their turn around time for photos is insanely fast and I was so thankful to not have to wait multiple months to get my photos like so many of my friends have had to do. I cannot recommend them enough and they deserve more than 5 stars!

you have to pick between quantity and quality. One look at their photos and you know they exemplify quality. Because of this, I honestly was not expecting to have as many unique, posed shots as we ended up with, in addition to candid reception shots, group shots, details, and everything else. I seriously don’t know how they did it. Every single photo is absolutely incredible. Not only can they pose, compose, and edit in a beautifully artistic way, they also are insanely talented candid photographers and know how to capture moments and expressions, which as a photographer, can be REALLY hard to do. They got it all. I can’t believe the number of photos they turned over to us, in LESS than two weeks (ten days, to be exact), and not just that, but the quality of everything and the variety, it’s just amazing. We got so many unique posed shots, each one is absolutely stunning and something we would hang on our wall. They got details of EVERYTHING, so even though we were too busy to remember what our cake even looked like, they got several shots of it and every other detail of the day. They asked us what group photos we wanted and got those for us, they work SUPER fast and the results are perfect. Philip worked with me and my groomsmen to make some really special group shots that are the absolute coolest photos I’ve ever been a part of. They did our first look, but kept it really low key, which is how we wanted it. They just totally got us and our style. On our day-after photo shoot, they brought the drone along and made some really cool aerial shots and over the water shots. I just can’t say enough about how much effort they put in and how far they went to make our photos truly special. It is obvious that they care so much about their clients and their craft. They are simply the best at what they do, and you can tell they really love doing it. As if all this wasn’t enough, they are genuinely kind, funny, and fun people to have around on your special day. We honestly had so much fun just hanging out with them, we were instant friends. They work in such a relaxed, but efficient way. They aren’t the kind of photographers that are going to add to your stress, In fact, they do very much the opposite and help you enjoy your day. If you’re looking for an amazingly talented, artistic team of photographers to capture your wedding day, with impeccable quality and style, you won’t find any better than Philip and Heather. They were truly a pleasure to work with, and the photos exceeded our wildest expectations. Thank you guys!!!

Even more importantly, they made my husband & I and all of our family members completey comfortable and at ease. I had multiple compliments afterwards from our family with how great they were. I can't wait to see the final product - but have complete confidence from all of their other work I have seen. I would HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend them!

ples who want to celebrate their love and have the real-life moments captured. They’re so encouraging and really support any unique vibes. Working with them was more like playing, which is exactly what my husband and I wanted. We also got incredible candid shots of us and our guests-which is great because we weren't able to spend extended periods of time with our guests and now we have evidence everyone had a great time!

amazing pictures. I would use them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for great wedding pitcures. They were willing to accommodate everything we wanted and had some cool ideas of their own too. They captured our wedding perfectly.

itely recommend them to future couples. Having two photographers really helped to make the pictures go by faster and smoother. They are a great team!

d and offering many creative suggestions that we had never considered. Having two photographers was an invaluable bonus, capturing some amazing candid moments in addition to the poses. They were professional, considerate, and FUN! They were quick to respond to any questions, and we had our final pictures within days. As artists, I feel they were as excited about the final product as we were. Philip and Heather truly captured each precious moment of that day… I can’t recommend them highly enough!

s quickly.

ographers allowed multiple angles on our special day! The communication was great and they made sure to incorporate everything we wanted! We just finished our 3rd shoot with them. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone

They will go above and beyond to make sure the bride and groom get their wedding captured exactly like they desire. I would wholeheartedly recommend Applehead Photography & Design for you to use for your wedding.

at they do. It truly shows through there pictures. They also took our daughters newborn pictures. The Collier’s did a wonderful job and were so patient with us. I would highly recommended them.

ional opinions that helped the pictures turn out perfect. Would recommend them to all my friends and family.

er and Philip captured every moment of that day perfectly, all of the emotions, the fun, etc. They were also very personable throughout the whole day (they spent the entire day with the wedding party from the bride and groom getting ready to the ceremony and on to the reception) getting to know all of us. We truly enjoyed them as our wedding photographers and the pictures as a wonderful, lasting memento of that day. They also did a wonderful job with the engagement photos as well capturing the feelings between my son and his then fiancee. I would definitely recommend them to photograph your wedding.

r friends!! So thankful for Phillip and Heather and the memories they were able to capture for our family!! Love you guys !! ❤️ -Jim and Dianne Anderson

ey arrived hours before the wedding, preparing and getting things in place. They were extremely talented and down to earth people, who helped the whole day run smoothly. They were really able to capture all the big and small details that made it such a beautiful wedding. I know the bride and groom are so grateful to have such amazing photos that they can look at to remember their big day. 100% would recommend!

ment photos as well as the wedding and the kids had lots of options to choose from. It was nice to have two photographers (at times nice to have a male point of view for the son in law & a female for the bride) on site at a very reasonable price compared to everyone else & I don’t think any event was missed, plus I didn’t have to worry about a thing. I just enjoyed the wedding/party. I don’t regret a thing. We will definitely use them again.

te works of art and from someone who isnt a fan of myself in pictures I have them hung all over my house! They will make you feel comfortable and work with you from start to finish of booking to make sure your day of pictures run smoothly. They were in the process of moving and I still got my pictures fully edited back fast. Added bonus they are both hilarious and as a mrried couple they know what works and looks beautiful!

LOVED my wedding pics when they finished editing them, which happened to be super quick, and I can personally say every photo is my favorite! If you're looking for beautiful wedding pictures to cherish forever, look no further because I HIGHLY recommend these two!!
