Aprea Media is a Boston-based husband-and-wife wedding photography team specializing in documentary-style storytelling with an editorial touch. Based in Norwood, Massachusetts, we photograph weddings throughout Boston, Providence, Rhode Island, Cape Cod, and across New England. Our style blends candid, documentary coverage with gentle guidance when needed, allowing couples to feel comfortable, confident, and fully present on their wedding day. Whether you’re planning an intimate elopement, a coastal New England wedding, or a lively city celebration in Boston or Providence, we create timeless images that reflect not just how your day looked, but how it truly felt.

Aprea Media offers customizable wedding photography collections designed to fit each couple’s unique needs. We photograph one wedding per weekend to ensure every couple receives our full attention and care. Additional coverage hours are available, and all collections include high-resolution edited images delivered through a private online gallery with print rights.
Engagement sessions are included in all full wedding collections with eight or more hours of coverage. For smaller packages, engagement sessions may be added for $475. Engagement sessions are a great way for couples to feel comfortable in front of the camera before the wedding day, resulting in more natural, relaxed images.

asiest decision. They were already familiar with the venue (The Lexington in Boston Harbor) and were able to capture the best shots even when the scenery was constantly changing. Sarah knew all the shots we needed to get and more.

e sure we had a good variety of poses, backdrops, and lighting and then she put everything in a shutterfly to let us choose what we wanted.
When it came to the wedding she and John did a great job of communicating what they needed us to prepare, and also asking us what we wanted things to look like and what our must-haves were. On the day of the wedding they did a great job of wrangling us and our guests to make sure that the must-have shots were right and that there would be multiple ones to choose from to ensure a perfect picture. We also appreciated that after we gave them some general direction they were able to use their experience to direct us to get the best shots and allow us to not have more decisions to make.
Sarah and John did a great job for us and having two photographers working together to capture photos, stage photos, and help get people where we wanted them was one of the best choices we made.

ing them. The engagement session was so much fun! We went to the place we had our first date, LA Burdick, and Sarah captured so many cute photos of us drinking hot chocolate together. We then walked around Cambridge and had some really fun impromptu photos at a flower shop. We loved the engagement photos so much we used them on our save-the-dates and incorporated them into the wedding decor!
It was so awesome having Sarah and John both capture all of our special moments on the day of the wedding, from getting ready (BOTH me and my husband have a bunch of awesome getting ready photos!), our first look and portraits before the ceremony, the ceremony itself, cocktail hour, reception festivities, and incredibly artistic details shots. They are both so much fun and offer cute suggestions for poses, but they also go with the flow if you have fun ideas you want to try! We got a lot of really sweet unplanned photos throughout the night. I didn't know anything about different photography styles before we hired them (we just liked their work and they were super friendly), but they really are so experienced with candid/documentary style photography. We love having photos where we can see all the sincere emotions on our faces from laughing, crying with joy, and pure bliss, in addition to our more posed portrait-style photos. Sarah's editing is so dreamy across all our engagement and wedding photos. We now have our walls at home covered in their photography - they did such an amazing job capturing all the fun parts of our day! As a really sweet bonus, they recorded video of our first dance and ceremony upon our request, along with a lot of fun highlights that we get to watch to relive the memories now. We truly can't recommend them enough!!!

rapher so we agreed to take a majority of the couple and group portraits prior to the ceremony/reception. Every combination that we requested was captured. Sarah and John adjusted on the fly when we realized the hotel was too dimly lit for the type of photos we wanted and found an alternate outside location with partial cover to keep us dry from the morning rain.
We were blown away by the quality and detail they captured during the wedding ceremony to all of the candid's of our family and friends dance at the reception. And now, my husband has stated multiple times after viewing the photos that he was glad we got a photographer and could not believe the quality.
