I’ve been a professional photographer for over 15 years. My journey started at Mississippi School of the Arts where I first saw the magic of a photo develop in a darkroom! I have a bachelors degree in Photojournalism from Southern Miss and worked as a professional marketing photographer for 6 years before moving on full-time to wedding photography.
That important step has proven fruitful as my passion for capturing real moments has been fulfilled by capturing the magic of loving couples. Now after 2 years of booking my calendar up and meeting with beautiful people from all over the southeast, I can reliably say my expertise is serving a higher purpose.
My photography style is all about providing opportunities for authentic, joyful and intimate moments between you and your partner, both during the engagement session and your wedding day. This experience culminates in owning heirloom photographs you will treasure forever. And guess what? You both deserve it!

April Garon Photography covers weddings throughout Mississippi and beyond and can provide her services for destination weddings. April is determined to bring every vision to life, whatever the stylistic preference. Couples can also choose from an assortment of add-ons, including a second photographer, additional hours, bridal portraits, or bridal boudoir. Final images are made available in the form of curated albums, canvases, digital files, proofs, and more.

I meet April and her team at a Wedding Expo and was so impressed with their professionalism and eye for all the little details with their photography. I set up a meeting with April and we meet at a local coffee shop and talked like we had know each other for years. She definitely made me feel comfortable and made the decision for us choosing her to capture our wedding day very easy! She got every little detail of our wedding day and was so patient when taking family and group photos.. My husband and I both have very large family’s so I was concerned about wedding day timeline and getting people to cooperate ect but she did a wonderful job! I recommend April Garon Photography 100% and plan to use her services in the future!

April was absolutely incredible to work with from start to finish! We struggled at first to find a photographer who was cost-effective, willing to travel to our venue, and had the right style—but April was the answer to all our needs! From our engagement shoot to the wedding day, she was always accommodating, patient, and quick to answer all our questions. I’m so thankful I found her! She went above and beyond by collaborating seamlessly with our other vendors and coordinators to ensure everything ran smoothly. She helped us put together a great shot list and took the time to talk through the schedule with us beforehand, which made a huge difference. She and her second shooter made our wedding day photos and family photos stress-free and enjoyable. We’re not professional models and don’t always feel comfortable in front of the camera, but April had a way of making us feel completely relaxed and ready. The entire experience was amazing, and I can’t recommend her enough!

April went above and beyond for our wedding. We had a very small ceremony, and she helped us create the perfect timeline to get in everything we really wanted. She heard all out concerns, lit us well, and has a great artistic eye. My husband and I can be quite hard to light together, but she made it all look effortless. We got a sneak peak just a couple days later, and we're thrilled with the results. We cannot recommend her highly enough!

April did an amazing job on our photos! We had a small ceremony 2 weeks prior to our wedding reception and she was able to work with us to photograph the reception as well as my bridals. She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and captured our day perfectly. She was always easy to communicate with and we loved the quick turnaround time for photos. 10/10 recommend!!

I cannot say enough about how much we just loved working with April! She is so sweet and easy to talk to and made us so at ease. I hate getting my picture taken and feel so uncomfortable and awkward, but April made all of that go away. She was open to all of our ideas and managed to capture our personalities in each picture. She got the classic pictures but also a ton of candid shots like we asked for. Her style is beautiful and I can't believe how quickly we got our pictures back! 1000000/10 I highly recommend her!

My fiance and I had never had our photos taken professionally so I was pretty nervous, but April made us feel so comfortable. The perfect mix of helping us pose and letting us just being ourselves. She was professional and straight to the point and I felt like we got every cent worth of our time. Also just the most kind human. Would highly reccomend!!

If you are looking for an amazing, easy to work with, photographer, April is your girl. The girl stood out in the rain for over two hours just so we could get engagement photos. AND THE NIGHT PHOTOS!!!! Several photographers told me they couldn't do it because it was going to be dark, but April not only could, she exceeded all expectations.
