April is the absolute best. She is the best at photography and also just has the best personality. The photos speak for themselves as far as how amazing they are. April captures all the beautiful moments and is great at both the classic posed photos and the photos that really tell the story of the day. One of my good friends couldn't make it to the wedding, but after looking through the photos she said "I really feel like I got to be there!" which is just the dream to have the day fully captured.  What really sets April apart though is her warm and joyful demeanor. I first met April when she shot for a wedding I was a bridesmaid in. After seeing her work that weekend, I knew one day I'd choose her for my wedding, and I hadn't even met my husband at that point! April kept our day calm, on schedule, and joyful. When a huge storm hit and nearly flooded the city right when we were scheduled to do our first look outside, April calmly directed us to a beautiful indoor location, and then gave us space to actually spend time together and be ourselves during the first look. As soon as the rain cleared, she got the wedding party into a beautiful outdoor but covered location to take family and wedding party photos so we still got our outdoor photos while keep everyone dry and mudfree! April is also great at keeping family focused and moving. Sometimes the giant family photos after the ceremony can feel like herding cats, and April got everyone in the right place with a smile on their face and then quickly to cocktail hour.  I can't rave about April enough. Everyone should hire her! She is truly the best addition to your wedding day. 

It is really hard to put into words how incredible April is, not only as a photographer but also as a person. She was hands down was one of the best vendors of our wedding. April has an immense about of experience and that shows in her work as well as in how she handles a wedding day. She served not only as our photographer but also helped in the day of operations of our wedding. She made sure every single aspect of our wedding day flowed smoothly. We had two sessions with April, our engagements and our wedding. During both of these sessions, April was able to capture moments that we will be able to cherish forever. She not only has an amazing eye, but she is extremely timely with the getting photos back to you. We had photos from both sessions back to us within days. It really is hard and limiting to write a "review" about someone who far exceeded our expectations. April was the first vendor we booked for our wedding nearly a year in advance because we wanted to make sure she would be available. She made us feel so comfortable all day and was so good with direction since we needed some extra guidance. The pictures turned out phenomenal and we got them back so quickly. The photos she captured are so amazing, it is hard to believe that it was our wedding. She made sure to get all the details as well as awesome candid shots of us and our guests. Wedding planning can be stressful but with April’s experience she knows how to guide the complicated and not complicated situations. Where do I start? From day one, April has always made sure that we were going to get the best pictures possible for our wedding day, whether that was with her or another photographer. But let me tell you, we are overjoyed with our decision to choose her. April is great at all aspects of her business but she really shines in getting candid and posed shots, making sure that everyone is comfortable around her and the camera, and communicating. Even during the day of the wedding, April allowed us to add a few poses with friends and family last minute, which is a huge deal because there isn’t a lot of time during weddings for unplanned activities. April was absolutely amazing. If she is available, book her immediately. We had our engagement shoot with her too and she knew we were new at picture taking and was so patient with us. She gave us sneak peaks within days and made any changes we asked. Day of the wedding she was so attentive and on track. I didn't have to worry about anything with her there. She captured all of the memories of our special day and truly made the experience a breeze. She showed us some pictures throughout the day and asked if we wanted any corrections. She gave us over 300 highlights within 2 days of the wedding and less then a month later had all of the photos! She's worth it. 10/10 recommend!

If you are looking for a wedding photographer stop looking and book with April now! From our first consult call April made us feel so excited and relaxed knowing we found the perfect person to capture our special day. Neither of us like being photographed and April made us look amazing! April won’t only be your photographer, she will also become your best friend on your wedding day! She helped with touch ups for my hair and makeup, made sure my veil looked perfect, organized the wedding party, and had our pictures done in record time so we could enjoy cocktail hour with our friends. She also taught everyone the line dance to Copperhead Road during the reception! I mean come on! We got sneak peaks within 2 days and got to enjoy them on our honeymoon and the full gallery was delivered within 3ish weeks after the wedding. All of the pictures are perfect. Hiring a photographer for our wedding was a daunting task for me because I absolutely hate having my photo taken and I get rather impatient when taking lots of photos, which was something I knew I wouldn't be able to avoid on my wedding day. After meeting April for the first time I felt such a sense of relief because I knew we chose the perfect photographer- she's patient, kind, and easy going. My fiance (now husband) and I don't take many photos, so we're extremely awkward and have no idea how to pose, what to do with our hands, where to look, etc., but April was up for this challange and was amazing at guiding/directing us. Along with being painfully awkward, it was also difficult for me to articulate what I was wanting photo-wise. April worked with me to hone in on the style of photos I was wanting, what locations we wanted, what poses to do, and the perfect balance of posed versus candid shots. On our wedding day she was incredible- she kept us (mainly me) on time, was extremely communicative, was patient with our families and wedding party, and made it all fun! Something I was dreading turned into a fun, quick, and memorable part of our wedding day! And when I say she was quick, she was QUICK. We were able to take couple photos, wedding party photos, immediate family photos, and extended family photos and were still able to attend the last 30 minutes of our cocktail hour. The photos turned out absolutely stunning. I have never loved this many pictures of myself, ever. April provided a sneak peak of our photos nearly 24 hours after our wedding ended, and she provided so many more photos than I expected. I highly recommend April and can't thank her enough for making our day so special and capturing so many special moments!

I wish I could give her a million out of 5 stars! April strikes exactly the right balance of being your BFF and a true professional! We found it so easy to relax around her, which shows in the photos. She gives easy-to-follow instructions that make the photos look great without feeling overly posed or unnatural. We had great vendors for our wedding, but April was by our favorite by far! When booking with her, she shared multiple galleries with me so I could see the flow of a whole day and get a sense for her style. She was also a preferred vendor for our venue, so she was able to even help us decide on a wedding date based on past weddings she’d photographed there (and when the greenery was most lush without being too hot). She was very flexible about rescheduling our engagement session when I had a ring disaster that required repairs. We were able to do two locations for the shoot that allowed us to get a more park-like feel with our pups and some downtown vibes, too. April is organized, well collected and a source of calm on an otherwise hectic day. Really led the flow of the day (despite having a planner), and I am SO grateful we had her as our photographer. She is also very competitively priced for the level of service she provides. Besides her absolutely amazing work, another thing that stood out was that she did not have an hour limit of on her time with us on our wedding day. It was nice knowing she would be there for everything we wanted captured. We were also SO impressed with how quickly we got our photos for both engagement and wedding galleries. We received 600+ of our photos within 48 hours of our wedding 😮 and got a several hundred more within a few weeks! It was so wonderful getting to see them so soon after and made me even more grateful we went with her after hearing horror stories of other couples not getting photos back for 4+ months. April was absolutely AMAZING on my wedding day. She was fun, flexible and got every single picture I ever wanted (and some I didn't even know I wanted). April sent us sneak peaks two days after our wedding and we are blown away! She has the absolute best eye for details and her photos are breathtaking. April is hands down amazing. We flew her to Colorado for our engagement pictures and it was the first time we met her in person. I can’t say enough great things about April! She has been amazing to work with since first booking her in early 2020. One of the most stressful things for me during wedding planning was hiring the right photographer. Photographs for me were so important on my wedding day. I’m so thankful I stumbled across April’s page and booked her! From the second I got on our initial call together I instantly felt connected and at ease and just knew that she would be our wedding photographer. Throughout the planning process April was always so helpful and knowledgeable. The months and weeks leading up to our wedding I felt so taken care of by her. She helped me build a timeline and took all of my wants and needs into account. She arrived on time the day of the wedding. April was the first photographer we met with and from the moment we sat and spoke with her, she captured us! We knew that we wanted her as our photographer to help capture our special day. She is just a breath of fresh air, her personality shines through and it was what made me love her! We navigated through COVID and having to reschedule our engagement photos, not once but twice and she was always so hopeful and happy! She knows what she’s doing and her photos turn out beautiful! April is THE BEST! I honestly knew from the moment we met for coffee that I wanted April to be our photographer. I had a hard time finding a photographer. I loved people’s work but I just didn’t vibe. Then we so happened to land on April’s Instagram and made an appointment with her, she was like a breath of fresh air. Just less than 2 months before our wedding, we got news that our reception was supposed to cancel and we paid for a certain package which we didn’t anymore. April was SOO accommodating, she’s been so supportive this whole process and she’s so much more than a photographer. She is what you call in the south “ good people. We absolutely love her work but more importantly we love her! 100 percent would recommend her to anyone wanting someone with quality work and the best personality!

From the beginning of the wedding planning process to postponing our wedding to considering postponing our wedding again to the ACTUAL wedding, April was amazing in every way. She went out of her way to reach out and help us through the whole process and made us feel so comfortable the day of. My bridesmaids kept telling me how amazing she was as well. I LOVED working with April!!! I absolutely loved my sneak photos I received the very next day, and got many compliments. She takes amazinggggg photos but she does way more than just take photos. She’s very attentive of anything you may need- she helped me several times throughout day/night such as going to get my garter from bridal suite ( I didn’t even remember I left it behind but she did)! My timeline got off due to people in bridal party running behind but she was quick to rearrange it and make everything work! She is super easy to work with and sweet. April is so awesome! We met up with her for coffee to talk about about our wedding and we could just tell she was the perfect match! Her bright and airy style was exactly what we wanted. She navigated awkward family moments with ease and kept things moving. She put us so at ease with everything! We live in DFW, and she was so flexible and met us there for our engagement pictures. April Mae is simply THE BEST photographer I have ever worked with, and I would book her again 100 times over. I wanted our pictures to tell our amazing love story, and April did exactly that. In addition to being the perfect combination of cool, calm and communicative, she has an eye for noticing detail and creating beautiful scenes. There are not enough words in the universe to describe how grateful I am for April. From our first meeting, she made us feel at ease and comfortable. My (now) husband was worried about the engagement photos being awkward because some of his friends told him they would be. But April made it so easy! She helped us relax and actually enjoy taking them. He even agreed to do more photo shoots in the future because he had so much fun taking these! She brought the same energy to the day of our wedding too! She’d give direction for the picture but it’s like she quickly learned what was natural for us making taking a lot of pictures fun and effortless. She was one of the main reasons our wedding day was so spectacular. (She was even about to handle my large, crazy family in a very tight window. All 50+ of us trying to take a family photo before the sun went down.) Not only did she make us feel so comfortable, but she even provided us with a sneak peek of photos THE NEXT DAY! And we got married on a Friday and she was working another wedding on Saturday. She is a rockstar. The photos were so gorgeous. I cannot wait to see the rest of them! I know I am going to cry. She captured so many special moments and emotions. I will forever be grateful we found her! On top of all, she does not have an hour limit. That is unheard of. She will be there with you every step of the way. Whenever I told the other vendors she was my photographer, they would immediately light up and start gushing about her. That spoke volumes to me. If you are looking for an out of this world photographer, she is worth every single penny. She brought ease and comfort to a high stress day and was able to capture so many moments we will forever cherish.

I cannot say enough amazing things about April! She is a phenomenal photographer who truly puts you at ease at your wedding. She kept everything and everyone on track. It was so easy to work with her and I am eternally grateful for how fun she made our photos. She was a miracle worker with all of our extended family!
