About this vendor
Hi there! My approach to photographing your wedding is informed by my passions of street photography and my training as a musician. My eyes and ears guide me to anticipate what might unfold and I hope to reveal the nature of relationships and the emotions felt on your wedding day. I mainly work with small cameras to be as unobtrusive as possible.
For portrait sessions, I minimally direct couples, to capture a sense of spontaneity and show your connection to one another. While I am very fast and decisive when setting up large group portraits, I also keep it loose and fun for everyone. And, everyone who has come together to celebrate your day – that is, all of your guests – are equally important to me photographically.
Light, color and composition are an obsessions, which largely comes from working professionally in a color darkroom, where I learned to paint with light. This becomes especially fun to play with on the dance floor, where you will see me all over the place, until it’s time to go home.
I am based in Brooklyn and New Orleans and also available for destinations worldwide.

very In the Moment, something that was very important to me. She was like a little ninja, darting in and out of the crowds to get the best angles. Also, she's super fun and easy going, making my chaotic day a breeze. Her pricing is very reasonable and you definitely get more than what you pay for. We hope to renew our with another parade in 10 years, and if she's available we'll use her again for sure!

April was out of town for our ceremony day, so Nicolette came with Galina and she was every bit as professional and kind to work with. They were discreet, even with the location changes, yet were always nearby if I wanted a specific picture. They took post-ceremony family photos go by quickly (thankfully), Galina has been quick to respond to all emails and questions, we got the engagement photos back very quickly, and Galina even sent us a preview of the ceremony photos a few days later. We used them for 3 separate days/events, so the overall pricing was totally worth every penny. I highly recommend them!

married at a huge estate in New York, and they were running all over the property to capture every moment, splitting up to capture different locations at the same time. They were like ghosts when it came to the ceremony, capturing everything without distracting anyone - like true professionals.
