time to help one of my bridesmaids who has extremely short and curly hair plan a look that would actually work for her. It was so easy to talk to her and ask for changes and she was able to get my long thick hair to hold a curl not only all night but through really wind photo sessions!

My previous hair and makeup artist had forgotten my trial appointments and several other things, so we needed to look for someone to help less than a month before the wedding. My fiancé reached out to Laura and told her our story. She was so gracious and kind, that she took us on right away! I appreciate how Laura made sure to communicate with me often, making sure I gave her feedback after the trial and incorporating it right away, as well as easing any anxieties I might have had. Finally, did I mention what an awesome person she is to talk to?! We talked so much about where to find good food, k-dramas, and animes we were watching! Such a cool person!!! Thank you Laura, for the best possible experience I could have had with hair and makeup!

ay my friend's engagement photos looked and was excited to also work with Laura for my wedding this past June 2024. Laura was also kind enough to add in makeup appointments for my mother, mother in law, and my fiancee for our wedding day! It was an awesome bonding experience for us to be able to get ready for the big day together and have our trial makeup appointments together as it was all of our first professional make-up experiences. Laura was kind, efficient, and receptive to any questions or requests about adjustments to our looks. 100% would recommend Laura!

basis and calls it a day, I loved that after showing Laura some inspiration photos, she was able to create gorgeous hair and makeup looks that added her own flair to them. She has such a beautiful eye for detail and while getting ready, my cousins and bridesmaids kept commenting on how pretty my hairstyle was. I had two different hair ornaments that wanted to use, one for the ceremony and one for the reception, and Laura graciously stayed and helped exchange them out and helped secure my super poofy veil into my updo. Even with all the accidental pulling while walking around, the veil stayed perfectly in place. Laura is so patient and so kind and she really took her time to make me look and FEEL beautiful. While looking for wedding vendors, we wanted to find people who honored and celebrated diversity by showcasing people from all different walks of life in their portfolios. Asian eyes, in particular, can be very difficult to work with in the USA since many makeup artists do not always take the time to educate themselves on the different ways the eyes need to be contoured. But with Laura, she did such a beautiful job with my eye makeup, and my MIL and SIL, who she also did makeup on, looked stunning and their eyes really popped. She took such care with the base makeup and my skin was glowing, even with a violently brewing chin pimple. Her assistant Sean was lovely and did a great job with my bridesmaids' hairstyles! I really appreciated that they helped retouch my bridesmaids' curls on request as well! Truly, their hair looked so gorgeous! I feel so grateful that I have found a friend in Laura and truly, for my BIPOC brides, she has put in the effort to learn how to make sure she honors your features and showcases them in the most beautiful way! I would highly recommend hiring her for all your beauty needs!

Both hair and makeup held up so well and looked amazing all night! Lastly, she and her partner were just so enjoyable to work with! could confidently entrust my hair and makeup to for my engagement photo session. As I was wearing a qipao, Laura worked with me to create a beautiful but simple updo that complimented my dress and hair accessory. For makeup, she color-matched me perfectly and her eye makeup complimented the shape of my eyes so well; I have never felt so beautiful in my life. I am so so excited to hire her for my wedding and for fellow brides of color in MN, cannot recommend her more! She is also so communicative (we stan someone who emails back promptly) and was great about talking me through all the different steps that go into her hair and makeup! I will update this review or write another after our wedding for those services, but for engagement sessions, she knocked mine out of the park!
