Finally, did I mention what an awesome person she is to talk to?! We talked so much about where to find good food, k-dramas, and animes we were watching! Such a cool person!!! Laura was also kind enough to add in makeup appointments for my mother, mother in law, and my fiancee for our wedding day! I had two different hair ornaments that wanted to use, one for the ceremony and one for the reception, and Laura graciously stayed and helped exchange them out and helped secure my super poofy veil into my updo. Even with all the accidental pulling while walking around, the veil stayed perfectly in place. Laura is so patient and so kind and she really took her time to make me look and FEEL beautiful. While looking for wedding vendors, we wanted to find people who honored and celebrated diversity by showcasing people from all different walks of life in their portfolios. Asian eyes, in particular, can be very difficult to work with in the USA since many makeup artists do not always take the time to educate themselves on the different ways the eyes need to be contoured. But with Laura, she did such a beautiful job with my eye makeup, and my MIL and SIL, who she also did makeup on, looked stunning and their eyes really popped. She took such care with the base makeup and my skin was glowing, even with a violently brewing chin pimple. Her assistant Sean was lovely and did a great job with my bridesmaids' hairstyles! I really appreciated that they helped retouch my bridesmaids' curls on request as well! Truly, their hair looked so gorgeous! I feel so grateful that I have found a friend in Laura and truly, for my BIPOC brides, she has put in the effort to learn how to make sure she honors your features and showcases them in the most beautiful way! I would highly recommend hiring her for all your beauty needs!

As I was wearing a qipao, Laura worked with me to create a beautiful but simple updo that complimented my dress and hair accessory. For makeup, she color-matched me perfectly and her eye makeup complimented the shape of my eyes so well; I have never felt so beautiful in my life. I am so so excited to hire her for my wedding and for fellow brides of color in MN, cannot recommend her more! She is also so communicative (we stan someone who emails back promptly) and was great about talking me through all the different steps that go into her hair and makeup! I will update this review or write another after our wedding for those services, but for engagement sessions, she knocked mine out of the park!

Both Laura and her assistants listened to myself and my bridesmaids throughout the whole process, giving us expert advice and helping us to decide on styles that we were really happy with. I appreciated how Laura offered more natural styles and worked with me to find a look that felt "me" (I don't wear makeup or style my hair often). She is such a wonderful person and I can't recommend her enough!

ervous about the makeup application. It didn’t seem like a good amount of coverage & didn’t leave me feeling super beautiful. So for the wedding day, I had her use my own foundation so I could feel my best. My bun ended up falling apart during the reception of my wedding. My hair accessories didn’t stay in after the ceremony because they weren’t secured enough. In terms of personality, Laura is more shy & reserved, so I wouldn’t recommend for someone who is in need of more guidance. Some of my bridesmaids were unhappy with how their hair & makeup turned out as well.

all of us look fantastic and I was so happy to have her at our venue instead of having to consider timing to and from a salon. They ran almost an hour ahead of schedule which, personally, I thought was great so that any other last minute hiccups could be taken care of if needed before the ceremony. We all also got small portions of our lip color to reapply as needed which was super helpful for pictures and after eating at the reception. Laura is super easy to contact and chat with and such a nice person. I will definitely be recommending her and her services to anyone I know who needs make up or hair services done!

We did a romantic updo for my hair with a hair band...it made me feel like a princess. I danced a lot and my hair and makeup were great throughout the night. The other two women that helped did amazing work on the ladies in my bridal party and everyone was ready in time for pictures. Enough time was allotted but they all worked very efficiently. Highly recommend!!!

The trial we did in Aug for my Oct wedding went flawless as she helped me get ready for my bridal shower and everyone there was so impressed which was great since it was my bridesmaid who also used her for my wedding. Laura was so helpful in creating a look I loved during the trial run! She also was able to do my hair just by looking at a picture of what I wanted. For the wedding day, she created a schedule for me and my bridesmaids for hair and makeup and it was great. She’s super organized and so nice! Laura and her team were amazing and everyone’s hair and makeup looked amazing. One of her hair stylists Alyson was also super patient with our squirmy flower girl! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
