We're so glad we hired Arch City Lights for our wedding! Our number one goal in wedding planning was to give our guests a good time, and this band more than delivered. The reception was an absolute blast, and the band kept the dance floor packed all night. Emily was also a great MC. Throughout the evening people kept coming up to us to tell us how great our band was, and weeks later now we're still receiving compliments and being told how much everyone enjoyed themselves. I may be biased - it was my own wedding, after all! - but I don't think I can overstate how fun and memorable the evening turned out. And of course, this is all thanks to our fabulous band!

Arch City Lights was truly amazing and helped us have a wedding reception that matched the energy and love of our wedding day. The party was nonstop from the first song to the last. Our guests raved about the band, and the praise is still coming in! They brought energy, enthusiasm, and so much talent. Their repertoire of songs is vast and they learned multiple songs by request. DJ’ed music during breaks kept the party going without losing the crowd or the vibe. They are also flexible and can add brass instruments to accommodate your size and preference needs. Emily was professional and communicative throughout – from chatting with us for awhile after one of their showcase events, to organizing a shared doc that had all the information we needed – and more we hadn’t even thought of, to checking in multiple times the month before to confirm final details and keep the communication going. Arch City Lights also arranged the string duo for our ceremony music – and they were fantastic. It was incredibly helpful to have all our music needs taken care of through one vendor. We would recommend them to anyone and will cherish the memories they helped create for a life time. 10/10 band!

Emily and the entire Arch City Lights band made our already magical NYE wedding even more perfect! Emily was so communicative leading up to the event and really wanted to understand our goals and love for music to make our reception match our style. The day of, they were prompt, professional, and attentive. The talent from this band is unmatched!! Emily's voice is simply incredible and the band's talent and energy were palpable! All of our wedding guests raved about the talent on stage and the fun they had. I think Emily and the band are mostly responsible for the FUN! They did a great job of reading the crowd and keeping the party going until well after midnight for our NYE Wedding Celebration. 5 stars is an understatement. They are FANTASTIC!

We got married over 8 weeks ago and are still getting compliments on the wedding band! Arch City Lights brought SO much fun, energy, and positivity to our special day. They were super responsive and positive throughout the entire planning process, they were flexible when some AV stuff came up with the venue, and they delivered the most fun environment we could've asked for. They are a very talented band, they were open to learning a couple songs that we requested before the wedding, they let us hop up and sing with them at the end of the reception. They are well-connected within the Columbus music scene, so if you want extra horns or whatever they'll always find a way to make things work. 100% recommend Arch City Lights, they will always hold a special place in our hearts and we will definitely keep them in mind for future events!

The BEST band. Emily was so great to work with for coordinating the music and picking songs. They learned a couple of special songs for us that really made the night special. We added the Saxophone and all of our guests complimented the band/music all night. They were phenomenal- just book them!

Throughout the night, each member had their moment to showcase their skills and each member absolutely killed it! Arch City Lights was the hit of our wedding! Our guests could not stop raving about how much they loved our wedding and the band! Emily and the other members were amazing! They kept the energy high all evening and are so talented! We had requested them to learn Ants Marching by Dave Matthews Band for our wedding and they KILLED it! We had Arch City Lights for my wedding band and they really brought the party to the next level!! Out of all vendors and services we were in communication with, they were the most easy to work with. Emily was always quick to respond and made sure all of the boxes were checked off well ahead of time. 10/10 service wise. When it comes to them as a band, they have such an amazing spectrum of talent. You can tell all of their members are extremely passionate and they all are just as friendly as they are talented. We checked them out a couple months before our wedding at one of their local shows and had a great time listening. They brought even more energy to our wedding. They clearly have as much fun performing as we all did dancing. We hired them for ceremonial strings, jazz for cocktail hour, DJ work for announcing and for music between acts, and our band. They were always open to learning new songs that weren’t on their typical set list as well. 100/10 performance wise. Arch City Lights was my husband and I’s very first booking for our wedding when we got engaged, they are THAT PHENOMENAL. We first heard this group at a wedding we attended, and instantly knew we needed them to play at ours. Our celebration was this past weekend, and to say that Arch City Lights BLEW THE HOUSE DOWN is a complete understatement…we had a full and active dance floor the ENTIRE night!! As a fellow musician, having a band at our wedding was a priority and I bow down to all of them, our 7-piece band was just insane (especially Emily, the girl can SING). Emily was extremely detail oriented from the very beginning, and made sure that she knew all specific announcements and special song selections before the reception. Trust me, you WANT a band and you WANT this group; The energy they bring is completely unmatched. Your guests will thank you and remember it forever!

We could not be happier with the performance Arch City Lights put on for our wedding reception! Emily did a great job of providing MC services through the evening. The eight-piece band brought so much energy to the dance floor that could never have been matched by a DJ. They played a nice variety of fan favorites that all guests could enjoy. We hosted a gala for the 200th anniversary of The City of Columbus Division of Fire, and Arch City Lights was the absolute PERFECT band for the event. They asked ahead of time for the overall vibe of the event, age of the crowd, etc. They were accommodating, kind, communicative, and INSANELY talented. I can't believe they have so many incredible musicians in one group! Every single one of them is a star. I simply cannot recommend this group more for any event. You will be blown away - and so, so happy!

Where do I begin? Booking Arch City Lights for our wedding was the best decision I have ever made. They are absolutely epic. If you are debating between them and another band, book Arch City! I was looking at the Knot like those of you reading this, when I realized that I had seen Emily perform with her other band Whiskey Business in Columbus years ago. I remembered being amazed by her talent and beautiful voice. I felt like this was a sign that she was the one! I reached out to her, and she responded promptly and answered all of my questions. (If you have any reservations whatsoever or really like to do your homework – I would encourage you to see her perform at Brothers Drake or Due Amici.) Booking Arch City really elevated our entire wedding into another dimension. I feel like I don’t have the words to properly convey my gratitude for them. We adore live music, and we wanted a band who could keep our guests dancing all night long. Their performance felt like a personal concert, like someone said below. Many weddings I have attended in the past seem to drag, and many people leave early. At the end of our night, it felt like barely anyone left – our dance floor was still packed! If you want a unique wedding experience and ensure that your guests have a blast – Arch City will make it happen. They had a such a wide range of music to select from, and it appealed to all generations that were fun for the whole family. My niece and nephew who are 4 and 6 did not leave the dance floor AT ALL! Aside from that, know that Emily is truly a professional, along with all of the other band members. She made the planning process a breeze (you can tell she is very experienced). The band helped set up sound for our ceremony, had a jazz trio play during cocktail hour, emceed the entire event & introduced the bridal party, and had two long sets during the reception. There were no issues during any part of the process – no mic reverb, no power outages, nothing. Emily gave us their master set list before the wedding and we were able to pic the genre we wanted (Motown and funk, yes please!), and they offered to learn any new songs we wanted as well. The jazz trio helped the cocktail hour feel very intimate and set the tone for the evening (we were able to watch from a balcony at our venue after photos). I also want to mention that I emailed Emily many times with my ideas, and she always responded with positivity and even better ideas! During the Anniversary dance, Emily sang At Last by Etta James. When she belted out the first lyrics, I felt like my body was melting into the floor. Her voice is INCREDIBLE! At this moment, I just felt awestruck. If you book them, definitely have her sing that song! We have been told by so many guests that our wedding was the best wedding they had ever been to, and I know it is because of Arch City Lights. We have received endless compliments on their energy, performance, set list, and talent. I have wanted a band to perform at my wedding ever since I was a little girl, and I know I chose the right one. Our wedding day was the best day of my entire life, and Arch City Lights played a huge role in that. It was everything I have ever dreamed of. If you look at reviews below, everyone gave them five stars for a reason. Not a single bad review. As I said above, it will elevate your entire wedding day experience, and it will be talked about for years to come. 10 million out of 10! Book them ASAP!

Asking Arch City Lights to be part of our day was one of the very best decisions we made. From the beginning, Emily was incredibly responsive, thorough, and patient. On the day of the wedding, the power went out at our venue about an hour and a half before the ceremony was to start. Arch City moved heaven and earth to get a battery-operated amp so they could still play the most beautiful piano music for our sun-lit ceremony. I am not a musician, but we had several guests who are, and they all said this was the best band they'd ever heard at a wedding. Arch City played some old folk tunes, classic rock, modern pop songs, and EVERYTHING in between. If you're on the fence about hiring a band or even this band, don't be. They ROCK and had everyone on the dance floor immediately. LOVE THEM!

We saw this band perform down in Columbus and hearing the first couple of songs we KNEW we had to book them. They were the absolute best part of our wedding. Our entire dance floor was packed all night and they kept the energy up all night. Every single band member is so incredibly talented. Emily and Arch City Lights were THE ultimate wedding band for our day! I was truly blown away hearing them play on our wedding day. I knew they were good, but the way they performed at our reception was absolutely phenomenal. They're a band I'd buy a ticket to a concert for. Everyone had such a fun time, the energy they brought really made the reception! Not only was the reception band fantastic, our ceremony music and cocktail hour music couldn't have been more perfect. It was beautiful music for the occasion and so incredibly well played. It's been a month since the wedding and all of our guests keep talking about how incredible the band was and I couldn't agree more. Aside from the performances, the communication from the day we booked them was so appreciated. Emily was so responsive to every email/phone call, she made the process easy. They were very receptive to our requests for songs at different points of the evening, they even learned our first dance song to play and it was better than the original. I couldn't believe how wonderful it all turned out, we can't thank Emily and Arch City Lights enough!!!

We knew we wanted live music for the reception, and were so happy to have connected with Emily and the band. They were professional, affordable and accommodating to every wish we had, even allowing me and a friend to step in and jam with the band. I cannot recommend ACL enough! Emily was so responsive, organized, and was so easy to work with. On the day of the wedding, they were able to set up (both ceremony, cocktail, and reception music) all with ease and ready to go! Their energy was amazing and the transitions to DJ for the breaks were so seamless you had no idea. They brought the energy and Emily even let me sneak the mic to sing Spice Girls - what more could you ask for?! So many guests are still raving about them and how fun they were!

Working with Emily and Arch City Lights as a whole was truly a breeze. They allowed you to customize your experience with them as much as you need. Emily does a great job at keeping the timeline for planning etc. and initiating communication along the way. We had Arch City Lights set up sound for our Ceremony for which they did not play. Everything sounded great, was a very modern and minimal setup (they use computers for mixing etc. so it is not overly bulky). The quality was incredible and there were no squeals or sound problems. They were able to set this up very quickly and efficiently and the staff were calm, very friendly, and followed all venue rules etc. - only asking questions when extremely necessary. We also had Arch City Lights perform as a Jazz Trio for our Cocktail Hour. This was while the wedding party was taking photos, so I am very happy that we got a video. They were very engaging, extremely talented, and you could tell they had a great time playing. It really set the perfect mood for the cocktail hour. Emily was the Emcee for the entire wedding. Her "stage presence", calmness, and ability to roll with the punches made her the perfect candidate for this job and she worked hard to make sure she pronounced every name perfectly (which she did - even Metivier (haha)). She has a great voice and really added the narrator and vibe that we needed. She followed all cues and social prompts on her own and really took charge of the whole process - making everything go very smoothly and perfectly accompanying all of the wedding pieces with pre-chosen music that we determined together. They DJ all of the songs you want and make it very simple. Lastly, Arch City lights played us into the night and was truly the life of the party. They adapted their original schedule from 3 sets with 2 breaks to 2 longer sets with less breaks (I am assuming to keep the party going - thanks), and this show will be talked about for years to come. Every single attendee made sure to comment on Emily and the others' "pipes," and skills on their corresponding instruments. They did an amazing job playing songs that we asked for and keeping the party rocking. They had a full band with Horns etc. and everything about them was perfect and professional. If I had some constructive criticism to give, I really would, but Emily and Arch City Lights went above and beyond in so many ways to make this an unforgettable night. I would not have changed a thing!

Arch City Lights is THE BEST WEDDING BAND. We absolutely loved every aspect of this band, from the beginning planning stages to the incredible show they put on for us on our wedding day. Emily is so professional, kind and talented and makes every part of the planning process so easy. The band is also truly full service, from the wedding ceremony music to the cocktail hour trio to the bridal party intros to the reception dancing. They not only learned our first dance song but were able to slow it down to make it easy and fun to dance to. But the true best part of this band was their show during the reception. They played the most fun party songs while keeping it clean and professional. Even our stodgiest aunts/uncles were on the dance floor because they played such fun, multi-generational songs. We didn't give them a ton of direction (just genre and a few must play, don't play) and it turned out so well. My family is super hard to please and they all said the band was the absolute best part of the wedding. I'm so grateful we had Arch City Lights as our wedding band and know hiring them was one of the best decisions we made!

Great to work with. Asked all the right questions. Friendly and most importantly the timing of the music was awesome. Acoustics were good and were professional and did what WE wanted and catered to what was best for us. Doing business was great with them too. Very fast to respond.

Brides and grooms to be: THIS is your band. I can't say enough good things about Emily and Arch City Lights. 1. They sound INCREDIBLE. I'm a professional singer so I was VERY picky when it came to choosing our band. They are flawless singers, musicians, and performers. Look up their videos on YouTube; they sound even better in person. 2. Emily was my quickest email responder out of EVERY vendor we had, the most reliable, the most detailed, kind, and fun! She also allowed us to do our first dance, cake cutting, bouquet toss, father-daughter dance, mother-son dance, and other announcements WHENEVER we wanted. I had another potential band option tell me they could only do those special songs within their sets, but Emily was SO great with all the different times, cues, and special requests. 3. Emily worked with me on budget and personal needs for our wedding which was above and beyond. For example: we needed an early set up before our ceremony. Early setup is an extra charge, but thanks to Covid we also had to end our reception earlier than originally planned. Emily could have easily charged us for early setup and the full fee we had already agreed to for performance time, but she eliminated their final 45 set of songs, and did the early setup at no additional cost. AND all of this happened 4 weeks before the wedding and she didn't even flinch. She was smooth, kind, calm, cool, collected, professional, and just awesome. She's just good people. Wedding choices are hard. This one doesn't have to be: hire Arch City Lights.

Arch City Lights is FANTASTIC! We began the evening with their duo during cocktail hour and then moved on to the larger band for the party. Everything was perfect! They provided just the right tone and temp for cocktail hour and then opened up the fun for the rest of the night. The whole crowd was dancing. I highly recommend them!
