We recently got married on the Lady Mary with a guestlist of about 60 people. The boat was the perfect place to get married and then party after. The Argosy staff, especially the venue coordinator Justin, was helpful in the lead-up to our wedding and worked with us to get the boat set up the way we wanted it for our ceremony and reception. The staff on the boat was great during our wedding and Captain Tony gave us a smooth ride through Lake Union and Lake Washington. Being on a boat provided such beautiful and unique views for our wedding, and we heard positive feedback from all guests regarding the venue itself and the staff during the event. Overall, the Argosy crew brought the vision of our boat wedding to life!
My husband and I recently had our wedding and reception on an Argosy Cruise ship with their flexible Wedding Package. It was the perfect venue for us. Not only is it unique, but the views (as the Captain cruised around the lakes) were amazing. Peter and Kelly were fantastic with helping us plan all the details and answering all our questions. Everything was set up just the way we wanted it. The evening of our wedding, Captain House was delightful and greeted us and all our guests as we boarded The Lady Mary. The boat is gorgeous and just the right size for us with covered and open areas. All the crew members were so polite and helpful to every one of us. Having our wedding on an Argosy Cruise ship was so romantic and everyone had a wonderful time. We will always remember our perfect boat wedding!
Note: Since we had both the ceremony and reception on the boat, we did book an extra hour. And we are so glad we did that because our night seemed to be over in a heartbeat! So make sure you book enough time if you are going to do both on the boat. It's worth it!
This review is specifically for the boat named Celebrations (which departed from the docks on South Lake Union) and all associated crew. Working with Peter Robinson and Jennifer Stonestreet of Argosy Cruises in order to coordinate the boat rental, catering, and all the other small details was super easy. They made it a breeze when helping me to pull everything together. They answered all of my questions and were very clear about everything. The Celebrations is a lovely little boat, perfect for my smaller, more intimate wedding ceremony and reception. And let's not forget the captain! Captain Kristi Schooley was such a joy to work with. She was so sweet, genuinely happy for my husband and I. If you get the chance, try to book her for your wedding!
I wanted my wedding on the Cruise and sail into the sunset for a romantic night full of fun but my wedding party was just a little too big for the cruise to handle. Wish they would expand it somehow to accommodation bigger size party.
Love the cruise that Argosy provides!
We went on the hour long harbor tour. It was very relaxing, had great information from the tour guide, and provided a good time for those just wanting to enjoy Elliot Bay, and for those who really wanted to know about the area. Amazing tour guide!
Great way to see the city for the guests.
I planned my wedding from out-of-state, and the Royal Argosy could not have made it easier. My wedding package included a wedding ceremony with the Argosy captain, appetizers, buffet dinner, dessert, champagne toast, open bar, day-of wedding coordinator, and DJ. The Argosy's wedding planner Peter was simply fantastic, and always ready to answer questions or make any little adjustments I had. I wouldn't have gotten a wedding coordinator myself, but she was really a godsend during the wedding and kept everything moving very smoothly. The only thing I did the day of the wedding was set out some favors and hang out in the bridal room until showtime. The weather was beautiful and the ceremony/reception/ boat ride were all completely amazing and so very Pacific Northwest. Buffet was varied and the food was decent, appetizers and desserts were great, and open bar service was excellent. All of my guests were gushing over the unique venue. I highly recommend the Royal Argosy for anyone, but especially to brides who, like me, are planning their Seattle weddings from out-of-state. I thought the priceing was reasonable, and totally worth it to get an all-inclusive package. Go Argosy!
My husband and I went with Argosy for our wedding ceremony and celebration because (a)it is a beautiful, unique setting; (b)once the venue was booked, very little remained to do and organize; and (c)it fit the size of wedding we wanted to have. We had a small, 50 guest wedding, and more than one person said how it was the best wedding they had ever been to. The staff were so professional, personable, and efficient from the initial booking to the event itself. We couldn't have asked for a better place to have our magical wedding:-).
