Aria Melody DJ

very step of the way. I highly recommend Joe, and we seriously cannot sing his praises enough!

ock classics and oldies. Everyone loved it and they sang and danced all night! He was so professional helped us plan our timeline and followed up with us regularly! we highly recommend him for all events!

d them to anyone and everyone looking to have the party of the year!

mmit to taking certain songs as Must Play and would use the rest as inspiration. Nicole let us give her as many Must Play songs as we wanted and did an amazing job filling in the gaps between them. We heard everything we wanted to hear across dinner/cocktail hour and dancing. We let Nicole do her thing when it came time to hit the dancefloor and she did an amazing job of taking the artists she knew we loved and making sure that everyone was having a great time. Would definitely recommend!

hat we wanted and when. The biggest accomplishment was our last name, no one can ever pronounce it but Joe killed it :) The music was absolutely on point, some of our guests barely had dinner cause they couldn't get off the dance floor - including myself! DJ Joe and Owen immediately made me feel comfortable and completely accommodated all my requests - they're truly made for this industry! One big focus was we didn’t want a hype man on the mic and DJ Joe was again, exceeding our expectations there! Thanks again for everything, my wedding was perfect :)

o idea how to answer. Do I NEED this stuff or just feel compelled to keep up with the trends?? We didn't want a flashy reception that looked like a club, but every DJ we looked into seemed to flaunt that. After we found Aria I was so relieved. Owen made us feel completely confident in our decision to let the DJ/playlist do the talking. We booked DJ Nicole and she was everything we wanted and more. I was a little self conscious that we didn't have a distinct direction for what we wanted, but after filling out the questionnaire with some basic stuff and having our meeting with Nicole, she nailed our style to a T. I would book Aria over and over and over again if I could. Thanks Nicole and Owen for helping to make our night so incredible :)

ng about the process was stressful. A bit closer to our wedding, a scheduling conflict arose with the DJ we were originally assigned, however, Owen was very quick to inform us of this and rescheduled us with DJ Nicole, who was so sweet and such a pleasure to work with. Nicole and I had two phone calls to go over music details in advance of the wedding. Again, this was super easy and there was such a relaxed vibe. The night of our wedding, the music was fantastic. All of our requests were played and Nicole really understood our eclectic style and vibe and put her own amazing spin to things. Our dance floor was packed, and people of all generations were dancing all night long, this was all we could ever ask for! We received so many compliments about the music following the wedding, and we owe it to Nicole and Owen at Aria Melody DJ!

the start, Luke was very professional and personable. He listened to exactly what we wanted and delivered, big time! On our wedding day, he played 80’s songs mixed with some cultural songs and alternative songs which were important to me and my husband. Though they are all completely different genres, he blended all songs flawlessly. He created a casual, laid back mood which is exactly how we wanted our guests to feel. His work is truely art and we are so grateful to Luke for sharing his art with us! He even rolled with the punches and kept us all on schedule when we had to unexpectedly extend cocktail hour due to an emergency! I would highly recommend Luke for any wedding/event! Luke, thank you so much for making our day so memorable for us and our guests! We are forever grateful to you!

l the styles. Our dance floor was packed all night and he accommodated all our requests and our (extensive) do not play list. Highly recommended!!

noon and we got the dance going :)

night, and we got so many complements from so many guests that our DJ was awesome--and we couldn't agree more!

d chat over the phone and Skype. We were nervous about being able to mix together the different music that my husband, our parents, and I wanted, but Luke did this so well and our dance floor was full the entire reception. We wanted someone who would create a fun atmosphere without any of the awkward/tacky things that wedding DJs sometimes do and that is exactly what we got. Thanks for the great time!

nd I didn't want the "typical" NJ wedding DJ with flashing lights, blow up props and fog machines, you know what I'm talking about. What we wanted was someone who was reliable, would play the kind of music we love, maintain our elegant but fun vibe and allow our guests to still be able to have a conversation without having to scream at each other. If Owen said he was going to call me at 8 pm, my phone rang at 8 pm. He played for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception and it was all perfect (as were the pronunciations of our bridal parties names). Owen takes the time to learn the kind of music you like and guides you on how to make that translate to getting bodies up on the dance floor. We literally had people up and dancing during cocktail hour! Weeks after our wedding I still have people telling me how amazing the music was. I was a pretty laid back bride but still of course had the wedding nightmares and worries that vendors would "forget" our wedding but I NEVER had that worry with Owen. After our first phone conversation I just felt completely at ease and trusted him to make everything perfect, and he did. Don't hesitate, book Aria Melody DJ and I promise you, you will have no worries but you'll have the best music.

ing me to DJ Miss June and following up to ensure I was really clear on all the details for working with them to ensure our night was perfect. I think they are a great value, very professional, clearly understand the needs of their clients who aren't looking for cheesy wedding music and great sound engineers who know how to ensure that the music is perfect on your big day. I also had some follow up technical questions because we had our wedding at my parents' house and needed to add electrical to the property for the wedding, and Owen was really responsive and helpful. From my first call with June, I loved her. She is the best DJ if you are looking for someone who is the perfect combination of cool Brooklyn DJ and party DJ. She totally gets what it takes to ensure a wedding is fun and everyone has a great time, but she's cool and fun and sophisticated (and beautiful!) June was really open to hearing about us, our taste and what we envisioned for the wedding, but she also helped steer us based on her amazing experience DJing both weddings and all her other other gigs for some of the coolest brands in the world. Literally every song she played was perfect, the dance floor was always filled and she only talked on the mic when needed which was really important to me. She and her sound engineer showed up with plenty of time to ensure we were all good for our two-location set up and everything went off without a hitch. She was really responsive throughout the night in terms of sound levels, small changes to the schedule, etc. and she dealt respectfully with a couple of drunk guests making stupid suggestions. We really couldn't be happier with the music for the wedding!

ral event that required a Chinese song which I provided for the tea ceremony and some Spanish songs sprinkled in. Aria Melody stayed in contact from the beginning and let me feel like I didn't have to stress out about the music. I would definitely recommend their services.

ach point in the evening (cocktail hour/during dinner/different points of the dance set), and also did a great job MCing . We couldn't have been more pleased. I was also surprised by how many specific songs you choose for various points in the night (walking down the aisle together right after the ceremony, entering the reception for the first time, etc.), and Rob made great suggestions for all of those. Hopefully I don't have to get married again, but if I do then I'm definitely going to have Rob DJ!

. Played a great mix of top 20, oldies, group dance songs, etc. Can not say a bad thing about Aria Melody DJ!

t (acoustic rock for cocktail hour, downtempo/lounge electronica for dinner and a varied upbeat party playlist for after full of throwbacks to different eras). He was very easygoing and familiar with everything we sent and did an excellent job mixing. As all reviews indicate, Aria is known for its simple, "clean" setup (no branding, no talking into the mic, no in-your-face set-up) and it worked perfectly for our rooftop Manhattan wedding!

lly the service, responsiveness, and desire to make our event a success that made our experience exceptional. Rob did a fantastic job of getting all the groups at our wedding on the dance floor - everyone commented on the quality of the music and had a blast. Rob also DJ'd the cocktail hour / dinner and did a great job aligning with the vibe we wanted to set at each point in the wedding. Finally, Rob was very flexible and was willing to go late when we decided to extend our wedding by 30 minutes last minute. THANK YOU for making our wedding so wonderful!

terrified we'd end up with a goofy guy in a goofy suit playing line dances and the chicken dance all night. Finding Aria Melody really put all of those concerns at ease. Rob really understood the style and the feel we were going for. My husband and I are both a little snobby when it comes to music, but we also wanted all of our guests to have a good time. We were able to pick the majority of the playlist, and Rob did a great job filling in the blanks where things were missing. There was so much dancing! Even where my husband and I kind of "dropped the ball" with picking things like entrance music and cake cutting music, Rob basically figured it out on the spot, and it was all perfect. I had MULTIPLE guests come up to me during the reception and tell me that they normally didn't like the music at weddings, but that they loved every song. And of course, there was no unnecessary yelling, no inflatable saxophones, and no corny gimmicks. I'd say that everything was perfect. The planning process was also painless. It was very easy to get in touch and communicate. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Aria Melody to anyone, especially if they share any of the some concerns about your typical gimmicky wedding DJ.

eated such a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. Our guests are still raving about what a great time they had!

, Rob had a good touch with the crowd and all of our friends loved the music. I don't think I stopped dancing the entire night.

e highly recommend Joe!

ur reception was in a lofted bar space in Hoboken, and we were looking to leave all formalities at the door. We didn't want any intros or any other big to-do's, but the music had to keep the party moving through it's various ebbs and flows. Rob did just that and more. Having worked with us in the months leading up to the event through a collaborative playlist on Spotify, Rob was able to get a great sense of our musical tastes. It turns out we had a lot in common across genres we never would have guessed. A quick phone call a couple weeks out from the wedding to go over our list and any other last minute details, and we were set. On the night of Rob absolutely killed it. Playing a mix of top 40 with some choice throwbacks and guilty pleasures of yesteryear, he had everyone moving and commenting on how much they loved the music. He was even able to adjust on the fly when I realized I hadn't included any reggae for the Jamaican side of my family. The best part of the evening was the last half hour when just our closest friends remained, and Rob dropped some choice tracks from the late 90's pop punk era that brought us back to high school. And the best part about all of this was he did it all without saying a word and being that over zealous combo of DJ and MC, which is exactly what we wanted. The music did all the talking, and we couldn't have been happier. If you're looking for people who love music for music, and want your event to speak for itself without someone on a mic doing it for you, Aria Melody and Rob have our vote ten times out of ten.

lessly. Owen is very responsive and helpful, and our DJ Joseph was everything we could have hoped for. He worked with us to create playlists on Spotify that were our 'must-haves' and other songs we like and from there he made sure the songs flowed together. I would definitely recommend Aria Melody DJ to anyone looking for a professional and personalized music experience.

reat working off our playlist and helping us make a balanced list to please all of our guests. Everyone said the music was amazing and kept asking who our DJ was. It was a pleasure having June DJ our event. I would recommend Aria Melody to everyone. You know the DJ was on point when ALL of your guests are dancing and singing along the entire night. Thanks for making my night so memorable!!!

r many suggestions. Our tastes were somewhat idiosyncratic, but Rob's instincts were spot-on and the playlists came together perfectly. On the day of, everything went off without a hitch - and he got literally every single person, from infant to grandparent, shaking their tailfeather! Many people told us afterwards that it was the best wedding DJ they'd ever experienced. We can't recommend Aria Melody enough. Thanks!

me Top 40 to please the crowd. He listened to us and got a good feel for our style. He was flexible enough to have a phone conference with us at the very beginning and meet up with us last minute to discuss final details. We didn't have to worry about a thing. Nothing flashy or corny went into it either, as promised. Owen was great to communicate with and responded very quickly to emails. I would definitely recommend this company.

in all of them! He met and surpassed my dad and I's expectations. No cheesy music and no electric slide. Rob was professional and easy to reach via email and phone. The music and reception went on without a hitch. TWO THUMBS UP FOR THIS AMAZING DJ !

e knew we were in good hands. Our DJ, Joseph Schimicci, was professional, upbeat and open to any musical request we had (and we had a pretty wide array). "Don't worry," he said, "I'll fill in the blanks." He did an amazing job, both with the music and keeping the evening running smoothly. Our guests could not stop talking about great our DJ was!

mix of songs and a freeform kind of wedding schedule. In the end, everything was perfect - a truly excellent value, an easy booking and communication process, an unobtrusive DJ, and tons of fun.

dn't stress at all about the sound/music leading up to the wedding which was a huge relief as I knew we were in good hands. We booked Joe for the standard 4 hour package plus another hour for an additional $200 and on the night of the wedding we were able to extend for another 30 minutes which made our night. Joe played all of the songs we submitted plus mixed in some oldies when he noticed that my parents were tearing up the dance floor. The sweetest thing was when he remembered to play a song for the last song of the night that we'd told him about over the phone but had forgotten to follow up with the artist in writing and as a result I didn't expect he'd play. Essentially Joe will make sure that the night is special and meaningful for you which is really all that matters. Don't hesitate to book Joe at Aria Melody DJ for your wedding!

y being a bride during some of the music bits, because I would have LOVED to have been part of the surprise funk session that broke out in the middle of the night. Joe was great at moving in and out of songs that weren't getting people on the floor, something that only happened maybe twice. He was very easy to work with (so mellow that I was even a little nervous about his potential energy levels--I shouldn't have wasted my time. He was totally on his A-game), and even sourced a few songs that I was worried would be difficult to get. Four months later, and people are still talking about how fun our wedding was. Joe was a huge part of that, and I'm so grateful.

o go with a DJ, as bands are many times limited to what type of music they can play. We decided to contact Joe and after talking to him we booked him right away. We didn’t want lasers, lights, smoke machines, or anything kitschy at our wedding. We wanted good music, someone easy to work with, professional, and to listen to our needs. Joe was exactly that, he showed up in a three-piece suite and as soon as we met him our wedding stress went away. We had several calls leading up to the wedding on what music we wanted and did not want and Joe delivered. We have been to many weddings where the music drags on and on, and only one genre is played. That is exactly what we did not want. We had various ages at our wedding and wanted something for everyone. I can honestly say Joe took our list of songs we like and seamlessly turned it into a party for all. No on was sitting down at our wedding, even the slower dinner music was great. Our wedding venue and photographer also commented on how easy Joe was to work with, something, which is very important during a wedding, as you really have no control. If you a are looking for a DJ who genuinely cares about you, who listens to what you want, and as professional as they come, then Joe is your man, don’t even look elsewhere. Oh and his price is a steal compared to other DJs. Thanks Joe for an amazing day!

g the time to chat with us about our music interests and ideas. He used that feedback to craft a genuinely unique and personalized night that we will never forget. Several guests approached me over the course of the evening to tell me how great the music was, especially the covers and mash-ups that Joe weaved in to keep the party on point all night. These guys really know how to gauge a crowd and keep everyone on their feet. We couldn’t be any happier with the job that Aria Melody and Joe Dunn did at our wedding and I would recommend their services to anyone without hesitation. We used their services for our Ceremony, Cocktail Hour and Reception. Joe did an awesome job of making each part of the night come to life using music that captured each of our personalities and tastes. I want to have another big party just to have Joe DJ it again! Thanks for everything! Mike and Sara

would be the perfect fit. We discussed our music interests and our vision, and he really seemed to understand us and what we wanted. The music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception (he did all three, which were held in different rooms of the same building) went off without a hitch. The music was just amazing – it was “us.” And when it came to dancing, he had the dance floor moving the whole evening. A lot of guests even told us that it was the best wedding they’d ever been to, and we know that the music had a lot to do with that. Joe was also able to accommodate last-minute requests and additions. He and Aria were an absolute joy to work with, and we highly recommend them to anyone looking to have a personalized, seamless, and stress-free experience.

ia Melody and we are so grateful they did! My husband and I love to dance and like all different types of music and wanted a little bit of everything played at our wedding. It was definitely an eclectic mix and Joe Schimicci at Aria was beyond exceptional. Prior to any wedding there are so many items to worry about and of course everyone wants that special day to be absolutely perfect. My husband is a complete control freak when it comes to music, especially when it came to our wedding day and it was amazing to have complete confidence that the music at our wedding would be exactly how we wanted it and to have one less thing to worry about during the days before and day of my wedding. Joe was great at reading the crowd to change the songs and keeping everyone on the dance floor. I think the only time our guests sat was while eating dinner. Thank You Aria Melody for providing an experience we will remember for the rest of our lives!

layed good music. We definitely got that with Joe S! He was so helpful with planning the music and delivered everything we asked of him. Our guests are still commenting on how much fun dancing was and how impressed they were with our DJ. I'd recommend Aria Melody to anyone getting married! Great experience!

our DJ and she was amazing. She was professional, friendly and accommodating. Although the bride/groom picked out quite a few of the songs for the playlist, Nicole filled in with the perfect music. Fun was had by all! I received many compliments which makes me look really good. And it wasn't a corny DJ show.. everything was classy. Owen set up the equipment and is who I booked Aria Melody with. He is also quite professional and really knows his stuff. All in all, I would highly recommend them.

helpful suggestions. He was so sweet and personable and everyone had such a great time. Can't wait to work with Joe again! -Christen & Joe

what we wanted, and kept the party going the whole night. I don't think the dance floor was ever empty! We got so many compliments on the music. I think people thought we picked all the songs but we trusted Rob to go off of the songs we had originally selected. We couldn't be happier with the night! Thank you for helping us create an amazing wedding!

a tacky DJ who was on the mic all night playing cheesy music. Joe played all of our "must plays" with seamless transitions from one song to the next. He kept all of our guests (& us) on the dance floor all night. We keep receiving compliments on how much fun our wedding was. It wouldn't have been the same without such an outstanding DJ! Thanks Joe!
