Arko Dance Studio

My husband and I were looking for a dance studio that could teach us our wedding song and dance, and we couldn't be happier with Arko Dance Studio. From the very first lesson, our instructor was patient and attentive, helping us to perfect our moves and feel confident on the dance floor. The studio itself is beautiful and well-maintained, with plenty of space to practice and a great sound system to play our music. The instructor was also very flexible with scheduling, which was a huge help as we were both working full-time jobs and planning a wedding at the same time. On the day of the ceremony, we felt fully prepared and confident, and our dance was a huge hit with the crowd. We received so many compliments on our skills, and we owe it all to Arko Dance Studio. We highly recommend this studio to anyone looking to improve their dancing skills or learn a special routine for a big event. Thank you so much for everything!

My husband and I came to Arko for lessons before our wedding. We had never danced together before and really didn’t know how it was going to go. We shouldn’t have worried! Arko was so friendly and helpful. He made learning choreography easy and helped us to look and feel great doing it. Not only did we get a beautiful first dance but we had so much fun!

Arko is great! My husband and I (married during covid, having a belated reception) like to dance, but have no experience dancing in front of people, and I often feel shy when the center of attention. We wanted to take some lessons to loosen up and feel more confident! We first tried a dance studio that's part of a chain all over the country. We did their introductory lesson, which was nice, but it felt like we were part of an almost factory set up. They clearly had a script they do with all couples, we were dancing in one corner while a class was going off nearby, so we'd either have to dance off beat to their music or pause theirs to play ours, and the instructor told us our song just wouldn't work. We just assumed this was how wedding dance lessons were until we went to Arko's studio. His studio is in this beautiful old converted church, and the second you walk in you can tell it's a different vibe! There is just so much energy and positivity! He put my husband and I right at ease, and had us laughing within minutes! He was really open to what we wanted, teaching us a lot of basic steps for fun. He heard our song and within seconds had ideas for how we could dance to it in an upbeat and entertaining way! He clearly knows and can teach classic dances (we've already learned a little Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, and Rumba) but he also knows how to choreograph a wedding dance so it's actually easy to remember and fun to watch! He even offered to edit the mp3 of our song to make it better for our dance. We've only been to one lesson so far, and have signed up for two more. He's not pushy at all either, saying we can always sign up for more if we want but he'd prefer we have the lessons first and then decide if we need more practice after that point. If you go with Arko, I'm sure you will end up with a great dance, but you'll also have a fantastic time along the way! Dance practice was something I was a little nervous for but now it feels like a fun date night to look forward to!! And the first dance, which used be a part of wedding planning that made me anxious, is now a part of the reception I am really excited about!
